The Canatbo tribe had nearly as many rituals and traditions as they had members. A few thousand people living on an island just off the coast of the mainland. Hundreds of wood and straw huts were built on the gentle slopes of the island and smoke rose from the buildings as food was prepared for that afternoon's activities.

The tribal people celebrated the changing of seasons, the comings of age, the union of two members, the passing of loved ones, and today's ceremony was for an Eclipse. In a few hours the moon would begin moving directly into the path of the sun, blocking out its light little by little until the entire sun was blocked from view. It was a rare treat for the islanders, and the last time it happened was well outside the lifespan of most of their members.

Tobin was one of the younger members of the tribe, just of age, and he was spending the afternoon lounging on the beach on a woven mat in the warm sun. Enough people were working on preparations and he knew he'd only get in the way, so the bat reclined on his mat, arms spread to either side to stretch out the webbed membrane between the phalanges of his wings.

The brown bat stared out across the ocean, watching as waves lapped the sandy, gold shore. He could hear the sounds of people yelling at one another, laughing, and children playing up along the rising slope of the village behind him. It and the waves breaking against the shore were comforting to listen to and he closed his eyes to bask in the warm sun for a while longer. He'd have plenty of time before the eclipse happened.

Tobin hadn't quite drifted off to sleep, though when a shadow fell across his face it took him a few seconds to realize. He opened his eyes in a moment's panic, fearing that the event was already underway, and sat bolt upright. In front of him, a sandy, brown otter chuckled and shook his head. "What, did I scare you?"

The bat relaxed and leaned back down against the mat, looking up at his friend, Sora. The otter was a little younger than he was, thinner, and taller. His hair, like Tobin's, had been cut short, but was a light blond unlike Tobin's black. "No," the bat protested. "I was just... caught off guard," he said, smiling up at the naked otter.

It wasn't uncommon for members of the tribe to go about naked, especially when the weather was this warm. Their culture was open, accepting, and curious by nature. Tobin and Sora, especially, had been curious and explorative when growing up and learned many different ways to have fun with each other.

Sora stepped forward and knelt on the edge of the mat, placing his paws on the bat's knees and smiling affectionately. "I was told you were slacking off out here on the shore, and I thought I would come bother you.'

"I wasn't slacking off," Tobin replied, lying back on the mat again, knees bent as he peered between them to the otter.

The otter pushed Tobin's legs down against the mat and gently climbed up into his lap, their short, brown fur pressed to one another, muzzles an inch apart. "You know the eclipse is in an hour, right?" Sora said, paws resting over Tobin's chest and drumming lightly on his ribs.

Sora and he had been close growing up together, and Tobin just slipped his arms around the otter's waist, claws lightly teasing against his skin. "I know. I thought I'd relax and stay out of the way."

"Tch, sure. You just don't want to have to do any of the set up," the otter teased, brushing his muzzle along Tobin's and giving him a playful nibble. "I'm going to dance during the eclipse. You'll watch, right?"

Tobin nodded and his paws squeezed the otter to his chest. "Yeah, of course I'll watch you dance. I always like watching," he said, pulling his paws back until he could slip them between their chests and squeeze Sora's paws.

Despite their closeness and affection for each other, they weren't mates. Both had considered it, but neither had ever brought it up with the other, afraid of causing any tension between them. Their foreheads pressed together, eyes closed, and Sora snuck a quick kiss to the bat's lips before clambering up off of him.

"Well, I'm going to go get ready, then. I'll be by the small pool on the second ring. See you there?" he asked, lips curled up at the sides.

"Definitely," Tobin agreed, eyes wandering down the otter's body, taking note of the growing arousal between Sora's legs before the otter could hurry off.

Tobin rolled up his mat and started back up to the village, walking up the gentle slope through the first ring of huts. There were four rings going up the island, and the bottom ring was primarily used as storage. The second and third rings were where the majority of the village resided, with the fourth being where the elders of the village stayed. Both Tobin and Sora lived on the second ring along where a river cut through the trees and huts, and Tobin ducked back into his own to put his mat away before heading over to the small pool Sora had mentioned.

The otter was sitting on a small stool with both his younger brothers hovering around him, little clay bowls in their paws filled with colorful paints. They were all talking and laughing together while the younger otters traced swirling patterns of blue and green dye over Sora's fur in preparation for his performance. Sora saw the bat approaching and beamed wide, his brothers following his gaze and whispering something in each other's ears.

Tobin's face heated up, wondering what they were talking about. "Almost ready?" he asked, walking up to the younger otters and ruffling their hair.

Sora looked down at himself and then to his brothers, nodding to them. They giggled and hopped up off the ground and ran back along toward their hut, glancing back at the pair. Sora smiled after them and stood up, raising his arms and turning slowly. "Mm, what do you think?" he asked, nodding to the tribal markings over his body.

