#35 of The Search is Over

As Brandon and Sierra have been reunited with their friends and loved ones, what happens next? And more importantly since Marcus escaped, what will he plan next? Find out!

Cody was nudging his son's hind end with his nose, urging him a bit, "Go ahead, Henry. Say hello to aunty Sierra." Henry appeared to be shy about it, as he was trying his best to look up at the blue dragoness.

I giggled and gestured to Sierra beside me with both hands, urging him with my own smile, "Yeah, little dude. That's your aunty Sierra. Don't you want to say hello?"

Sierra was giving the cute little hatchling a smile and said, "Hello, little one."

Henry still didn't look at her and Rain asked with a giggle, as she took one step toward the little guy, "Well, aren't you going to answer her?"

Henry finally looked at Sierra, and shyly said, "Uh....Hi."

Sierra chuckled a bit and lowered her head to where he was. Henry scooted back a bit with a wide look. Sierra nuzzled his little nose with hers, "Don't be scared. I'm Sierra. Your father and mother's friend."

It's now noon in the park and things are going quite peacefully, since me and Sierra both came back to the dragon city last night. Talk about a tearful reunion last night. After me, Rain and everyone last night has shed a lot of tears of pure joy, me and Sierra went inside the motel with everyone and told them everything. We told them about why humanity has forgotten about dragons and why they became hostile. We told them about Marcus, and what he was really like. How Sierra disappeared and how she was partly the reason why the spell was made in the first place. How I managed to bring Sierra back to normal with Wayne's song to her. That Marcus escaped. We practically told them everything. All except why I was brought to Marcus in the first place, because of my gift. Me and Sierra didn't bring that up. I told her before we made it to the city last night, that it wasn't worth telling everyone that. It wasn't really that important anyways. Plus, I didn't want everyone to think I'm a weirdo. Sierra didn't think that I was, but she kept her secret with me anyways.

I can tell by the looks, including Rain's were afterward. They were shocked and intrigued by the whole story. Even they never thought that it was possible, but it was. It really was possible. And none of us never knew it, until now. I was glad that I wasn't dead last night, and Sierra wasn't the one to do it. I'm glad she came back. She really did have a good heart.

After everyone left me and Rain alone in the motel room last night, we both just cuddled close to each other. I felt like I never wanted to leave Rain alone ever again. Her thoughts were exactly as mine. We shared a lot of kisses together, and then she curled up against me. Pretty happy and content to be with me again. Both of us loved the warmth we were sharing. And it felt really good to sleep with my girl.

When morning came, me and Rain went to Wayne's house to see how Sierra was doing and when we arrived, she appeared to be fine. Wayne appeared to be more happy, when he was with her. And both of them hardly left each other alone. I can't blame them, me and Rain don't want to leave each other, also! Sierra seems to be taking the rebuilding of her life well. She appears to be ok. Which I'm glad.

Not long after we arrived, Amanda came to see her too. When she came into the house, she just ran into her adoptive mother and hugged her tight, like she had last night. Sierra didn't object the hug whatsoever. Sierra would take any hug from her daughter any day. Wayne did ask her if she should've went to work with Neal, but Amanda said that Neal can handle it. She just wanted to spend more time with Sierra, like she should have years ago. Wayne didn't argue with that.

All of us left the house, about a couple hours later. While we were walking together, Amanda told Sierra about what happened at the Braveheart while she was gone. Telling her she and Neal are owners of the restaurant now. Sierra looked real surprised at that one. Saying that she'd thought that Neal would be an officer throughout his whole life. But after Amanda told her that Joanna got sick and she and Neal stepped in to take her place, Sierra can understand why Neal retired from his job. Sierra did feel bad for Joanna's sickness. And after Wayne told her about Sierra's uncle who died years ago, Sierra felt saddened by it. But she looked liked she had let it go. Saying that she still has family left, but she would always remember her uncle. No matter how long she lives.

All four of us went to the park and met up with Frankie, Jessie, Eleanor, Cody and Henry sitting around at the park together. Sierra beamed at little Henry when she laid her eyes on him. She hasn't gotten a chance to meet him yet. And Henry looked real shy about meeting Sierra for the first time. Heck, he hid behind his parents. He hasn't met her since he was born, because of what happened to her. I can remember what he was like, when he first met me and Jessie. I'm sure he can get used to her.

Sierra made another chuckle deep in her throat, "You know I won't bite. I never was the one to hurt hatchlings."

Henry cocked his head a bit with a frown, "Are you...Really aunty Sierra?" She gave him a nod and he said, "Papa and mama said that you left, like aunty Rain." Then he stood up on his hind feet and planted his front paws on Sierra's nose, looking at her eyes, "They said you were gone for a long time. Where were you?"

Sierra rolled her eyes to her right, she was trying to come up with her answer. Then she looked back at him and answered, "Lets just say I was on a trip, a trip far away from here."

Henry beamed and giddied, "Oh, oh! Are you going to tell me a story? I want to know how far you've gone!"

Sierra laughed and gave his face a lick, "Maybe later, ok little one?" I giggled at Henry's expression. Wow that didn't take long at all. He's already starting to like her!

Henry nodded twice and got off her nose, "Uh huh." He looked up at Rain now, after Sierra rose her head above his level, "Hey, aunty Rain. I have another aunty!"

Rain laughed and nodded down at him, "I can see that. Sierra's a nice aunty, isn't she?"

Henry jumped up and down on his paws, "I never met aunty Sierra before! She's the best!"

Rain did a playful whine, "Aw, I'm not your favorite?"

Jessie giggled and asked the same question, "Yeah, aren't I your favorite?"

Amanda raised her hand with a giggle of her own, "Don't forget about me."

Sierra was laughing at that, "Yeah, Henry. How can I be your favorite aunty, if we only just met?"

He turned to her and replied, "I like blue! Blue is my favorite color, like the sky!"

Sierra cocked her head playfully at him, "Really? You love my scale color?" He nodded about three times, not totally denying it. Then Sierra said, "Is that really, why I'm your favorite aunty?" She giggled, "Is there ANOTHER reason, why you call me your favorite aunt?"

Henry tapped his chin with his claw, "Ummmmm....." Then his eyes shot wide open when he finally came up with an answer, "You're nice like aunties Jessie, Amanda, and Rain."

Jessie, Amanda, and Rain all said in unison, "Awww."

Sierra shot up her head and laughed, "I'll take that reason, any day."

Then Henry asked, "Hey aunty Sierra? Can I show you my roar?"

Wayne laughed and said to Sierra beside him, "Yeah, you'll love it." He gave her a wink.

She beamed at the idea, "Why of course!" She gestured toward the hatchling, "Go ahead."

Henry puffed out his chest, then drew back his head and did it, "Roar!!!!"

All of us cheered, except Frankie who was chuckling softly to himself at Henry's amusement. Frankie praised, "Good job, little one!" Then he held his snout to the sky proudly and closed his eyes, "You'd make a fine drake like me, one day."

Henry made a cute glare at Frankie, shaking his head, "Nuh uh! I'll make a fine drake, like papa!"

Frankie changed his expression to a narrowed one and snorted, "That's not cool." Jessie laughed hard at that and he only grumbled at her.

Cody laughed too, "He said he'll be a fine drake, like papa." Then he shot up his head proudly, "And he's right! He'll be a proud drake, like papa!"

Frankie said in irritancy when he rolled up his eyes, "Oh, shut up. I'm the proud one."

Rain laughed, "Both of you are proud drakes, and you're just a drake who likes to show off his pride."

Frankie replied with a grin, "And you know full well, that my pride is BIG." He gestured his paw at Jessie, "Jessie here saw it and she admits it's big!"

Jessie turned red a bit and was shaking her head, "Not true! I haven't even saw it yet!"

Frankie gave a playful growl, "And you might see your knight's pride REAL soon."

She started laughing and she planted both her hands to her hips. Looking up at him with both her brows raised, "I'm having a feeling that I will."

Then he raised his claw, "BUT, only when you start MASSAGING my stones." He winked at her.

She held her arms against her chest, with a glare, "Don't push it. Don't push your queen."

He waved a dismissive paw, "Oh, I won't push you too hard...Princess."

Jessie raised one arm and yelled in a high regal voice, "NOT princess! I'm QUEEN Jessie!"

All of us laughed, except Frankie who's staring down at her for a couple of moments, until he shrugged his shoulders, "An ego maniacal princess with good curves, who acts like a queen. And loves to bark orders at me. That's what I'm dealing with you."

