Just over hour six into a seven hour road trip.

Icefyre hummed along to the song on the radio, following the curves and path of the old highway, with bumps where simple repair jobs had taken place over the years. Eventually it would be full repaved, but that was lower on the priority list than the big interstates or big city roads. But the cheetah didn't mind: it had a rustic, rural charm that she loved.

To either side of the road was nothing but trees. Okay, that might have been a bit of an overstatement: every so often, a gravel or dirt road snaked away into the forest, leading to some cabin or logging site hidden from the road. But otherwise it was nothing but trees, trees, and more trees. Occasionally a pickup truck would roll on by, as well as larger semi-trailers carrying massive logs on it's trailer to some sawmill or something. She had already passed through the small town of Jackson and fueled up her car and her stomach. It was the last civilized place she was going to see for a week, as she told herself.

"You are listening to Giant Wolf Mountain Radio," the announcer said when the song ended, giving the station's call sign and position on the FM dial. "Serving the Giant Wolf Mountain National Park, Jackson, and surrounding area."

But there wasn't another song on the radio, much to Icefyre's annoyance. "So, for quite a long time, there have always been myths and rumors of giant wolves in the region-"

Icefyre poked the seek button on the radio. She wasn't going to listen to some guy ramble on: she'd rather listen to some music. A 80s rock station came on, and Icefyre grinned, cheerfully singing along to every song on the radio, if just slightly off pitch and not quite on tune, but mastering the guitar solo accapella style.

To her left, a big sign came up, with "Giant Wolf Mountain National Park" on it, as well as the logos for the different government agencies that were responsible for it. She had arrived.

A park ranger sat in the small wooden hut that formed the entrance to the park. He looked up from the magazine he was reading when Icefyre's car pulled up.

"Howdy there," the rather large bear said, adjusting his Smokey Bear hat. "What can I do for ya?"

"I'm just here for a week or so. A bit of a hiking and camping trip," Icefyre replied.

"Well of course," the bear said, leaning out the window, then into the car. "Anyone else with you?"

"Nope, just me," Icefyre replied.

"I see."

"Something wrong?" Icefyre asked.

"Just more wildlife reportings than usual. Lynx, cougars, and, of course, wolves," the ranger replied. "Nothing too major. Just don't feed them, and keep a fire going at all times. Usually enough to scare them off."

"Alright, thanks," Icefyre said, before digging into her purse to find some cash, and paying the ranger, who seemed almost too eager to have someone show up. Maybe there wasn't that many people showing up? The cheetah mentally shrugged.

"Where did the park get it's name?" Icefyre asked as she got change back.

"Well, there is an old Indian legend that wolves, many times the size of a normal wolf, towering over men, live in the area, and can change sizes and stuff. Now, I haven't seen any myself, but some people who have been in the park have claimed to." The bear shrugged. "But, hey, it's been a great tourist draw."

Icefyre nodded. "I just came here for the camping, get away from the city."

"Well we are about as far away from civilization as you can get out here," the ranger said. "So if you need any help, just come on back to here or one of the ranger stations in the park, because cell service won't work."

"Got it, thanks," Icefyre said, though that struck her as odd. Everywhere had at least some cell service now, didn't it?

"Have a good trip, and see you later!" the bear said, waving as Icefyre pulled away, and into the small parking lot. She loaded her backpack, fill to overflowing with all the food and supplies she would need for the weekend, including a small tent and sleeping bag, water bottle, a book or two, a first aid kit, matches and whatever other tools she might need. She shouldered the bag, locked her car, and took out the little map she had printed off back at her apartment, and pointed herself in the right direction, and began her hike.

It had been almost six months since she last took a big trip like this. But with spring turning to summer, the wildfire threat reduced, and several vacation days unspent from work, and an itch for fresh air and desire to just get away from the crowded, almost claustrophobic city had all built up until she finally convinced herself.

There were several hiking trails through the park leading to different camping sites. She had printed off a map to one in particular she thought would have been nice to go to. However, the park didn't seem to be as well maintained as other parks, with few signs marking out trails or anything. It seemed odd, now that she thought of it: normally a national park would have the resources to do little things like make some signs and keep the paths mostly cleared of rubble and saplings.

Maybe budget cuts were getting that bad.

Icefyre trudged on, admiring the scenery and watching birds, squirrels and chipmunks race through the forest doing whatever it was they did. But after three hours, the trees were starting to look the same, and she began to realize that she was hopelessly lost, and growing increasingly exhausted. She had no idea if she had been going in circles or if it was an out of date map she had. The cheetah grumbled, kicking at the dirt path, and tried to go the other way from where she went before.

"Can I help you miss?"

Icefyre nearly jumped out of her spots, spinning around to see another forest ranger, a buck, standing behind her.

"Ah! You scared me!" Icefyre exclaimed.

"Sorry," the forest ranger said with a sheepish grin. "Must be part of my DNA to sneak through trees. I'm Jack, what's your name?"

Icefyre replied with her name, before telling the ranger of what she had planned, map included.

Ranger Jack looked at the map, then chuckled. "Miss Icefyre, I hate to say it but you've been walking in the wrong direction. You are... here," he said, pointing to a spot a long ways away from where the red ink with the circle of the camping spot that Icefyre wanted to go to.

"Damnit," Icefyre wearily sighed. "And I'll never get there before dark."

"Hey, don't worry," Ranger Jack said. "Just up this trail is a nice spot for camping. When I was younger, I would often go there myself."

"Oh? Well, since I came all this way, might as well, eh?" Icefyre said.

Ranger Jack lead Icefyre to the spot he was talking about. It was a small meadow, quite peaceful, with a small brook meandering to one side, and the Giant Wolf Mountains hanging high in the sky the other way.

