#2 of A Great Escape

So, I wasn't originally intending to write something so soon featuring Friedrich Van Holling and Diego Redfield, but having enjoyed creating my last series with them I decided to write a two part story for fun. Here is part two and the conclusion...

Friedrich Van Holling and Diego Redfield were originally created by my husband ColinLeighton for his novel Identity and short-story Nighthawkes. They also star in my story series What Good Am I? which took place a few months before this tale.

I hope you enjoy. Please vote, comment etc to let me know.

"Look down and tell me what you see?"

Friedrich glanced out of the oval shaped window and saw snow-capped mountains below. "I'd say we're over Colorado somewhere," he pondered. "Correct dude," Diego replied, thumping his tail against his seat. Friedrich smiled and reclined back. The flight had been enjoyable so far; Diego had managed to get them business class seats and Friedrich was holding a glass of white wine in his paw. "I must say this adventure is very well put together," Friedrich continued. "Thank you for doing this." "No problem babe," Diego replied, and Friedrich smiled as his boyfriend leaned over to give him a kiss on the snoot. Friedrich didn't care if anyone saw, the most likely reaction being them ending up on the front cover of another gossip magazine. Congressman and his beau go on a trip somewhere, or words to the effect of. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are now making or descent to Denver International Airport, please ensure your tray tables are stowed away, your window blinds are up and the seat is returned to its upright position," a flight attendant's voice announced over the PA system. "On behalf of the cabin crew, we'd like to thank you for flying with Air Pacific Western." "Denver, we are definitely in Colorado," Friedrich mused. A Fox flight attendant appeared to collect Friedrich's glass. "I wanted to say that I live in San Amador, and voted for you sir," the Fox said surreptitiously. "I like a lot of what you're doing." "Thank you," Friedrich replied. "I can't say I'm perfect but I try." Inside he still felt bashful or awkward when someone recognised him outside of his political duties, but it had happened enough for him to learn to be wary but polite. "I know this is against the rules of me being on the job to ask this now, but I was concerned about selling land near the coast for industrial developments." Instinctively, Friedrich pulled out a pen and notebook and scribbled the concern down. "I'll see what I can do," he smiled. "Thank you sir!" The Fox replied, before heading on down the aisle. Friedrich felt a dig in the ribs from his boyfriend. "Dude, do you always carry a notebook around?" Diego grinned. "Old habits die hard," Friedrich sighed, fasting his seatbelt as the plane descended.

The engines changed their pitch as the plane continued downwards. Friedrich glanced outside to see them clear the airport ring-road and soon the ground was rushing up to meet them. The wheels connected with the runway and the engines howled as the pilot slammed them into reverse. A moment later they were taxing up to the terminal building and Friedrich clicked his seatbelt open. "Okay, let's see what you have in store," he said with a grin to Diego. The Wolfdog remained coy as Friedrich followed him out of the plane and to the baggage reclaim. "I'll get us a cab," Diego said once they had retrieved their suitcases. Friedrich followed as Diego led him out to the front of the terminal and towards a waiting cab. "Where to sir?" The Jackal driver behind the wheel asked. "Mind covering your ears dude?" Diego said. Friedrich let out a comical sigh and complied. He heard Diego's muffled directions to the Jackal and then they were on the move.

The taxi ride took them away from the airport and out into open country. Mountains were lining the road and Friedrich gazed up at their snow-capped peaks. Although he had the appearance of a handsome man about town; with his designer suits and urbane manner, Friedrich felt just as at home in the country thanks to his military training and upbringing. When he was a cub, Friedrich's father had often taken him on outings into the country to go camping, kayaking and hiking. His family had not lived too far away from Denver when Friedrich was a teenager before they moved to Germany. "You've been around here before?" Diego asked, sensing his thoughts. "Yes, but not for several years," Friedrich mused. "We moved around a lot, I mean I spent half of my high school years abroad." Friedrich glanced at the road signs and had an inkling of where they were heading; Hudson Peak, it was a small town nestled in the mountains that Friedrich had often visited as a teenager with his parents, but he also associated it with another memory, one that his mind occasionally dipped into although he didn't want to share it with anyone. Yet. "Almost there!" Friedrich was shaken from his thoughts as the taxi driver gestured to a sign for Hudson Peak. "Excited babe?" Diego whispered. Friedrich nodded and squeezed the Wolfdog's paw as they reached the edge of the town.