Jessie let out a playful sigh, "And I love barking orders at you." Then she pointed at him, "And YOU like following them. Don't deny it, you dork."

Frankie was narrowing his eyes at her for a moment and then he started to giggle when he admitted, "I do...A little."

Jessie was smiling at him, "I knew you did."

He lowered his head to her level and nuzzled her forehead, "Just don't abuse your steed, and I'm good."

She put her finger to his nose and pushed him slightly away, "You know, I'm not going to make promises there."

Frankie slowly nodded at his love, not taking his eyes off of her, "I know." They were both just staring at each other, both of them with grins.

Henry bounded up to his mother and father and asked with a small tilt of his head, "Mom, dad, can we go see uncle Neal?"

Cody looked down at him and responded, "He's probably busy right now, but sure we'll go see him. Are you hungry?"

He shook his head, "Nope. I just want to see uncle Neal."

Sierra chuckled and looked down at Amanda, "Yeah, maybe you better get to the Braveheart and help Neal. He's the only owner there."

Amanda grinned at her, "Are you kidding me? After not seeing you for years, I don't want you out of my sight!"

She shot up her head and laughed, "Can't blame you one bit. Wayne and I, didn't want to separate from sleeping together last night. He practically clinged to me!"

Wayne giggled and remarked, "You were clinging to me too, old lady."

She shot a glare down at him, "I'm NOT old." Then she softened her look with a smile, "And yes, I was."

Wayne said with his brow raised along with a teasing grin, "Don't know, Sierra. Sixty six years has passed, and I'm sure that'd make you old now."

She held up her head and proclaimed, "I'M NOT OLD!"

I shrugged my arms, "Hey, it's ok. You're not the only one who's old and denies it." I thumbed at Rain, "She's old too."

Rain adamantly waved me off with her paw, "Not old either."

I laughed and turned to her with my own teasing grin, "You are to, grandma." Then I felt a smack against my bottom and yelped. As it turned out, Rain snaked her paw behind me without me knowing and smacked me with it.

I was rubbing my bottom with both hands, shooting a glare at her. While Rain yelled with a laugh, "Quit calling me grandma!" I grumbled at her and she laughed again.

Sierra hummed at her own thought, "Which reminds me." She turned to look down at Wayne, "Wayne quit calling me old, or I'll spank yours."

Cody laughed at that and said, "Really good to see you again, Sierra."

She grinned at the green drake, "And good to see you too, you little green runt."

He shot a glare at her for calling him that, but then he softened it with a sigh, "Oh well, since you're home and I've missed you, I'll let it slide."

Rain asked with a giggle, "You're going to let it slide when I call you that?"

It was her turn to get a glare from him and he answered with a small growl, "No."

Frankie asked too, when he rose his head above Jessie's level, "How about-"

Cody sharply turned his gaze onto him now and answered before he asked, "NO!"

He shot his head to his left and shrugged his paw, "Oh well, had to ask."

Cody stomped his paw, "I'm going to show you guys that I'm not a little green runt!"

I let out a sigh, "Let me guess, you going to roar?"

Cody beamed at that, "Heck yeah! I'm going to roar. And I'll roar again and again, until all you acknowledge that I'm NOT. I repeat NOT, a little green runt!"

Sierra gave a chuckle deep in her throat, "Well since you're a grown drake now, prove it. Show us your roar."

Rain giggled and whispered to Sierra, "I have to warn you, his roar always come out as a squeak."

He exclaimed with a thump of his tail on the ground, "It doesn't come out as a squeak!"

Sierra waved her paw toward him, "Then prove then, proud drake."

He gave her a nod, "Alright, I will."

I hollered to my fellow humans, "Cover your ears!" Then me, Wayne, Amanda and Jessie all pressed our hands to our ears, waiting for it to get over with.

Henry jumped up and down with joy at his father, "Yeah! Go dad!"

Frankie, Eleanor, Rain, and Sierra were waiting for the green drake to do his thing. Cody puffed out his chest and let out the biggest earth shaking roar he could muster. And god, it really is loud! Like the last two times when I cover my ears, it's still darn loud! Frankie, Sierra, and Rain both didn't flinch at all from his roar. Eleanor didn't either, while Henry was jumping up and down still.

Cody stopped roaring and he shot up his head in pride, "Well? What did you think of THAT one, Sierra?"

Me and my fellow humans all uncovered our ears and Sierra tried to stifle a giggle, "I think Rain's right. It really came out as a squeak."

Cody was glaring at her now, "I knew you were going to say that."

Eleanor nuzzled into her mate beside him, "Oh don't fret. I'd love it, even when it comes out as a squeak."

Cody sidestepped away from her and whined, "But it was loud!"

Eleanor laughed at that and she admitted, "Alright! It was loud!" Then she took a step toward him and licked his neck, "Happy?"

Then Cody smiled at his mate and replied, "Very happy."

Henry nodded profusely and was getting giddie with his paws, "Alright, roar's over. Now can we go see uncle Neal?"

Eleanor looked down at him, "Of course, honey. Come with mommy."

Henry bolted past Eleanor with a excited glee, "Yay! Come on, mommy!"

Eleanor groaned as he sprinted past her, "Henry!" Then waved her paw at us, "See you around, everyone." And with that, she turned her body to jog after him, "Henry, how many times do I have to tell you to slow down for mommy?" Both of them disappeared from sight, as it appeared that Henry was more faster than her.

Sierra was grinning big after they left, remarking to Cody, "Your son's cute. He reminds me of you."

Cody let out a pleasant sigh when he turned to her, "Yeah...He's the best thing that happened to me." Then he had a bit of a glum look, "I talked to him a lot about you. How nice you were, how me and Eleanor wished that you could meet him. I...I wished that you were there when he hatched."

Sierra showed the same look too, "Me too." Then she smirked, "But now, I did meet him and he's really cute. I'm proud that you became a father."

Cody's face lit up at that, "Thank you, Sierra." Then he started to turn his whole body around on us, looking over his shoulder, "I better catch up, so see you later." We all waved and he started to trot off, his tail swinging back and forth with each step of his paws.

Sierra still had her smirk when she said this, "Cody and Eleanor becoming parents. I'm so glad they are."

Wayne patted her side, "You surprised?"

She turned her gaze down to him, "Yep. I really have missed out a lot. What else has been happening while I was gone?"

Rain pointed her paw at her brother, "Well you see that my brother's more nicer to humans. He has been acting that way for days."

Jessie thumbed herself with a gleeful smile, "It was ALL thanks to ME."

Frankie laughed and used his wing tip to point down at her, "Yep, thanks to her majesty. I'm not an scaly asshole anymore."

Sierra eyed at him curiously when she cocked her head, "I did see that last night. You didn't growl at Wayne, nor Amanda, or Brandon and Jessie. You were talking to them, like they were dragons. You didn't even call them evil behind their backs."

Amanda raised her finger at that, "Which, we knew that anyways."

Rain shot up her head with a ruffle of her wings, "Because I was the one who told you."

Amanda shrugged her shoulders, "That too."

Frankie held a bit of a guilty look upon his face, and he lowered his eyes to the ground. He sighed, "Yeah. But I'm nothing like that now." He was putting up a big toothy smile when he peered at Sierra, "I'm really a changed drake."

Sierra was smiling at him, "I can really see that. Before I left the city beyond my control, I was wondering if you'd change." She chuckled and pointed her wing at Rain, "I'd thought that Rain here, would change you. But NO, it was a human girl that changed you."

Frankie laughed, "NOT really what you've expected, huh?"

She asked, "Well now I'm wondering, since you hated humans." She pointed her claw at Jessie, "What was so special about this human? I thought you couldn't stand any of them that enters the city."

Rain added, "Let alone, letting me hang out with a few of them."

Sierra's face went wide and she exclaimed, "Exactly! So what was so special about Jessie? What made her change you?"

Frankie shook his head and answered, "Well trust me when I say this, I didn't like her at all. Not at first." Then he motioned his paw toward me, "I didn't even like HIM, either."

Both Wayne and Amanda raised their hands, both saying this at the same time, "Don't forget about us."

Frankie tossed up his head and laughed, "Alright, no need to rub it in." Then he waved a paw and went on, "ANYWAYS, yes I hated them at first. But one day, when I was walking home from work, I ran into Jessie. Heck, she wanted to start a conversation with me. Like there weren't any problems at all. Like I didn't hate her. I thought she was stupid and she didn't get that I didn't want to speak to her. She wanted to start over with me, because I wasn't the only one who was judgmental, she was too."

