Into the Horizon: Preparing for Battle

Waking up after our bedroom romp was an interesting experience. We fell asleep in a pile. I woke up with both Scott and Dasher on top of me. Granted I had no objection to being used as a pillow by a sex hungry Cheetah and Scott. I shook Scott awake being sure not to wake Dasher. I had a plan for his wake up. Once Scott came to himself I told him the plan. I would tease him with my finger and he would suck him awake. As I began my efforts, Dasher's meat slid out of his sheath and began to stand at attention. Scott got up and walked around the bed to Dasher's side. I watched Scott get hard as he neared, I couldn't help but to laugh to myself. As Scott wrapped his mouth around Dasher's now hardened member, I stepped up my teasing efforts. We were greeted with a moan of approval from the still slumbering Cheetah. I couldn't help but to admire his body, but it didn't last. As Scott continued his efforts Dasher came in his mouth, which surprised both Scott and myself, then the once again pleasured Cheetah awoke from his slumber.

"A hell of a way to wake up, don't you think," said Dasher.

"Yeah I would agree, but we need to talk."

Dasher's facial expression changed into a somewhat worried look.

"Look," began Dasher, but was interrupted by me.

"No, it's my turn to talk. I have no objection to sex, especially with you, but next time, just ask."

Dasher looked completely shocked. He had been prepared to defend himself and beg for forgiveness, but it wasn't necessary. Although Scott still seemed moderately pissed about the situation, but I knew he would get over it. I could tell that Dasher could also see that Scott wasn't completely satisfied with the situation, but I had confidence they would work it out.

With that out of the way we all showered together, I figured after a night of sex we might as well clean each other and perhaps have a little fun in the process, and got ourselves dressed for the day. I had a long day of meetings ahead of me as we needed a battle plan for the upcoming battle, Scott needed to get to work overseeing the refitting of our ships with some of the tech we had found, and Dasher had a long day of monitoring crew moral. I had made him the moral officer. He seemed very much in tune with what people were feeling. Under these uncertain times, I needed moral to be as high as I could get it. Having Dash monitor it would help me out a lot. Ron, who had missed the fun, had been aboard the fox ship working on the power grid. They were having an instability problem that needed to be fixed. I made a note to make it up to him later.

I was on my way to the command center; I was supposed to receive a transmission from the Admiral giving the details of exactly what was going on. When I got to my office, I had the transmission waiting on me. As I sat down and got my computer up and running, I activated the file and sat back as the screen flickered to life, and an image of Admiral Williams filled it almost completely.

" Bane, first let me commend you on your promotion to leader of the rebellion. You have inspired a great number within the empire myself included. However, I wish this transmission was under better circumstances. As I sit here the fleet is prepared to invade a section of human space that is only moderately populated. The only reason we are interested in it is because it can be used as a staging point to invade other area's within the Human's domain. If they are able to establish a foothold here then the war will be decided. I cannot tell you what to do, but I strongly encourage you to stop this. There is nothing I can do to help you without revealing myself. In fact I'm taking a huge risk simply by sending this. Please, just stop this. You are the last hope we have of ending this war. If you don't stop it, then I fear we will destroy ourselves."

With that, the screen went blank. The Admiral looked tired. He looked like the twelve years of this war had really taken it out of him. Captain CJ had told me a little bit about his history. The Admiral had been responsible for the use of the Sub Space bomb that had destroyed an entire solar system belonging to the wolves. Since then he had lost a great deal of support among the empire. However, he was still not to be taken lightly. He was a proud wolf, and still had enough power to accomplish his goals. He had the complete support of a number of Star Ships who were loyal to him alone. I had hoped that I would have those ships at my disposal at some point, but that didn't seem likely right now. Although people had come to our cause, ships had not. The battle ahead would be dangerous. We only had three ships, and as much as Scott tried, they were not in the best of shape. The Siberia didn't have many battles left in her. The Justice and Titan were in decent shape, but many of their systems had been rigged into working. Parts had become scarce and we had not been able to get any replicators up and running as some of the key parts for them had yet to be invented in this timeframe.

Bane sat in his office after he watched the transmission. Attached to the file had been battle data including ship schematics, battle plans, and route info. All of which needed to be examined if a proper plan was to be formed. He was worried, yet excited at the same time. They had an extraordinary opportunity to assert their power in this universe. Yet at the same time, the Siberia was on her final leg. It had been pieced and parted back together until it almost no longer resembled the brand new battle ship they had encountered whenever they arrived in this war. That almost seemed a lifetime ago though. Everybody was looking at him for the answers, but he no longer had any. He was the leader, he was supposed to be strong, yet at this moment he was afraid. He wasn't sure he trusted Admiral Williams, yet he had no choice. The Admiral had plenty of opportunity to betray them, yet he had kept their location a secret. However, the time for concern had passed. Scott was almost finished with the upgrades to their ships and it would soon be time to depart. They would simply have to take a leap of faith. They couldn't hide forever. Either they could bring the fight to the enemy, or they would bring the fight to them.

The next day was filled with meeting after meeting. He had met with each of the Capitan's to assess the readiness of the small fleet for battle. He had also held a joint meeting to discuss the battle plan. They would arrive at the site a day early in an effort to gain support from any defenders currently located in the sector. Although they were a match for any wolf ship that was thrown at them but an entire fleet was another story. If no support was available, or given, they would simply do their best to halt the invasion. Although without support from outside sources it would be almost impossible for three ships to stop the twelve that they had been informed were going. Yes, a battle would be difficult. However, even though Bane was afraid, he was also confidant. He had complete confidence in his crew, in his Capitan's, and in Ron and Scott. They would see this through, and they would emerge victorious, he hoped.

Ron was walking though the base. He had wanted to see and chat with his friends. He had spoken with Bane by video chat while he was aboard the fox ship. Bane was looking bad; in fact, he was looking very worried. As he was walking, he met up with Scott and began discussing their situation. Scott informed him of their romp the previous night. Although Scott had his reservations of telling Ron the details, he would rather his friend be told by him than another random member of the crew. Ron took it well, although he could see Ron's ears lay back a bit. He would never admit it but he felt slightly betrayed and left out. Scott made a note to himself to make it up to the poor fox. He had been through a lot and needed a little fun. They found Bane in his office. He looked slightly worried, but that went away as his friends walked in. The most annoying habit he had was hiding how he was feeling. Scott had learned to see through it, and Ron could usually tell with he was being fed crap. They talked with their friend; they knew he would need support. He had never before been in this situation. They would see him though this. He may have been the leader, but every good leader needs support.