"Wow, this is a nice spot," Icefyre said.

Ranger Jack smiled. "Oh yes. This used to be a Native American gathering spot. Some say it was for trade, some for winter quarters, but I personally say it's a religious site, where the mystical powers of the mountain are best felt and harnessed."

"Really?" Icefyre said, raising an eyebrow. "I thought it was just a myth."

Ranger Jack's smile began to fade. "At one time, it was real. But now... I don't know." The Ranger shook his head. "But, feel free to camp here. My station is just over there," the deer said, pointing just to the side of the mountain. "About a mile away from here. If you need anything, come and see me." Ranger Jack nodded. "And make sure you put out your fire before you sleep."

"Wouldn't you want to keep it going to keep the animals away?" Icefyre asked.

"The... wildlife here are more inclined to go toward campfires. I know, seems weird. One too many tourist feeding them, or something like that," the buck said. "But the bears and wolves of the park are well fed this time of year, so won't be looking for trouble."

"Bears? I wasn't told there were bears," Icefyre said.

"Who told you?"

"The ranger at the front gate. I didn't get his name, but he was an anthro bear," Icefyre said.

"Ah. Ranger Vick," the deer said. "Well, there are bears. Must have slipped his mind." He shook his head. "Either way, I'll let you be. Have a good evening, ma'am, and I'll talk to you later."

Ranger Jack turned around and walked back into the forest, and seemingly disappeared into the bush.

Icefyre blinked. Her eyes must have been playing tricks on her.

She slipped her backpack of her shoulder, and prepared her camping spot.

The full day of walking had tired Icefyre out more than she thought it would have. After a quick supper over a hastily built campfire, she struggled with the tent for a bit, but when she couldn't get the aluminum poles lined up right, and she could barely see anything not past five feet from the campfire, she groaned, kicked it off to the side, and unrolled her sleeping bag, falling asleep almost as soon as she unraveled it.

She was suddenly woken up when a wolf howled just a few feet away. She bolted upright, ice running down her spine as she wondered if there was anything she could use to fight off such a beast. Icefyre struggled to get out of the sleeping bag, and half dragged, half jumped out of it, landing face first near the fire and the messy pile of her supplies.

One small branch in the fire hadn't burnt up totally, and some embers were still on in. She grabbed it, carefully blowing on the end to make it spark to life, before waving it in the direction that she heard the wolf. But nothing was there, even after staring for what felt like hours.

"It... it must have been my imagination," Icefyre said, turning around to put the half burnt stick away, when she came face to face with a wolf.

Well, it must have been a wolf: it's muzzle full of sharp fangs and triangular ears on his head couldn't have been from any other creature in the world. The animalistic pants and growls it made were very lupine indeed, as well as the long, swaying tail, and the pure white coat, with only two yellow eyes and long, viciously sharp claws on hand and footpaws to mar the perfectly snow-coloured creature.

But it was standing on it's two back legs, like it was part man. It's forearms were thick with muscles, as well as a thick muscular chest that were bigger than Icefyre's notably tiny breasts, and traps and back muscles that fought for space. The bipedal wolves abdomen rippled with muscles, the faint outline of a six pack visible. It's leg muscles, calves and hamstrings, twitched, pulsing with power.

This clearly wasn't an ordinary wolf, or even an anthro at that.

And that was before the fact that it stood at least nine feet tall, almost twice as tall as the little cheetah. And where she was sitting, she was almost face to face with the creature's package, showing that it was definitely a male. His sheathe easily rivaled a two litre pop bottle and two grapefruit sized testicles right behind it promised that he was very productive...

Icefyre's ears laid back, and a whimper escaped her throat.

"So, a little girl in my woods, all by herself?" the wolf growled, taking a step closer. "No, I can't have that. But... I sense something with you." He began to sniff at her.

Icefyre gave a little squeak, and tried to move backwards, but her legs were still wrapped in her sleeping bag, making it almost impossible to escape.

The wolf wasn't going to let her anyway, trapped or not, and with viciously sharp claws grabbed at the top of the sleeping bag, pulling Icefyre up off the ground. She flailed, trying to get out of the bag, but the wolf was too strong, easily ripping the sleeping bag. Icefyre tumbled out, and into the other's wolf's hand, gripping her tight, his claws digging into the cheetah's fur and even piercing her skin in several places, making her cry out in pain.

"Hush, little girl," the wolf snarled, making Icefyre instantly freeze and whimper, the harsh, domineering voice of the wolf putting her in her place.

"W-what do you want with me?" she finally managed to whimper out.

The wolf smirked, giving a little panting chuckle, making Icefyre shiver in the warm night air. "You will be perfect. I have big plans for you. Very big."

Before Icefyre could ask what he meant, the wolf bared its fangs, the teeth glistening in the little remains of a fire and the faint moonlight. Saliva dripped from his mouth, hot, humid air washing over her, the rancid smell nearly making her gag.

Then suddenly his jaws clamped on her neck and chest, plunging his sharpened fangs through the short fur and skin.

Icefyre tried to cry out, but the shock through her system was too much. She felt faint, woozy, but didn't fall only because of being gripped by the vicious claws several feet above the ground and the pincer like jaw around her upper body prevented her from so.

Almost as soon as he bit, the wolf let go, as did his hand, nearly dropping her on the ground like a broken ragdoll, Icefyre barely comatose.

"Rest now," the wolf commanded, though the cheetah wasn't going to be doing much else. The wolf turned away, his body shifting from its upright pose with several loud bone cracks until the nine foot tall bipedal wolf was now an equally large feral wolf. "Tomorrow you learn the truth."

Icefyre distantly heard the mumbles from the wolf, unable to fully comprehend the words but the meaning was... there, somewhere, before it silently vanished, disappearing into fog and mist, sending a shiver down her spine as she gasped, cool air racing through her throat and lungs.

