Robert's Adventure 1

The story starts off with an opening narration from Robert himself.
ROBERT (Narrating)
So, you want to know huh? Well, alright then. But let me tell you this; I don't have much to offer, so just bear with me here. I think I'll start off with the life I had before. I'm not going to tell you much for the sake of telling a story. But I will tell you this; my earliest memory was seeing things that are hard to follow at an infant age. The last thing I know was being dropped off at an orphanage in a strange world. Now let's skip sixteen years later and get to the more interesting part; around that time, I was adopted by a mother and her daughter at the age of sixteen. They took me to their home and I thought things would go so well and heh...... the funny thing is was the fact that it was nothing I expected. The mother I had just didn't really give a damn, and my sister was even worse. She would get on me for the smallest of things and would even try to brutally kill me. Thankfully she was stopped all of the time by mom but I guess it doesn't really mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. Why? Well...... I'll tell you later.
Cut to the sonic universe with Dr. Eggman working with this mysterious new scientist. Sonic is captured and is surrounded by seven dark looking emeralds. Eggman speaks.
DR. EGGMAN
This is genius! Why would I even think of plans to kill my own enemy?
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
Well, he is your formable advisory after all.
DR. EGGMAN
Oh yes. Please forgive me; my memory isn't what it used to be.
SONIC (as he's struggling)
You're...... in your...... late thirties.
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
Hmm... quite a chatty rodent isn't he? Why don't we shut him up?
DR. EGGMAN
Please do! I've been waiting for this for a long time.
The Mysterious Scientist pulls the lever and sonic is infused with the dark emeralds.
DR. EGGMAN (as Sonic is screaming in pain)
Yes! Yes! It's working! Turn it up for maximum power!
The Mysterious Scientist cranks the dial to maximum power. A few minutes later, Dark Sonic is born.
DR. EGGMAN
Yes! Finally! After several failed attempts, I've finally got this world on its knees. (Laughs maniacally)
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST (interrupting)
And more...
DR. EGGMAN
What do you mean?
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
You've only uncovered half of Dark Sonics power. Give me the actual Chaos Emeralds, and we'll be controlling god.
DR. EGGMAN
Are you out of your mind? That would be impossible to control! The whole world could end!
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
*sigh* Fine.
DR. EGGMAN
See? What's the point of...
He notices Dark Sonic staring at him.
Uh... Why is Dark Sonic staring at me?
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
Well you see, I knew you were gonna disagree with my plan at any point in time. At the very least, your technology helped me.
DR. EGGMAN
Huh?
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
I also made sure to put this creation under my control. So I would just hand them over.
DR. EGGMAN
Oh no!
Out of desperation, Eggman throws a wrench at the one Emerald. This causes them to shatter simultaneously and disappear.
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST (Now pissed off)
Bad move doc!
Talking to Dark Sonic.
Go and teach that poor excuse of a living being "No Mercy". Shatter every part of his body into two pieces. Just like he did with those Emeralds. Then afterwards, possess anybody you can find.
Dark Sonic nods yes and heads for Eggman.
DR. EGGMAN
Oh Crap!
Eggman runs out of his fortress screaming and hides. Dark Sonic somehow doesn't find him and sets out for the Shattered Chaos Emeralds. Tails and Blaze are looking at his fortress from a distance, and Tails is picking up a huge anomaly on the Miles Electronic.
TAILS (Noticing Dark Sonic flying out of the base)
Is that... Sonic?
BLAZE (Immediately after he said that)
Get Down!
Tails and Blaze hide in some bushes. Dark Sonic doesn't notice and flies away. Tails and Blaze emerge from the bushes.
Well... At least he still has ADHD.
TAILS
Blaze! Look at this!
Blaze looks over Tails shoulder.
BLAZE
Tails, you know I don't understand this stuff so what's going on?
TAILS
It means that something has happened to the Chaos Emeralds!
BLAZE
What?!
TAILS
Yeah! And because of that, bad things are sure to happen.
BLAZE
Well... Can't we just get Shadow or Silver to turn Sonic back to normal? Heck, I can take him.
TAILS
No! That's far too risky! From the small bit of data I managed to scan when he flew past us, this version of Dark Sonic has the ability to possess others that live in this universe.
BLAZE
Then how are we going to stop this?
TAILS
Hmm... Well I've got an idea but it's a little...... risky.
BLAZE
What do you mean by that?
TAILS
Alright, we clearly need someone to fight against Dark Sonic and restore the Emeralds, but it can't be anyone that could be easily possessed.
BLAZE
So, what's the solution?
TAILS
Simple, find some help beyond our world.
BLAZE
Oh I see. But there's only one person that has the energy of the Chaos Emeralds in the world you're thinking of. Even then our chances could be slim.
TAILS
Well let's just hope he's a long time sonic fan.
BLAZE
Fair enough.
She takes out the Blue Sol Emerald.
You think you could teleport this to the kid's location?
TAILS
Sure. This kind of stuff is easy for me.
BLAZE
That's good to hear.
TAILS
Now I've set the time period to when he is 17 years of age. We just need to hope that he finds your Emerald quickly.
BLAZE
He'll find it.
TAILS
Okay, but before we send that Emerald away.
Blaze looks at Tails
*sigh* Do you think he'll remember us?
BLAZE (giving a funny look at Tails)
What are talking about? Of course he won't remember us. He was not even a week old when we found him.
TAILS
Well I'm just saying that the power of chaos could do interesting things to a person.
BLAZE
Listen, don't worry about it. Alright?
TAILS
You're right.
The Sol Emerald rises up from Blazes hand and disappears.
Cut to Robert who is just getting called for dinner by his "mother" (Liz).
LIZ (Shouting from the hallway)
Alright you two, Dinner's ready.
Robert emerges from his room as well the daughter (Amanda) where she purposely bumps into Robert (slowing him down), and steals his dinner spot. They sit down.
LIZ
So, how was your day? Exciting?
AMANDA
I actually got a 100% credit on my biology project.
LIZ
Oh that's great!
AMANDA
Yeah! It turns out that if I force it all on my project partner, I get an easy A.
LIZ
Uh...... Awesome! And how about you Robert? Is school getting better for you?
Before Robert gets a chance to speak, Amanda interrupts.
AMANDA
No it isn't. Something about a person by the name of Amanda keeps spreading rumors about him. He's not making any progress at all.
As Amanda is talking, Robert is making a fist under the table.
Although, since he is a "gamer", that's probably the reason why he's ignored all of the time.
LIZ
Amanda!
AMANDA
What? I'm only telling the truth. Why do you think Robert's always been ignored?
Robert violently stabs his fork into his steak and heads for the backyard.
LIZ
*sigh* Jesus.
Liz leaves the table.
AMANDA
Oh sorry, was it something I said?
Switch to the backyard where Robert is sitting on the deck looking all depressed. Liz tries to talk to Robert.
ROBERT
What do you want?
LIZ (Ignoring the Question)
Hey, are you okay?
ROBERT (Sarcastically)
Oh yeah, just great.
LIZ
Hey, listen. I'm starting to consider what Amanda has been saying and...
ROBERT
Just leave me alone. Alright?
Liz Leaves with a shrug and goes back inside. Robert starts to walk around the backyard.
What is my life coming to? I'm completely ignored at school all because of my damn sister. That should never happen.
Robert stops and raises his arms up.
Am I going to get anywhere in my life?
Robert walks a bit more until he trips over the Sol Emerald that Blaze sent out.
Ow! *grunts*
Kneels down to give the Emerald a look.
Huh? It looks just like a...
Blazes voice interrupts
BLAZE
A Sol Emerald.
ROBERT
Who said that?
Robert is looking around but doesn't see anybody. Then a flash of light happens.
When the light dims down, Blaze is right in front of Robert. Robert then freaks out.
Whoa! Where the hell did you come from!?
BLAZE
Sorry that I scared you like that. My name is Blaze the Cat. You know me from Sonic Rush right?
ROBERT
Yeah I know who you are, I just haven't beaten Rush yet.
BLAZE
What! Why?
ROBERT
Because Egg King is freaking impossible!
BLAZE
Really? Well you can always go to the options menu and switch the difficulty from normal to easy.
ROBERT (Surprised)
Wait! You can actually do that?
BLAZE
Yeah! Here.
She hands Robert his 3DS with a copy of Sonic Rush already inserted.
But you might have one small problem.
ROBERT (As he's Booting up the game)
What do you mean?
When the game is started: it stays at a blank, white screen with no music.
Hey! Where's the title screen?
BLAZE
This is only a "subtle" representation of what's happening to my world.
ROBERT
Subtle representation? What are you talking about?
