With their tails pinned up they moved themselves to what was left of the border of the house. The space was limited, yet it was still well used for that matter. Suddenly, a yelp left Tany as she experienced something she would have never guessed... Through the window, a sunny bright day turned brighter for the couple; which had been wanting to have a house for quite some time. This was their first time inside their house. "Honey", said Dan, "I think this is a cause for celebration... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"((...))

A deep silence was felt throughout the room. An intense ray of sunlight illuminated the room as the couple where looking at each other, both their gazes carrying a universe of both told and untold stories within them. And then, at that very same moment, They race outside and throw themselves to their beautifully decorated garden, which predominated just outside the kitchen. (Obviously, something had to occur sooner or later... They weren't going to stay gazing at each other all day...)

As the couple where looking at the brightly illuminated sky "Daniel",Tany interrupted the moment, "Yes dear?"

Tany: "What should we do now? I mean: the house is virtually a wreckage. We need some serious decor."

Dan: "Do not worry about that now. For now we clean the house and save a little money for some necessary appliances."

Tany and Dan are newly wedded furs that have ever so recently bought a house in the outskirts of what seemed to be a tropical island. Usually, when people say "tropical island" people also say "tropical paradise", without knowing that, sometimes, this is acquirable depending on the point of view that the person says it with. In this case both have met themselves with the situation of a "common" person's life.

Dan: "Well then: Lunch is served!"

Dan comes out with two plates from what seemed like an oven consisting of nothing more than some stones and sticks on the floor. He passes one plate to Tany and, after praying, begins to shove himself literally into the food. Dan was used to being poor, his mother and father lived with what the ground produced for them. None the less, education was always a must in his house, at least while the education was free. Dan, however, managed through college with his hardworking efforts, plus his arduous studying, and the famous federal grants that came in handy.

As they ate, a neighbor comes out to greet them. In this tropical island there are still people that are nice, at least; the now neighbor comes empty handed though. "Hello, I came by to see all the commotion around here.", Dan answers, "No commotion, just a "barbeque" in improvised ovens" a chuckle comes from both while Tany looks a little frustrated. "Are you two couple?", A moment of silence due to the food which was being ingested (this being Dan's second plate). "No, we're not a couple. We are happily wedded.", the neighbor looks attentively at Tany.

Neighbor:"Pardon me, I haven't introduced myself: My name is Jose Rivas and I am your "far, but quickest neighbor" and if you need me you can come by my house. Our doors are always open to good neighbors."

Dan: "Very well appreciated. If you need anything here, there is not much, but we will happily share with you."

The human, having picked up his hat -which he had in his hands when he came to the couple -and putting it on left saying: "Have a pleasant day.".

The furry couple had never been treated with such a welcome from a human. Needless to say that he, too, was a little awkward to begin with. As the hours pass by the couple pass their first day of a new life in the tropics watching the day pass by and having conversation. As the sunset came they could see the sun hide between the mountains of this newly discovered "paradise". As the sun hid the last of its crepuscular enchantment the couple face themselves with a problem. They had forgotten to connect the electricity to the house!

Anticipation to the next part:

Tany: "Daniel"

Dan: "Yes honey?"

Tany: "As much as beautiful as the sun is..."

Dan: "...mmhhmmm?"

Tany: "We have no electric lightning!! In a few hours WE WILL BE LEFT WITH OUT LIGHT!"

Dan waited for a second while Tany calmed down and let go all she had to say. Afterwards, "In that case... ", he said, "We do what people used to do back in the day...". Tany, curiously grinning, "Oh I am desperate to know what is it that people used to do back in the day..."