Then Icefyre passed out.

<> <> <>

The cheetah groaned as the bright sun hit her eyes, making her stir and groan, and finally managed to pry open her eyes.

"W-what... what happened?" she mumbled, the events of last night finally playing through her mind. There was a giant wolf, who bit her...

She reached up to where she remembered the wolf had bit her, digging under her shirt to feel at the spot where the massive lupine had clamped his fangs down. But there was nothing: no holes, no blood, not even tenderness or a twinge of pain.

"Was it a dream?" she asked herself, before sitting up. She looked around: her tent was a mess, her sleeping bag was torn up and nowhere close to where she was lying on the ground, and everything was in complete disarray. Icefyre blinked.

"But... but... that's impossible!" she said, louder than she expected. Some birds on the edge of the clearing suddenly took flight, chirping angrily at Icefyre for disturbing them.

But the cheetah didn't pay attention, instead climbing up onto her feet, and looking around. She didn't leave it a mess like this, she was sure, but giant wolves don't just appear and bite young, small, female cheetahs.

Did they?

She took a couple steps, and nearly tripped. She looked down, planning to kick the stone or branch that was in the way, but realized that she had stepped into a massive paw print, three or four times her own foot, and compressed a couple inches into the ground.

Icefyre was freaked out now, and gave a tiny whimper, before bolting. She headed straight into the forest, in the direction where the forest ranger had told her his cabin was, crashing through branches and undergrowth, heading as straight as she could.

Half an hour later, nearly out of breath and panting heavily after running through the forest and tripping over branches and having fallen into a small creek, she arrived at a log cabin. Smoke curled out of the chimney at the back of the house, and a light glimmered in the window closest to her, so Icefyre went up to the door and knocked on it, slumping against the rough wood as exhaustion finally crept up on her.

The door opened, and Icefyre started to fall forward before she was caught in the arms of the deer.

"Whoa there," said Ranger Jack, wearing a button up shirt with short sleeves that showed off developed arms, and a pair of jeans. He propping her up and carefully walked her into his cabin, and sitting the tired, wet, dirty and disoriented Icefyre down in a chair near his desk. "Icefyre, right? What's wrong?"

"There... there was a monster, a giant... bit me, last night..." she panted.

"Okay, calm down there," Ranger Jack said, grabbing a blanket from the other room that he draped across her shoulders, and putting a cup of coffee into her hand. She took a shaky sip of the hot black liquid.

"Okay, easy there," Ranger Jack said, pulling the other chair from behind the desk and sitting down in it across from Icefyre. "Take a moment, collect yourself, and tell me what happened."

Icefyre took a bigger drink of the coffee, before she took a deep breath and told the ranger the story of what happened.

"So... I ran here. I didn't know what was going on. Is this a dream?" Icefyre said, looking at the smooth wood floor.

Ranger Jack shook his head. "Maybe. I don't know. But you look dead tired. Ranger Jack shrugged. "Today is my day off, so you are free to stay here, and get a good rest. We can talk about it more later"

Icefyre yawned. She was a bit tired... and the Pope was a bit Catholic.

"I could use a nap," Icefyre admitted.

Ranger Jack lead Icefyre to his room in the back of the cabin, and got the cheetah comfortable on the bed. She fell asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow, so the ranger pulled the blind over the window, and left the room.

The stag waited about half an hour in his little living area, drinking from a cup of coffee and playing over the story that Icefyre told him in his head. He frowned, considering who or what may have done this...

"No... no!" he muttered, standing up.

He walked to the front of the cabin, and to the radio near his desk. He turned it on, and began to flip some switches, before grabbing the microphone and pushing the button.

"Ranger Station Alpha, this is Ranger Station Beta. Come in, over."

Ranger Jack shook his head. After turning all the other rangers into werewolves, Vick then decreed that they change their call signs, if just to reinforce their new position.

The radio crackled to life. "This is Ranger Station Alpha, reading you Beta, what's up? Isn't today your day off? Over."

Jack pushed the button. "Vick, what the hell did you do last night?"

There was a pause. "What are you talking about?"

"I have a female camper here that said a werewolf attacked and bit her. What the hell? Why did you do that?"

"I didn't do any such thing," Vick replied back.

"How can I believe you? You turned all of us, and now you are going after tourists? Why the hell would you do that?"

"I was in town at my parent's place," the bear growled over the staticky radio. "Call them if you are so curious, Mister Detective. But I wasn't in the park. Maybe you better go talk to the rest of the pack. But you better remember your place here. Got it? Alpha Station out."

Ranger Jack looked at the microphone for a long moment, before setting it down. No, he knew well enough that no one else would have done it. And Ranger Jack was sure that Vick was telling the truth...

"Then what did this?"

"What did what?"

Ranger Jack spun around, to see Icefyre poking her head out of the bedroom.

"Uh, nothing," Ranger Jack said, forcing a smile. "Just checking up on my co-workers."

"Uh huh," Icefyre said, not totally convinced.

"Just go lay down for a bit. I'll get you up for lunch, okay?"

Icefyre yawned, then shrugged and closed the door and went back to bed.

Ranger Jack eventually made a lunch for the two over his wood-burning stove at the back of his cabin, and woke up the cheetah around 2 in the afternoon. Icefyre, who hadn't eaten since the small meal the night before, greedily devoured whatever the deer had made: cooked eggs, ham sandwiches, fried potatoes, leftover chicken that was in the fridge, a massive salad, several apples, and an entire box of granola bars. Her stomach had turned into a yawning chasm, and even all that didn't fill her up.

"That's not a good sign," Ranger Jack admitted, who only stuck to a small plate of salad.