BLAZE
Out of nowhere, Sonic himself has turned evil. Obviously something must've happened to the Chaos Emeralds.
ROBERT
That would make sense considering this isn't the first time something like this happened.
BLAZE
Because of all of this, things are dangerously changing. And if this continues, our world will disappear completely.
ROBERT
And my guess is that if he's done with that world, He'll break out and unleash his fury here.
BLAZE
Oh so you've played Secret Rings I see?
ROBERT
Unfortunately.
Robert goes back on the topic.
Well obviously this is a huge issue. But what do you want me to do?
BLAZE
Kid, look: I hate to ask for help, but I need you to help me restore Sonic as well as the Sonic Universe.
ROBERT
Hmm... So this little cry for help is for the sake of giving an exorcism huh? Alright you can count me in, I guess. Anything to get away from my sister for a little bit. But if this is all coming out of your world, how am I supposed to help you?
BLAZE
It's actually very simple. As the keeper of the 7 Sol Emeralds, I already know that they have an unlimited amount of energy. I can simply give you new abilities that are similar to Sonic.
ROBERT
What!? You can do that?
Blaze picks up the Sol Emerald.
BLAZE
Now touch the Emerald.
ROBERT
Are you sure?
BLAZE
Hey I can already tell I'm your favorite character. What makes you think I'm going to kill you?
ROBERT
Point taken.
Robert gently takes the Sol Emerald from her hand and notices a small spark.
?...
A huge electric shock happens.
Ow!
Robert is unconscious for a few seconds.
BLAZE (Worried)
Oh shit! Are you okay?
ROBERT (Waking up)
Yeah. I'll live.
BLAZE
That was a pretty nasty shock! I'm honestly surprised you survived.
ROBERT
Well I feel everything in my body moving at a much faster pace but it's not hurting me in the slightest. So you've definitely picked the right person.
BLAZE
I'll say right now though, you have a lot to learn.
ROBERT
*sigh* of course. Anything to get this super speed ability under control.
BLAZE
I'll teach you along the way. Now, are you ready to go?
ROBERT (Excited)
Bring on the adventure.
BLAZE
That's what I like to hear. Alright let's go.
The portal materializes behind Blaze.
ROBERT
Cool! And... Don't call me kid. Call me Robert.
Blaze gives Robert a funny look and they run into the portal.
Now let's roll!
The portal closes. Along the way Blaze is teaching Robert how to work the Boost, Homing Attack, etc.
A training montage is inserted.
Once it's over Robert and Blaze progress.
Hey Blaze, Can I ask you about "Dark Sonic"?
BLAZE
Sure. What about him?
ROBERT
Should we do some kind of recon? So I know what I'm dealing with here.
BLAZE (Feeling Dark Sonics presence)
Uh... yeah, that won't be necessary.
ROBERT
Why not?
BLAZE
Because he's already here!
Dark Sonic shows up in his curled up ball state and goes for Robert. Robert quicksteps out of the way.
The Dark Emeralds are surrounding him.
ROBERT (Talking to Dark Sonic)
Sheesh! I know your quills are sharp but Jesus Christ, you almost split me in half!
BLAZE
*sigh* So much for doing this quietly.
DARK SONIC
Wow Blaze! I'm impressed
As he's clapping
You're actually this desperate to bring this little fan-boy here? Either this kid has high hopes or a huge death wish.
ROBERT
Hey! Ease up on the insults you Super Sonic recolor! You have no idea about what I went through.
DARK SONIC
Aw... That's cute what you just said. You think you have the guts to stop a god?
ROBERT
Believe me, that was no exaggeration.
DARK SONIC
Oh I know. I know about you and you're "loneliness". You're nothing without gaming as a whole. When I'm done with the gaming universe, I'll watch you slowly suffer. Thanks to your sister.
Looks at Blaze.
Speaking of suffering.
Dark Sonic holds Blaze in place. Charges a mind control blast. Blaze struggles to get free.
I could always use more servants to help me find the Chaos Emeralds that Eggman destroyed.
ROBERT
Oh hell no!
Robert jumps in and homing attacks the Mind Control Blast. It deflects back at Dark Sonic effectively hurting him. The Dark Emeralds then Shatter into multiple pieces and fly off.
DARK SONIC (In Pain)
Damn! I guess I've underestimated you.
ROBERT
Yeah I guess you could say "Looks aren't everything."
DARK SONIC
Ah... well you got lucky this time so I'm letting you two go. Just hope we don't run into each other again.
Dark Sonic leaves.
ROBERT
Blaze? Are you okay?
BLAZE
I'm fine, yeah. I'm surprised you managed to do that!
ROBERT
Hey, it was the first thing that popped in head. I'm lucky that it worked.
BLAZE
At least we now know what happened to the Chaos Emeralds.
ROBERT
And if it's true that Eggman shattered them, he's probably the cause of all this.
BLAZE
That's definitely right. When I first saw him, he was flying out of Eggmans base (Which is on the coastline).
ROBERT
Then that's where we should start. Come on! Let's move.
Robert and Blaze make it to the end of the portal pathway and race off to Eggmans base.
As they're running towards the base, they're being attacked by the defenses.
ROBERT (Running)
Dang! How many missile launchers and proximity mines does this guy need!?
BLAZE (Running)
Too Many. Although he's gotta have a hell of a time sleeping every night.
Blaze and Robert then jump over the outer perimeter wall and into the Egg Pawn Resort.
Blaze accidentally falls into a pool filled with "Party Drunk Egg Pawns".
ROBERT
Whoa! You okay in there?
BLAZE
I'll be fine.
Blaze notices the pool ladder and the door leading into the base. The door is locked. She then notices the D.J. tower guard and gets the idea that he has the key.
I found the ladder and our way inside but I think the guard in the D.J. Tower has the password. Take him out. I'll be out by the time you get back.
ROBERT
Okay. One password coming up! Just be careful in there.
Robert runs for the password and Blaze Is slowly inching and squeezing her way through the Egg Pawns.
BLAZE
Excuse me, pardon me, I need to get through.
Meanwhile, Robert takes a shortcut through the "Female Egg Pawn Locker Room".
ROBERT
As the Egg Pawns are screaming.
Sorry about this ladies, I get need to get somewhere faster, Thank you for your time!
When Robert exits the other side of the locker room.
I can't believe I actually did that. Well at least I got an appropriate reaction.
Robert notices a folded piece of paper in his pocket. He opens it up and shows a picture of an Egg Pawn and has the words "Call Me" written on the bottom.
Okay, never mind.
Robert tears the message in half and proceeds.
Switch back to Blaze who is having an easier time navigating through until she gets hit on the back of the head with a beach ball. She smacks the ball back at the Egg Pawn who threw it, hitting it in its gut, and then moves on.
EGG PAWN
Well... So much for being a hit with the ladies......... And my pride.
Switch to Robert, who's at the D.J. Tower. The D.J. Pawn takes a break as soon as Robert busts in.
ROBERT
Give me the password!
D.J. PAWN
Hey man! What's your deal?
ROBERT
I need to get inside!
D.J. PAWN
And why would I let a skinny meat bag intruder get inside the base?
ROBERT
Because I need to get the dope on your boss. So just give me the P.W. so you'll chill like a penguin and I'll walk out smooth... with bling.
A moment of awkward silence happens until the D.J. Pawn breaks down.
D.J. PAWN (Crying)
Ok fine! You win!
He hands Robert the password. Robert is confused.
Nothing matters to me anymore. All I ever wanted to do is to take the lead part in a boy band!
ROBERT (Both Confused and Respectful)
Hey, I didn't mean any harm to you. If you want to pursue that dream, then leave Eggman and this crappy job.
D.J. PAWN
*sniff* you know what? You're right! After this day, I'm telling that fatso I quit.
ROBERT (As he's backing away to the door)
That's the spirit. Go for your goal!
Robert closes the door and wonders what happened.
Robert heads back down to the pool where Blaze climbs up and out of it.
BLAZE
Oh thank god! I'm out! Did you get the password?
ROBERT
Yes I did. Let's head for the door.
Robert and Blaze walk to the door and type in the password.
Let's see here. The password is... hoagies.
COMPUTER SYSTEM
Access Denied.
ROBERT
Damn it! No! *sigh* got another plan of entry.
BLAZE
Sure, but let me see that password first.
Robert gives Blaze the password and retypes it in the keypad except she puts it in all caps.
COMPUTER SYSTEM
Access Granted.
Blaze gives Robert a look and a smile.
ROBERT (Embarrassed)
Show off.
Robert and Blaze then head to the area where Dark Sonic was created. The room is completely empty.
Where is he? Did he just abandon this base?
