Marked as extreme because basically darker than a night without stars or the moon.

This is a little challenge write - an old request for a patron supporter and his friend.

I hope people enjoy - someone has to I suppose. Future content will resume on an ammended schedule. Patreons now have access to four stories I have yet to upload, that are not found anywhere else yet.

I have plans to release one completed story every wednesday. This should give me time to provide consistent content and to have something to incentivize patrons.

Entropy

For: Miles

Warning: Torture, extreme sadism, dark, death

Bishop sat, wiping sweat from his brow as he carefully pieced together the last few gears of his latest project. He could barely keep his hands from trembling, a mix of anticipation and sleep deprivation working against him in these final moments. He had waited so long, teased himself with his own dark fantasies for months - but he was finally about to be rewarded.

The clockwork vixen was finally ready - the only step left to power her and hope she worked. It was a massive feat for a simple tinkerer like himself, but he was never one to shy away from that sort of challenge and couldn't stand to leave things lying unfinished. With a final glance over the short robotic frame in front of him he nodded, finally ready for the final step.

Carefully he took a rather fragile wind-up crank, shoving it into a slot in the vixen's back before starting to crank - making sure to count them, methodical in each of his steps to ensure everything would go exactly as he had hoped.

"One. Two. Three. Four. Five." His grip tightened as he felt the vixen start to come alive in his arms with a sudden whir of gears - her limbs squirming around lazily as her eyes opened, fluorescent tubes within lighting up slowly until they were a bright yellow.

"Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. There we go." He finally sat the fox down, standing up next to her as he helped her to gain her balance - her first curious steps being at his side as her eyes scanned around the room.

She had been built with most of the knowledge she needed, only experiences missing from her view - ones that were slowly being filled in as she made sure to look at every inch of the room, her mechanical mind pouring over the interesting sights of the small neatly organized workshop. It was a long while before her eyes turned back to Bishop, the vixen only coming up to his waist.

"C-creator...?" The vixen backed up to get a better view of the well-dressed rat, eyes watching each small movement he made: the satisfied smile on his face, the glimmer of victory in his eyes, a hand moving to remove his glasses from his face.

"Yes, but you may call me Master." Bishop moved back against the wall. "How do you feel, tell me...everything."

"O-okay Master." She paused, the whirring of gears getting louder as she paced nervously in the center of the room - looking around and struggling to find the words to describe the various sparks running through her clockwork cranium.

"I-I feel...something...curious, happy, alive, grateful. There is so much here, so much to take in...I..."

She found herself curling her face into a smile, Bishop had taken great pains to ensure that she could feel each and every emotion a human could with as much accuracy as his skills would let him. He seemed to take great pride in seeing her process them all, work through the wave of knowledge and sensory input coming in all at once.

"W-what...what am I called?" The vixen suddenly turned to face Bishop, face curling into concern as she seemed to face a small crisis at the lack of a name.

"What do you want to be called?" Bishop stood still, not moving an inch as he watched, and listened.

The vixen's eyes scanned the room again, slower this time - more thought behind actions. She picked up on each detail - each word on each of the multiple items around the room. It was a few minutes before she spoke again, almost unsure of herself as the words finally left her cold metallic lips.

"S-Sarah?" She looked to Bishop again, trying to find some hint of approval in his still elated stare. "I...wish to be called Sarah."

"Very well, Sarah." Bishop smiled, malice shining in his teeth that the naïve vixen couldn't see.

He would continue to watch her for hours as she explored her new home even more - a new name to add to her being. He watched as she grew and learned for all that time, slowly becoming more attached to him, to the world around her. It wouldn't be until the sun's light had begun to tickle against the horizon in the distance through the windows that she'd feel a shift, a change that would bring an end to her wonderous exploration of just that tiny space.

"M-Master, I feel...strange..."

The vixen could feel something within her, an odd sensation that she didn't have a word for - as if her insides felt cold. Her worried glance looked up to the still smiling rat as he slowly moved over to grab something - holding up a small crank in his delicate grasp.