"What are you talking about?" Icefyre said, her mouth full of eggs and toast.

"Well..." Ranger Jack started, before he sighed. "Okay, it's really not worth hiding anymore."

"What?" Icefyre asked.

"What happened to you last night? It's real. You were attacked by a giant wolf."

There was a pause, before Icefyre snorted and started to laugh. "You have to be joking! Werewolves are only in movies and books! They aren't real."

The cheetah stared at the deer, waiting for him to crack up at the joke. But he didn't.

"The body needs a lot of energy for the first transformation," Ranger Jack continued. "Those that have been transformed seem to eat a lot of food in the hours before."

Icefyre blinked, and even used a finger to scratch out her ear to make sure she heard right. "Wait, transformation? You can't be serious."

"It's the truth," Ranger Jack said, standing up from his chair. "There are giant wolves in this park. Giant werewolves, in fact."

"Werewolves?!" Icefang exclaimed, staring at the deer in shock. "So... like..."

"Yep. You've been infected with lycanthropy. You are a werewolf now as well."

Icefyre near fell down, but instead just slouched in the handmade chair. "But... like... I didn't change, did I?"

"No, it takes some practice to do it. Doesn't require a full moon to change, though it's usually easier to do so then than any other time." Ranger Jack said. "But the first transformation only happens 24 hours after you had been bit."

Icefyre blinked, then looked up. "Wait... how do you know this?"

Ranger Jack shook his head, then he started to undo the buttons on his shirt and taking it off, showing off a well built chest and six pack etched over his abdomen. He looked at his right hand, clenching the fingers together. It began to twitch, vibrate even, and began to grow larger, the fist increasing in size as the grey hairs pushing out through the shorter brown fur, and he winced as bones began to crack and reshape themselves on his arm.

"Because I'm one as well," the ranger said, opening his hand to show off massive claws to Icefyre where small hooves once had been.

The cheetah leapt up from her chair, knocking it over and making the table jump, dishes and food crashing to the floor. She raced through the door to the front of the cabin, and tried to get to the door leading outside, but Ranger Jack, in a blink of an eye, beat her, and blocked the door.

"No! Let me out of here!" she screamed, skidding to a halt before the deer-turned werewolf, before backing up, tripping over a rug on the floor, and crashed to the floor. "I... I don't want this!"

"Neither did I," Ranger Jack said, a low growl creeping into his voice as he approached the cheetah, who kept scooching back along the floor to get away from Ranger Jack, until her back ran up against the wall to the living area. "But listen... you need help. I can help you. I want to help you."

"No! No! Get away from me!" she screamed, looking around her in panic at the transforming deer, before she saw a gun propped up behind the desk near a big radio. She leapt up, grabbed it, and pointed it at Jack.

"Don't come any closer!" she bellowed, her shaky hands trying to hold the gun.

"Icefyre, listen," Ranger Jack said, taking another step.

"I mean it! I will shoot!"

"Icefyre..." he stepped closer.

BLAM!

Icefyre opened her eyes, not realizing that she had pulled the trigger and looked away until she opened her eyes. The gunshot echoed through the tiny cabin, deafening Icefyre, and making her drop the gun to grab her ringing ears.

Ranger Jack looked down, a little red hole in his right breast. He blinked, reaching his unchanged hand to the spot, touching it and wincing in pain, before holding his hoofed fingers up to show blood dripping off it onto the floor.

"That hurt," Ranger Jack remarked. He grunted and gasped, doubling over in pain. But the gunshot wound began to stitch itself closed, the blood vanishing from his fur. IN it's place, grey furs popped out, but unlike his other arm, it didn't start spreading all over his body. Just one little grey island in a sea of brown.

"What... what?"

"Bullets can't kill me. Well, silver ones can, but there aren't any in this park. Most likely not in a hundred miles," Ranger Jack said, but he maintained his distance from Icefyre this time. "But look... just listen to me, okay?"

Icefyre looked to the door, to the window, to the other room, and realized that she was trapped. She wasn't going to get out of here before the werewolf ranger could stop her.

Icefyre looked up, fear in her eyes as Ranger Jack stood up again, the spot where she shot him fully healed. "O-okay..."

Ranger Jack sat on his desk. "So, you know the other Ranger, right?"

"Ranger... Vick, right? The bear?"

"Yes. Well, I'm pretty certain he is the one that bit you last night. He denies it, but I think it was him. I can't think of anyone else that would have wanted it."

"It wasn't you?"

"No. I'm not going to force other people to be part of this pack. I don't know if I would do it even if someone else wanted me to. But Vick..."

"But... how? How did he know where I was?"

"Did you have a campfire? Did you leave it burning?"

"Maybe... I can't remember," Icefyre said.

"Well, that's most likely how he found you. Might have traced your scent as well, but the fire is the easiest way.

"So that's why you told me to put it out?" Icefyre said.

"Yep. There are a dozen or so other Rangers throughout the park, all of them werewolves as well. Just so happens that Vick was the first one, and basically used it to build his own little 'pack,' with himself as the alpha male. It was only this spring when he... changed."

"So... he want's me as part of of the pack as well? Why?"

"My guess? He wants to grow the pack."

"So? He starts to bite the tourists that show up?" Icefyre asked. "Pretty soon that will lead to a lot of questions."

"I think it's more because you are a female. And... well, I'll let you draw your own conclusion."

Icefyre's eyes went wide. "That fucker... he basically wants me as a baby maker?"

"Pupmaker, I guess," Ranger Jack said, which got a glare from the cheetah. "But I don't think it would work out."

"What do you mean?" Icefyre asked.

"There are legends of werewolves that lived in this park centuries ago, when the whole area was a sacred spot for the Indian tribes of the area. But they were all male. No stories or legends of a female werewolf at all. So, either the female wolves were never around, or maybe it's males only. So, for all we know, you are immune, and can go home and nothing will happen."