Eggman tries to sneak past Blaze and Robert but trips over.
There you are! Now what did you do to Sonic and the Emeralds?
DR. EGGMAN
Oh great! Just what I needed, another person that I barely know. Only this time, I get berated from the get-go.
BLAZE
Robert, calm down for a bit. He does have a good point, so go for the gentle approach.
DR. EGGMAN
Thank you. At least someone under......
BLAZE (Interrupting)
Although this doesn't get you off the hook.
DR. EGGMAN
Of course
ROBERT (Putting on a softer tone)
Okay so why were you sneaking back into your own base?
DR. EGGMAN
Well you see... it's the result of being back-stabbed.
BLAZE
What are you saying?
DR. EGGMAN
I teamed up with another scientist. I don't remember his name though. We came up with a plan to turn Sonic evil and do our bidding. The transformation was successful but when he insisted to unleash his power even further, I backed out. Of course, he threatened me but I shattered the Chaos Emeralds into two pieces so he wouldn't win. He then kicks me out of my own base.
ROBERT
And I'm going to assume the Emeralds are now scattered across this world.
DR. EGGMAN
Precisely.
ROBERT
So is there a way we can change him back?
DR. EGGMAN
Yes, I just don't know how you're going to put the Emeralds back together. I would go to Knuckles for Emerald help.
BLAZE
How are we going to find him though?
DR. EGGMAN
Hmm... Well I did just get a recent report about Angel Island falling into the ocean.
ROBERT
That definitely means he's there. C'mon Blaze! Let's check out that island.
BLAZE
Good idea.
Robert and Blaze run off to Angel Island. They take another way out and Jump over the Perimeter wall.
Before they continue on, Robert notices Tails who was about to get jumped two Motobugs. Robert (of course) homing Attacks the two Motobugs.
TAILS
*whew* Thanks for the save.
ROBERT
Oh you don't have to thank me. Although what are you doing near Eggmans base?
TAILS
I came here to gather more information on this crisis.
BLAZE
Well we've already figured out what's going on here.
Before Blaze can explain, a giant defense robot appears out of nowhere.
ROBERT
Just tell Tails what we know; I'll take this metal head down no problem.
BLAZE
Good luck Blue Shot.
ROBERT
Did you just call me...? Never mind.
While Robert is fighting the giant robot, Blaze is talking to Tails. Blaze tells Tails what happened.
TAILS
Oh so that's why they're pieces. Because I just found one of them a few minutes ago.
He shows Blaze a piece of the Yellow Chaos Emerald.
BLAZE
Where do you think the other one is?
TAILS
Beats me. It could be in that robot for all I know.
Robert notices the glowing spot on the robot. Robert gets the idea that it's the weak point.
So does he remember?
BLAZE
Tails, remember what I told you.
TAILS
I know, he wasn't even a week old when we found him. It's just that if he finds out. Well I don't know what would happen.
BLAZE
I'll make sure that doesn't happen.
Robert defeats the robot takes the Emerald piece before it blows up.
ROBERT
Okay I'm finished. Were you guys talking about something?
BLAZE
Oh we were talking about our past adventures together.
ROBERT
You mean all two of them?
BLAZE
Yeah.
ROBERT
I can understand that. But look what I found.
Robert shows the other half of the Yellow Chaos Emerald.
Suddenly, to two half's merge together, fixing the Emerald.
TAILS
Wow! Uncalled for, but still awesome!
ROBERT
So I guess we don't need Knuckles to put the Emeralds together. They simply re-build themselves.
BLAZE
But that shouldn't stop us from going to Angel Island. At the very least there should another Emerald to restore there.
TAILS
Wait? You guys are going to Angel Island?
ROBERT
Yeah. Eggman got a recent report saying that it fell to the ground.
TAILS
Well I can definitely help you two by at least giving you a lift. But before I do that. Robert, I want to give you something.
As he hands Robert a strange looking anklet.
Originally, I wanted to give it to Sonic but I think this will help you more.
ROBERT
What is it?
TAILS
It's a special little invention I created after studying my Jet Anklet and the Ancient Light. This will allow you to charge up your starting speed and let you run at that same speed. The force will be so strong; most foes will be obliterated in a blink of an eye. But I'm not sure if it's capable of taking down a Light-Speed Attack.
ROBERT (As he's putting on the anklet)
Acceleration charge huh? Cool!
TAILS
Come on you two! The Tornado is close by.
Tails leads Robert and Blaze to the Tornado Hangar. Blaze sits in the back seat and Robert stands on the wings. They take and make it to island shortly after. Tails lowers the plane down to a comfortable height for Blaze. Then her and Robert jump down.
As Tails flies back to the hangar.
I'll try to contact you whenever I can.
Robert gives Tails thumbs up.
BLAZE
Now if I'm correct, we should head to the very top of the island.
ROBERT
Right! The Master Emerald is up there so it would make sense. As long as we don't attract too much attention.
As soon as he said that, a hoard of badniks that Eggman left behind since 3 & Knuckles starts chasing them.
ROBERT & BLAZE
Run!
They both start running fast as they're being chased.
ROBERT
Where did they come from?
BLAZE
I guess Eggman forgot about these Badniks here when he invaded this island, and now they're thirsty for blood.
Robert and continue to run some more.
ROBERT
These guys are relentless!
BLAZE
We have to make it to that cliff! They'll stop chasing us from there.
ROBERT
Lead the way.
Blaze takes the lead and Robert follows.
Just when they get to the cliff and before they make the jump, it falls apart. Robert and Blaze fall into Hydrocity Zone.
They both get sucked through a complicated water working complex until they get launched up to Sky Sanctuary Zone.
Along the way, a piece of the Green Emerald is stuck in the pipes. Blaze accidently dislodges it.
They both lie down next to each other and breathe heavily.
BLAZE (Breathing Heavily)
You...... okay?
ROBERT (Breathing Heavily)
Yeah......I just need to... take a break.
BLAZE
Same......... Let's not...... do that again.
The Emerald piece falls next to Robert.
Robert passes out.
When Robert wakes up, He and Blaze then make it to the Master Emerald Shrine with Knuckles at the top of it with his head down.
See? I was right.
ROBERT
I never said you were wrong. We better talk to him.
BLAZE
I don't know. Somethings not right.
ROBERT
What do you mean? Look at him.
Camera points at Knuckles
Have you ever seen anyone this peaceful before?
BLAZE
Well he is really... zoned out.
Robert walks up to Knuckles.
ROBERT
Hey Knuckles! Thank god we found you because Blaze and I need your help.
Knuckle's raises his head and attacks Robert, revealing that he's possessed.
Robert dodges Dark Knuckles upper cut.
Oh no.
Dark Knuckles notices Blaze and jumps at her.
Blazes punches Dark Knuckles back; launching him back at the staircase.
BLAZE
Well... and I thought Shadow was the anti-social one.
Dark Knuckles lunges at Blaze again. Blaze roundhouse kicks him in the face.
Dark Knuckles and Blaze then get into an intense fist fight until Blaze head-butts Dark Knuckles; knocking the 2nd piece of the Green Chaos Emerald out of him.
Hmpt... I guess you used to be cool.
Robert jogs up to Blaze.
ROBERT
So.. the rivalry is still going on?
BLAZE
Pretty much.
The two pieces of the Green Chaos Emerald then merge together.
Knuckles then turns back to normal by a spirit blast, ripping the Dark Influence out of him.
KNUCKLES (Shaking his head)
Ow. My head. I think I actually gained some intelligence.
BLAZE
Oh great.
KNUCKLES
*Chuckles* I was only kidding.
ROBERT
Although, considering that you spent all your life guarding the Master Emerald, I highly doubt you got much of an education.
KNUCKLES

Sorry. I'm just surprised that Dark Sonic didn't go after the Master Emerald.

Hey, it just shows how insignificant this thing has become over the years.
ROBERT

BLAZE
Hey Robert! Come over here!
Robert walks over with Knuckles following after.
ROBERT
Whoa! What is that?
KNUCKLES
That old factory is one of Eggman's old bases of operations. Ever since Sonic took down Eggman there, He's abandoned it.
A spurt of fire illuminates from the base with everybody realizing that the base is fully operational.
What the...? The base should be dead!
BLAZE (Turning to Robert)
C'mon Robert! We have to investigate that base and shut it down!
Robert quickly nods yes.
Robert and Blaze then race towards the old factory.
As they approach the factory, Robert gets a sudden realization that it's Scrap Brain Zone from Sonic 1.
ROBERT (Noticing the fire and saw blades)
Wait a minute; this is Scrap Brain from the first Sonic the Hedgehog game!