Hudson Peak was a pretty town, rather like San Amador with redbrick and Victorian era buildings lining the street. The rooftops were covered in snow while people of various breeds walked along wearing scarves and thick coats. Some of the storefronts already had Christmas decorations hanging in the windows. "You like it so far?" Diego asked. "Yes, it looks enchanting," Friedrich replied, wanting to be cheerful for his mate. The taxi took them out of town and on a winding trail that up the mountainside. "Okay, here we are dude!" Diego announced. Friedrich looked out of the window to see they had pulled up outside a log cabin covered in snow. Diego paid the driver while Friedrich hauled their suitcases out of the back. Despite his luscious layer of black and tan fur, Friedrich could feel the cold, biting winds blowing down from the mountain. "I always wanted to stay in a chalet or a cabin in the side of a mountain," Diego explained as they walked to the front door. "A lot of places were taken with it being near the Christmas season, but I found this one online and thought it looked rad. Now, the owner said the key was underneath the flower pot at the front, Ah here we go!" Friedrich felt his sense of anticipation grow as Diego unlocked the door. The feeling of spending some time away from his duties in San Amador was appealing, even if he tried to be an Alsatian of his word and be a good public servant. "You up for a rad time!" Diego said, wagging his tail. The door opened and a gust of cold air rushed over them. "Woah, this place looks like the ice palace." Diego mused. Friedrich glanced inside and saw to his surprise that the house seemed colder than the outside. "It's like Doctor Zhivago," he murmured. "Huh?" "A scene in a movie where a house gets left abandoned and is covered in ice as a result, this feels like how I imagine it would have felt to walk through that house," Friedrich explained as he stepped over the threshold. "Well, I was going to suggest we resume the pounding you were owed for losing our wrestling match, but we're going to have to thaw out the bed first." "I'm sorry babe," Diego splayed his ears. "I wanted to find somewhere in an alpine location, I didn't realise the alpine location would be indoors too." "It's okay Diego, the boiler and heating must have broken, can we contact the owners?" Diego tapped a number on his phone and sighed. "I've got no signal dude," he sighed. "No matter," Friedrich smiled. "I'm sure they have firewood around here, we'll warm ourselves up the old way." Diego's wag returned as Friedrich began his search.

It didn't take Friedrich long to discover freshly cut firewood outside the kitchen. The fireplace itself seemed clean so Friedrich put the wood in place before Diego stashed some old newspaper underneath as kindling. Soon, the fire was going strong and lighting the room up with its warm glow. Friedrich went to explore the kitchen and found the owners had left some wine and food in the fridge. "We already have dinner sorted at least," Friedrich called to Diego. The Wolfdog responded with the thumbs up before he sat down by the fire. Friedrich opened his suitcase and retrieved a clean pair of Calvin Klein briefs which he quickly changed into. It felt good to change out of the pair he had been wearing all day; they had gotten very sticky and musky thanks to getting frisky with Diego that morning. Friedrich saw the Wolfdog's eyes catch sight of his balls and sheath. "You know, when we get warmer..." he began with a cheeky smile and a tail thump. "Remember you're getting the fucking," Friedrich replied with a domineering growl. "You sure you don't want a rematch?" Diego replied. "You can't escape your fate," Friedrich teased, before going off to explore the rest of the cabin.