"We can only hope," Icefyre said. "But how did this happen? How did Vick become one? How did you all become werewolves?"

"I don't know exactly how he transformed, but it would be somewhere in the park," Ranger Jack said, pointing to the large map of the park on the wall near his desk. "Some amulet, magic cave, mystical mountain peak that he stood in the right spot at the right time of the year... I don't know. But he transformed into a werewolf, and then transformed the rest of us as well."

"Why don't you gang up on him? Stop him from doing this?"

Ranger Jack shook his head. "I tried. Lord knows I tried. But he's a lot bigger and stronger than me, and while I might be a bit smarter, brute force is really the only way to fight him. I would be the beta, per say. I think it was something to do with the order we were all transformed, as I was the first one after Vick."

Icefyre looked at the ranger, the deer with one over muscles grey arm with claws. He looked like one of those toys with the detachable limbs that allowed kids to make their own weird hybrids.

"So, I might be a werewolf, but I might not be, right?" Icefyre said. Ranger Jack nodded.

"How do we find out?"

"Well, the first time I changed was a full day after I was bitten. So tonight, we'd find out if you transform or not," Ranger Jack said. "Your body spends the day preparing itself, because it will be painful, as your entire body is virtually torn apart and rebuilt, but when it's done, there is no feeling like it: rejuvenating, powerful, you feel like you can take on the world... Transforming back into normal is usually less painful, but almost like a let down, an anti-climax to the feeling you had before. But after that first time, and with some practice, you can control the changes, and transform at your own will."

"But I really don't want to," Icefyre said. "I have a life, a home, a job... I would never be able to show my face in civilization again if I suddenly change into a werewolf whenever."

"You might not have a choice," Ranger Jack said, sighing. "I wish it didn't come to this, but we just have to hope for the best, really."

<> <> <>

For the rest of the day, Ranger Jack did his best to answer the questions that Icefyre had about werewolves, how they changed, what it was like, what they ate, and any other question that she could think of. Sometime during it, Icefyre couldn't remember when, but the arm that he had changed to show off his ability had returned to normal. Maybe turning back was a less painful, more gradual process. But something nagged at Icefyre, about why would she be transformed. Was she really to be the bitch for the male werewolves? She had never really heard a story of female werewolves, though, then again, maybe no one bothered to write about them.

By supper time, and another large meal of soup and hamburgers and whatever else Ranger Jack could make to feed Icefyre, the cheetah felt somewhat resigned to the whole thing, though the anxiety was mostly gone.

After eating her sixth burger and draining her fourth bowl of mushroom soup, Ranger Jack looked at the clock on the wall. "Well, it's almost sundown. I don't know when you were bit, but it could be anytime now."

Icefyre set the bowl down, licking the last bit of the creaminess around her lips, then let out a window rattling burp. Ranger Jack spun around, and the cheetah could only give a nervous chuckle in response.

They left the cabin, the deer in his ranger uniform, and Icefyre with a borrowed button up shirt. Icefyre was about to ask Jack earlier why he had no t-shirts, but the large antlers on his head quickly put that question out of her head.

They headed toward her camp site through the darkening forest. Except for their breaths, the soft crunch of twigs and leaves under hoof and shoe, the soft breeze through the trees, and the hooting of owls, it was silent in the forest. It put Icefyre on edge, nervousness starting to creep into her consciousness, the unknown, darkening forest making her jump and squeak as she say things around her.

But they got to the clearing in about half the time that it took Icefyre to flee to the Ranger's cabin earlier: the tent and backpack and sleeping bag and other utensils and supplies was right were Icefyre had left it.

Jack suddenly stopped, a low growl coming from his lips, then he suddenly spun on his heel, making Icefyre, who was following behind, yip and dive to the ground, fearing that the werewolf deer was going to now tear her apart, to make her disappear...

But the deer was staring beyond where Icefyre was. "Vick," he growled

The bear pushed his way out of the trees, casually strolling into the meadow as if he owned the place. Now that he was standing and not in the little box by the road, Icefyre could see just how big the bear was, at least a foot taller than the six foot something Jack, and built like a refrigerator, with a thick gut that didn't mean he was lazy, but stronger with a layer of fat to show he worked out and enjoyed his food as well.

The bear growled in response. "Jack." he looked down at Icefyre. "I see you have our guest here, no doubt pouring thoughts of how I may have bit her."

Jack straightened his back. "I know you, Vick. You've always wanted even the tiniest sliver of power. Hell, until this happened, you were just a grunt like the rest of us rangers."

"Yes, but I got promoted," Vick replied, with a smirk, striding forward. "And you should remember that, right, Beta?" He poked his finger into Jack's chest, making the ranger stumble backwards, tripping over Icefyre's backpack.

He turned to Icefyre. "Ma'am, I can tell you for certain that I was not there last night. I wasn't even in the park, but in Jackson, the town you passed through on the way here."

Vick then walked over to Jack. "If anything, I wonder if you should be asking your friend here, if he had done it."

Jack stood up and glared at Vick. "Like hell I would! You know that-"

Vick snarled, showing off his fangs, his mouth having lengthened, with grey fur starting to appear. "Shut up! Don't interrupt your Alpha!" He turned back to the now terrified Icefyre. "Ma'am, consider it. He was the only one to know where you were, right? Maybe lead you to this spot yourself? How else would anyone know you are here, in hundreds of square miles of forest and hills?"

"But... you found me from my fire..."

Vick snorted. "Fire? Really?" turning to Jack. "Is your smell going on you Beta?" he asked. His arm suddenly grew thicker, turning a mottled grey and black, before he elbowed Jack's chest and knocking the deer onto his knees and the air out of his lungs before he could respond. But grey fur was starting to grow over his body, and seems began to tear as he bulked up.