BLAZE
What? I know that you've been playing Sonic all your life, but how do you know that?
ROBERT
Because this is the only place I know that has so many killer fire traps, saw blades, floor traps, and even killer pigs.
BLAZE (who is a little confused)
Okay.
Robert and Blaze run through separate corridors.
Blaze runs through a fiery hallway and notices a wall of fire traps.
Good thing I can control fire.
She jumps through coming out as a huge fire ball, obliterating a group of Pig Badniks ahead, Obtaining a piece of the Light Blue Emerald.
Robert runs through a hallway with a bunch of saw blades. Robert makes a bunch of close calls.
ROBERT
Woah! Jeesh!
Robert notices a giant blade coming at him.
Aaaahhh!
Robert slides under with the blade barely missing it without a scratch.
*whew* that was too close.
Him and Blaze rejoin and continue to the area where the Final Zone is.
They spot Dark Sonic and hide.
What's he doing here?
BLAZE
He must be the reason why this place is fully operational.
ROBERT
I think we can take him though.
BLAZE
How? We only have two emeralds restored.
ROBERT
That's gotta be good enough for a surprise attack, right?
BLAZE
*sigh* fine. I'll have your back in case if anything goes wrong.
Robert nods yes and quietly tip toes over to Dark Sonic.
Blaze is anticipating through the whole situation.
Before Robert can make his move, Amy shows up out of nowhere and mistakes Robert for Sonic.
AMY
Finally! I've got you cornered Sonic!
Amy is "hugging" Robert real tightly and Robert is trying to break free. Dark Sonic notices and is enjoying the moment.
ROBERT
What the hell!?
AMY
Now we can...
Amy realizes that he isn't Sonic and let goes of him.
Oh my god! I'm so sorry!
Amy lightly punches Robert in the face, where Robert loses his balance for a bit.
I seriously need to get my eyes checked.
Robert looks at Blaze in sheer confusion.
DARK SONIC
Ha! You thought you could take me out with a strategy that a mere child would come up with.
BLAZE
Hey, I didn't think it would work. Amy was just an obstruction to a failed attempt.
ROBERT & AMY
Hey!
DARK SONIC
Whatever, I'm not in the mood to kill you anyway.
Dark Sonic holds Amy in place.
I'll just have her do it instead.
Amy is quickly possessed and pulls out an ax.
Dark Sonic talks to Dark Amy.
Don't let him get in between us.
Dark Sonic flies away.
ROBERT
And of course he runs away. And I thought he was supposed to be threatening.
Dark Amy starts taking swings with her ax.
Shit! She's fast!
BLAZE
Then get out of there!
Dark Amy turns invisible.
ROBERT
What the... where did she go?
Dark Amy closes the piston doors and sneaks up on Robert.
Robert quickly notices and ducks on the first swing. When Amy makes the second swing, Robert desperately uses Chaos Control.
Chaos Control!
Both Dark Amy and Robert are both slowed down with Robert getting the upper hand by dodging the second swing and kick her into the control terminal where the door is unlocked.
Blaze runs into the room.
BLAZE
Finally! What's the score?
She notices that Dark Amy is completely dazed.
Wow! How did you do it?
ROBERT
I don't know. I just used Chaos Control and she's easily defeated.
BLAZE
Yeah... But... *sigh*
The Light Blue Emerald Piece floats out of Blazes back pocket.
Where is the other piece?
ROBERT
No clue.
Robert contacts Tails on his wristwatch.
Tails? Are you there?
TAILS (Picking up the signal)
Yeah I'm here. What's going on? And why are you in Scrap Brain?
ROBERT
We found another piece of the Chaos Emeralds! Blaze and I definitely think that the other piece is nearby. Could you check?
TAILS
Absolutely! I've hacked the security systems here ages ago.
Tails quickly finds the other Emerald piece (which is in the main core of the factory) through his computer.
Got it! But releasing it will cause the core, so you'll have to move fast to get out of the factory and the blast radius.
ROBERT
Don't worry, we'll be quick.
TAILS
Alright. I'll try and delay the self-destruction sequence as best I can.
Tails releases the Light Blue Emerald piece from the core and it magnetizes to the other piece.
The Light Blue Chaos Emerald is restored and Amy is back to normal.
AMY
Where am I?
ROBERT
Dark Sonic just possessed you after you mistook me for Sonic.
AMY
Wait... Sonic turned evil?
The base begins to self-destruct.
COMPUTERIZED VOICE
Core has malfunctioned! Self-Destruction in 3 minutes!
BLAZE
We'll explain later! Amy, do you know the fastest way out?
AMY
Yes, it's the way I came in. Come on!
Amy grabs the ax and they all leave.
They all make it safety with only 10 seconds to spare.
The base blows up and they all watch the explosion.
So that's how it all happened huh?
Robert and Blaze nod yes and Tails calls.
ROBERT (Answering)
Yes?
TAILS
That was a heck of an explosion! I'm surprised you three made it out in just three minutes.
ROBERT
If Amy didn't lead us out, we've all would've been in hell in an instant.
TAILS
Right......... Anyway, I decided if I can help you find the pieces. And it turns out that I just found another one in the polar ice caps. I'll pin-point the location so both of you don't awkwardly run into it this time.
BLAZE (Overhearing)
Thank you. That would be extremely helpful.
TAILS
Both of you better be careful though. I'm detecting multiple G.U.N. battleships that are near the area.
BLAZE
What's the military doing near an artic wasteland?
TAILS
My guess is that they're assigned to keep something away from everyone else.
ROBERT
That's got to be something Dark Sonic has done. We'll go check it out.
TAILS
I'm on my way now. Just need to get two things to help you out.
ROBERT
Okay. We're just waiting for your arrival. Robert out!
Tails arrives in the Tornado and Robert/Blaze hitch a ride.
They all make it to the Polar Ice Caps and Tails hovers over the highest point in the area.
TAILS
This is the fastest route you can take to both the Emerald Piece, and the Battleships.
ROBERT (Unsure)
But we'll break every bone in our bodies.
TAILS
That's why I'm supplying you two with these.
Tails pulls out two Snowboards and hands one of each to Blaze and Robert.
ROBERT (Relieved)
Oh I see. I'm starting to love this bit already.
Robert looks at the design.
TAILS
You can thank my instant design generator for that!
BLAZE
Are you ready Robert?
ROBERT
*chuckle* yeah I am! This is going to be awesome!
TAILS
You remind me so much of Sonic it's honestly a little scary.
Tails notices an oncoming missile aiming right at the plane.
Tails spins the plane, both dodging the missile and dropping Robert and Blaze. They land perfectly fine on they're snowboards.
I better get out of here!
Tails flies away.
Robert and Blaze are snowboarding down the mountain at breakneck speeds. They spot some G.U.N. Patrol robots where they attempt to shoot at them.
Robert takes the lead and jumps from a ramp. As the Robots shoot, Robert does a "spin" trick where the bullets hit the bottom of the board, and ricochets back at them.
Blaze goes through an ice cave where she's being chased by a few G.U.N. Beetles. Blaze gets an idea to heat up the cave so the icicles fall right on top of them. The G.U.N Beetles are destroyed and Blaze makes an epic jump from the cave.
Switch back to Robert where he makes his last jump before he stops snowboarding. An unassuming G.U.N. Robot is just standing in the position Robert is going to land. When it sees Robert, it drops a few bolts from its backside, and then it's destroyed. Robert then sees a piece of the White Emerald.
ROBERT
Thank god for Tails radar otherwise this would be impossible to find.
Robert notices Blaze coming down the mountain.
Switch back to Blaze where she's being chased by a group of G.U.N. Robots
BLAZE
Ugh... You've got to be freaking kidding me!
She comes across a big frozen lake where she gets another idea to skid across it while she heats the lake up.
Blaze makes it across and all of the G.U.N. Robots that were chasing her fell through the ice (which has melted).
ROBERT
Holy Shit! That was amazing!
BLAZE
That was some impressive snowboarding kid. Ever considered joining the Winter Olympics?
ROBERT
Well... I don't know since this was my first time. You're not going to sign me up are you?
BLAZE (Looking devious)
Eh... it's just a thought. Did you find the Emerald piece?
ROBERT
Yes I did!
BLAZE
Good. Now let's check out that fleet of battleships.
ROBERT (Noticing a bright light on the leading ship)
I definitely see something bright on the Captains ship. We better see what that's all about.
He and Blaze immediately sprint over to a cliff side.
However, the G.U.N. Commander sees them and gives the orders to shoot them down with missiles.
G.U.N. COMMANDER
Engage all missiles on Blaze and the kid with the freaky hair!
G.U.N. AGENT
But sir; isn't Blaze on our side?
