An Eventful Trip
#7 of Sunbaked
Early the next morning Sirblood was the first to wake and decided that today he would treat the two essence mates to a brief honeymoon trip to one of the metroplaitian human cities.
Gave awoke along side Crystal at the same time, "Elder Sirblood aren't you usually the last to wake?" Crystal was the first to point out the mind link having somewhat dimisihed from the day before.
"Well, yes... usually." Sirblood hesitated before going on, "But today is a special day for the two of you!" Sirblood seemed to glow truphant in a different human form, this one having red hair and firey ruby eyes. "I have decided in all of my wisdom to grant us ALL access to the human world."
Derhith who had awakend shortly after Sirblood ears perked up at this. "All of us are you sure that is wise?" Derhith having know from stories what could happen if the humans found out about odd "monsters".
"Well that would be why we are going incogneto." Sirblood stated matter-of-fact.
"Are we really going to visit the human world?" Crystal was as giddy as a school girl.
"You sure we are going to be safe?" Gave worried as he had heard all to well what Derhith had said.
"Well no.... But what is adventure without danger!" Sirblood dared to do the bold.
Gave sighed he knew Crystal was not one to pass up an opportunity for adventure like this. "Okay elder but what are WE doing for "Blending In".
"Pretty much what I did but make you belly scales you eye color and the rest of your scales your hair color." Sirblood rambled out somewhat no chalantly and infomatively as he turned to Derhith with a wicked smile.
"Oh no! I will not that is so degrading for my kind!" Derhith yelped as though he had just stepped on her tail.
Sirblood gave the puppy eyes and sagged the lower lip "You won't even be my pet for the day? I thought you loved me?"
Derhith didn't know if she should puke or slap him. She finally caved, "Fine! But this is the only time!" With that she got down on all fours and srunk into a smaller wolf form. Then if to add insult to injury Sirblood put a collar and a leash on her. Derhith glared back at him with a snarl.
"Hey not my fault the humans have leash laws." Sirblood said impassively although laughing on the inside. "But you make a sexy wolf dog!" Sirblood said aloud meaning every word of it.
Derhith still somewhat peeved calmed down and laid on her side. While the somewhat crazy looking couple had finished their transformation on the other side of the cave.
Gave and Crystal looked more like an odd set of twins than mates. True to what Sirblood had said they transformed in to scale colored hair and eyes. Gave had green hair with Sapphire eyes while Crystall had blue hair with Emerald eyes.
Sirblood took one look and had to stiffle a fit of laughter, "Well you to look like clones!" Looking further he noticed that the two where the same height and pretty much the same every thing minus the fact that one one male and the other female.
"Can we go now please!" Crystal as impatient and excited as ever.
"Fine but remember to not stand out." Sirblood declared warningly. With a wave of his hand a portal of shimmering blue appeared and clashed against the stark black walls of the cave.
The group steped through to the other side and into a desserted ally.
"Humm its too quiet." Sirblood was instantly alert as the city of this size should NEVER be quiet.
The group was silent as they headed out into the square that was linked to the ally, And to their astonishment there was hundreds of human corpses laying strewn about the place with smashed windows and broken signs. The city was late 21st century with sky scrapers and tight urban spralls and should have had deafening noise but was as silent as the tundra snow.
Then to much of everyone's suprise the dead started to move.
"Ha ha good joke Elder!" Crystal remarked slightly humorous but more than just a little nervous.
"It's not me doing any of this." Sirblood shot back more than a little scared. "I suggest we leave NOW!"
"Why what can humans do to us?" Crystal remarked more than a bit curous.
"About that, uh, not much unless like these" Sirblood made a broad motion towards the rising dead, "they are UNDEAD!"
But it was already too late as they spoke the fatal words the hoard of undead closed in around them.The sky seemed to grow darker as the ground near what they thought to be their last few moments in the this or any other world.
Then in a brillant red flash, Sirblood exploded into his roaring red dragon form. He swung right destroying twenty, he swung left destroying thirty. The others followed suite and started tearing tooth and fang into the hoards of evil that had begun to set down upon them.
Then as if nothing worse could have happened a large thundering boom and brillant flash of fangs, out came roaring a storm a T-rex. The thing was apprently undead by the way the flesh hung off the bone. Somewhere in his soul Sirblood felt pitty for the creature for it was some how not as far gone as the rest of the dead humans, so Sirblood took it upon himself to save it if it was in his power.
Sirblood signaled for the two dragons to leave the T-rex to him. In a flash of brillance Sirblood started using spells of healing on the beast as it lunged past him in mindless fury. The creature seemed to streghten and repair as it was still flying past him. The T-rex mind was slow but its memory was able to be restored and improved. After a few failed passes at Sirblood the T-rex was now docile and let Sirblood hold it in his arms.
Crystal and Gave having finished with the human undeads now looked over to see Elder Sirblood holding a T-rex lovingly in his arms. "Great we kill undeads, and he makes friends with a T-rex."
"Just goes to show you what magic can do love." Crystal replied to Gave's off handed sarcasm.
Sirblood repaired its mind to find out that the beautiful beast in front of him had come from the ice age that ended the dinosaurs. It was frozen in the ice and had been found by sciencetist only to be brought here to be studied in the huge frozen block of ice. But when whatever had caused this broke out the power failed and the T-rex was taken over by the strange aliment.
Sirblood now stared at the sentient T-rex in awe she was obviously a female stood about the same height as Sirblood was a deep marroon with a shade of brown running down the top of her form. She had fore claws at he chest and two legs with 3 talons on each foot.
"Lets please get out of here before anything nastier shows up!" Gave cried out as everyone seemed to agree.
After Sirblood snapped out of his self induced trance, he got from staring into the female T-rex's eyes he, he flung open the portal and made his way and everyone elses way back to the cave leaving the scence of carnage behind them.
Sirblood let out a sigh and drewout, "Oih so much in a week." Then with a smirk he added "But so many lovely females!"
Derhith felt a webit jealous and moved to keep her spot with her dragon love as she noticed the T-rex start to take a liking to him. "No you don't, I saw him first!"
Feeling the need to get sleep for everyone and not noticing the little squable that Derhith was starting Sirblood cast a general sleep spell and pulled both the T-rex and Derhith close as blessed darkness took them.