The bat's eyes were drawn down his chest in a line of green that ended just above his soft, uncut shaft. A line of blue continued from there down to the tip. "I... Yeah, it looks pretty good," he said with a shy chuckle.

The otter took notice of the bat's gaze and wiggled his hips back and forth, making his flaccid length jiggle around. "You know that paint won't taste very good," he teased, reaching out and putting a paw on the bat's chest.

Tobin's face flushed red under his brown cheeks and he let out a laugh, looking away. "Well, we can always wash it off," he suggested, nodding to the small pool of crystal water behind the otter.

Sora glanced back, fingers scritching through Tobin's chest. "Hmm, maybe after the eclipse," he said, turning back to the otter and leaning in to give him a soft kiss.

Tobin pressed into that kiss and relaxed, though his cheeks were still red. Their foreheads pressed together afterwards and he sighed contently. "Mmm, that'd be fun."

"And I'll get to tease you for a bit, which is always a plus," Sora whispered as he leaned forward to the large, brown ears. The paw on Tobin's chest slid down until it closed around the bat's half-hard shaft, squeezing gently.

The bat tensed and his paws gripped at Sora's hips, claws digging in. "A-ah! Hey!" he hissed, laughing under his breath and quickly shoving one of his paws between them to get at the otter's length.

Sora kissed him again, his tongue sliding forward just enough to tease the bat's lips before he pulled away, breaking the kiss and their close embrace. "Be good," he said, taking a step back to the pool and sitting on the rock, paws covering his lap.

Tobin was breathing a bit quicker than he had been a few minutes ago and a quick glance down showed him just how aroused a simple touch and kiss from the otter could make him. He surreptitiously covered himself with his own paws and looked back over his shoulder before clearing his throat. "I'll be good," he said, nodding a few times to himself.

"Good," Sora said, sighing contently. "Eclipse should start soon," he said, nodding over to a little sun viewer they'd made out of some hide. The sun shone through the small hole in a narrow crescent of light and any moment it would disappear completely. "You ready?"

Tobin nodded and gave the otter a thumbs up as he took a seat one of the small mats that had been set out for people to sit and watch. Sora's brothers rushed back over to grab seats and other members of the tribe started to appear, mostly those around their age, though a few adults took resident in the back. There were lots of little events and performances going on all over the island, throughout the village, and Tobin wished he could have seen them all.

Sora stood just in front of the small pool of water, paws holding onto two leather straps that hung down almost to the ground. At the end were two big, black balls made of some stone material that had been soaked. He bowed his head, extended his arms out to the side, and waited.

One moment, the sun was nearly directly overhead, and the next, the moon covered it completely. Cheers and shouts went up all over the island, and Sora reacted immediately. His paws swung in broad circles, bringing those two big, black stones towards each other in a hurry. They grazed each other and sparks set them ablaze in emerald and sapphire flames, trailing comets of dazzling beauty as the otter twisted and spun in smooth motions, guiding each orb in precise movements.

Tobin's attention was on the sun the moment totality happened. He could see the moon covering the entire sun and turning the sky a dark blue which faded out along the horizon. Most spectacularly was the blocked sun, its corona shining brightly out from around the moon. Spikes of white emanated from the black sphere and shone brilliantly out among the darkened sky. The bat stared up at it in wonder, mouth wide in awe.

Sora called his attention back without any effort, though. The otter's motions were fluid and graceful, his arms sweeping in long arcs, trailing the fiery orbs of blues and greens that blended into a mesmerizing wheel of colors. His feet skirted the edge of the mirror-like pool, never missing a step as his body leaned forward and back, spinning the leather cords so close to his body that his fine fur was brushed aside on each pass. The painted otter turned his gaze up towards the eclipsed sun, paws moving through the motions with practiced ease even as his attention was elsewhere. The crowd cheered and clapped for the otter as much as they did for the brilliant display above their heads.

All too soon, both displays ended and people were running about to talk with friends and family about the wonderful things they'd all gotten to seen. Tobin's eyes sparkled with mystery and he rushed forward as soon as Sora's arms ceased. The otter lowered the fire into the pool, extinguishing them, and no sooner had he done so did the bat's arms find their way around his waist, pulling him close.

The otter let out an awkward squawk of surprise as the bat's tongue teased forward into his maw, almost falling backwards into the pool. He caught himself, paws grabbing at Tobin's hips as the kiss deepened. The passion and fire of the kiss made his blood boil and the otter broke the kiss to have enough presence of mind to make mention of some privacy.

Tobin was so wound up with excitement that he could have taken the otter right there, but he had enough presence of mind to agree and drag his friend off along the river until they were out of sight from the line of huts. Once alone, Tobin turned his attention back to the tall otter, his paws roaming over that smooth, brown fur as their lips met again.

Sora let out a soft, needy sound and his own paws pressed to Tobin's chest, his hips grinding forward to drag his hardening length up along the bat's. Tongues twined together and the otter sucked gently at Tobin's tongue as both his paws slid down to find their lengths and squeeze them together. Pre soaked into his paws and he stroked them together while they made out.