G.U.N. COMMANDER
I don't care dammit! We must not let anyone near Shadow the Hedgehog!
The G.U.N. Agent nods yes.
Switch back to Robert and Blaze.
Blaze notices the missile barrage coming straight for them.
BLAZE
Look out!
When the missiles hit, Robert stays on the cliff and Blaze falls on one of the battleships.
Robert!
ROBERT
I'm still in one piece! Just stay alive down there!
Back in the skies, Tails notices that they're having real trouble so he calls the commander.
G.U.N. AGENT
Incoming call from Miles Prower!
The commander accepts.
G.U.N. COMMANDER
What do you want Fox Boy?
TAILS
Call off your attacks! Blaze and Robert are not enemies!
G.U.N. COMMANDER
*chuckles* yeah right! The last time I saw her, she tore through most of my forces. Plus I can't let anyone near Shadow.
TAILS (Angry)
You stubborn, dumbass! We're here to help you with that problem!
G.U.N. COMMANDER
I don't need any help dammit! Now hang up or I'll shoot you down!
TAILS
*eergh*
Tails hangs up.
I guess we're going to have to do this the hard way.
He contacts Blaze and Robert simultaneously.
Alright guys, I have a plan.
BLAZE
Make it quick Tails!
TAILS
Blaze, I want you to lead those guided missiles to the fighter jets so they don't chase you down.
BLAZE (Noticing the two fighter jets)
Um... yeah two of them already launched.
TAILS
Destroy them all so more don't come after Robert.
BLAZE
Okay. Robert, watch out! There are two jets coming after you!
Switch to Robert.
ROBERT
I know! They're both trying to blow me up!
BLAZE
Well I need you to distract them while I blow up the rest of these jets, and the missile canons!
ROBERT
WHAT!?
BLAZE
Blaze out!
ROBERT
Oh man.
Robert taunts the jet pilots.
ROBERT (Putting on an Italian accent)
Hey you amateur pilots! Go home! The commander already knows your lack of intelligence!
PILOT 1
I may have stayed in pre-school for 10 years but you've now just hurt my feelings pal.
PILOT 2 (Laughing)
You were in pre-school for 10 years?
PILOT 1
Money was tight for me back then.
PILOT 2
Did you have trouble putting the square shaped block in the square shaped hole for that long?
PILOT 1
That tears it!
Pilot 1 attempt to blow up Pilot 2 and they veer away from Robert.
ROBERT
I didn't think that would work. At least I'll have a clean shot for the battleships.
Switch to Blaze where she's trying to blow up the rest of the G.U.N. Fighter Jets.
Another set of homing missiles is locked on to her. She jumps out of the way so the missiles destroy the rest of the jets.
Blaze notices that the two jets that were chasing Robert earlier, are now in their own personal dog fight.
Pilot 1 manages to shoot down Pilot 2 where he crashes into the second ships supply of fighter jets and homing missile canon.
Pilot 1 laughs.
PILOT 1
Yeah! Who's more educated now!
He notices that he's about to crash into the commanders homing missile canon.
Oh crap.
He crashes.
Robert catches up to Blaze.
ROBERT
*whew* that was sick!
BLAZE
Yeah... I think the commander hates me even more now.
ROBERT
Come on, we better head to the front ship before more troops on this ship show up and arrest us.
BLAZE
That's probably a good idea.
Blaze and Robert jump from battleship to battleship until they reach a magical cage of some sorts.
Whoa! I think I'm starting to understand why they were trying to blow us up earlier.
ROBERT
I can see what you mean.
Robert looks into the cage and sees Shadow (who is also possessed)
I guess when Dark Sonic possessed him; he realized that he could interfere with his plan, so Dark Sonic just caged him up here.
BLAZE
And considering this is his Dark Form; I think it's safe assume that he's more aggressive.
ROBERT
Don't worry, as long as we are outside of this cage, we should have a chance.
After Robert said that, Dark Shadow warps Robert and Blaze in the cage with him.
Ok... now were screwed.
After that, Dark Shadow launches an explosive Chaos Spear.
Robert and Blaze dive out of the way.
Dark Shadow dashes towards Robert and lays multiple punches and kicks on him and launches him to the other side of the arena.
Blaze sees this and promptly beats the shit out Dark Shadow by using her fiery fists and pushes him to the magic barrier, where he is then electrocuted.
Dark Shadow is completely dazed and Blaze helps Robert.
BLAZE
Are you alright?
ROBERT
I'm okay. *grunts* He just left a few bruises. That's all.
The second half of the White Chaos Emerald rises from Dark Shadows body.
Now let's restore that Damn 4th Chaos Emerald.
BLAZE (Rolling her eyes)
I knew that was coming.
The two pieces merge together, the White Chaos Emerald is fixed and Shadow is back to normal.
SHADOW (Regaining consciousness)
Ok... Blaze, I know I was possessed, but did you seriously have to electrocute me?
BLAZE
Yeah! What else is here to incapacitate you?
SHADOW
Alright, I get your point.
ROBERT
Speaking of that, can you destroy this cage with your Chaos Blast?
SHADOW
Do you have at least 4 Chaos Emeralds?
Robert shows Shadow.
Alright, stand back!
Shadow focuses his power.
CHAOS... BLAST!
The cage is destroyed and they're all free.
ROBERT
Awesome! Now we can all leave in...
Robert is interrupted by an entire group of G.U.N. Soldiers with their guns pointed at him, Blaze, and Shadow.
G.U.N. TEAM
Freeze! Prepare to be violently shot!
SHADOW
Don't worry, these guys are a joke.
G.U.N. TEAM
What was that?
SHADOW
CHAOS CONTROL!
Shadow, Robert, and Blaze are warped to a Windows XP grassy field with the G.U.N. Team releasing all fire power in a few a seconds later.
At the grassy field, Shadow and Blaze land fine but Robert lands on his ass.
I told you didn't i?
ROBERT
Okay, you win, but before we depart.
Robert punches Shadow in the arm.
SHADOW
Ow! What the hell was that for?
ROBERT
We're even.
Robert turns his head and sees a destroyed city surrounded by a Black Time anomaly.
Blaze? Am I seeing this?
BLAZE
No. I think we should consider ourselves lucky.
ROBERT
Uh...... I don't know about that last part, because this looks way too familiar to me.
BLAZE
Oh please, it can't be...
Blaze then remembers the events of Sonic 06.
Robert? How many times did you play Sonic 06?
ROBERT
Err... my sister forced me to play it 4 whole times just to torture me.
BLAZE (Surprised)
That's horrible!
ROBERT
Yeah, the less we talk about that, the better.
BLAZE
But I definitely know who's there.
ROBERT
You mean... Silver?
BLAZE
Yes. Let's head to that city. There has to be another Chaos Emerald to restore there.
Blaze and Robert run over to the foot of the city and they find a Piece of the Blue Chaos Emerald.
Blaze sarcastically says...
Oh wow! We immediately find the first piece before we set foot in the city. Surely this isn't bode ill.
ROBERT (Concerned)
Are you okay? You sound nervous.
BLAZE
I'll be fine. Let's just go.
ROBERT
Hey, if there's any problem; tell me.
Blaze nods yes while keeping what Robert said in mind.
They enter the city.
Robert and Blaze run across the knocked over buildings.
Blaze starts to calm down.
BLAZE
Ok... this isn't too bad!
ROBERT
See? So far so goooooooooood!
Robert gets launched up into the air by a random explosion.
BLAZE
Well that's honestly not surprising.
A few more random explosions happen near Blazes location, so escapes via grind rail.
Switch back to Robert to when he's free falling with a small meteor shower.
ROBERT
Damn random explosions! Always exploding in areas where you don't want them to.
Robert notices the meteors.
Oh crap!
Robert weaves left and right, dodging the meteors until he spots a group of Iblis Birds to homing attack chain on.
Switch to Blaze who after is done fire spinning a hoard of Iblis Worms, she looks up into the sky, seeing Robert homing attacking the Iblis Birds and swinging off of floating, horizontal street lights.
BLAZE
Wow! This kid can really think on the fly!
Blaze moves on.
Switch back to Robert. After he homing attacks the Iblis Birds, Robert wall jumps downward from building to building. He lands on a highway where he meets up with Blaze yet again.
They notice a fiery tornado ripping through buildings and is coming their way.
Robert and Blaze once again run for their lives. They run until they jump into the Flame Core part where Robert goes Magma surfing on a rock through a pitch black cavern.
Blaze follows him through and gives Robert some light.
Sheesh, your freaking reckless!
ROBERT (Concentrating on what's ahead)
It's been working for my favor so far, so I'm sticking with it.
