**"Why did Sophie tell me to go back to my apartment?"

Dianna nervously paced around her small living room. While her apartment wasn't far away, not being in the familiar comfort of Sophie's place was leaving her anxious, even more was the fact that Sophie told her to leave for awhile and not saying why. Dianna was already so attached to Sophie, a lot had happened in the past few months since they met and started dating. Her past was filled with a lot of confusion, misunderstood emotions and heartache. Dianna had a habit of getting her hopes up quite often, but her time with Sophie felt different. As it was often Sophie's general nature, she was a straight talker about things. If something bothered her, she said something. If she didn't like you, she'd say so. However, Sophie had never been in an actual relationship.

Dianna was still pacing around her living room when her phone buzzed. Her ears perked up as she got excited to see if it was Sophie, as she picks up her phone a smile comes across her face as it was a text message from the awaiting vixen. "Well, I'm all ready. Find something nice to wear, like classy dress kinda something to wear. Later, babe" it read. Dianna squeaks out of sheer excitement, knowing she had a dress that was given to her years ago but she never had much of a reason to wear it before. She walked up to her closet, opening the tall narrow doors to her clothes rack inside. All the way stowed in the right hand corner was a dark maroon dress. Her mother had given it to her as a birthday gift as a sort of "encouragement" to be more lady like with how she went out for dates. Dianna smiles as she takes the dress off the rack, "Well mum, I guess I'll finally be classy this time around,"

Dianna gussies up in front of her mirror, admiring how much she actually liked her dress that she never wore. It hugged her slim upper body and curvy hips. Not knowing what to do with her hair, she tied it back in a simple pony tail. She adjusts her glasses and smiles at her reflection. She walks back over to her nightstand and grabs her phone and keys, she giggles to herself about what Sophie had planned for the night. Dianna leaves her lonely apartment once more, as she walked down the old stoop. The sun was nearly setting now, the sky was a mixture of purple and orange as clouds surrounded the setting sun. Walking down the street, she could see Sophie's small apartment ahead, she was leaning on her car and waiting for Dianna to arrive. Sophie turns her head to see Dianna walking down the sidewalk, the simple maroon dress catches Sophie's eyes. She gives a smirk as Sophie didn't expect Dianna to dress so nicely.

Dianna walks up to the lovey vixen and noticed how she too was dressed, Sophie had a much more body hugging black dress, accentuating her very curvy hips. Her hair was was done up and off to the side as she often had it, but it was much more wavy and curled for this occasion. Dianna was so lost in the moment of admiring her mate's appearance, her mouth as agape as she zoned out. Sophie quietly chuckles to herself, she reaches out her hand to Dianna's face, as she gently pushed up on her chin, closing Dianna's mouth. Her eyes widened as she realized what Sophie was doing, the cat's face blushes as she gasps from embarrassment. "Oh stop," Sophie says. "You are adorable, you know that? I'm still getting used to being crushed on so hard, so it's cute to see. Now, let's get going, shall we?" she says as she opens the driver's door of her car. "Oh!" Dianna perks up. "Yes! The date! Oh my goodness, let's go!"

Dianna was watching the world pass by her eyes, Sophie was driving to a special place for dinner that she hadn't been to in quite some time. It was still early in the evening, the sun had completely set now, the road running along the beach was quiet and rather dark with a lack of street lights. After following the twisty road along the beach, lights were up ahead over to the right side of the road. A simple building, nothing elegant looking about it. A sign adorned the front, in neon red it said "Long Valley Sound Beach", as Sophie pulled into the small parking lot Dianna noticed the lot wasn't very full. The car parks into an empty spot, Sophie kills the engine and undoes her seat belt. "Well, here we are!" she says happily. Dianna wonders what's so special about this place as she gets out of the car. Sophie locks up the car and Dianna follows the vixen as she walks up the front door. No windows were on the front of the place, Dianna nervously fiddles with her hands as she walks. A bouncer stands next to the door, he looks down at Sophie, not reacting in any sort of way to the dressed up vixen.

"Marty's not working tonight?" she asks. He sternly raises an eyebrow, not expecting her to know the name of his manager. "He's out back, he's not a bouncer these days. How you know him?" he asked with skepticism. Sophie rolls her eyes and sighs. "Listen, let Marty know Sophie's here, ya dig?" she says with sass in her voice. The bulky bouncer huffs as he gets his phone out to make a call. Sophie looks back at Dianna, who looked super nervous. "Doll, don't be worked up. I used to come to this place a lot back in the day," Sophie says with a confident smirk. "Oh," the nervous cat replies. She pushes her glasses back up, trying not to fiddle with her hands again. Sophie reaches out and rubs Dianna's cheek, "Hon, you are just so dang precious, I swear," she tells Dianna. She blushes, "Sophie, oh my gosh!"