The bear turned back to Icefyre, his transformation about a quarter complete: his face some weird hybrid mixture of bear and wolf, but both his arms having bulged out, tearing the sleeves of his shirt, and his legs having thickened out. Was be maybe a few inches taller as well? "I think it's clear that Jack has something up his sleeves, now doesn't he?"

Icefyre looked at Jack, confusion on her face. Jack was at about the same stage as Vick, about a quarter or even a third changed to his werewolf form.

But she could barely focus on the changing rangers. Her blood was heating up, and a dull ache starting to grow through her body.

"No! I didn't do it!" Jack said, suddenly on his feet. Both of his majestic antlers clattered to the ground, his ears growing larger and more lupine like as his muzzle stretched out, his formerly herbivore teeth growing longer and sharper, better suited for flesh than flowers.

"Well, where is your alibi?" Vick asked, his face now complete and his shoulders growing thicker, his feet tearing through the leather of his boots and showing off massive black claws. "I told you mine. How about yours?"

"I was at home," Jack replied, wincing as he felt his short tail suddenly push out longer.

Vick rolled his eyes. "Out here, in the middle of the woods, by yourself. Not exactly the strongest ground to stand on, now is it?"

"Well at least I fucking keep my teeth to myself!" Jack shouted. Icefyre winced, her ears feeling more sensitive than normal.

Vick placed his hand on his heart, acting wounded. "Oh my! Someone appears to not like the power they had been given, huh? The greatness of lycanthropy! The strength, the power!" As if to prove it, he clutched at his shirt, and with a vicious tug tore the fabric off, showing not a musclegut belly from before, but a six pack and massive pecs all grey with some white reaching from his neck down to his pants that were still valiantly clinging on. He gave a flex of his bicep, allowing veins to bulge out from under his skin and fur. His other hand dropped the rags that was in his hands, and began to undo his belt, which was starting to grow tight over his growing belly, though more from the force of growing muscle than fat.

"Because I didn't fucking want it! None of us did!" Jack shouted again, his body shaking in barely suppressed rage as his own shirt began to rip and tear, showing off his muscular upper body, only somewhat smaller and less developed than the massive bear-turned-werewolf.

"Because you are too closed minded. I opened it for you! You, of all people, my Beta, should be thankful!"

"And be stuck under you for the rest of my life," Jack growled.

Vick snarled in response, and tackled the other werewolf, easily pinning the smaller beta on the ground. Another rip, and his pants were torn to shreds, showing off the thick calves and legs, and the stretched and worn jockstrap that framed his butt and held back to the bulging package, his thick sheath already pushing the fabric out and his canine cock beginning to grow from it's fuzzy hiding place.

Vick glanced down, and with a grin flipped Jack over onto his belly, slamming him into the ground with the force to break bones... had Jack not been a werewolf as well. He dug his claws into Jack's backside, making the former deer snarl in pain. Vick easily dug his sharp claws in, and ripped the seat of Jack's jeans off, and tearing at the underwear that he had been wearing, showing off the smaller werewolf's ass.

"Maybe I should just stick you under me," Vick growled into Jack's ear, a deep, evil chuckle coming from his lips. Jack began to struggle again as he realized what Vick was talking about, trying to get Vick off his back.

But the bigger Alpha wasn't going anywhere, instead shoving his half hard cock straight into Jack's ass, making him howl in pain as his rear was stretched over the massive, and still growing, werewolf cock, as Vick began to thrust in and out of Jack's rear.

Icefyre had long since stopped paying attention to the argument between the two werewolves. She was in mind numbing pain, her entire body screaming at her. Every bone, every muscle was on fire, and she couldn't comprehend it all anymore. She squeezed her eyes shut, begging, hoping the agony would go away

Then she saw the wolf from last night, in her mind. It looked more mysterious, misty, but also glowing and perfect.

Now, you learn the truth.

Then the dam broke. The pain clicked off in an instant, as if she had suddenly been injected with morphine, numbing her to all the pain in the world.

This forest, this mountain, is my land.

Vick, his cock inside Jack, looked over his shoulder to see the small cheetah begin to twitch and vibrate, the loud cracking of bones and tearing of flesh and muscles filling the clearing as her body began to grow and morph, growing taller, longer and bigger all at once. Her legs pushed out longer, her arms flexing and stretching, her muzzle growing longer.

I have lived here since time immemorial, protecting the mountain and the forest, the people that lived here. The Gift.

There was a loud crack, followed by a second a moment later, as her legs shifted from her plantigrade stance to one more suited for a wild animal, with her knee bending upwards, and her ankle bending backwards into a digitigrade position.

The people that lived here long ago respected me, and gave thanks for the Gift I gave them: the Gift only a few at a time deserved. When my body became weary, I would merge with one that deserved the Gift, the greatest honour I could bestow.

Icefyre's body began to crack again, her spine, her ribcage, her pelvis, and every other bone snapping, growing, and bending themselves for the new werewolf. Where before she may have only brushed past five foot four, now her body was taller than even Vick, and seemed to keep stretching and lengthening, her clothes stretching and ripping as she grew bigger.

But then my people vanished. Replaced by greedy, thieving, murdering beings that looked like my people, but where not: They did not deserve the Gift. So I slumbered for a long time.

Thick black claws pushed from her toes and her hands, longer than any her cheetah self would have had. Little drops of blood came with each claw, and then the emergence of white fur.

Then I was abruptly awoken from my slumber by the one you see before you.

