PROJECT FUR: PROLOGUE

Exveemon slowly opened his eyes. Just a few minutes ago he was in his veemon form on Davis's room. Now he was on a huge White room in his evolved form. But he wasn't alone. Wargreymon and Weregarurumon were to his right, he also noticed several characters he had never seen before, they were definitely not Digimon.

"What is going on here?" asked Wargreymon.

"I have no idea" said a blue furred wolf next to him "I was training in the woods and all of a sudden a white light surrounded me and I appeared here"

"Something similar happened to us" said a tabby cat with stripes on his arms "Me and Jake were training and the next thing we knew we are here... Name's chance by the way"

"Jon Talbain" growled the wolf and took Chance's offering paw.

"I believe we are all in the same situation" said a brown colored Allosaur with a green uniform "Someone has brought us here, I believe the most logical thing to do is to wait until that someone shows up and gives us an explanation"

"Welcome" said a voice out of nowhere and suddenly a door appeared in one of the walls and a strange being appeared.

It had humanoid body, but seemed to be transparent. Every time it moved the light from the room reflected differently on its body.

"Before we start I must ask for an apology for bringing you here in such a hasty way, but the circumstances forced me to act with urgency. Now, I have brought you here to ask an enormous favor of you... I need you to save my universe"

"Is that all?" asked a fox with a pilot uniform. "I thought you were going to ask for something difficult"

"If this dimension disappears, a chain reaction that could destroy yours could unfold."

"OK" said Wargreymon "I think you have our attention now, it would be a good idea if you could explain a little more to us"

"You see..." the being started "there are many universes, worlds, dimensions, or whatever you choose to call them. But they were all created from this one and they are all connected to each other. If something happens to one of them, it will affect the rest. And right now, my universe is in danger of disappearing, and only you can save it"

"This sounds interesting" said a red pterodactyl wearing a golden armor.

"Don't go there Zeerus" said the light being "We know all about you, you cannot conquer this world no matter how much you try. What we ofer you in return of your help is the chance to test your own limits, and maybe prove yourselves as the best warrior on several universes"

"And what do we have to do?" asked Talbain

"It's very simple, your presence alone is starting to balance things. I told you every dimension was born from this one, and this dimension is in grave danger, the cause is a severe lack of vital energy. This dimension is so old, its life energy has recycled itself over the limit. In order to rejuvenate the life energy from this dimension, we need the presence of beings from another universes"

"So..." said Chance "all we need to do is just hang around for a while?"

"Not exactly" answered the being "Our numbers show that if you all stayed here without doing anything, it would take approximately 500 earth years to recover the energy for this dimension. Luckily, the energy absorption is exponential to the effort you make"

"In other words" said a green stegosaur wearing purple shorts "the more physical effort we make, the faster the energy will be reestablished"

"Correct, that is why we have organized a tournament in which you will all participate. All the energy you release during the fights will be caught by machines we have designed for that purpose. The best fighters of nearly all the universes are in this room right now, I offer you the chance to save a universe and prove you are the best, not only of your world, but of the entire multi-universe"

They all started thinking about their choices. Finally, the brown Allosaur spoke.

"I'm in, it sounds interesting"

"I'd like to accept" said a crocodile with orange-pinkish scales "But I cannot leave my partners alone in my world for that long"

"Do not be troubled" said the strange being "The entire time you spent here will be no more than two or three seconds in your world"

"In that case I'm staying too" said a red colored Gargoyle.

"One last thing" said the being "we don't breathe air, but we have prepared most of the planet to fit your needs. However, the air you are breathing right now is loaded with a mixture of hormones and proteins that will accelerate your metabolism. You might feel certain... needs you normally wouldn't felt, this is all with the purpose of restoring our energy as fast as possible. Besides, I'm sure most of you will enjoy your stay here."

"What if we don't whish to participate?" asked someone.

"according to our calculations, we only need 64 contestants, those of you who do not desire to participate must close your eyes and concentrate on a location on your own planet and you will be immediately transported there"

A few characters started vanishing until there were only 64 in the room.

"Very good" said the being "now... LET THE TOURNAMENT FOR THE TITTLE OF THE ULTIMATE INTERDIMENSIONAL WARRIOR BEGIN!"