Blaze notices a big pit-fall at the end of the magma river.
BLAZE
Robert! Jump!
Robert sees the end of the river and jumps to the side path.
You almost jinxed it by saying that.
ROBERT
Ok, Point taken.
Blaze and Robert continue through the cavern until they make it to the other side.
BLAZE
Finally! Natural light!
As Robert and Blaze rub their eyes, Dark Silver floats down to the ground and speaks.
DARK SILVER
So... you're Robert huh?
ROBERT
Who said that?
Robert and Blaze turn their heads to Dark Silver.
DARK SILVER
You may have thwarted Dark Knuckles, Dark Amy, and Dark Shadow, but taking me on will have the exact opposite outcome, because I have one advantage.
ROBERT
What are you talking about?
Robert turns around and sees Blaze backing out. Robert calmly talks to her.
Is everything alright with you?
BLAZE
I don't want to hurt him. I just don't want to. I love him too much to do that.
Robert thinks about the situation.
ROBERT
Hey look, if you don't want to fight him; then let me handle this. I'll make sure he transforms back to normal without hurting him, and what I just said wasn't some "smart remark", that's a legit promise that I will fulfill for you.
BLAZE
Just... be careful, alright?
ROBERT
I will.
Robert turns back to Dark Silver.
DARK SILVER
Ha! You think you'll achieve such a goal?
ROBERT
Oh I will.
Dark Silver notices the Green Chaos Emerald in his hand and tries to rip him apart with his psychokinesis.
But right before Dark Silver does it; Robert uses Chaos Control.
ROBERT
CHAOS CONTROL!
Everything (except Robert and the Blue Chaos Emerald Pieces) Stops briefly. This gives Robert enough time to rebuild the Blue Chaos Emerald and turn Silver back to normal.
When the Chaos Control wears off, Silver is back to normal and the Blue Chaos Emerald is restored.
BLAZE (Ecstatic)
Silver!
She runs for Silver and hugs him.
I missed you so much!
SILVER
Well who said I was gone in the first place.
A moment of silence occurs for a few seconds.
Come on! Let's get out of this apocalyptic wasteland.
ROBERT
That would be the best idea.
They all head out of the city plus the time anomaly.
They head to a cliff with a cave so Robert and Blaze can camp out for the night. While Blaze is setting up camp, Robert and Silver are sitting on the cliff.
SILVER (Talking to Robert)
So... you were with Blaze huh?
ROBERT
Yes, I was.
SILVER
You know, she means a lot to me right?
ROBERT
I know.
SILVER
And from what I can tell, she means a lot to you.
ROBERT (Looking at Silver weirdly)
... You're not assuming anything are you? I mean I like her but...
SILVER (Interrupting)
I know what you're saying!
ROBERT
Oh.
SILVER
No offense or anything, but I can easily tell that you've been the "loner type". Did you have any friends?
ROBERT
Um... *sigh* no I didn't.
Blaze starts to over hear the conversation.
SILVER
Really?! How come?
ROBERT
*sigh* I don't know. I was dumped at an orphanage for some odd reason. Then I was ignored by the other kids and parents that came for adoption for 17 years.
SILVER
Dang! Did you get adopted?
ROBERT
Yeah, but it wasn't what I hoped. Since then, I was mentally abused by my sister. Because of her, I got pushed into lockers, got my homework constantly stolen, and she told false information to other people. I didn't even get a chance to make friends.
Blaze turns around (looking a little depressed) and walks away without saying anything.
SILVER
Wow! You've went through quite a bit then.
Robert nods yes.
Silver looks at Robert.
You're easily an identifiable person Robert. Where you come from, why you're here, but there's something I will say.
Robert looks at Silver.
If anything were to happen to her, you'd have the exact same amount of outrage as I would have.
ROBERT
Oh please, I wouldn't take it that far.
SILVER (Standing up)
You'd be surprised. Anyway I'd better get home. I need to fix any sort of damage that Dark Sonic may have caused.
ROBERT (Standing up)
Alright, take care of yourself.
SILVER
You to, but just remember what I said to you.
ROBERT
I will.
Silver flies away.
Blaze walks back in the scene with some pajamas on.
BLAZE
Where's Silver?
ROBERT
He went home to see if it's still there.
BLAZE
I honestly doubt it. Hell, my house got destroyed. I'm lucky I was able to keep these night garbs and a few hair care products.
ROBERT
That's good to hear.
BLAZE
Don't you have any pajamas?
ROBERT
Well... I wasn't expecting this whole thing, so no. It's okay though, I'm used to it.
BLAZE (As she sits down on her sleeping bag)
Wait? You're used to sleeping in your underwear and socks?
ROBERT (As he takes off his shirt)
Yeah. At least were sleeping in different spots.
BLAZE (As she takes off her high heels)
Thank god! Otherwise this would've been very awkward.
Blaze gets comfortable in her sleeping bag.
Anyway, we better get some rest. It's been a long day.
ROBERT (After he takes off his shorts and sneakers)
Alright Blaze, good night.
Blaze closes her eyes and sleeps.
Robert slowly creeps in his Sleeping Bag. He lies down sideways away from Blaze. Robert then falls asleep.
Switch to the Mysterious Scientist who is in a sealed off area in Green Hill Zone. Dark Sonic approaches.
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
What's the current situation?
DARK SONIC
Robert and Blaze have managed to restore five out of the Seven Chaos Emeralds.
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
Good! By letting Robert fix the Emeralds, you'll become the most powerful being in the universe.
DARK SONIC
But that also means that the other characters are back to normal.
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST (Turns around towards Dark Sonic)
Listen to me! Just because the other characters are back, that doesn't mean you don't stand a chance.
The Mysterious Scientist turns back around.
DARK SONIC
Should we kill him now?
MYSTERIOUS SCIENTIST
No! You already have one Chaos Emerald Piece. Let Robert come to you. Now be gone!
Dark Sonic leaves.
The Mysterious Scientist then thinks about his past (revealing his name).
*chuckles* I'll show everyone not to crush my hopes and dreams. When I get my power Tony; I'll make sure to kill you better than the military did.
A flashback happens to when the "Gaming Gate" turns into a complete success.
TONY
We did it! We finally made our dreams a complete reality!
ANGELO
Yes indeed. I can only imagine what powers we can come across.
TONY (Realizing what Angelo's real intentions are)
What are you talking about? Wait a minute... you never had any good intentions did you?
ANGELO (Trying to lie)
Wha...? No! I'm just saying that's all!
TONY
Get out of my house! You're fired!
ANGELO
Hey! You can't just fire me! I helped you build this thing for months on top of months!
TONY
I should've known your intentions from the very beginning. You're not only a threat to both my wife and child, but a threat to all of mankind and gaming!
ANGELO
Fine! But you've made a huge mistake.
Angelo leaves and a Flash of White Light occurs.
Fast forward to later on that day.
Elizabeth (Tony's wife and Robert's Real mother) warns him that the military has surrounded the house.
Tony quickly writes a quick letter to the person that finds Robert.
White Flash
Elizabeth and Tony put Robert and the letter in a conveniently sized capsule. The capsule door is closed.
Tony hurriedly types in SO-MB7 (the coordinates for the Sonic Universe).
TONY (Softly)
Good luck out there son.
The capsule floats into the portal.
The Military kicks the door open and has Tony and Elizabeth at gun point.
The trigger is pulled.
White Flash
Super Sonic catches the capsule.
White Flash
The capsule is open and Sonic, Tails, and Blaze are surprised. Blaze takes the letter.
White Flash
Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds to save Robert from the amount of oxygen loss.
White Flash
TAILS
We have to send him back so Eggman doesn't find out!
White Flash
BLAZE
I'll take him back.
White Flash
Blaze drops off Robert at the orphanage steps, knocks on the door and leaves.
White Flash
Cuts back to the cave, Robert wakes up from a nightmare (which was also the flashbacks)
Blaze is still sleeping.
ROBERT (Speaking quietly)
What the hell was that?
Robert looks around the cave until he spots a piece of paper, sticking out of her back coat pocket (which is just lying on a rock next to her).
This makes Robert curious and he tip toes over. Robert carefully lifts it without waking Blaze up. Robert walks away and unfolds the piece of paper (which turns out to be the letter that Tony wrote). Robert reads it out loud but quietly.
"I never should've trusted Angelo. My dream to create an inter-dimensional machine just to make contact with you just resulted in the death of me and wife. Sonic (or anybody that finds this), take care of my son Robert. I don't care what you do; just make sure he's safe. I trust you to do this." Signed Tony.
Robert wonders what it means until he remembers the nightmare he just had; fast-forwarding in his head.
