Okay, I know the quality of the last story was pretty bad, so I decided to revise the last half. That's why I took so long. But the good news is I got to finish the Valentine's edition while doing the full revision. Please try and hold on later this week, okay?

Sorry for postiong this so late.

NEW YEAR'S END

"He what!?" Lionel yelled angrily as Kelly told him what Louis did.

"Like I said, he jumped out the window and ran towards the park," Kelly repeated her statement.

Lionel sighed and rubbed his head. "That idiot! He's gonna be in so much trouble after we go home." Lionel took his overcoat and started to dash outside. "You guys watch Alex, okay!" he called them.

Matt and Kelly stood on the doorway and stared at Lionel who was running his way towards the park.

"Boy, he's really worried," Matt spoke out.

"Well, his cousin might be in danger, so he must've been worried," Kelly responds. "There's no use of worrying about them. Come on, let's watch the kids." Kelly tugged her boyfriend's arm and pulled him inside.

Louis walked down the pathway and ends up in the center of the park. He drew his sword and took a few steps forward.

"Come on out!" He called out. "I know you're in here!"

"Very well done, mortal..."

A shadowy figure emerged from the ground in front of Louis. It began to take shape into a hooded figure carrying a scythe.

"You've successfully located my presence, twice to be precice," the figure grinned. "You also prevented my attempt on murdering the twins 3 years ago. Nobody has ever succeeded on doing it before. To whom am I speaking to currently?"

"The kid you left alive 8 years ago," Louis growled. His eyes burn in hatred as he faces his parents' murderer. He took a stance and readied himself for battle.

"Ah! The young man that I wasn't able to kill. Your luck is truly marvelous, boy. Why do you seek death so much?"

"I'm not seeking death. I'm here to end this long war once and for all." Louis dashed and struck the reaper with a mighty blow, sending it away a few feet back.

"Hmm..." the reaper said. "It seems that you're serious on killing me. Very well, why don't we take this elsewhere?"

A malicious aura surrounds the both of them. The floor beneath them suddenly became a pool of darkness, dragging them to an alternate dimension of death. The area is completely covered with bones, a perfect area for the necromantic reaper.

"Now then," Death chuckled, "shall we begin our final clash?" In an instant, the reaper released most of his energy, reanimating the skeletons to life. Louis prepared a battle stance as the army of skeletons began to surround him.

'I knew this isn't gonna be easy...' he thought as he began to fight back.

"What the..." Lionel stared down on the pavement. The pool of darkness began to spin like a whirlpool.

"Did he went through here?" he said to himself. "Well, only one way to find out..." He quickly jumped in the whirlpool and landed on his feet. He landed in front of what looked like a maze of darkness. The grounds levitate and branches towards separate directions. Lionel peered downward and saw what looked like a sea of bones with a silver lupine warrior fighting the sea. Not just any wolf. It's his wolf.

"Louis!!" he yelled. The wolf never looked up. The distance between them was too great. Lionel quickly ran towards the twisting maze. Skeletons suddenly emerged from the ground and attack him.

"I have no time for you!" he yelled as he drew his card. He consentrated his energy and began to transform into a lion. His blonde mane reaches a quarter of his back. He crushed the card, turning it into a spear with the same unique design as the wolf's blade. He began to strike down all the enemies in his way.

"Hang in there..." he silently muttered under his breath.

Kelly got back in the room where Louis left the house. She peered through the window hoping for his and Lionel's safety. She closed the window and head out towards the party.

"Kelly," Matt called her from the stage, "can you step up to this stage?" Kelly oblidged and joined her boyfriend to the stage.

"Kelly, we've known each other for years now. Ever since elementary school, you've always been by my side, enjoying every precious memory together. You're so kind, smart, and even the head cheerleader of the campus," Matt went on and on with the whole crowd watching them talk. "You're perfect in every aspect."

Kelly blushed as her boyfriend complimented her publically. Matt went down on his knees and took out the black box.

"Kelly Springfield," Matt opened the box, revealing the beautiful diamond ring, "will you marry me?"

Kelly gasped and was shocked of the surprise. She began to shed tear and hugged Matt. "Yes, of course!" The both of them smiled happily and was greeted with a loud applause from the party members. The couple kissed deeply as the party became more lively. They were congratulated from one person to another. The smiles on their faces were truly genuine. Nothing can spoil their happiness.

Louis continued to defend himself from the horde of skeletons. He slashed left and right, but it feels like an endless sea of them. His energy began to wear out. He panted and tried to catch his breath. Time was running out.

"What's the matter?" Death taunted him over the skeletons. "Where did that bundle of energy go?"

Louis growled slightly as he began to take a look around. The skeletons kept coming, not letting him get close to his target.

'Not good...' he thought. 'I can't even get close. And I'm running out of time.' He took a deep breath and began to chant. Slowly, white light surrounded his left paw. He thrusts forward, shooting a laser of pure light towards the reaper, incinerating the skeletons on the way. The reaper countered with a beam of darkness, eliminating both attacks. On that second, Louis flung the great sword towards the robed skeleton and dashed forward. Death merely hits the blade upwards, but Louis came prepared. He jumped high, grabbed the handle of the sword, and tried to hack the reaper in half. The robed figure blocked the attack with his scythe and deflected his attempt. Louis quickly landed on his feet and lunged forward. He saw something on the scythe that intrigued him as he began to fight back..