Jessie added with a shrug of her arms, as she explained to Sierra, "I thought dragons were monsters and you'd kidnap innocent humans, to have them as slaves. But guess what? I was dead wrong. Dragons never did that in the first place. So when I found him that day, I wanted to start things over." She gestured toward Rain beside me, "Like I started over with Rain, for instance. I wanted to make up for all my mistakes and I have now." She thumbed to Frankie beside her, "But he didn't like me one bit, he still didn't trust me. He didn't even want anything to do with me. And I was pretty much wondering, why he hated me and humanity to begin with."

Frankie nodded, "And I did tell her why, my parents being gone because of humanity. And also what happened back then sixty six years ago, about what happened to Rain. About what humanity has done to dragon kind, after we all became friends for nine years." He let out a sigh, "I thought it was all just humanity, but I was wrong. It turns out it was this bastard named Marcus. It was his fault that he made humanity hostile."

Sierra had a solemn look and nodded a bit, "That's right, it was."

Frankie wrapped his limb around Jessie and pulled her against him. She let out a yelp of surprise, since she didn't see that coming, "And Jessie convinced me that she wanted to be my friend, that she would never hurt me, that she wouldn't treat me any differently. And so, I gave her a chance. I took her to my house and we hung out all day long, until she spent the night with me." He was looking down at Jessie, who was smiling up at him, "And I've realized that she makes great company. She really wasn't bad, after all. I began to trust her. She even sleeps good in bed with me."

Jessie giggled and added, "Even though he's always Mr. Macho and loves to show off his pride, he really does care about me."

Frankie wrapped his forelimb tighter around her, "I care about humanity now."

Sierra asked, "And let me guess, she was the one who named you Frankie? I know from last night, you have a human name now."

Jessie nodded, "I named him after my uncle. He was a grouch ass, but he was also kind. Thought it'd be fitting for a stubborn black drake, like him."

Frankie said, "Stubborn, but lovable."

Amanda smiled at them, "And you guys became mates, days later."

They both nodded and Frankie replied, "We have. And I still can't believe that it happened." Then he gave Amanda a teasing grin, "But I got to say, humans really have small mouths."

Jessie remarked, "Didn't have any complaints about your big mouth. Plus, your mouth tasted like charcoal."

Amanda laughed and exclaimed, "That's what I said when I've first kissed Neal." Then Sierra, Wayne, me and Rain all laughed with her.

Frankie rolled his eyes and said to Jessie, "Whatever, I'm a dragon and I breathe fire. Dragons would have mouths that taste like charcoal."

Jessie scrunched up her face in a bit of disgust, "I think dragons need to brush their damn teeth."

Wayne chuckled, "If only we have dragon sized toothpaste and toothbrushes, then their mouths would be MORE cleaner!" Sierra laughed near him and he did too.

Frankie let out a sigh, "Oh, get over it. I don't need a clean mouth. That's humanity's job to have a clean mouth, dragons don't need one."

Jessie got out of his grasp and took a couple steps forward, while looking up at him, "Stubborn as usual, you big black dork."

He lowered his head to her level, with a chuckle, "And you love me, as a dork."

She was nodding at him, "I love you as my knight, too." And with that, she gave his snout a peck and he returned the love with a lick to her nose. She giggled at that.

Frankie rose his head and got off his haunches and said, "Well, see you guys later. Me and Jessie are going to go flying together."

She nodded in agreement, "Always fun to ride my knight."

I asked, "Where are you guys going?"

Jessie answered when she turned to me, "It's just a flight over the city. We're not exactly going anywhere."

Frankie lowered his stomach to the ground, ready for her to get on his back, "Speaking of which, ready to go now?"

She responded when she walked to his side, "You betcha, Mr. Macho." She managed to climb up on him, and when she settled on his back, he started to rise his body off the grass. Jessie waved down at us, "See you guys around."

We all gave them a wave and Rain hollered, "Have fun!"

Frankie remarked when he narrowed his eyes at me, "And since YOU'RE my sister's mate. Treat her right, or I WILL bite your dragonhood off."

I let out a small laugh and replied, "I will. You don't have to tell me twice about it."

Jessie began to wrap her arms around his neck tight, and Frankie held up his head, "Alright Jess, here we go!" And with that he whirled around on us, made a running start on the ground full of grass, and leapt to the skies with a flap of his mighty wings. Jessie screamed happily when they took off, flying high over us and over the city.

Sierra let out a pleasant sigh after she watched this show along with us, "Well Rain, at least your brother FINALLY changed for the better."

She nodded and turned to Sierra, "Yeah, and what's more he has a mate for the first time in his life. He never had one growing up."

Sierra turned her whole body to face me and Rain, with a proud smile shone on her face, "That's good for him. Makes him less of an ass, when he's found love."

Rain laughed, "Oh he still can be an ass, but he's an playful ass."

Sierra nodded, "I bet." She started to stretch out her wings and stretched up her neck, moaning in the process, "Hey guys, I'm going to lay around on the grass for awhile."

Amanda asked her, "Can I lay around with you? I-"

Sierra looked down and shook her head at her, "No, Amanda. I want you to go to work and help Neal. You're the co owner of that place." Then she waved a paw and gazed at all of us, "Besides, I want to lay around alone under the sun."

Wayne and Amanda both had a bit of worried looks on their faces, and she gave them a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, I won't leave you guys again."

Amanda fidgeted a bit with her hands, "Mom...I kinda don't want to let you out of my sight. I really missed you."

Sierra lowered her head to where she was and nuzzled her, "I know. I've missed all of you." She pulled her face away and said, "I'm not going to leave again. I won't. I just want some...Alone time."

Wayne chuckled, "What, you didn't like the ALONE time we had last night?"

She laughed and moved her neck to look directly at him, "You know I do. But right now, I feel like I want some ME time. Alright? Don't worry, I won't be gone long, and let me reassure you ONE more time. I'm not going to leave."

Amanda walked up to her face and planted her hand softly on her cheek, "Cross your heart?"

Sierra turned her eye to gaze at her adoptive daughter, "Hope to die."

Amanda then without warning, ran into her mother's chest and wrapped her arms around her neck. Sierra giggled to herself at that and Amanda said to her in their embrace, "I love you, mom."

Amanda has let go of her, backed away from Sierra a bit and then the blue dragoness licked Amanda across the face, like she would to her child, "I love you too."

Rain nodded, "Alright, we'll leave you alone." Rain began to turn away from her, "We're going to take Amanda to work and hang there. Cody and his family are probably still there. So if you're done, you know where to find us."

Sierra walked off slowly to find a spot to lay down, "Ok, see you there."

I waved Wayne and Amanda over, when I started to walk alongside Rain on the stone path in the park, "Come on, guys." Amanda took one last glance at Sierra, before she walked with Wayne to catch up to us.

All four of us were about twenty five feet from Sierra, until Wayne held out his hand and stopped us, "Hey guys, wait."

Me, Amanda, and Rain stopped where we were at and all of us turned slowly to him. Rain cocked her head, "What? What is it?"

Wayne's eyes were filled with worry and he looked at the direction of where Sierra's at, "I'm kinda a bit worried about her."

Rain showed the same look too, "Me too. I honestly, can't imagine the kind of torture she went through. She's probably suffering from it still."

Wayne sighed, "Yeah, but at least Brandon rescued her from all that." Then he turned to us, "But I think one of us should just stay with her. Despite, that she wants to be alone."

I waved my hand and offered, "Alright, I'll tell you what guys. Why don't you head off to the Braveheart, and I'll keep an eye on Sierra?"

Amanda took a step toward me and asked, "You sure?"

I nodded, "Yeah. There's no problem. Me and Sierra will catch up with you guys, ok?"

Rain nodded slowly, "Alright." Then she playfully narrowed her look at me, "But don't get any funny ideas about Sierra. Or I'll be kicking you out of our motel room."

My eyes went wide and I laughed, "Seriously? She's with Wayne and you're thinking that I'd cheat on you."

She gave me a wink, "I'm just warning you, if you get any googily eyes at another female."

Wayne clasped a hand on my shoulder, "Yep, get any ideas about my girl, and I'll kick your ass."

I rolled up my eyes and let out a playful sigh, "Jesus, I know you guys are joking."