The long white fur began to grow up over her arms and legs, replacing the short dull yellow and black spotted fur that had covered her body and stretched with her frame as she grew bigger, now closing in on ten feet tall, muscles on her arms, legs, back, abdomen and neck began to push outward: growing past the male model sized Jack, the bodybuilder built Vick, and into Greek Pantheon perfection.

I assumed that he was one of my old people, the ones that worshiped me before, as he followed the instructions to awaken me. I gave him the Gift, as I promised the one to awaken me.

The fur crossed over from her shoulders to her chest. There was a rip, then another, and another, as first the shirt she borrowed from Jack was torn apart. The small bra that she wore began to stretch as well, before it snapped, flinging off toward the other two werewolves. But her bust didn't get larger, though her chest did: it began to flatten out, until they were but two massive slabs of muscle.

But he was a charlatan.

Then her dirty pants burst, the white fur crawling over her body making her body reject the clothing from her frame. The feminine panties she wore began to stretch as her hips grew bigger, stretching and bending, but her groin was changing: her folds began to meld together, her clitorous pushing out, lengthening and growing into a tip as it turned red. More white fur bunched around the base of her growing cock, forming a thick sheath, before stretching down and bulging out with a pair of testicles hanging below, growing thicker and heavier as her cock grew past the size Vick had started raping Jack at, and soon grew to double that size as the rest of her body pushed beyond fifteen feet.

He abused the Gift, thought he was all powerful, a deity in his own right. He turned all the others that lived in the forest, though they were not willing, nor ready.

Icefyre, no longer female, was washed over in the wave of white, totally replacing the last markings of her cheetah form. His long cheetah tail barely lost any length, instead bulging out with more white hair to match her new dimensions, then began to grow with him. Icefyre's muzzle pushed out, her fangs growing sharper and bigger.

But you were ready. You were ready for the Gift. I didn't have time to prepare you for the Gift, as my body was near death. I'm greatly sorry for it, and I hope you will understand.

His ears grew longer and triangle shaped, as his short black hair slowly shifted to grey then bleached even more to white. Her growth stopped at fifty feet tall, one paw nearly to the trees around the clearing, her ears flicking against the trees on the other side.

But to the matter at hand. It is unfortunate for the others, but they will not be punished. But the one that abused the Gift, that used it for his own ends, he must be punished. He will be punished.

Icefyre opened his eyes. His eyes had turned all yellow, except for a black iris.

You are now me.

Icefyre took a deep breath.

I am now you.

Icefyre rolled over, nearly landing on top of Vick and Jack. Vick, his cock having wilted in the face of Icefyre's change and growth, yipped and backed away from the former deer, who was in too much pain to move.

Let our thoughts, our actions, be one.

Icefyre pushed himself up onto all fours, and then up onto his knees.

Let us protect this forest, this mountain, for as long as we can, until another is worthy.

Icefyre stood up, towering over the closest trees. He looked up. A full moon.

Let us recreate our people here at this place.

Icefyre looked around: Giant Wolf Mountain soared in the distance, it's tip shrouded in clouds that hung far, far above where he stood. The wind brushed against his fur, his body.

This felt... right. Perfect.

Let us be free!

Icefyre inhaled, and let out a long, loud, howl that echoed all over the forest, off the mountain, and into the valleys and hills. People in Jackson, twenty miles away, were suddenly awoken by the loud howl of a wolf that sounded like it was right out their windows, but distant at the same time.

When Icefyre's howl ended, other howls, smaller, shorter, and further away, answered in response: the other rangers that Vick had forcibly transformed, recognized their new Alpha.

The giant wolf turned around, and looked down at Vick.

"Charlatan," he boomed, his growl echoing through the forest.

Vick, not even a third of the size of the massive werewolf, turned and sprinted to the forest.

Icefyre snarled, lifting up a foot and stomping it on the fleeing wolf. The massive paw knocked down Vick, with just a couple feet poking out one end, and his head, face down in the dirt and grass, barely stuck out at the other end.

Icefyre pushed down on the smaller werewolf as he brought his other foot closer. Vick screamed in pain as his body was pushed into the ground, though his werewolf body strained and bent, but would not break.

Icefyre leaned down. "You have taken the Gift, and abused it," he intoned, the former cheetah's deep voice making the entire forest vibrate.

"I...I...aaahhh!" Vick cried out as Icefyre pushed his foot down again.

"Silence! Your deeds are already clear. The punishment for this is erasure." The images of what Vic had done, all the people he had transformed, of the way he used it to get rid of the former head ranger, and how he came to control the park was clear to Icefyre, provided by the being that had merged with the former cheetah.

Vick was whimpering like a little puppy now. "Fine, take it away! I'll leave! I'll go away, never come back. Never do anything again!"

Icefyre removed his foot from the whimpering werewolf, and then grabbing him from the deep rut Icefyre's paw had pushed into the ground, and lifting Vic into the air as Icefyre stood up.

"We cannot allow that. The Gift cannot be taken away. The person with the Gift that abused it must be erased," Icefyre growled, using the knowledge of the deity of the forest to pronounce the punishment.

Vic blinked for a moment, then it hit him. "No! No! I will change! I will be your servant! Your bitch! Anything you want! No!"

Icefyre lifted Vic high into the air, then opened his mouth, showing the rows of shiny, saliva slickened teeth, the long pink tongue, and the long tube that lead to his stomach. Hot, humid air rushed past Vic's face and body, with a hint of hamburgers and mushroom soup.

Then Icefyre let go.

Vic screamed as he dropped, before landing on the tongue. Icefyre's mouth snapped shut, locking the former alpha into the giant wolf's mouth. There was a moment when Vic's howls and cries could be heard as Icefyre's tongue rolled over the meal, pushing it against the sides of his mouth, savoring the taste of Vic. He could feel his cock, which had been half hard since it transformed, begin to lengthen and harden as he played with his meal.