Robert then remembers his past and is in disbelief. He looks at Blaze who is still sleeping.
Robert puts his clothes back on and ditched Blaze by jumping off the cliff and warps to Planet Wisp (making sure he's far away from her).
As soon as Robert leaves, Blaze wakes up.
BLAZE (Looking around the cave)
Robert?... Robert?!
She notices the letter that's on the ground.
She gets out of the sleeping bag, walks over to it and picks it up.
And at upon first glance...
OH NO!
She drops the letter.
Blaze changes back into her regular outfit and she contacts Tails.
Tails? Tails are you there?
Tails answers the call.
TAILS (Tired)
Blaze? It's like... ten o' clock at night!
BLAZE
He knows!
TAILS
Who knows what?
BLAZE
Robert remembered his past!
TAILS (Waking up completely)
WHAT!? *sigh* I knew this was going to happen!
BLAZE
Just help me find him! He's going to get himself killed out there!
TAILS
Okay let me see.
Tails takes a few moments to pin point Roberts location.
Got it! He's on Planet Wisp! Once a very colorful planet, but now it's a lifeless wasteland (most likely because of Dark Sonic).
BLAZE
Thank you Tails! I'm heading for his location now.
TAILS (Stopping Blaze)
Please don't go.
BLAZE
Why not?
TAILS
Why not?! Because it's most likely that he hates you! That's why!
BLAZE
I already know that! But I've got to set things right with him. I'm the one that took him back after all.
TAILS
Yeah... but...
BLAZE
Tails! I'm going!
TAILS
*sigh* Fine! I'm activating warp gate to Planet Wisp now.
Warp gate to Planet Wisp appears in front of Blaze.
You know he's not going to listen to you?
BLAZE
I'll make him listen.
Blaze hangs up and jumps into the warp gate.
When she makes it to Planet Wisp, Blaze immediately sees a piece of the Red Chaos Emerald and picks it up.
This definitely means were not alone.
Blaze quickly sees Robert running in the horizon.
There you are!
Blaze quickly sprints to Robert's location.
When she catches up with Robert; Robert stops to take a breather.
So... you thought you could run away from me huh?
ROBERT
Go away.
BLAZE (Ignoring what Robert just said)
Listen, I know you're upset at me, so I just simply came to apologize.
ROBERT (Raising his voice)
Oh really!? You came all this way just to say "sorry" thinking I'm going to just easily come back to you?! Heh... well you know what? **** You! Do you have any idea on what I just went through for 17 years?! I was abused, beaten, humiliated, ignored, and lonely! And out of everyone that I knew, it was you! You were the reason why I ended up this way! You ruined my life from the very start! And just to add one more ton of salt to the wound, you knew I had a family that cared for me and that they were killed!
BLAZE (Raising her voice)
Ok first off, Sonic and Tails came up with the idea to send you back! And Secondly, None of that was called for! Your father wanted you safe and that was the best we could do!
ROBERT
Then why were you the one that dropped me off?!
BLAZE
Well... I...
ROBERT (Interrupting)
Oh you don't need to say it! Because 17 years later and when we met in that backyard; you act like you never knew me! The sad thing is, I looked up to you, I saved you from being possessed, and I even fulfilled a promise for you, and yet you were just lying to me right under my nose!
While Robert and Blaze argue, Dark Espio is watching in the shadows.
BLAZE
Robert! You're acting like a damn 3 year old! Enough!
ROBERT
Oh so you're gonna use the whole "This isn't like you" trick at me?!
BLAZE
Yes, and that's the only thing I ever knew about you ever since I held you in my arms!
ROBERT
Whatever. Right now, I've got a family to avenge! Once I'm done with that, I'm leaving this world!
Robert walks away.
BLAZE
Oh so is that it?! You'll just leave behind the people that actually at least tried to help you?! You know, now that you've mentioned that, avenging your family won't mean squat!
Robert catches that last bit and turns around.
ROBERT
What did you say to me?!
BLAZE (Ignoring the question)
By the time you fulfill that task, they won't be proud! In fact, they'll be ashamed of you because they already know just how pathetic you are!
Robert lunges at Blaze. Blaze counters the attack.
They fight.
Blaze gives Robert a few punches until Robert blocks the forth one. Robert hits back. Blaze kicks Robert in the gut and upper cut kicks him into the air. Robert quickly regains his composure and drives Blaze back down to the ground with his homing attack. Blaze throws a few fire balls to throw off Robert until she uses her heated fists lay multiple hits on him. Robert is launched to the far wall but he quickly wall jumps off of it. Then he uses the Air Boost to run her down. Blaze gets a combustible punch ready. When the Boost and Punch collide, an explosion blows them back. They ricochet of the wall and end up back near each other.
When they get up, Robert becomes desperate and tries to punch her (without even realizing where he's going). Blaze takes advantage of that and simply gives Robert the classic clothes line with her arm. Robert falls on his back.
When Robert attempts to attack again, he's caught in a net trap by Dark Espio.
Blaze immediately takes action and leaves Robert alone (giving him time to think the whole thing over).
Dark Espio throws a few ninja stars that Blaze easily avoids and she uppercuts him she gets to him. Blaze launches up to Dark Espio, grabs him, turns him upside down, and pile drives him to the ground.
With Dark Espio dazed, Blaze pulls out the Red Chaos Emerald piece. The other piece floats out of Dark Espio and they merge together.
While Espio was being changed back, Blaze goes to Robert.
Are you okay?
*As she's removing the net*.
ROBERT
Yeah... I'm fine.
A moment of silence occurs.
I'm sorry that I hurt you.
BLAZE
No I should be blaming myself. I'm sorry that I lied to you and for what I said to you. They were words I should never say to anyone.
ROBERT
But you know what? You were right. My father would be ashamed of me. I was too angry at that point and I took it out on you.
Robert hangs his head in shame tears start to run down his face.
BLAZE (Opening her arms)
Come here.
Robert accepts the opportunity and cries hard on her shoulder.
ROBERT (As he shivers along with a shot voice)
My life is just a huge disaster. And it got worse as I aged. No one even gave me a chance.
Blaze remains silent (with her eyes closed) while she comforts Robert. (She also tears up a little bit).
After an hour; Robert calms down and uses Chaos Control to warp him, Blaze, and Espio off the Planet.
Robert and Blaze press forward towards Green Hill Zone (still at night).
ROBERT
Here we are! Dark Sonics home turf!
BLAZE
Are you sure?
ROBERT
Well considering that the totem poles are shooting lazers, Sunflowers are now deadly saw blades, and there are few blood stains on the walls. Then it's a no brainer.
BLAZE
I guess you've got a point. So are you ready to restore that last Chaos Emerald?
ROBERT
Yes. Let's go!
Robert and Blaze head out to Green Hill.
After dodging loads of lazers, Sunflower sawblades, and possessed Badniks, They make it to a long stretch of road where Robert finds and picks up the first piece of the Purple Chaos Emerald.
Dark Sonic appears.
DARK SONIC
Hello Robert.
ROBERT
I'm going to assume you've left this piece out for me didn't you?
DARK SONIC
Sure I did. I did it for the sake of a climax.
ROBERT
Seriously? You know... considering the little amount of screen time you got in Sonic X; I was expecting something more.
DARK SONIC
Well now's chance to see more. Whoever wins this battle, wins the Seven Chaos Emeralds.
ROBERT
Oh! It's on!
Robert and Dark Sonic run towards each other and start fighting.
At first, Dark Sonic softens Roberts face up with a few punches and kicks him to the ground.
But then Robert gains the upper hand and does the same strategy put puts a lot more force than Dark Sonic.
Dark Sonic and Robert are now a few feet away. Dark Sonic begins to charge up his Light-Speed Attack. Robert remembers what Tails said about the "Speed Charge".
TAILS (Flashback voice)
The force will be so strong; most foes will be obliterated in a blink of an eye. But I'm not sure if it's capable of taking down a Light-Speed Attack.
ROBERT
I guess there's only one way to find out.
Robert charges up his boost.
Robert and Dark Sonic simultaneously finish charging and accelerate toward each other at light speed. When they collide, a big explosion happens. When the explosion ends, Dark Sonic is lying on the ground and Robert squats in pain.
I... did... it.
Blaze runs up to Robert without saying a word and Robert takes out the Purple Chaos Emerald. The other piece floats out of Dark Sonic and they merge together, turning Sonic back to normal. (but the ghost entity of Dark Sonic remains intact).
SONIC
Oh man. How long was I possessed?
BLAZE
You've been possessed for almost twelve hours.
SONIC
For that long?! Wow! Now where's Angelo? I want to show not to mess with the power of Chaos!