Both Wayne and Rain laughed and they nodded. Rain said, "Yeah, we're kidding. We trust you."

I narrowed my eyes at them, "Well good, you better trust me. What kind of a friend would I be, if I did that behind Wayne's back?"

Wayne remarked, "A dipshit cheater, that's what kind of a friend you'd be."

I walked up to Rain and put my hand to her scaly chest, "Oh, I wouldn't cheat on Rain. She's really the best thing that ever happened to me. And PLUS, we just got together. I'm not in a rush to lose her."

She giggled and lowered her face to mine, "Neither am I."

I leaned my head to give her a kiss directly on her mouth, "We'll meet up with you guys later, ok?"

Rain raised her head above my level and said, "Alright, see you guys there." She whirled around, her tail almost hitting me, but I ducked. Rain said to Wayne and Amanda, with her back turned on me, "Lets get going."

Wayne removed his hand off my shoulder and said with a teasing grin, "Remember, don't get any funny ideas about my girl."

I laughed and smacked his back, "Will you get going, Wayne?" Amanda laughed too and then they both walked off with Rain. Leaving me to stand alone on the stone path.

I let out a sigh and whirled around to meet with Sierra. Alright, here I go. I started to strode on the path, until I saw her ahead of me. She was laying around on her stomach, looking up at the sky. Her blue scales were shining off the sun's rays. She appeared to be in thought. I frowned when I was strolling toward her. She appears to be ok, but I have a feeling I know what she's thinking about. Marcus...

Honestly since we both came back home, Marcus has been on my mind since this morning. Even when I'm having a conversation with Rain or everyone that I know, I still think about him. Both of us are wondering where he could be at. And what would his next move be.

I was rustling the grass with my shoes, when I got close to her. She heard my footsteps and looked down at me. Her face went wide at my appearance and asked, "Brandon? What are you doing here? I thought you went with Wayne, my daughter and your mate."

I shook my head, "Well we were kinda worried about you still, so I volunteered to keep an eye on you." I shrugged my arms, "I pretty much thought, why not?" I frowned at her again, "So are you ok? You look like you have something on your mind."

Sierra held a glum look and took a deep breath and let it out, "I was just thinking about..."

I nodded and cut her off since I knew what she was going to say, "Marcus?"

Sierra looked at me for a moment and nodded a bit, "I can't get him out of my head. That monster's been on my mind, since this morning."

I shook my head and glanced away to see the sky, "I don't blame you. So has mine. And right now...He's still out there." I let out a worried sigh, "That bastard's still out there and who knows what he's up to. He's not going back to his hideout, since we know where he lives. So he won't be there. And he's the only one who can reverse the spell on humanity. Humans and dragons have to reunite." I turned my face back to the blue dragon in front of me, "So what can we do now? How do we even find him?"

Sierra shook her head, "There's nothing much we can do. He can be anywhere." She lowered her gaze to the grass, "The only thing we can do, is wait. Wait until something happens."

I gave her a hopeful smile, "Hey, we can beat him. I can feel it. He's alone in his own war, and it's him against all of us. He cannot win in this one." I gestured toward her, "You're free, because I've rescued you. And that means since he doesn't have his apprentice, his odds of losing go way up."

She replied with a snort, "I wouldn't underestimate him. Marcus is smarter than you think. He may not have me, but he's not stupid. He's not going to give up so easily, until he gets what he wants."

I sighed, "Yes, and he wants to start his war against humanity."

Sierra looked at me and waved a paw, "I'm sure that his spell's not powerful enough to make it work yet. When I was with him, he was close to making it work after so many years of building it. But without me, since my life has binded with that spell, he can't make it work."

I smiled at her, "That's right."

She added, "He might find a way to get back at us for screwing him over, and he'll find a way to have me back as his apprentice." She put on a glare and shook her head, "I won't be used again."

I nodded at her, "He'll pay for everything. He will. He'll pay for using you to hurt everyone." Sierra's very glum look returned on her face, and I tilted my head, "What's the matter? Something else on your mind?"

Sierra took a trembling breath and let it out. She had the same guilty look she had on her face, like the one from last night after I freed her, "I...Last night, when I slept with Wayne....I remembered something. It came to me, along with a lot of other memories. I...I did something terrible."

I took a step toward her, "What is it?" She glanced away and I waved her worries away, "Look, if you're worried about what I'd think, don't worry about it. Whatever it was that happened. It wasn't your fault."

She hissed at herself, "But I didn't try hard enough to stop myself. I...I didn't stop it."

I shrugged my arms, with a curious look, "Stop what? What did you do?"

Sierra shut her eyes tight, taking a deep breath, "I'm sure that there was no other time that I've done it. It only happened one time. I'm sure, it happened a few days ago. It was out in the woods."

I walked up and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. Talking to her in a soothing voice, "What is it, Sierra?"

Her body shuddered and she didn't say anything. Until she finally let it out, "I was hunting in the woods during the day...After talking to Marcus the night before. I caught myself a deer and....I...I...I've found a human." She opened her eyes and looked right at me, "A human hunter. He was just some middle aged human hunting, and guess what? I've interrupted his hunt."

I have a feeling what she's going to say, but I asked, "What happened?"

She turned her gaze on the grass again, "I caught that man and....I killed him." I let out a small gasp and she shook her head in guilt, "He was begging for his life, and I've killed him anyways. I...Slammed my paw on him and all his guts spilled out of his body. I saw the blood." Her body and wings trembled, "I called myself a monster, after killing that man, and I didn't stop it. I didn't try real hard to stop it."

I gave her shoulder a rub, shaking my head, "Sierra, don't blame yourself. You just didn't have the strength to stop it on your own."

She turned her head to me with a fierce gaze, "I've killed him, Brandon. I've murdered someone. I've made a lot of mistakes back then, but this was the worst one ever. I was LIKING it. I...I could still feel the blood on my paw right now."

I denied it, "But it wasn't your fault. You were under Marcus's influence. And you said that you were liking it, that wasn't even you. That was Marcus's apprentice liking it. And you're not her. You're Sierra. The loving caring dragoness, who always learned from her mistakes. You're not that dragoness. Even what you said to me when you were under his influence, wasn't you. I was talking to the dragon who only had one feeling, and it was hate. YOU Sierra, have a lot of feelings. You're everyone's friend, you're Amanda's mother, and you're Wayne's love." That's when I gave her shoulder a kiss and rubbed it in, "I know you. You thought you were a monster before, but you never were. And what happened with that man, that wasn't you. You were under someone else's influence and became someone that you're not. If there was anyone at fault at this, it's Marcus. He made you that way, and he'll pay for that. We will avenge that man, who was slain because of him. None of this was your fault, Marcus did this."

Sierra lowered her head a bit and blinked at me. I got my hand off her shoulder and slowly took her chin with my hands, "I know you, Sierra. And don't do this to yourself. You're still that girl. Not that other girl, who didn't care about anyone but her master. And I'm looking right at you, Sierra. I'm looking at that girl." I gave her nose a kiss, "I'm looking at my friend."

Sierra's face lit up at all that and she let out a calm breath, "I...I guess you're right. You said it last night, that it wasn't my fault. And you're still right. It wasn't my fault. I would never kill that man, but that other girl did. I won't let it get to me again."

I gave her a smile and backed away from her, "Good."

Sierra stared at me for a long time and finally said, "I can see why Rain loves you. Why you two are together. You wouldn't give up on someone like me. You're the one who makes her happy, since Tommy." She shook her head at him, "I honestly feel sorry, for what happened between them."

I said with of a glum look thinking about Rain, "Yeah...She still thinks about him."

Sierra got up on all fours and said when she glanced down at me, "I don't blame her. I still think about Eric up to this day, too. But she'll always be happy with you, just like I'll always be happy with Wayne."

I chuckled a bit, "Well Marcus will pay for ruining her relationship with Tommy. I can promise Rain, THAT much."

She shot up her head and made one step near me, "Got that right." When she was right beside me, she looked down at me with a look of gratitude, "Thanks for making me feel better. And still...Thanks for rescuing me. I still appreciate it."

I waved her off and we both started to walk off together, "You're still welcome. You belong here with Wayne, your friends, and your daughter. Not with that sick bastard."

She gave me a devious grin, "Tell you what, if I get ahold of that asshole, I'll let you have the honor to kill him."

I let out a laugh, "Maybe I'll let YOU have the honor to kill him."