Snow was starting to fall outside the window as the sun disappeared behind the mountains. Friedrich sniffed about the upstairs and discovered the water heater was still working. At least we'll be able to shower. Downstairs, the fire was still bathing the front room with its warm glow. There was a soft shag pile rug in front of the fire place where Diego was already sitting. Friedrich sat down and Diego leaned over and nuzzled him. Friedrich began to feel content as he and his boyfriend sat right in front of the fire. "You know what would make this better, some wine!" Diego announced, before heading back to the kitchen. A moment later he reappeared with the bottle under his arm, two glasses in one paw and a plate of cheeses, olives and what looked like fresh bread on a plate in his other paw. "Thanks for organising this Diego, it really means a lot to me, honestly," Friedrich said. "Sure thing man," Diego replied. "I..." he added, before stopping himself. "You okay?" Friedrich asked, shuffling over and putting an arm around his boyfriend's shoulders. "Yeah, I'm awesome," Diego replied putting on a smile. Friedrich was sure that Diego wasn't awesome, but he didn't want to press the Wolfdog any further unless Diego showed any sign of wanting to be questioned. Instead, he watched as Diego opened the wine and poured them both a glass. "Thank you stud," Friedrich said as he took a glass and a piece of bread. His observation was correct, the owner of the cabin must have purchased it from a local bakery. He was grateful to eat something, even as a canine of his muscular stature, Friedrich knew the wine would go to his head unless he had something in his stomach. Diego quaffed his glass and poured himself another. "Okay, what I was going to say was that I wanted to come here for a reason," Diego admitted. "My parents took me here when I was a cub, and that was when I had a realisation that not everything was as rosy with my parents as it seemed. They spent the whole trip snarling at each other. I never wanted to come back here, but then I had the idea that I could replace the bad memories and associate this as a place with happy memories." Friedrich nodded as Diego spoke. "In any case, I'm glad we came here," he finally said. "I love you Diego, and I want to give you nothing but happy memories." "Thanks dude," Diego replied, giving Friedrich a kiss. Friedrich closed his eyes and allowed his boyfriend's tongue to slip itself into his mouth and caress the insides. "I guess I had some sad memories associated with Hudson Peak too," Friedrich sighed as the kiss ended. "Oh?" Friedrich paused. He was not usually one to show raw emotion or feel depressed by sad memories, but he felt it was only fair to tell Diego.

Friedrich took a deep breath before he began his explanation. "When my parents lived not too far from here, I had a friend who lived in this town who was in my class at high school. He was a black Cougar by the name of Patrick Locke. He was a nice kid, good at sports, decent grades in class. We used to hang out together after school, just the two of us; we went to the movies, did homework at each other's houses, our parents became friends and our families had dinner parties together. Soon, Patrick and I started going for hikes and camped out at weekends by ourselves. I guess within the close confinement of a tent, I soon realised that my friendship with Patrick was little more than just a friendship," "You two became lovers?" Diego cut in. "Not quite," Friedrich continued. "When we lay together at night, I so badly wanted to reach out and take his paw, or kiss him, but I had no idea how he would react. Hell, I didn't want to know how my parents would react at the time. Later on in life I found out that my parents didn't care about me being gay, my father was initially more disappointed that I chose a career as a massage therapist over following in his footsteps to join the military, but of course I ended up enlisting for the marines. Anyway, I lay in bed fantasising about Patrick; I had no idea how gay couples were supposed to act, but I imagined us buying a house somewhere to renovate in the country. Then, my family had to move away. My father got a more senior posting, but this one was in Germany. Now, I can probably count all the times I've cried in my life on one paw, but having to leave Colorado and Patrick was one of them." Friedrich sighed. Diego shoot him a look as if to convey a disbelief that Friedrich could ever cry. "War changes you," Friedrich sighed. "I was a different person back then, lonely and confused." "And you never saw him again?" Diego asked. "Not quite," Friedrich explained, taking another sip of wine. "Scroll forwards a few years and I'm now a marine. I've worked my way up the ranks and I'm in charge of my own unit. It was me, Emily who was a Staff Sergeant then, Lucas who is of course now my driver, a Doberman called Frank Sparks who has worked on my security detail since I became a congressman and Alec Olsen, a Wolf I'm still friends with. We're in Iraq and we are trying to work mopping up pockets of insurgency, particularly in this small village not far from my base. I didn't want to risk anyone going into the place without backup. An armoured division was dispatched to aid us. I had found out beforehand that this division was led by a man by the name of Locke. At the time I thought it was sheer coincidence, but the armoured guys rolled up and I couldn't believe my eyes; Patrick Locke was in charge. We recognised each other instantly. Patrick what on Earth are you doing here? I could ask the same of you man! What were the chances? Anyway, we discussed what we were going to do, how best to quell the situation quickly and safely. We should go for a drink after, hang out like old times back in Hudson? Yes, we should. I'd like that. I guess I still clung to the idea that I had a chance with Patrick and I hung onto that as the operation commenced. The armoured division rolled in first and an hour later I got the report back, all the resistance had been quashed. We had two injuries and one KIA, other than that it was a success." Friedrich didn't have to say the name of the fatality for Diego to know who it was. There was a moment of silence before Diego reached out and put his arms around Friedrich and gave him a gentle kiss. "I'm sorry dude," he whispered. "It's all right," Friedrich replied firmly. "I went to Patrick's funeral, but after then I never returned to here. I guess I wanted to remember it as it was, rather than hollow and empty without Patrick. However, now I have my handsome boyfriend to share it with, and Patrick wasn't the sort of guy who would want me mourning him melodramatically for the rest of my life." Friedrich concluded has he finished his glass of wine.