"Yeah, Marty, got this fox girl here sayin' she knows ya. Looks like she got a date or somethin'. Her name? Says she's Sophie. You know her? Really? Geez man, I had no idea. Sorry," as the bouncer hangs up and puts away his phone. "Didn't know you were a regular years ago. Sorry 'bout that," he says as he opens the door for the couple. Inside, music filled the air. A bar off to the left, an open area which looked like a dance floor and tables everywhere else. Dianna quickly catches on that this is a restaurant, like something out of an old cheesy 80's movie. As the two walked into the large room, a large figure comes in from a door off to the back of the room, behind him was a big window with lights and palm trees outside. The figure approached Sophie, a suave dressed Cheetah that seemed to match the 80's vibe Dianna kept getting from the place. "Hey, there's that crazy vixen! Sophie, it's been years! What brings you back here, eh?" he asks in a boasting but quite happy voice, "Well, I was feelin' nostalgic tonight and I wanted to bring somebody along for the ride. Marty, my girlfriend Dianna. Dianna, this here is Marty. We kinda go way back," Sophie says to Dianna. "My, my, girlfriend? Damn woman, who chased you away from the guys?" he asked in jest. Sophie chuckled, "You did, ya bonehead,"

Dianna's ears perk up. 'Wha? What's she mean by that?' Dianna thinks to herself. "Ladies, follow me this way, I'll get ya a table outside on this wonderful night," Marty says. The two follow him outside, white lights strung in the canopy setup outside and palm trees along the edges of the patio. He shows them to a table that was right on the railing overlooking to the beach. The night sky was clear and crisp, the starts faintly reflected in the ocean out towards the horizon. Dianna and Sophie sit down, Dianna still nervous. "Hon, you still all on edge? You're fine, take a chill pill will ya?" Sophie says. Dianna still nervous, doesn't know what to say. "Uh, okay Sophie," she replies. The vixen winks back at her, as she fumbles with the drink menu. 'That girl is so adorable, I swear,' Sophie thinks to herself. She smiles as she picks up her menu and looks for a wine to get.

A waitress walks up to the couple, she wore all black, black slacks, black button shirt. Her hair done up into a compact bun. "Hello, ladies. My name is Tempest, what are ya gonna start off with tonight?" Sophie puts down her menu and looks up at the waitress with suave smirk, "I'll have a jack and coke, please," she says. Sophie looks at Dianna, who's still rather nervously pacing her eyes back and forth on the menu. Without saying a word, Sophie taps the top of the menu to get Dianna'a attention. She looks up to see Sophie giving her, "the look" as she called it. Her ears wilted back as she realized she was probably going to be asked something. Dianna looks up at the waitress, stumbling over her words. "Oh, I uh. Uh, um, I think-" Dianna stops as Sophie placed a finger over her mouth. "Tempest, she'll have a green tea, hold the ice," Sophie says with just a hint of her sass.

The waitress wrote down their drink requests, "Alrighty, I'll be back in a bit!" she says cheerfully. As she walks away, Dianna put up the menu to hide herself behind more. Sophie sighs, "You strange cat, what's wrong, eh?" she says. Dianna replies only with a grumble, not liking Sophie pointing out her nervousness. "Ahem, you gotta get over your little fears, missy," she says, as takes her finger and pulls the menu away from Dianna's hidden face. As her head laid low to the table, she looked up at Sophie, who gave a simple grin and winks at her. Dianna blushes once more from nervousness, not really knowing what to do or say. But as she lifted her head up to finally say something, the waitress had already returned with their drinks. "Here we go, one extra cold jack and coke for the lovely vixen, and some green tea for the lovely cat, with, antlers?" she says in a confused tone. As she put the glass down, she noticed Dianna's dragon tail next. "A cat with antlers and a dragon tail, well then," she says, not knowing how to react now that she paid attention to Dianna's features. She walks back to the kitchen, talking to herself. "I need a vacation, I swear,"

Sophie gets up from the table, grabbing her dark drink along with her. "Dianna, I gotta show ya to be a bit more, free," Dianna looks up as Sophie walks up beside her. The vixen rests her free hand on her hip, drink in the other. "Ya gotta not let things get to ya so much. You can do so much just by not caring! I sure as hell don't. I mean, look at me! I'm a fatty, but I am killing it in this dress. My hair is gorgeous, I got eyes that everybody just melts when they stare into 'em," she says profoundly. Dianna still didn't know what to say to Sophie. But the vixen grins deviously at her mate, "Now you, you're small but toned, still got them wide hips, you're like a tiny package of cute or somethin'," she says. She walks closer to Dianna, she rests her free hand on her belly. "I mean, I feel funny Dianna. I think I might," as she rubs her belly, it starts to grow. Dianna's eyes widen, her thoughts race. 'Oh my god, she's doing that here?! But her nice dress! We're in public? What the,' but Sophie's belly reached a size and stopped, Sophie bursts out laughing. Her belly goes back to normal, she was only pushing out her gut to Dianna. "Oh my goodness, doll your face was just, oh my god that was hilarious!" she said in a fit of laughter. Dianna's face goes red as she pouts and looks away.