She shrugged her shoulders, when we started walking on the stone path together, "Oh well, we'll debate about it later. Lets meet up with Amanda and our mates."

I giggled and muttered, "Yeah, don't want to keep them waiting." And with that, we both kept walking until we were out of the park, on our way to the Braveheart.

*****

Sierra said this with a small tilt of her head, with a glum look, "I'm still sorry that you're sick, Joanna. I actually do hope that you get better."

Joanna reached to her snout with a paw and gave a hoarse cough, "Oh, this sickness hasn't brought this old gal down yet." She chuckled and lowered it back down, "I really missed you, sweetheart. And I'm very glad that you FINALLY came back! You've been gone for ages!"

Neal sat down on his haunches beside Sierra, "Yeah, me too. I've missed my best friend."

Wayne giggled beside me, and raised his hand to wave, "And this lucky guy, missed her too!"

Sierra laughed, "Gee, you guys are just too much."

Neal leaned his head onto her to nuzzled, "We're always too much." She giggled and nuzzled back.

It has been about a couple hours, since me and Sierra came to the Braveheart from the park. Both of us arrived to see that Cody and his family weren't there anymore, but Amanda was back to working with Neal as co owner of the place, and Wayne and Rain were sitting at the table waiting for us. They did ask if Sierra's alright, and she said she was fine. Which it was thanks to me that she is. They didn't even order their food, because they waited and wanted to eat with us. Soon after we sat down, me in between Wayne and Rain, while Sierra was sitting close to Wayne, we all ordered our food.

Sierra while we were waiting for our food, draped a wing around Wayne, and Rain did the same thing with me. I didn't object having her wing around me one bit, her warmth always feels good.

While all of us were eating and chatting, along with Neal and Amanda, since there weren't any other new customers buying their time, Joanna and Sebastian both arrived and saw us here. Joanna looked really happy to see Sierra and the blue dragon felt the same way about the old magenta dragoness. Sierra practically unwrapped her wing off of Wayne and bounded to the old girl, wrapping her limbs around her for a hug. Joanna even cried a bit to Sierra.

So right now, Sierra and all of us are still talking to the old dragons, while I'm still sitting between Wayne and Rain. Sierra said this with a shot of her head toward me, "Well it was all thanks to Brandon here, that I'm back." She waved her paw, "Wasn't for that little guy, I wouldn't be here."

I waved them off, "Aw, it was nothing."

Sebastian's eyes went wide, "Nothing?! Ancestors, you said it was nothing?! You brought that girl back home after so many years of disappearance, and you say that it was nothing?! You're a hero!"

Rain chuckled deep in her throat, and looked down beside me, "Yeah! You are a hero!"

I was smiling up at her, and then at them, "Oh, all of you would've done the same for me."

Rain let out a playful sigh, "Being modest, eh?"

I let out a laugh, and nudged her with my elbow, "Heroes are usually modest. This is my first time being one."

She lowered her head and planted a kiss to my forehead, "You look cute when you're modest. And just for the record, you're always a hero to me." I reached up to kiss her nose and we both shared a giggle.

Joanna beamed at me and Rain, "Oh! Since there are no other customers here, I'll say this. I've heard from a certain old bronze drake, that you and Rain are mates now. I'm proud of you two, congratulations!"

We both nodded and said, "Thank you."

Sebastian nodded at me, "Can I take a guess, was she the one that you were trying to tell me? The one who was different?"

I let out a sigh and nodded at my father figure, "Yeah. I mean, I tried to figure out how to get past my problem and stop feeling conflicted about her. I was wondering if it was really ok to be with her that way or not."

He asked, "And is it?"

I smiled brightly and gave a nod, "Definitely. And now since two nights ago, we're officially mates."

Sebastian replied with a small swish of his tail, "That's good, kiddo. Rain's a very special girl. She takes that specialty from her mother."

Rain hummed in delight at the thought, "I'm nothing special. I just look like my mother, a lot."

I looked up and said lovingly to her, "I can see why your father wanted her."

She chuckled and looked back down at me, "Aw, you're just saying that."

I waved my hand and shook my head, "Nah, I'm not kidding. I can see why your father wanted her." Then I pointed up at her eyes, "And I can imagine that you have eyes just like her."

There was a bit of a red showing on her cheeks when she blushed and she said, "Thank you." I was gently rubbing her scales in a loving matter and she muttered to me with a giggle, "You're really sweet, my little drake."

Sebastian tossed up his head, "Oh, this is very cute. Young love has blossomed."

I giggled deviously, pulled my hand off of her and said to the old drake, "Actually for the record, I'm young and she's a grandma."

Rain's blush went away and she hissed, "Brandon, I told you today to not call me a grandma!"

Amanda playfully scolded me, "Yeah! Don't call your girl, a grandma!"

Sierra pointed at Wayne, "That goes double for you, Wayne!"

Wayne laughed his head off and spat back, "You love it when I call you old!"

She thumped her tail on the floor, and stomped her paw on the floor as well, like a hatchling not getting her way, "I'm not old!"

Wayne laughed again and said, "I love you, old lady!"

Then Sierra teasingly shot back, "I hate you, you little shit!" Then all of us laughed at that.

Joanna turned her attention on Sierra and cocked her head, "Alright, now I'm curious. What did happen to you? Why did you leave the dragon city? This wasn't the first time you left without saying goodbye."

Sierra hung her head and explained, "Well what happened to me sixty six years ago, it was different than I left when Eric died. It's a long story."

She asked, "Care to explain? What really happened to you? How come you never came back?"

Sierra nodded slowly and gazed back at the old dragoness, "I guess, I'll start at the beginning. Well you see it's like this...."

She talked about what happened to her in the past, and I joined in as well. Explaining every detail about Marcus, what his plan was, what he used Sierra for, everything. Joanna was surprised by the story, she never heard of anything like that. She never even heard of that cave with the chamber too. Apparently, no one has.

Joanna hummed, with her eyes apparently in shock, but with curiosity, "Hmmm. That sounds horrifying and mostly bizarre. And I thought the only magic that happens in the world, is the gem on stage and the invisibly cloak over the city."

Wayne added with a nod, "And that pretty much explains, why me and Amanda still remember our dragon friends, including you guys."

Amanda shook her head, "I wouldn't forget my red lover and he's right here."

Neal chuckled, "You better not. Or I'll SURELY find a way to forget you."

Amanda shot a playful look up at him, "Oh yeah! And how're you going to do that?"

He made a frown to himself and just shrugged his shoulders, "Don't know, but I'll figure it out."

Amanda brushed several strands of her brunette hair, "You wouldn't find a way to forget me anyways. I'm always the one you'll remember."

Neal narrowed his eyes down at her, "Yeah, for being a bitch MOST of the time."

Her face went wide, then she made a glare. She began to thrust her finger into his scaled chest, "Because YOU drive me freakin crazy, you big red scaly pervert."

He declared when he raised a claw and held up his snout, "And THAT is the reason why she's a bitch!"

Amanda rolled her eyes, "So damn what? Big red scaly pervert are my trademark words!"

Neal replied when he tossed up his head, "Ha! And my trademark words are 'you have good curves'." He was giving her a big toothy grin.

She hissed through her teeth at him, "Neal, don't make me kick your stones very hard again."

He curled his long tail protectively around himself, "Not going to let you, if you try."

Amanda gave him a mischievous grin, "Oh, I'm not going to try to kick them now. I'm going to kick them later."

Neal narrowed his eyes and they're full of suspicion, "You better not, woman."

Rain giggled mischievously, "She will, Neal. She's very determined to do it later."

He snorted at her, "Shut up." Then we all laughed.

Joanna held a glum look for Sierra after that, "Oh sweetheart, I'm very sorry for all the torture you went through. It's not right. If I wasn't sick and all, I'd give that son of a bitch a piece of my mind."

Sierra nodded at her with a big grin, "I know you would. You maybe old, but you have balls." Then she hung her head again and sighed, "I'm just sorry that I've missed sixty six years of my life, because of Marcus. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to my uncle. He was the only family that I had left and he's gone now."

Joanna nodded sadly to her, "I know you loved him so much, he missed you too. He said to me before he died, that he would always watch over us with the ancestors. And I think, he is."

Sierra replied, "And I'm sorry that you don't have a mate anymore. You guys were so close."

Sebastian gave her a comforting smile, "If you want, I can be your father figure too. It's not like I don't treat everyone here as my family." He shook his head, "I know that I'm not your father nor your uncle, but I can still try my best to be your family."