Friedrich sat in silence watching the fire as the snow continued to fall outside. He allowed his tail to brush into Diego's, not just as a hint but to reassure the Wolfdog that he was feeling fine. He wanted to enjoy the moment rather than focus on morbid or depressing matters, and he felt relieved when Diego's tail brushed back into his. "I'm looking forward to having Melanie back with us," Diego admitted. "I miss that kid." "I miss her too, but at least we can enjoy our privacy for now," Friedrich replied, allowing a wide grin to spread across his muzzle. "So, remember you lost the wrestling match..."| "Actually dude, I have a proposition to make," Diego said hurriedly. "Don't try to get out of this stud, your fate awaits you," Friedrich teased. "I was thinking you can either fuck me, or we could have a rematch and if you win again you can sit on my face and have me clean your hole whilst you watch a TV show or something," Diego continued. Friedrich scratched his muzzle; it was a tempting proposition, but he knew Diego had deliberately offered it in the hope of beating him again. Unless... "Okay stud, you're on," he growled playfully.

Once again, Friedrich was in nothing but his briefs and crouching like a primal canine in front of Diego who had also stripped down to his underwear; a pair of tight blue and white Wolf & Coyote briefs. Friedrich grinned; white was a traditional colour for underwear, and of course the varieties of white underwear varied in sexiness, but a pair of tight briefs on a Wolfdog was a very sexy sight to behold; especially when pre-cum was leaking out onto the white material. Friedrich intended to get Diego's briefs nice and wet with pre before he gave his boyfriend the fucking that was coming to him. As uncomfortable as it can be to sit with pre'd underwear for a long period, getting them seasoned as Friedrich called it was only to be expected when said underwear were sexy briefs being worn before wrestling and sex. Concentrate! "Three... two... one!" Diego shouted, before lunging forwards. Friedrich rolled away as Diego immediately went for the headlock again. Bad choice stud, that's what defeated you last time. Friedrich allowed Diego to put an arm around his shoulders and place a hind-paw over his legs. Diego growled domineeringly in Friedrich's face and tweaked his nipple. Friedrich resisted the urge to let out a moan. "Gotcha dude, it seems you won't be getting a comfy chair after all," Diego growled. Friedrich's felt Diego shift around, and suddenly the Wolfdog's briefs bulge was right in front of his face. Friedrich tried not to allow his arousal to distract him as Diego pressed the wet spot in the fabric against his snoot. Fuck that scent is hot. "I'm counting to ten now babe, I'm on six!" As expected, Diego's grip slackened. Friedrich immediately repeated the same move he had done that morning, using his arms and hind-paw to roll Diego over. "What the fu..." Diego began, before Friedrich planted his ass over Diego's head again and pinned his arms down. "You know what you're problem is stud?" Friedrich growled. "You can't help but get cocky and talk once you've pinned me, which means your grip loosens." He then counted to ten under his breath. "Looks like I have a new chair!" Friedrich chuckled, doing his usual victory routine of gyrating his briefs clad butt over Diego's head. "Aw fuck!" Diego's muffled voice yelled. "Heh, I'll let you breath stud, you'll need a strong jaw for this," Friedrich said, climbing off the Wolfdog and helping him up. "I suggest we clean ourselves first. I'm afraid we have no way of watching a TV show, but I did notice a nice magazine discussing the local area in the kitchen, allow me to read that while you make out with my ass." "Fine!" Diego huffed. Friedrich grinned and went to fetch the magazine and grab a shower.

