March 4, 2484 / 2100 hours / Barungan system / High orbit over planet Altair / UCSC Battle cruiser "Interruption"
"So what do my dad, err, fellow chariot and I have to do? I mean we are honored by your offer but who or what are the Godlikes, are they people or machines?"
"People, children to be more precise."
"CHILDREN!? What do children have to do about winning the war with the Arbodu?"
"These are no ordinary children, they have powers that some people probably won't understand. One of them that is exceptional, she can control all types of metal and technology, she is the only one that can do that and I wanted to trust her to one of you two seeing as you are the only ones that I think she would like, she comes from Gavin and you probably know what that means, she isn't entirely human as with all people from Gavin she is part animal, Komodian to be precise."
"I can deal with that, my junior is a Gavin and my best friend left, although he's a cat so there might be a difference. Gavins aren't so bad once you get to know them, and get over their overwhelming amount of energy, other than that, they're awesome at anything they set their minds to."
"Yes they are most defiantly the best at anything they set their minds to and they are now, just as with your own race, on the edge of extinction."
"Yes, I heard that their planet was also attacked recently only it was nowhere near as bad because of the fact that they had warning by the picket line and got about a quarter of the planet out of there before they bio-cleansed the planet, without the black rogues it would have been worse, but even so they never colonized other planets, unlike our race, we had a few colonies."
Later on when the changes to the ship were completed we returned to the officers lounge to contemplate the consequences of this new order that will be enacted in 4 years time and in the mean time we still have our new clearance to do more research on who else is in the experiment and think on who we trust to work with us on this new assignment. "Hey dad, err, sorry it's just odd to think of you as anyone but my dad, Captain, but anyway what do you think of this new assignment to protect children, I mean sure the admiral said that they were the future of the UCSC and its allies but still."

"At any other thing if it were an option I would take you, but since I can't I'll probably take a friend of mine who has been in the fleet for a long time and is excellent at what he does, you remember Grimjaww the Kindiger, despite how odd he is as a colony being away from his colony just like all insects anything that involves lots of math is perfect for him, which is why he's one of the best at charting navigation and wormholes through space are his specialty he knows where every single one of them is and the exact coordinates where they come out."
"Yeah I remember him you had him at my inauguration ceremony back when I first joined the UCSC fleet."