Sierra rose her gaze at him and smiled, "I'd appreciate that, Sebastian." Then she came up with an idea, "I kinda have an idea. Joanna, you don't have a mate, right? So why don't you give it a try with Sebastian? He seems nice and trustworthy enough to be your mate."

Joanna gave a chuckle, "Sorry to tell you this, sweetheart. But Sebastian has his sights set on another female."

Wayne giggled, "Yeah, and he told all of us that a few nights ago."

Sierra eyed curiously at Sebastian, "Really? Who?"

Sebastian giggled shyly and gestured to me, "Might want to have Brandon, answer that question."

Sierra turned to me and I shrugged my shoulders, "I'll tell you the truth, I'm surprised that he likes this certain person that he hasn't met before. But after everything I told him about her, he's charmed. Charmed by my description of her personality and her looks."

Sierra snickered, "Well don't keep me waiting. Who is it?"

Rain said, "You'll be surprised."

I reached into my pocket and Sierra got closer to the table. I pulled out my photo of me and my family and held it out to show Sierra. I showed her mom, when I pointed at her, "He loves her. My mom."

Sierra stared at the photo for a second and grinned, "Hmmm, no wonder he's charmed by her. She's one beautiful female human."

I pulled the photo away from her gaze and remarked, "I sorta don't think that'd be possible between them. But when they do meet, Sebastian would really do her wonders. She and him have a lot of things in common. For instance he lost his family, and mom lost my dad."

Sierra softly nodded, "I bet he would do her wonders."

Sebastian gazed up in awe at the ceiling, like he was looking at the sky, "Diana. I hope, I get to meet Diana."

I nodded at him, "Me too, dad. Me too." I looked at the photo in my hand, thinking about mom. Hmmm....Now when I'm looking at her in the photo, I'm getting a strange feeling now. Like something doesn't feel right.

Then that vision that I've had about my house being burned to the ground came to me. Is that what I'm having that strange feeling? Am I getting worried about her? I probably am.

Maybe I should ask Rain to take me home tomorrow. I need to try to see mom again. This time, during the day. Maybe I can get her to meet Rain and the other dragons. Show her and explain to her what REALLY happened to me.

I'll talk to Rain tonight. I need to do this.

*****

Diana yawned a bit when she parked her car in the garage at home. Turning the headlights off, parking back home after another late shift at work. She's feeling worn out. She put her keys in her purse, used the car door handle to open the door and got out of there. She slammed her door shut after that and walked out through the side door of the garage. The stars were shining above her, as she was walking through her yard to the front porch. She let out a loud drawn out yawn again, when she made her first step on the porch. When she reached to the entrance to the house, she opened it up and went in. She's now inside the comfort of her own home.

Diana placed her purse on the dining room table and took her jacket off, she was trying not to fall down to the floor to sleep. She needed to stay awake for a little while longer. But unfortunately, her tiredness wasn't making things any easier for her. She opened her mouth wide and yawned once more. She shook her head to herself and stretched up her arms. Diana went to the living room and saw the photo of her and Brandon when he was about eight years old. She held a bit of a smile on her face. Knowing from the letter she had gotten from him, tells her that he's still alive. Not long after she got that letter, she did call the police and tell them that her son's safe and there's nothing to worry about anymore. She even went to Jessie Dobbin's house and met her parents. Telling them that she's ok and she's safe with Brandon. They were a bit concerned about her still, but they agreed that she'll be alright. She also told Horace that her son's alive, and he was happy to hear that. And now after all that, Diana has been waiting for her son. She knows that he'll come back home to her, when he's ready. And she'll be ready for him. And he'll be so happy that she's not with Gerry anymore. That Gerry's gone forever. That there will be no more abuse, no more screaming, and she won't take the blame anymore. That she'll be the only person living in that house. She'll keep waiting for him, until he comes home.

Before Diana could move a muscle, she heard a distinct noise from other room. It sounded like it was coming from upstairs, from her master bedroom. It sounded like a footstep. Now she doesn't feel tired anymore, since she heard that. Her heart pounded as well. Diana looked up at the ceiling and hollered, "Hello?" Then a thought crossed her mind and she took a step forward, without taking her gaze off the ceiling of the living room, "Brandon? Are you home?" At first, she was thinking that Brandon's home, but she also remembered that it's very late to come over and visit. She's thinking that a burglar broke into her house and is still there, hiding upstairs. Diana thought about calling the cops, when she felt her cell phone in her pocket. But she feels like she wants to check it out, before jumping to conclusions. Sometimes, her house makes noises.

The middle aged woman began her trek to the stairs, held her hand onto the banister and started going up them, taking one step at a time. Diana made it to the second floor and made her way to the master bedroom. She went in there and her eyes trailed throughout the room. But there was no one in there. She let out a breath of relief, seeing that there was nothing to worry about. No burglar has snuck in her house to hurt her. Diana was heading deeper in her room, getting ready to change her clothes into pajamas. When she went to the closet, she heard a voice behind her, "Were you expecting Brandon?" She gasped and whirled around to see a man wearing a purple robe carrying a long staff behind her. He grinned at her, "No wonder, he wanted to get away from you. He's your momma's boy and you can't get enough of him."

Her eyes went wide in surprise and she asked, "What the? Who are you? And what the hell are you doing in my house?"

The man in the robe giggled, "Why, I'm a friend of your son's. He and I, are buddies!"

She eyed his robe with a face full of curiosity, "You're a weird fellow wearing those clothes. Are you some kind of monk?"

He laughed and shook his head, "Nah, I'm more like a wizard." He thrusted his staff towards her, "Do you not see the staff in my hand?"

Diana was getting suspicious of him and she asked, "What do you want? If you're looking for my son, he's not here."

He nodded with a very grim look, "Oh, I know. Actually, I came to see you."

Diana eyed him with more suspicion, "Why? Who are you?"

He took a step toward her, "My name is Marcus. And your son and his friend fucked me over, and he's about to pay."

She raised a brow, "Hold on, I thought you two are buddies."

Marcus replied, "Well WERE buddies. But then he and his friend fucked me. And now, I'M the one who fucks him over." He was walking menacingly toward her with each slow step.

Diana knows where this is going and she picked up a broom nearby with both hands and threatened him with it, "You get the hell out of my house!"

Marcus stopped where he's at and laughed, "Wow, your son has, balls and I see his momma has balls too." Then he narrowed his eyes at her, "Why am I not freakin surprised?!!" And with a swish of his hand, the broom flew out of her hands beyond her control, landing on the hardwood floor with a clang. Diana looked surprised at that and saw that the green stone on his staff began to glow. Then he closed his eyes and opened them back up, to show that his eyes don't appear to be human.

Diana gasped loudly at the sight and was having the feeling of dread shown on her face and is deep in her body. She shook her head and screamed, "Stay away from me!" She ran out of her room, not bothering to look back. She ran down the stairs and ran to the front door. She tried to open it, but it wouldn't open. She pulled it real hard, but it still wouldn't budge. She ran to the dining room window and screamed really loud, in case a next door neighbor was awake, "HELP!! HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!" She picked up a chair to break the window, but all of a sudden, it flew out of her hand and crashed on the floor. Diana sucked in a sharp breath of fear, as her blood turned ice cold at the sight of Marcus already downstairs with her.

Diana started backing away from the menacing figure, until her back's pressed against the wall. She gave him a pleading look, "Stay back. Please...Stay back. My son never did anything wrong, he's such a good boy."

Marcus was pacing toward her, one step at a time, hatred showing in his eyes and they're flashing at her, "Your son never should've gotten involved with his friends. He should've stayed at home where he belonged. And now, wait till he sees what I'll be doing to mommy." Her face went wide, as he got a bit more closer to her and she let out a high pitch scream of horror.

*****

Under the bright sun, Rain flapped her wings while I was riding on her back, with the wind rushing at my face. Sierra and Frankie were flying too alongside her with Wayne and Jessie each on their backs. All of them were flapping against the wind.

Last night after me and Rain were in our motel room, after hanging with Sierra and everyone else all day long yesterday. When me and her finally had our alone time together, I asked her if she could take me back home to Leon again. Well land outside of Leon in that spot in the woods, like we had before. Rain was wondering if that was a good idea, since Marcus is out there, but I eased her worries when we've found Frankie, Jessie, Sierra, and Wayne out on the streets and asked them to come with us. Just in case Marcus is watching us and we'd become prepared. There's no way, we're losing Sierra again. Nor anyone else.