ROBERT (Remembering the other scientist that Eggman mentioned)
Wait a minute? The other scientists that worked with Eggman; that was Angelo?!
Everyone notices the ghost entity of Dark Sonic. It flies away. Robert gives chase.
ROBERT
Hey! Get back here!
It flies away into a magically secluded area. Robert is stopped by the magic door.
Sonic and Blaze then run towards him.
SONIC
That's it! That's where Angelo is!
BLAZE
There's an ancient scripture here.
ROBERT (Reading the ancient scripture)
It reads "Only those who truly understand the true power of the 7 Emeralds powered by Chaos may enter". Hmm... we now have the Seven Chaos Emeralds, so that obviously means we're heading in the right direction.
BLAZE
Then what are you waiting for? Use the Chaos Emeralds and unlock the door.
Robert nods yes and the Chaos Emeralds rise up and neutralize the door. Robert, Blaze, and Sonic walk into the area. When they stop walking, Angelo has his back turned.
SONIC
There you are! You thought I'd stay as your servant huh?
ANGELO
Actually, I knew Robert would turn you back.
ROBERT
What do you mean?
ANGELO (After he turns around)
You know Robert, to this day I'm still surprised that you managed to slip away from the Military raid! In all honesty, you should've stayed with them.
At this point, everybody that Robert met shows up.
BLAZE
Why did you do all of this? Why do you hate this universe so much? And how do you know about the death of Roberts parents?
ANGELO
Well you see. Once upon a time, I was best friends with his father. We both shared the same dream to make contact with all of you and more. So it took months after months to build this dream. On a side note, Robert was born when we just finished it. I could tell his family was nothing but great people. Well too bad your father fired me for having the same dream. He told me to leave and never come back, so I did just that. I later told the military what we've built and left in my own inter-dimensional gate (which I built in my spare time). Then I later went to Dr. Eggman and the whole thing is history.
ROBERT (Realizing Angelo's true plan)
That's bullshit! You never had any good intentions! In fact, you're obsessed with power! You just wanted this Dark Power along with the Chaos Emeralds so you can destroy everything that this world has to offer.
ANGELO
Well duh! Why else would I be here? Say hi?
ROBERT
I may not know an answer to that question, but I'll make sure that doesn't happen. You're going to pay dearly for what you've done to me and my family! I swear it!
ANGELO
*chuckles* you're smarter than Tony! You catch on faster than him. Now that you know what I want to do, I can finally show you, because you've brought the Chaos Emerald right to me.
The ghost entity of Dark Sonic shows up and the Chaos Emeralds float to Angelo.
ROBERT
Crap! No!
Angelo pulls out a gun with one bullet loaded.
ANGELO
But before I achieve this goal, I want to reward you with mercy.
Angelo puts Robert at gun point.
Since you've already went through all the trouble just to let me win, letting you suffer with everyone else would make me feel ungrateful. Tell your parents I said hello. I would appreciate it.
Robert braces himself for the bullet. He shuts his eyes and puts his hands over his face.
When Angelo pulls the trigger, a white flash happens.
When it dims down, Robert slowly opens his eyes and uncovers his face. The camera zooms out, and it reveals Blaze is right in front of him.
She clutches at her chest and falls to the ground.
ROBERT (Shocked)
BLAZE!
He positions her up against a totem pole. Blaze removes her hand from her chest (which is real bloody).
BLAZE (Struggling to stay alive)
Robert...... I'm sorry. But I had to.
ROBERT
No no, stay with me. Please don't go!
BLAZE
It's already too late for me, but that's... okay. When I meet your parents... I'll be sure to mention you.
ROBERT
Don't say that! Holy shit! This is my all my fault!
BLAZE
Listen... don't worry about... me. Just... take that son-of-a-bitch down... for all of us.
Robert nods yes.
Good... luck... Blue shot.
Blaze closes her eyes, and then she dies.
Robert stands up and backs away. He hangs his head in shame.
ANGELO
*clapping* Wow... you're pathetic. I guess you are like your father after all.
Robert is building up a Dark Power.
ROBERT
My family did what they could to protect me. And Blaze did the same exact thing.
Robert turns around and opens his eyes violently (eyes have no pupils)
I'LL KILL YOU FOR THIS!
ANGELO (Sarcastically)
I'd love to you try!
The ghost entity of Dark Sonic is combined with the Chaos Emeralds power and Angelo turns into Anj.exe (an incomplete version of Sonic.exe).
However, while Angelo was transforming; Robert takes and absorbs that same power; turning Robert into his complete Dark Form "Dark Robert" (Who's shirtless, torn clothes, added muscle tone and tattoos, overgrown spines, and a more grudged voice).
They both take to the skies to battle.
ANJ.EXE
You actually thought taking half of my power would stop me?!
DARK ROBERT
Oh I'm sure it will! You're just too scared to admit it!
ANJ.EXE
Whatever! I'll have fun ripping the other half of my power from your corpse!
DARK ROBERT
Go ahead! Try me!
Anj.exe immediately warps towards Dark Robert and punches him in the face. Dark Robert is launched through a few mountains where Anj.exe quickly assumes that he's dead.
However, Dark Robert catches Anj.exe completely off guard and drives him head first into another mountain side.
Dark Robert re-adjusts Anj.exes face and rapidly punches the crap out of it until his head turns around towards the mountain side. Dark Robert then smacks Anj.exes face into it, grabs his arm, and hurls him back to the ground. This was enough to turn Angelo back to normal.
However, Dark Robert doesn't kill Angelo. Instead, he turns back to normal.
ANGELO
I knew you wouldn't kill me. I still have the Seven Chaos Emeralds! You still lose.
Angelo realizes that the Chaos Emeralds have been restored and they're right on Robert's side.
How did you...
ROBERT
Let's just say that I have my ways.
Robert remembers what the Chaos Emeralds can really do.
Legend has it that if all Seven Emeralds are collected, a miracle is supposed to happen and thoughts are turned into power.
SONIC (From a distance)
I can see where this is going.
ROBERT
The first thing that's going to happen, I want Blaze to come back!
The magic from the Emeralds quickly goes to Blazes body, removing the bullet wound and giving life back to her. She stands up and opens her eyes.
Secondly, this world is going back to the way it was, So Sonic can have his reputation back!
The Emeralds power fixes what was wrong like Planet Wisp and the Time anomaly. Green hill is now at dawn.
And as for you Angelo, I hereby sentence you for an eternal stay in limbo! On account for all of the misery you've caused!
A crack in the ground forms where Angelo is and he falls into the black void that's under it.
ANGELO
No! Please! Let me out! This isn't fair!
As the ground closes up
ROBERT
Say what you want Angelo, but I'm a Gamer!
The ground completely closes up, leaving a very small crack
And I'm damn proud of it!
Robert sweeps the dirt in the crack with his foot.
A moment of silence happens.
Robert is looking at everybody.
Hey Sonic? Can I ask you for something?
SONIC
Sure. What is it?
ROBERT
*sigh* is it okay if I stay?
SONIC (Confused)
Well... I'm not sure.
Tails steps up and everyone else follows.
TAILS
Yes.
SONIC
Tails? Why?
TAILS
He put my invention to perfect use.
KNUCKLES
This kid saved my island.
AMY
He has a heart.
SHADOW
He's got guts. I like him.
SILVER
I can relate to this guy.
ESPIO
He has the potential.
BLAZE
He made a promise and kept it.
SONIC (Accepting what everyone said)
Then what the heck? Welcome home kid!
Blaze comes in and hugs him lightly.
ROBERT
Thank you! Although, where am I going to live?
SHADOW
I let you stay at my place. I've got four extra rooms anyway. Come on.
Before Robert and Blaze leave, Blaze tells Robert one thing.
BLAZE
By the way, I saw your mom and dad. They're really proud of you.
ROBERT
Thank you.
SILVER (Calling from a distance)
Hey guys hurry up!
Robert and Blaze nod yes and then they leave.
Robert narrates.
ROBERT
And that's my story for you. All of that action and emotion is the reason why I'm here today. But despite all of that, I now live happily and peacefully (At least for the most part). As I long as I live I will...
Blaze interrupts.
BLAZE
Hey, are you narrating again?
ROBERT
Uh... no?
Blaze gives Robert a look.
*sigh* yes.
BLAZE
*chuckles* we're going to have a hell of a time together.
ROBERT
I think it's time I put this story to rest.
Robert closes the book and the credits roll.
After the credits roll by, it cuts to the backyard where Robert and Blaze met. Amanda walks on by and finds a piece of the Dark Emerald shards. Amanda gains intelligence and does a small maniacal laugh as it fades out.
