#17 of The Model

This is a gay themed story that has been sitting on my computer for a while, so I decided to develop it into a new short series. After being hired to help with photoshoots for an underwear company, I developed an obsession with one of their models, a handsome Doberman by the name of Kurt Hauser. I never thought I'd stand a chance with someone like that. Until now...

Chapter Eighteen to follow soon...

I woke up and rolled over as the morning sun streamed through the window.

Kurt wasn't beside me and I assumed he was in the kitchen making breakfast, but I couldn't hear the sound of him moving around or smell the scent of anything cooking. I stretched and got up. I found Kurt in the kitchen although the Doberman wasn't cooking anything. He was standing naked with his laptop on the breakfast bar, scrolling intently through something and I gazed over his shoulder.

Is he looking at what I think he's looking at?

Kurt was browsing a jewellery website and looking at rings. He sensed I was behind him and hurriedly closed the tab. "Good morning bud," Kurt smiled. "I didn't realise you were awake." "I was wondering whether you'd gone," I replied. Kurt stood up, wrapped his strong arms around me and nuzzled between my ears. I usually felt reassured by Kurt's strong hold, but at that moment I felt unsure of what to think.

He can't be asking me to marry him already?

Kurt broke off and opened the fridge. "Hmm, what I can I make?" He mused out loud, before reaching in and pulling out a bag of apples. "How about some cereal and fruit salad?" "Sounds good," I replied, taking a seat at the breakfast bar.

Should I just ask him if he wants to propose?

"We could go and collect the rest of your stuff today and move it in here?" Kurt suggested. "You might wanna speak to your landlord soon, just to let him know you'll be terminating your contract." "Okay," I replied, keeping the smile on my muzzle. "Is something wrong bud?" Kurt asked, his expression was now one of concern. "I'm good," I replied, forcing a wag from my tail. "I was thinking of all the things I have to move." "If you're sure?" Kurt replied. "I guess moving here is still a big thing." The Doberman pulled me into a hug and I wrested my head against his chest, feeling his abs with my paw. "It is," I admitted. "Although I'd rather be here with you than back with my old roommate, or in LA working for Justin again." But the idea of Kurt wanting to propose to me seemed daunting, scary even.

I mean, I love him and he means the world to me but it seems too soon. Then again it could be an entirely innocent mistake I made.

Aside from his military dog tags, Kurt did sometimes wear a silver chain and his neck and wrist, and owned a few rings even if he didn't wear them regularly. I considered all of these thoughts as Kurt began chopping fruit for us. The Doberman's phone buzzed and he quickly rinsed his paws before examining it. "It's Doug, asking if we want to go to the beach later with Rex," Kurt explained. "Even though we were at the beach yesterday I'm up for seeing them if you are?" "Yeah," I replied as my tail wagged. Even if I was still nervous about some things, having a nice (and hot) group of friends to hang out with was always something that made me feel grateful inside. Kurt was texting Doug back. "We'll see him later this afternoon," the Doberman explained with a smile as he resumed making breakfast.

We sat at the breakfast bar and ate while watching the morning sun shining down on the marina below. My phone began buzzing and I looked down to see my father's number displayed on the screen. "I wonder what he wants," I thought aloud as I swiped to accept the call. "Hello." "Hello Alec," my father replied in a flat tone. "How are you and uh, Kurt doing?" He asked how Kurt was, surely a good sign? "He's doing great, we're heading out to the beach later to see some friends," I replied, before stopping myself from saying more. "I see, well, I hope that is pleasant. There's also something we need to discuss further," my father continued. He paused and I could hear him breathing down the line as he struggled to find the right words. "I thought I'd let you know since I'm debating it with your mother at the moment, but I'll call again to discuss the outcome." "Okay, what is..." I began. "I'll talk to you later," my father cut in, his usual flat tone suddenly grew louder. "Bye for now Alec." "Was that your father?" Kurt asked as I set my phone down. "Yes, I'm not sure what that was about," I shrugged. "He asked about you, but then said there was something we needed to discuss and then he vanished." "Hmm, weird," Kurt replied as he ate a piece of apple. "But if he's asking you about me that's a good sign, right?" "It is," I replied as my tail wagged.

But what if he then finds out Kurt asked me to marry him?

We finished eating and Kurt cleared the dishes away. The Doberman's phone buzzed again and he glanced at the screen. "It's from my mother," he explained. "She has a habit of sending messages that are more like essays." I watched as he scrolled through the message. "Oh cool, that was Tobias and he wants to go and look at San Amador Coast, they're having an open day today," Kurt said. "Although that means having to put up with my dopey brother living nearby." "Awesome," I replied. "I can tell him all about the campus." "My mother was going to take him today, but she's going with my Dad to my Grandma's today to help with something. I hope you don't mind putting up with him while we look around the campus. My mother said she'd appreciate it if you showed him around since you know the campus well and can help him, she said she'll make you another Battenberg cake in return." "Heh, that's a fair deal," I reasoned. "What time is he coming over?" "My mother says she's dropped him off already," Kurt replied, before glancing down at his naked body. "We'd better put some clothes on." The Doberman took me by the paw and led me to the bedroom. I cast a regretful glance at Kurt's fine ass before it disappeared under his briefs. Kurt grinned and gyrated his briefs clad ass in my direction. They were another white Wolf & Coyote pair, and I could see the black outline of his tail hole through the silky material. "Later," he said in a teasing voice, before pulling on a pair of shorts, grey wifebeater and a short sleeve button up shirt over the top. I pulled on a t-shirt and shorts before following Kurt to the door.