Rain flapped her wings again and in the distance from up in the air, I can see Leon up ahead near the highway. Rain, Sierra, and Frankie began to glide down to a clearing in the trees for a landing. When they were close to the ground, all of them back winged and all of them stuck their hind feet out, touching the grass and landed. They all resettled their wings on their backs and lowered their bodies at the same time. Not long after that me, Wayne and Jessie all slid off and landed on the grass too.

I let out a sigh and looked toward my hometown at a far away distance and stretched my legs. I let out a bit of a moan, "God, another long flight." Then I looked up at Rain when she rose her body off the ground, "But totally worth it."

Rain nodded in agreement, "Flying's always worth it."

Jessie giggled and bounded her way to us with Wayne, "You're not kidding that flying's worth it! I still feel like, I want wings on my darn back!"

Sierra chuckled at that, "Too bad humans are missing out."

Jessie exclaimed with a groan, "I know! We are missing out!"

Frankie laughed, "Oh don't worry. I still give my majesty her rides."

She beamed at her knight, "And thank you very much, noble steed."

He bowed down to his chest with his wings splayed, "You're welcome....PRINCESS."

That's when she narrowed her eyes at him, "FRANKIE, I order you to call me QUEEN Jessie."

He laughed his head off and stood up straight, "Sure, QUEEN Jessie."

Jessie held up her chin and closed her eyes in a smug way. She spoke in a regal voice, "That's much better!" Then she laughed hard at herself and we all did as well.

Sierra giggled and said, "Gee, maybe Wayne here should treat me as his queen. So that way, he won't call me old lady again."

Wayne remarked with his finger raised, "Queens can be old too, old lady." She looked down and hissed at him.

Jessie crossed her arms and put on a glare at him, "Are you calling ME old? I suggest you take that back."

Wayne and I laughed and he said with a shake of his head, "Oh no. I wouldn't call you old. I'm just calling my blue dragoness old." Sierra didn't take that lightly and she gave his butt a hard smack and he cried out, "Ow!" Wayne was rubbing his butt and he shot a glare at her.

Sierra shot up her head with a big grin, "You deserved it." Then she sat down on her butt and declared with a high voice with her paw to her chest, "And you should always treat me as QUEEN Sierra to you!"

He rolled his eyes and she giggled at that. I walked a bit past him and said when I took my gaze to my town, "Well, back home again. And I hope that mom's home right now."

Jessie stood beside me and added, "Yeah, you didn't meet her the other night. I hope you do today."

Sierra said this when she saw my town, "So this is Leon." She shrugged her shoulders, "Not a bad place."

Frankie snorted, "It doesn't look THAT special, but a bit ok."

I looked over my shoulder at the black drake, "It better be ok. I used to live in that town!"

Rain came up behind me and asked, "So I'm just getting it straight. You're not waiting for night to come again? You're just going there during the day?"

I looked at her and nodded, "Sounds about it. I'm just gonna go into town and find my house during the day. I'm sure since mom read the letter, she'd tell the cops to stop searching for me. I'm sure, I'm good now."

Frankie said to me, when he stood beside Rain, "And I'm also getting it straight, that you're gonna bring your mother here to meet us." He was shaking his head, "I don't like the look of this one."

I frowned at him, "Why? I want my mom to meet you guys, and maybe get to meet Sebastian in one day, if she wants to go back home with us."

He answered, "I'm just thinking that maybe, your mother might hurt us."

I rolled my eyes, "Pfft, give me a break. My mother's not that violent. Heck, if she was afraid, she would rather run than hurt you."

Frankie replied, "That was another thing I was going to say."

I waved his worry off, "Don't worry, Frankie. I'm her son and she'll listen to me. I'll convince her to keep her cool and not be afraid of you guys." I waved toward Rain, "Even Rain here. I'm sure she'll give you all a chance. Once I tell her about each and every one of you, she'll take things slow and easy. She may even be amazed at all of you."

Frankie gave me a big grin, "Well dragons are magnificent, so why wouldn't she be amazed?"

I nodded, "Right. So, I'm going to go into town, find mom, bring her here and let her meet you. It's time she knows what really happened to me and find out the truth." I pointed at Jessie and all of them, "And you guys just stay here, until I get back. And if you guys see trouble, run away."

Frankie growled, "By trouble, you mean Marcus." I nodded at him and he got more closer to Jessie in a protective matter, "If that bastard does anything to her. I'll kill him myself."

Rain lowered her head to my level and said this, "Don't be gone long."

I grinned and planted a kiss to her snout, "I won't." I began to back away from her and my friends and waved, "Be back later!" I whirled around and started to jog, to jog to the edge of the woods that leads to the highway.

Memories of the night when me and Wayne snuck into town came to my mind. The day is pretty different, than the night. Everyone seems to be out and about, going on in their lives. I ran across the highway after seeing no cars coming, I ran up to the gas station and slowed down to just walking in fast strides. My mother right on my mind as I'm on the sidewalk on my way back to my house.

Well mom, your son's coming home again. I hope you're home this time. I want to show you my friends. I put on a confident smile. I'll see her again. This time, I will.

When I came around the corner and saw my house ahead. I let out a sharp gasp at what happened to my house.

It's been burned down. And surrounding it, are several police cars, a firetruck and an ambulance. The whole house became a black charred ruin.

I was shaking my head at this, with my eyes wide. No...This can't be happening. My heart was pounding at the sight of this, dread coming forth in my body. Mom...

My vision, it was coming true after all. But apparently it didn't burn down not long ago. I'm getting a feeling, it happened last night. What happened to it? Why was it burned down? Did my mom really die? No, it can't be....

Mom!

Then all of a sudden, my head began to hurt and I cried out in pain. I held a hand to the side of my head and shut my eye tight. It's hurting again! I groaned real loud and the pain subsided. When I opened my eyes, I saw that I'm not in Leon, but from what it looks like...I'm in front of a small old factory, that's about ten miles away from Leon. It's in the woods, and no one has been there for years. It has been closed down. By the way the sky looks, it's nighttime. I looked around and felt like I was supposed to be in the woods, a far bit from the factory. So with my gut, I walked in very slow strides, wondering why am I here. I'm having a feeling, this is another vision.

About a minute away, after walking past several bushes and trees, I can see someone up ahead. There were two figures. I squinted to see better and saw one of them wearing a purple robe and the other one appeared to be a woman judging by the long hair. They both turned around and it turns out, it's Marcus grasping mom tightly with one hand and in the other hand was holding onto the staff. Mom had a fearful look in her eyes and she screamed at me when they both saw me.

I let out a gasp, "Mom! No!" Then my head started hurting again and I held my head with my hands, as my headache came back in full force. I was shutting my eyes tight and when I opened them a few seconds later, I was in Leon again, right where I'm at. Not nighttime, it's still during the day. I was staring at my burned down house. I was breathing deeply, as realization hit me so hard, my eyes shot wide open. No...He did this.

Marcus has mom. He kidnapped mom!

No....No....I didn't think he'd do it. But he did. And I think, I know why. He wants Sierra.

No...This is my fault. This is all my fault.

I got to get back to Rain and the others now. I have to tell them what's going on!

And with that, I bolted away from my spot, not stopping for anything and waste my time.

*****

Wayne shook his head in disbelief and asked, "Hold on, what are you talking about? How do you even know that?"

I answered, "I mean what I said, Wayne. I didn't tell you guys this before. But I can see visions. That was why Marcus wanted me alive in the first place, it's because I can see the future at times. The screwed up part about it, is that I saw my dad die in my dream three years ago. I didn't want to believe that he would die, but days later, it happened for real. I didn't think that mom's house would burn down for real, and it has. And I saw that vision about mom and Marcus, and it's going to come true. They'll both be at the woods near the old factory."

Sierra shook her head in a bit of guilt hearing that, "....No."

About a few hours after the trip to Leon, and after what I've found out and ran back to my friends in the woods, me, Rain, Jessie, Sierra, Wayne and Frankie all went back to the dragon city. As of now here I am at the big fountain in the city, telling Rain, Frankie, Wayne, Cody, Neal, Amanda, Jessie, and Eleanor everything. Sebastian and Sierra knew what I was talking about, but for everyone else, they were surprised at what I have.

Sebastian let out a low growl, "Did he hurt her? Did he hurt Diana?"

I shook my head at the old drake, "From what it looks like, no. She appears to be fine."

