Chapter 2 Juli
March 4, 2484 / 1240 hours / Ravoni system / planet Gavin / Outside the city of Narmi
"I've always lived almost completely alone and I never have had any close friends. The only thing I know is that the planet I live on is Gavin. I have never needed much help from others and I never seem to be seen when I get food to survive. I'm not sure what they are called but the things used to attack me the few times I have been attacked always seem to work to my will."
"Guns" said Kelly
"What?" I said
"They are called guns"
"Fine, Guns never do what other people want them to do when they try to stop me. All I know is that I can get them to change just by think about it into anything I want."
"Odd," she pulls out a hand gun, takes out the magazine, and puts it on the table. "What can you do with this magnum?"
"What, magnum, I thought you said they were guns?"
"They are but there are different types of them"
"Fine, I'll show you what I can do with one of them" it floats into the air and turns then begins shooting the wall till the gun itself has been used up as bullets and shot into the wall. "I can do that with any of them but I never hurt others with it even though they try to hurt me I just use it to tie their feet to the ground."
"Wow" is all the soldier thinking about what Dr. Orison said about this kid. "We aren't sure about anything yet but it seems that any technology or metal within her sight can be controlled with her mind so long as she is touching a piece of it for technology, metal it just needs to be there, giving her complete control of any regular ship or even your own weapons. One other unique trait about her is the bone blades that grow along her arms, they start right behind the wrists on the outsides of her arms and grow back along her arms an inch across and a millimeter thick and an inch away from her arms."
A thought occurred to her "how is it that you can talk?"
"There was this old guy up in the mountains that I used to live with taught me before the things in white and purple came, what was it you called them, um Arbodu. I met him about 4 years ago according to what he taught me."
"So why did you decide to trust me even though I don't look like any other people you've seen before but you decimated the Arbodu that tried to kill you? Not that I'm ungrateful but it just seems odd that you would know me to be a friend but not them."
"You can see me when I run and I built a suit similar to that armor on your arms and chest and helmet but not so bulky... or green"
"Wait WHAT?"
I press a button on my body about where my heart is and out comes my suit, a gold and black suit. "This is my suit."
Kelly stares in shock at what she sees and starts stuttering while thinking of the implications of someone who can do so easily and smoothly with the push of a button what takes the squad of six Black Rouges hours to put on. "Bu.. bu.. but th.. that isn't possible. It took our scientists years to come up with this and yet you are only about nine or ten years old and have one even more advanced. How did you make this?"
She hadn't noticed till then that the green shell of her suit was sitting in front of her on the ground and she was just wearing the black skintight danger suit. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
I answered that I was just interested in seeing how her suit worked I didn't even look up from the piece she was looking at, all the while mumbling formula as I studied it and took apart in seconds what had taken years of gunfire and explosions and didn't have more than a scratch or two. "What do you think you're doing? I mean sure were both girls but still you could have asked."
"Sorry but I was interested in trying to figure out if there was a way that I could condense what is here and make it more effective for you to wear."
"Still..."
Behind them Black Rogue Linda came in behind them and asked "what's going on in here?" then looked up when the sniper rifle she was cleaning started to float out of her hands and come apart in the air while floating towards me. "What..." is all she could get out as I took apart the gun and examined it. In an instant she pulls out her magnum and says "what are you? And give me back my sniper rifle."
I looked at her and say "So this is a sniper rifle, ok" I put it back together and stood up and handed it to her since my ability seemed to disturb her. "Here sorry for the scare."
Not quite sure what to make of the unusual child that made her sniper rifle float through the air and then take apart and put back together in seconds what took he a painstaking hour. "What... no let me rephrase that, how did you do that?"
"Like this" and I made the magnum float out of her hand and shoot till it was gone into the wall in the shape of the magnum.
"Yes I can see you doing it but how?..." asked Linda
"This is Juli, the girl that Dr. Orison was talking about, Linda" said Kelly.
"Oh. So she controls metal and electronics." said Linda "Thanks Kelly but still we should get going before the Arbodu bio-cleanse the planet."
In response I said "the shapes up there?"
"Yeah"
"They are coming right now"
"How do you know this?"
"The signals in the air told me, they were talking about Gavin but they didn't call it Gavin they called it 'designation: destruction target 8503', but I really don't know what that means but they were talking about someplace called 'designation: destruction target 9011' and how they lost a fleet there"
"In that case we really should leave, and find-out where this 9011 is."
"I think its planet Oringa, from what the waves translate it to."
"Well good we had to go there anyway"
"Why" was I wanted to know.
Together they said "it's our mission." To find more to train to beat the Arbodu they thought together.