We drove in the Lotus over to the San Amador Coast campus. It felt strange to be going back and I thought about the time I had spent there; my episodes trying to avoid having sex with poor Olga and then my first gay kiss with an Alsatian in a bar. I had never gotten his name. I shook myself from my thoughts and looked up as I saw the campus approaching. San Amador Coast University was small compared to most colleges but had a pretty campus that overlooked the sea. The main building was a grand Victorian structure while more modern lecture rooms were built around the back. A banner advertising the open day hung outside the main building and I could see a group of excited high school age boys and girls outside, most were walking around with their parents as students were showing them around the campus. Kurt parked in a visitor space and we walked towards the main building to see Tobias sitting on the steps. He was dressed in a smart shirt and jeans; no doubt his mother had encouraged him to dress that way. Tobias' behind did its usual wiggle as we walked up. "Hey losers, what time do you call this?" He said with a smile, jumping up to hug both of us. "Charming," I chuckled. "So what do you think of the campus so far?" "I like it," the younger Doberman beamed. "The students and the staff all seem nice, and the location is awesome." "Well, I can give you an insider's view," I replied. "Aw no, is this where you ruin it for me?" Tobias asked nervously, splaying his cropped ears. "Not at all, I really enjoyed it here," I explained. "Did you ask about playing basketball?" "I did," Tobias grinned. "I managed to speak to the guy who is captain of the team." The three of us began walking around as I pointed the various buildings out.

I felt glad as I noticed the Tobias doing his wiggle as I spoke. Even if some Dobermans didn't have tails, I found their way of expressing happiness endearing. "That's the best building to have classes in," I explained, gesturing to one of the modern blocks. "It's not as charming as the old building but it's much cooler in summer. Oh and that's the student union, they do great ice creams in there, especially on a warmer day like this." "Is that a subtle hint that you want one?" Kurt laughed. "Maybe," I grinned. "Coyotes, always mischievous," Kurt sighed. "Heh, you can talk," I replied. "Oh no, is this where you guys talk about sex," Tobias teased. "No, but now you mention it I can think of an example when..." I began, before Tobias clamped his paws over his cropped ears.

I led the two Dobermans over to the student union building which was conveniently close to the lecture rooms. It was busy inside but we found a table in the cafeteria. "You guys might wanna hold this table while I get us the ice cream, what flavours would you like?" Kurt asked. I went for chocolate while Tobias chose honeycomb. "I'll get them next time," I promised as Kurt went to join the line. "Oh awesome, they do San Amador Coast basketball jerseys," Tobias said, glancing over at the merchandise store. "So does that mean you're thinking of coming here if you want to buy a jersey?" I laughed. "Maybe," Tobias replied with a grin. "My other top choice is Bakerstown University." Tobias glanced around and the grin vanished. I could see the same look of sadness in his brown eyes that Kurt sometimes showed. "You okay, do you not like it here?" I asked. "No, I do. I think it's really cool," Tobias replied, before glancing nervously around. "You know we were talking at my parents' house about having brothers to confide stuff in, well I kinda wanna tell you something." I noticed the younger Doberman's paw was shaking slightly. "Go on," I encouraged, giving him a reassuring pat on the arm. "Well, I was reflecting that I have a crush on a Vixen called Elizabeth Pace from my class at high school, and I wanted to ask her on a date, but silly Todd Ryan got there first. Anyway, I was also thinking about how much I like my best friend Mark Devereux, and I don't mean just liking him as a friend. We were playing basketball the other day and I kept thinking that Wolf looks kinda hot in his jersey, and I began thinking the same about Roland Wager, he's an Elkhound who also plays ball with us," Tobias said, the Doberman looked desperate as the words spilled from his muzzle. "But I can't ask them out since they're both straight, I'm not sure if I like guys or girls better and I don't know if my parents would also like having another son who likes men, even though mine and Kurt's older brother is straight and has a girlfriend in the navy." I slowly digested Tobias' words as the Doberman glanced at the floor with a pained expression. "It's okay, you can like both and if your parents are okay with Kurt, then they should be okay with you," I tried to reason. "I hope so," Tobias replied. "I'm sorry dude, I wish I hadn't said all that. I've had no one else to tell it to, well I've been meaning to tell Kurt." "Tobias please don't worry, I think you'll find a nice guy or girl with no problems and your parents won't care," I said, fixing him a reassuring smile. "But you should tell Kurt though, even if you think he's a chump." "I will, don't tell Kurt I said this because he is a chump," Tobias replied, managing to laugh. "But he's lucky to have someone like you." I was about to reply when Kurt reappeared with our ice creams.