Rain replied with a bit of a narrowed look, "Brandon you never told us this, and you're telling us about your power now? Why didn't you say anything?"

I let out a sigh and hung my head, "Look, I'm sorry guys. I really am. But it was just because, I didn't want you to think I'm a weirdo and I thought it wasn't really important, usually the things that I see don't come true at all. Look, that was why Sierra didn't kill me, two nights ago. Because she was ordered by Marcus to take me to him, he wanted me because of what I have."

Frankie shot up his head, "Are you serious? You didn't think telling us that you seeing 'visions of the future' wasn't important?"

I rose my gaze and shook my head at him, "Give me a break. I didn't want you to think I'm a weirdo."

He nodded slowly with a brow raised, "I'll admit it, this thing you're telling us does sound weird. But you're not a weirdo."

Cody shook his head in pity for us, "We're sorry about this, Brandon. We're sorry for what happened to your mother."

I put on a determined look and clenched my fist tight, "I'm not going to let him get away with this."

Amanda walked until she was right in front of me, "Brandon, what are you saying?"

Neal asked with a worried look, "You're not thinking about doing what I think you're going to do, are you?"

I confirmed his answer by nodding at him, "I'm going to get my mom back. I have to go to that factory and save mom, tonight."

Sebastian let out a gasp, "Brandon...Are you sure? You said that Marcus is dangerous."

Jessie had a worried look on her face, "Yeah, are you crazy? You'll die."

I waved them off, "I don't care. My mother needs me!"

Rain lowered her head to my level, pushing Amanda out of the way, "Brandon no. I can't let you do this. This is crazy!" She waved a paw, "If you go there, he'll kill you and your mother." Sebastian eyes went wide and he held a sad look on his face, curling his tail around him.

I looked right at him past Rain and reassured him, "Don't worry, dad. I'll get mom back."

He took a deep breath and nodded slowly, "....Thank you, kiddo."

Rain looked really worried now and she made me look at her, when she used her paw to pat my arm, "Brandon, don't! It's too dangerous!"

I argued, "Rain, my mom's in trouble!"

She shook her head with a fierce gaze, "Brandon, I've lost Tommy! And I've almost lost you! I can't bear it again! Don't you understand it? There are other people here that are important and I'm one of them! I love you!" She started to have a few tears welled up in her eyes, and she bumped her snout softly against my chest, "Please...Don't go."

I sighed and put both hands to her face, looking directly at her eyes, "I have to go, big girl. I know you don't want to lose me, but I don't want to lose mom. I don't want her to go out like this."

She asked, "But....You said that usually your visions are wrong, so what if you're wrong about it? What if your mother's not alive right now?"

I answered, "I don't think he wants to kill her. I think he just wants her as leverage." I looked at Sierra standing beside Wayne, "To get her back."

Sierra nodded in agreement, "That sounds about right. Marcus kidnapped Diana, so he'll get me back. He wants to trade her life, for mine."

Eleanor asked with a suspicious look, "You obviously don't trust that monster, do you? He has made humanity forget about dragons, and do you expect to trust him to let go of Diana?"

Sierra looked over her shoulder at her, "No. We can't even trust him one bit." Then she took a deep breath and let it out, "But we can't let this happen to an innocent human. We have to save Diana."

Wayne had a bit of a worried look for his love and he said this, since he knows what she's getting at, "Sierra....No...."

Neal cocked his head at her with his eyes wide, "What are you saying?"

She answered with a bit of hesitancy, with a bit of a humiliated look, "I...I have to surrender to him."

Amanda let out a gasp, "Mom no!" Then she ran to her chest and hugged her tight, "Mom, please don't leave us! Don't leave ME! You said you wouldn't go anywhere!!" She buried her face into her chest scales and begged, "Don't go, mom! Don't go!" Sierra held a pity look down for Amanda and she was rubbing her back soothingly.

Rain rose her head and whirled around on me to warn Sierra, "Sierra, if you go back to him, we may never see you again. He'll probably have a new hideout so we wouldn't find you guys."

I shrugged with both arms, "Until by some miracle, that I see where you guys are hiding, but who knows how long it'll come to me. I'm having a feeling, maybe it won't."

Sierra said while she's still being held by Amanda who is sobbing loudly, "Look guys, he wants me. He can't start his spell to other control dragons without me. My life is binded to his spell and he wants me for it. He said that it's close to being completed."

Cody hissed when he thrashed his tail behind him, "That's exactly what he wants! I don't want to be a monster, that's not fair!"

Neal waved a dismissive paw, "I don't want to be one either."

Frankie snorted, "This is total bullshit! Turning us into monsters for his war? Pathetic!"

That's when I offered when I placed my hand to my chest, "Then the only way to avoid this, is if I surrender to him, alone. He does want me because of my gift, so I'll trade my life for mom's. I don't want everyone to lose you again, Sierra."

Rain turned her head to look down at me, with a few tears falling down her face, "Brandon, what if he doesn't want you anymore?"

Jessie walked up and planted both hands to my shoulder, making me look at her, "Brandon, listen to yourself! You can't go there alone!"

I protested, "But he's going to kill her!"

Rain shouted, "And he'll kill you too!"

I looked over Jessie's shoulder, right at Rain, "That's a risk, I'm willing to take."

They all had their eyes locked on me, and Rain was turning real slowly to me, there were several tears falling down her face now, her voice sounds like it was tightening, "B-...Brandon..." She shut her eyes and the tears fell down to the hard stone ground.

I sighed, brushed Jessie off of me and strode up to my girlfriend, putting my hand to her side, "I know, big girl. I don't want to do this to you and to me. But I've got to try. You would've done the same for me." Rain opened her eyes and locked onto me. I went on, "I've lost my dad, girl. I don't ever want to lose mom. I've left mom to Gerry, and I've felt terrible about it. I won't leave her to Marcus. He's more evil than Gerry. If I don't do something, I'm gonna go crazy. If I don't do something about this, I won't forgive myself."

Rain stared at me for a few moments, as her tears began to slow down a bit She finally said it with a sniff, "You're right, I would've done the same thing for you. I'd trade my life for yours, to save you. And me and my brother, lost both our mother and father, you deserve to have your mother alive and well. Me and Frankie experienced it, I don't want you to lose BOTH parents, like we did."

Frankie nodded with a sigh, "I agree with my sister here. Your mother's, the only family you have left. And...There has to be a way to save her."

I turned away from Rain and onto Frankie, "And that's why, I have to do this. If I have to surrender my life to him, I'll do it. And if there's a way out for me from him, I'll use that way out and come back to you guys."

Rain asked in a whisper, "And what if there's no way out? What if you're gone forever?"

I took a deep breath and replied when I let it out, "Well....Then it was nice knowing you guys." I turned straight at Rain, walked up to where her chest's at, and she lowered her head to my level. I took her head with my hands and kissed her nose, "I really did enjoy being with you, and I can never forget it. Never forget you."

Sierra watched us and shook her head, "I can't let this happen to you two. He wants me, then I'll go to him." She softly brushed away Amanda, her tears are fresh in her eyes and she sobbed. Neal lowered his snout to her back and nuzzled comfortingly on her.

Wayne softly planted his hand on Sierra, with some tears of his own, "I just got you back, Sierra."

Sierra looked down at him, "I know, and I'm sorry if this is happening to you again. But...At least, I'll say goodbye this time."

Cody shook his head and made a step towards us, "Look guys we can't let this happen, we need to think of a plan. A plan to take him down. So neither of you guys, will be gone."

Neal rose his head and eyed the green drake curiously, "How?"

Cody shot up his head, "I don't know! But we need to think of something!"

Sebastian shook his head solemnly, "We have to think of something. You and Sierra can't just surrender, we all need a plan."

Rain had a hopeful look on her face, "They're right, Brandon. Maybe there's a way to stop this." She waved a paw, "I know that he can do magic, so it won't be easy. Not to mention that he's not stupid. But we have to find a way to stop this madness."

Sierra sighed, "Well if anyone has a plan in mind, now's the time to share it. Because, I don't see any other options. The life of Brandon's mother is on the line."

I nodded slowly, when I backed away from Rain's face a bit, "Then we'll come up with one. We'll have to think of something. I don't want to surrender, and neither does Sierra. There has to be a way to stop him. We have to come up with some kind of trick to pull off. If he can pull off tricks, then we can too." I put on a glare and added with heat in my words, "If he wants war, then we'll give him one."