"You're running out of power, you'll need to be cranked up to keep your gears running." It took her a moment to fully understand, the vixen nodding slowly after, still worried - though she felt safe with her master there smiling at her. She knew he would keep her safe, protect her.

She couldn't have known as she started walking forward that Bishop had no intention of helping her. The crazed inventor not even trying to fight his bloodlust - not even a remorse within him as he pondered over the sick twisted ideas that poured into his mind as the excitement grew within him.

Bishop couldn't help but give into the anticipation - welling up more and more as the Vixen's movements began to steadily slow. With a single, almost instinctive, jerk he broke the fragile crank in his hands - a rush surging through his body as he looked up to see his creation's eyes fill with confusion and betrayal.

"W-why?" She could barely get the words out. If he had created her to be able to shed tears, he would imagine she would be now.

The rat didn't reply, though - merely tossing the broken pieces on the floor, letting them shatter even more against the hard wood. Each tiny clank made his heart soar, his mind bathing in adrenaline and ecstasy - ears perked and listening to the rhythmic pulses of the gears within the clockwork vixen as they took note of each and every little change.

"I-I don't understand..." The vixen still struggled to comprehend what was happening - mind churning with thoughts. The grin on Bishop's face let her know it was no accident - he could barely hide his elation at all.

All she could do was continue to stare in disbelief as she felt the gears wind down within her at a teasingly slow pace - thoughts coming slower and slower into her mind. Her confusion would give way to fear after a while, the thoughts pouring in like ever thickening soup.

"I-...W-what will happen? W-Will I die?" Her voice took on a pleading tone now, the vixen daring to waste her precious depleting energy to try to beg for her life - steps bringing her closer to her Master as her tiny hands grasped against his pants. "I-I...d-don't want to die."

Bishop merely pulled himself away from her, almost chuckling aloud as he watched the vixen fall - slowly picking herself back up. The sound of gears within her was getting slower, ticks becoming less regular and frequent. He could almost even hear it in her voice - the spark of life within her starting to be snuffed out by the entropy of her clockwork design.

"I-I d-don't...waant to diee..."

He watched her move over to pick up the broken pieces of the crank that could've given her life - vainly attempting to piece them back together as her movements became more erratic and frantic. It wouldn't be long now before he could see the life fade from her eyes - the soulless form before him left void again only to be sparked anew when his next urge came.

He had done this so many times before - with so many creations, with so many variables. It had never gotten old for him - the rush always bringing him a new high that tickled at every part of his mind. He was always so speechless, almost so entranced with the display of death before him. The helplessness, the hopelessness.

"I-I-...I..." The vixen's voice started to trail - the mechanisms starting to go too slow for even the most basic of functions. It ripped him out of his daydreaming - the flurry of thoughts in his head allowed to continue on as the vixen continued the show for him.

He watched as she walked towards him once again - slower than before with her eyes showing an almost life-like emotion to them. He could see her very being, read her emotions on her face through the cold mechanical parts. Fear, betrayal, confusion, impending death - yet she still held on to hope that he would save her.

"P-ll-ee-aa-se m-aaa-ss-t-er..." The vixen's voice became even more distorted as it trained off, each word taking so long to be spoken now - the desperate tone even more prominent.

Bishop only grinned even wider as he stepped back, letting the fox fall to her knees as her weak grip was broken. His heart was racing even still, the thrill of watching her slowly 'die' completely taking over. Even if he had wanted to, he couldn't help her, couldn't fight past this powerful surging energy through his body as.

The vixen slowly looked up, her glowing eyes slowly starting to fade as her arms made jagged slow movements for him once again. Her face was still curled in that depressed sobbing expression - it would be the one she wore forever as the final sparks of life finally started to leave her. She would see, as her last memory, the blurred darkening face of her creator grinning psychotically at her. Only a few more slow minutes passed as the glow finally became too dull the see, her movements too small to detect...the clanking and turning of gears slowly began to fade after before suddenly stopping - leaving the room silent save for the beating of Bishop's heart.