Icefyre reached down, grabbing hold of the ten foot long cock,, the other the big balls that hung below, while still sloshing the werewolf in his mouth. The sensitive flesh, the heavy balls that now hung between his legs, and the electric shocks that raced through his body from rubbing and stroking the massive length, made Icefyre's toes curl into the ground, digging massive furrows with his sharp claws. It barely took anything before his back arched and his hip bucked, and long white shots of sparkling cum rocketed out of his cock, arcing over the trees and landing with a wet splat, followed by another, then another, and another. As he continued to Cum, Icefyre tilted his head back, and with a loud gulp, swallowed Vic.

His orgasm finally subsided, the rush of testosterone that flooded his body finally abating, and with a sigh, he licked his lips, savoring his first jack off as a male werewolf, and his first meal. Icefyre looked down, to see Jack still sitting amongst the ruined equipment of Icefyre's former life. Icefyre took a step toward Jack, and in a blink of an eye shrunk down to the same height as the deer-werewolf.

"I-Icefyre?" Jack asked, whimpering as his tail tucked between his legs.

"Yes, that's me," Icefyre said. "And the one that transformed me, the spirit of the Mountain, and the giver of the Gift."

Jack shook his head. "I... I thought..."

Icefyre leaned down, pushing a finger against Jack's nose. "It's a long story. I will explain it later," he said, giving a small smile, before licking Jack's face.

The soreness in his rear instantly faded after the lick, making Jack blink in surprise. Icefyre only winked, and then ran into the forest, seemingly vanishing into the trees.

Jack sighed as he pushed open the door to his cabin, hanging his hat on the coat hook by the door. It had been three weeks since the craziness with Icefyre showing up in the park. He already had dealt with the search parties that had been organized when both the head ranger and a camper in the park vanished. But without much evidence besides some ripped clothing at a camping site, for all everyone knew they just... vanished. Which, in a sense, they did.

And now that he was the head ranger of the park, he worked even more than he did before. But with the reports of a massive white wolf in the park spreading around the internet, more people than ever was showing up.

He sighed, before walking over to his desk to fill out some reports, his hoofed finger's clacking away on the computer he reluctantly had installed in his office at last.

There was a crash in the kitchen when he was just finishing up his daily log, making his ears perk. There was a small rumble on the floor, followed by another crash.

Jack sighed and shook his head, pushing himself off his chair and through the door into the kitchen.

Icefyre, with a hamburger in his mouth, and another in his hand, looked sheepishly at the deer, a plate smashed on the floor.

"Sorry... was hungry," the white wolf said, gulping down the burger.

"Wild animals not enough for you?" Jack remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, spirits really don't eat," Icefyre replied. "But I do like hamburgers."

Jack chuckled, before taking off his shirt and pants, and walking to his bedroom, Icefyre following him behind.

"I have to say, I don't miss clothes," Icefyre said, looking down at his muscular body, and the thick white sheathe and heavy balls that hung below. Already a tip of red was poking out of the fuzzy home of his cock. It still felt weird: his cock. He was a his now, not a her. It still seemed weird, even after all this time.

The bed creaked, and Icefyre looked up to see the grey, eight-foot tall werewolf already on his bed, idly stroking his own cock, which was pretty impressive at about a foot long, though still smaller than Icefyre's 18 inch member.

"Going to join me?"

Icefyre playfully jumped into bed, making the springs groan as the even bigger white wolf added his weight, licking at Jack's face before they locked into a kiss.

Icefyre's cock grew hard, and he began to rub it along Jack's own member as they continued to kiss.

Finally Jack pulled away from the kiss, panting heavily, before spreading his legs more. "Icefyre... could you..."

The white wolf paused. "Really? I thought you weren't up for that? You know, after..."

Jack gave a nervous chuckle. "Well... I have been practicing."

Icefyre raised an eyebrow, then chuckled. "Okay, but only if you want to."

The white wolf dragged his cock along Jack's one last time, bending down to lick at his own cock until the tip was pointed at Jack's rear. He gently pushed it forward, the pointed, saliva lubed tip entering Jack's ass.

Jack winced, but then took several breaths to relax. Icefyre began to press forward again, this time without much resistance. Icefyre pushed in all the way to his knot, before pulling out part way, and thrusting in again.

"Oh man... you are tight," Icefyre said.

"I didn't... say that I was... perfect for this," Jack grunted between thrusts.

Icefyre shifted, licking at Jack's muzzle again as he humped into the deer werewolf's ass, steadily increasing in rhythm.

"You have... gotten good... at this..." Jack said, gasping as the thick, bulbous knot kept bumping against his ass, begging to enter.

"Must be instinct," Icefyre grunted, starting to pant heavily before leaning forward and biting down on Jack's neck.

Jack gasped at the bite, Icefyre's hips slamming against his tight ass harder and harder, faster and faster before POP! The thick red knot entered.

Icefyre began to push in, then give a small tug, whimpering between pants, before letting go of his bite and giving a howl that rattled the windows in the cabin and thrusting in one last time.

Thick ropes of wolf spunk flooded Jack's ass, the heat and feeling of being filled making him cum himself, his cock spasming and shooting cum that seemed to blend in with Icefyre's coat, with more landing on Jack's grey fur instead and standing out more.

After several long minutes, Icefyre collapsed, landing on the mess of cum on their stomachs, his orgasm done, but his knot having not let go yet.

Icefyre wearily lifted his head up. "Had I known that it was this hard for guys to have sex, I don't know if I would have transformed."

Jack snorted. "I don't think you had much of a choice."

Icefyre licked at Jack's nose. "That's not the point."

"So you'll let me try you next time then?" Jack said, yawning.

"We'll see," Icefyre chuckled, but Jack had already dozed off.