We ate them in silence for a moment, before Kurt started quizzing Tobias about what he thought of the campus. "I really like it, but having to live close to you kinda sucks," Tobias chuckled, and I was glad to see he was back at ease. "You little squirt," Kurt replied, giving Tobias a pat between the ears. "Ouch, I hate that," Tobias sighed. "So you think you'll apply here?" Kurt asked. "Here, or Bakerstown, those are my two current choices," Tobias replied. I kept looking at Tobias, willing the younger Doberman to tell Kurt what he had been telling me, but he remained quiet until our ice cream was finished. "Mom said she'd collect me about now," Tobias explained, looking at his watch. We stood and walked back out to the parking lot.

Mia's car wasn't there yet so we sat on the grass near to where Kurt's Lotus was parked. "Hmm, I wonder where she is?" Kurt mused out loud, he got to his hind-paws and walked further along to look down the road leading onto the campus. "You should probably tell him now, before your mother arrives," I whispered. "I'll wait out of the way." "I don't mind you being there," Tobias replied. "It might help if I'm not being a third wheel," I explained. Tobias hesitated, and then nodded. "Okay dude, I'll tell him now," the younger Doberman replied, putting on a brave smile. He stood and walked over to Kurt while I watched out of the corner of my eye. Tobias' shoulders fell slightly as he sighed and he began talking to Kurt. I could see Kurt nodding and his expression was sympathetic. He smiled when Tobias finished before pulling his younger brother into a tight hug and nuzzling him between the ears. Tobias resisted. "Urgh, this is embarrassing," he protested, before relenting and putting his arms around Kurt to tightly hug him back and allow the taller Doberman to nuzzle him. "That's nice, I didn't realise you missed each other that much," I heard a voice say. I turned to see Mia walking towards us. I got to my hind-paws while Tobias wriggled free, but I saw he and Kurt fist bump before they made their way over. "How did it go?" Mia asked. "Great, I really like it here," Tobias explained. "I'm going to apply, even if that means having to live near Kurt." "I'm glad to hear that," Mia replied. "It's Bakerstown you were looking at next?" "Yup," Tobias replied. "I might list a few others." "There's also Bay State, where my cousin Chadwick is at. It's worth looking around" I added. "That's a good idea Alec," Mia replied. "Oh and thank you for giving him a guided tour." "Yes, thanks dude," Tobias added, giving me a smile. "It would be awesome to have you close by if I went here, not so much him." He added to Kurt. "It'd be great, I can come round and do this," Kurt replied, patting Tobias on the head. "Ouch!" "You two, honestly," Mia sighed, fixing me a withering look. I resisted the urge to laugh.

We walked back to our cars and Tobias followed Mia to hers. "See you chumps later!" He called. "Tobias!" Mia sighed, before waving to us. "Have a safe drive back you two, do stop by for lunch next week. I'll make another cake." "I'm sure I can manage that," I replied with a smile. Kurt unlocked the Lotus and we climbed inside. I felt happy I had helped Tobias seemingly come to terms with his attraction to guys and I realised again how much I enjoyed hanging out with Kurt and his family.

They could be your family too.

Then again, having Kurt propose to me was still a daunting prospect, if that's what he intended to do. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and I fished it out to see a message from my father.

Alec,

Your mother & I have been discussing this and have decided we can no longer involve you in our will anymore since we have decided to donate all our belongings to the community.

Your father.

"The community my ass!" I huffed out loud. "I'm sorry?" Kurt said, shooting me a quizzical expression. I didn't reply but handed my phone over to him. Kurt read the message and he sighed. "Oh Alec, how could they?" He said, reaching over to cup my face with his paw. "Since when did they ever give anything to the community?" I huffed to myself. "I think they are making that part up and are giving everything to someone else and writing me off." "I'm confused, it's not like they were exactly pleased with you being gay and your mother didn't say much to me, but they were semi-tolerant of us at their house." "I suspect it's my mother being difficult. I wish my Dad would man up and confront her over it, he seemed more tolerant about us lately but let's my mother dictate his opinion. It's not like they had much money or possessions anyway, but the action itself stings." Kurt sighed and kissed me on the muzzle. "I wish there was something I could do," he lamented. I forced a smile and kissed him back. "Perhaps a trip to the beach with Doug and Rex might help," I mused. "Yes, perhaps it will," Kurt replied, squeezing my paw before he turned the ignition.

We drove down the road leading away from the campus and back towards San Amador. "We can pick up our swimsuits and our running things?" Kurt suggested. "Let's," I replied. "A good workout will help me." "And Kurt's tongue working out your hole," Kurt laughed. "Sorry that was a tactless thing to say right now." "It's okay," I smiled. "Just be you, that'll lighten my mood, and yeah that Shep does good rimjobs." "He does," Kurt grinned as we drove in the direction of the apartment. "Doug is one lucky Dingo." "Rex should model, or if not at least have his tongue on standby to get us hard," I said with a laugh. I felt low inside, but I wanted to keep laughing.

Hang on in there, let your friends surround you and lift your mood.