Sophie sits back down at the table, Dianna wasn't quite thrilled with Sophie making it seem like she lost control of her swelling trait. She sat with her arms crossed and still pouting. "Oh come on, hon, that was funny. Don't be a sour puss now," but Dianna was still cross armed and not wanting to look at Sophie. "Well, if you're gonna be like that little kitty cat, I guess you didn't have anything in mind for when we go home then?" Sophie says in a devious tone. One of Dianna's ears perk up as she tries to peek at Sophie without fully turning back at her. Sophie was leaning over the table waiting for Dianna to turn back around, making sure her cleavage was in full view for her. Dianna turned her head just enough to see Sophie leaning over the table, her tail waving about behind her back. Dianna's nervousness comes back, as now she knew Sophie only wanted to flirt and tease at this point. "Come on, Dianna. Is there something you want to look at?" says Sophie, not even trying to hide the fact that she's trying to get Dianna's attention.

Dianna finally turns around to see Sophie trying to get her attention. "S-Sophie! Geez, your boobs are almost hanging all out!" says a flustered Dianna. Sophie looks down and quickly looks back at Dianna. "Oh, these? Yeah, I know," she says with a smirk. Dianna gets up and walks away towards the other end of the railing facing the beach. Sophie leans back into her seat, "Dang it, Dianna," she quietly says to herself. Sophie gets up and walks over to Dianna, being much taller than her, Sophie walks up from behind the distressed cat and wraps her arms around Dianna. "Sophie, you don't have to be so lewd in public," she says. Sophie leans her head down to Dianna's eye level, "We're alone here, so it-" but Sophie is cut off when Dianna taps her muzzle. "Shush, fox," she replied. Sophie smirks, for the first time since they met, Dianna asserted herself. Even if it was just something as simple as telling her to be quiet, Sophie was happy to see that her influence helped Dianna a little bit.

The two watched the ocean illuminated by the starry sky for hours that night. They talked about their lives before they met, their friends and family, their past heartaches, just about everything on their minds. As Sophie sat on a bench in the outer corner of the restaurant patio, Dianna was next to her, fast asleep on her lap. Sophie noticed the position of the moon in the night sky, "Aw heck, how late did it get?" she says to herself quietly. "Oh, duh," as she reaches into her cleavage for her phone. "My big ol boobers are good for something at least," she says as she taps on her phone. "Dang, quarter to midnight. Dianna's fast asleep as it is, time to get outta here," as she rocks Dianna's shoulder. "Hey, hon, we gotta go home," Sophie says. Dianna fixes her glasses as she lets out a big yawn. Still lying on her back on Sophie's lap, she looks up at her mate and smiles. She reaches out in a daze, Sophie puts her hands out to hers and Dianna grabs them and gives them a hug. She purrs, Sophie smiles as she can tell Dianna is quite happy after tonight. "C'mon, hon. Time to go,"

Sophie helps Dianna get up and she gets up off the bench herself. The tired cat holds onto Sophie's hand as the two make their way through the empty restaurant, Sophie sees Marty by the bar as they walk through. "Hey, Dianna wait here, babe," she says as she walks over to Marty. "Hey there, leaving so soon?" he asks. "Marty, it was good seeing you again. Hope there's no hard feelings after all these years," she said. Marty heartily chuckles, "Please, I can see you're happy. Water under the bridge at this point. You're still my favorite vixen, though. That ain't gonna change," he replies. "Go on, you two get home. Y'all are welcome back any time," Sophie leans to Marty and hugged him. "Thanks, nice peace of mind knowing these are fine between us," she said with a smirk. Marty chuckles again, as the two leave the restaurant.

"Sophie, what is it with that guy?" Dianna asks as they reach Sophie's car. "Well, I've already told you, hon," she replied. Dianna looked confused as she got in the car. "Wait, you're telling me that one guy you dated, is," Dianna trailed off as she buckled in. "Yes, hon. It was Marty. I didn't exactly want to drop his name with him around. But if he heard any of that, I know he probably knew," she said as she starts her car. Dianna sighs, she knew those two were over one another, but she still got anxious about it. Sophie backs out of the spot and makes her way back out onto the main road. Dianna watches in the rear view mirror the lights from the cozy restaurant disappear into the night. She looked off into the dark plains along side of the road, watching the trees and stars. But she felt a hand rest onto hers, she looked down to see Sophie reached out for her hand. Dianna laced her fingers with Sophie's hand, as she raised them up to gently kiss the back of Sophie's hand.

"You're a sweetheart, Dianna. Don't change that at all," Sophie says with a warm smile. Dianna purrs with delight as the two drive into the night and back home.**