Twenty minutes later after a good scrubbing, Friedrich was perching nake over Diego who was laying down on the shag pile rug. "Okay stud, give it a sniff, know your master's scent," Friedrich commanded. He felt the Wolfdog's snoot press up against his hole before Diego took a deep sniff. "Good boy," Friedrich growled, before parking his rump on his boyfriend's face. Immediately, he felt Diego's tongue connect with his hole and Friedrich gritted his fangs as the Wolfdog began to make out with it. Fuck that feels amazing. Diego's tongue lapped and caressed the bare skin around his tail hole before pushing the tip inside. Friedrich could barely maintain his composure as he made a show of opening the magazine and trying to read it. Already, several inches of thick Alsatian cock had emerged from his sheath, had his erection was growing bigger by the second as Diego kept lapping and slurping his hole. "Fuck," Friedrich growled out loud as a thick drop of pre oozed from the tip of his cock and dropped straight onto Diego's chest. He tossed the magazine to one side, reached down and grabbed Diego's nipples, tweaking and turning them as a way of venting the pent up orgasm building inside him as his boyfriend French kissed his hole. "Okay stud, I think we'd better tone it down. I'm going to get off otherwise," Friedrich groaned. "I'd rather not waste my load." "If you say so babe," Diego said, toning down his licks. "You know what, I'm going to warm your hole up," Friedrich growled. He bent down and planted his muzzle between his boyfriend's hind-paws. The dark patch of Diego's tail hole was visible and Friedrich stretched himself to make sure his tongue met it. He planted several wet licks against the bare skin before burying his muzzle in further and making out with it as if it were Diego's mouth. He felt Diego break off and huff as he lapped harder. "Okay, time to give you the good fucking you deserve," Friedrich said, breaking off. Diego scrambled up and grabbed the lube which had been resting on the floor next to them.

Friedrich lay back and watched as Diego applied a dollop of lube to his hole before handing the bottle over. Friedrich's cock was throbbing in anticipation and he began slicking himself up. He could see Diego adopting a comfortable position on the rug before the Wolfdog raised his tail. "Okay dude, enjoy this while you can. I'm making sure you're on the receiving end next time," Diego grinned. Friedrich merely responded with a chuckle and a domineering growl. Words felt wasted in such a situation. Angling his cock, he slid it into Diego's tail hole and checked that his boyfriend seemed relaxed. Diego let out a grunt but didn't show any sign of discomfort. After several months of living together, he and Diego had become accustomed to taking each other's cocks, depending on who had lost the wrestling match that particular night. Friedrich settled into a steady rhythm and soon he was pounding away, ramming his dick into Diego's tail hole. Diego was letting out grunts and moans as Friedrich continued pounding. He could feel his knot already beginning to swell, but Friedrich didn't want to go all the way just yet, it was good to savour being the Alpha for that evening. He glanced down and as he heard Diego letting out louder moans, a sign that Friedrich had hit his prostate. "Fuck, hnng," Diego managed to moan in between grunts. Friedrich's knot was now incredibly swollen. He tipped back his head and let out a howl before biting down on Diego's neck fluff as he knotted his mate. Diego let out a howl of his own as seemingly endless streams of thick cum shot from his dick while Friedrich's orgasm became more intense as the Wolfdog's hole clamped around his cock. Friedrich lifted his leg as he made the tie, feeling his dick rotating inside Diego and they collapsed onto the rug in a sticky, sweaty tangle of arms and hind-paws.

It took several minutes for the afterglow to fade as both males lay panting. "That was pretty fucking awesome," Diego admitted. "Heh, I hope you're comfortable. We may be here for a while, you know my knot takes its time to go down," Friedrich panted. "I'd recommend us going for a shower tied but I don't want us to fall in the fire." "This rug is comfy enough," Diego shrugged. "I'd read that magazine you had to pass the time, but you threw it out of reach." "Sorry stud," Friedrich chuckled. He sniffed the air; the room had the heavy, musky scent of sex. We'd better open some windows and spray airfreshner before we leave. As the thought crossed Friedrich's mind his knot went down. "Freedom," Diego laughed as he scrambled free. "Now, about that shower?" A shower was an attractive prospect, but Friedrich still felt his hind-paws were shaky as the last of the afterglow disappeared. "You okay dude?" Diego asked, sitting back down on the rug. Friedrich didn't respond, but instead he reached out and drew Diego into a tight hug, not caring how sticky the Wolfdog felt. "Thank you for bringing me here," he whispered. "Heh, as I keep saying it's no problem dude." Friedrich smiled as he took one last glance at the snow falling outside before he closed his eyes with contentment.

It's good to fill a place with nothing but happy memories.