'That crack on the scythe...' he thought. 'Is it the same one 3 years ago? Hmm...'

His train of thoughts stopped as his stomach was hit by one of the skeleton, making him collapse on the ground. As he was about to stand, the skeletons piled up on him, trapping his body under the weight of an army of men. He struggled to get out of there as Death approaches

"Well, well," he chuckled. "Looks's like this is the end for you."

"Not quite!" Louis grunted. He quickly chanted a spell that targeted the area 5 miles from him. The circumference of the area started to glow white. In an instant, the circle shone a glyph and exploded. The purity of the light incinerated the skleletons and the reaper. As the light dispersed, smoke covered the area. Louis stood up once more, panting in exhaustion.

'Please...' he thought, 'don't get up. I barely have any energy left.'

"What was that?" the lion looked downwards. The distance between them narrows down to an 8 storied building. He looked up and saw the distance he travelled. It seems like a decent from Mt. Everest. He gazed the area and saw nothing on his path. The white light completly obliterated his foes. He peered downwards to find a safe place to jump down. He started to jump one story at a time, finnaly reaching the ground. He dashed towards the wolf's side.

"Louis! Are you okay?" he desparately asked him. Louis was stunned whan he saw his cousin satnding next to him.

"W-what are you doing here?" he panted. Their ears perked up as they heard something moving in the distance. They turned to see the reaper, now heavily damaged, stood up with the scythe on his hand.

"Such persistance..." he sighed. "To think I would be troubled by a dying mortal..."

"Dying?" Lionel looked at the wolf. The lupine folded his ears back as he felt the stares coming to him.

"You haven't told him?" Death chuckled. "This would be interesting..."

"Louis. What is he saying? Are you going to die?"

"When my age turns to 23, my life would end," Louis slowly got up. "And the only way to prevent it is to defeat him." He grabbed his sword and prepared a battle stance. His body was shaking as the wounds and energy seep out from him.

"That's why you're so desparate on finding him?"

Louis just nodded and chant another spell.

"This could be my final spell," Louis looked down. "The last spell before my 23'rd birthday. I'll bet my life on it."

"Louis..."

"Lionel, if I don't make it, I just want you to know something."

He slowly walk over to the lion and whispered in his ear.

"I love you..."

Lionel was frozen when he said that statement. Louis, on the other hand, ran forward towards Death. His sword began to glow white as he continued his chant. The reaper swung his scythe, but was easily avoided by the wolf. He kicked the reaper back and jumped. His incantation was complete, and his sword is now engulfed by the purest of light. He hacked down one last time on the reaper. Death tried to block it, but the sword landed on the deep crack Louis made on that Haloween. The scythe's pole couldn't take it anymore. The scythe completly shattered into pieces, and the skeleton was cut down in half. At the same moment, Lionel's watch beeped, an indication that the hour has changed. The time was 12:00 AM, January the first. Louis' birthday.

The wolf crashed on the pile of bones, along with his sword on his hand. Death was screaming in agony as the light began to destroy him, ending the long war againts the lupine warrior. The area slowly began to glow, and the two of them finally end up back at the center of the park. Shouts were heard everywhere, yelling a happy new year to each and every one of them. The lion slowly stepped forward to the wolf's body. His eyes slowly began to tear up as the only cousin he had lie down on the cold, winter ground.

2 weeks later...

"Lionel, how come we can't see him again?" Alex asked the college student.

"Because," he sighed, "he's really tired, and he needs his rest." Alex just nodded and continued to watch the TV in front of him. Lionel sighed as he studied his books. The tow of them sat in silence in the comfort of Lionel's room. The only way to get him out of his head was to study really hard. The day he brought back the wolf, he was in a state of niether the living nor the dead. It feels like he was entering an endless slumber. He hasn't told everyone what happened on that dreadful day. His mother sighed at the sudden attitude change on her son. She silently sat down in the kitchen, wondering what could possibly had happened. The ringing of the doorbell quickly snapped back her attention. She got up and opened the door, revealing a slender young man, wearing a familiar hood.

"Can I help you?" she smiled.

"Aunt Jill, is Lionel at home?" he smiled back under his hood. Lionel heard the man's voice. It sounded very familiar. He ran down to see a silver wolf standing on the doorway with a bandaged head. He quickly lunged forward and jumped on the wolf before giving him a time to react. They landed on the snowy ground on the front yard. Lionel embraced the wolf, holding him as tight as he could.

"Ow! Ow!" the silver wolf yelped in pain as the bigger male crushed him.

"Don't ever do that again!" Lionel yelled back at him. "You got me worried sick, sleepyhead!"

"Sorry," Louis smiled softly. He quickly grabbed a pile of snow and pummled it to the blonde figure. Lionel stepped back, surprised by his action.

"It's on now!" he grinned. The two of them began to play a snowball fight, who was joined in by Alex moments later. Jill stood on the doorway in her winter robe. She held a cup of hot cocoa on her right hand as she watched the fun.

"Boys..." she chuckled at the young people enjoying their winter time.