The kiss broke and Tobin pulled Sora down onto the cushy grass along the river, guiding the otter to his back while slipping between his legs. He lay gently atop the younger male and pressed his muzzle into Sora's neck, kissing and biting over his flesh. Tobin's paws held the otter there while his muzzle moved in a line down over his neck, chest and stomach.

Sora squirmed around and spread his legs to either side, letting out a needy whine. His paws found those oversized ears and rubbed them between his fingers, giving them an occasional tug. Every time the bat's teeth made contact with his skin it sent little jolts of electricity up his spine and made his cock throb along his belly, more pre leaking out to mat his fur.

Tobin grazed his teeth against the otter's stomach and dragged his muzzle down until his lips brushed against the wet fur around Sora's navel, taking in the heady scent of otter. He shuddered and descended further, lips finding the hard length and delivering a long, circling lick to the hooded head of his shaft. Sora's taste washed over him and the noise the otter made was like music to his ears.

He continued the motion again, this time with a paw joining in to hold the thick length still. His tongue curled against the head of Sora's cock, teasing along his foreskin before his lips pushed down, skinning it back. Sora throbbed in his muzzle as he took a few inches into his maw, sucking lightly and twisting his tongue in figure-eights over the head.

The otter writhed in pleasure and arched his back, head rolling side to side in the grass as his paws tugged urgently at those brown ears. His hips were rolling in small, circular motions that slid a few inches back and forth between Tobin's lips. If the bat continued like this it wouldn't be long before he came, but he wanted more if he wanted to be fully satisfied. One of his paws settled just at the bridge of the bat's snout and he pushed gently, easing him off his shaft.

Tobin let the otter's length fall from his lips, a line of pre drooling down his chin and he looked up to meet Sora's gaze. The affection and desire for each other that kindled so long ago was like a roaring flame reflected in each other's eyes and they knew they had to have each other right there. The bat's muzzle dipped under the otter's sac and his tongue dragged up the cleft of Sora's rear, tongue teasing against his passage.

Sora gasped and arched his back again, legs bent at the knee and spread to give the brown bat all the access he needed. The ribbon-like tongue wet his passage and toyed along the puckered flesh with increasing insistence before it finally slipped inside. The otter's muzzle hung open, gasps and grunts coming from him as his lover prepared him.

The bat's tongue thrust in and out of that tight hole a few times, doing his best to loosen his friend's entrance. Every noise Sora made put Tobin's short fur on end and his pulse raced knowing that it was his own actions driving the otter wild. He pulled free, and in a quick move had scooted himself up between Sora's legs to press the head of his own uncut shaft against the slick passage. He eased himself forward, foreskin peeling back as he slipped inside the otter's hot tunnel. It took all his will not to just drive himself into the hilt with how worked up he was.

Sora's paws grasped at the grass beneath him, head lolling from side to side as he was split open by the bat's length. It was agonizingly, but necessarily, slow. He watched Tobin through half-lidded eyes, catching the expression of lust and need on his face as another few inches pushed forward.

"Are you okay?" Tobin asked quietly as his hips met the otter's, drawing out a soft hiss under his breath.

Sora was panting hard and he nodded quickly a few times, squeezing himself down on the length inside him. "Y-yeah, go," he said, legs lifting to wrap around Tobin's waist.

Tobin held onto Sora's thighs and ground himself forward, pulling a moan from both of them before he tugged back. The bat's cock pushed back in, pressing intimately against sensitive spots inside the otter and causing him to clench down with a throaty groan. Tobin kept that in mind as he withdrew further this time, thrusting back in at the same spot.

The otter whimpered and slid a paw down his chest to begin stroking himself off. Fingers squeezed around his thickness, dragging his foreskin back and forth over the dripping head while the bat between his legs picked up a steady rhythm. Pre drooled out over his pad as he pumped at his length, legs drawing the bat in with increasing urgency.

Tobin could hardly resist the otter's not-so-subtle hints, and he picked up speed. His hips drove into the otter's, his full sac smacking against the upturned rear and base of that rudder tail, pre spilling into his partner's passage. Sweat beaded on his brown as he humped harder and more erratic, the need building at the base of his balls and traveling up along his shaft. He was too worked up to slow down and savor the moment and his claws dug at Sora's thighs, ears pinning back against his head.

Sora was murmuring and moaning out unintelligible words of encouragement as the bat's length drove in against his sweet spot in rapid succession. His paw flew up and down over his length, drawing him near to his own orgasm. He could tell the bat was almost there, and he fought to hold himself off for just a moment longer.

The bat was the one to shoot first, his hips working into a feverish pace and balls drawing up tight to his body. Cum flooded out of the bat and into the otter, filling him with a liquid fire that leaked back out as Tobin continued humping the otter's sleek body. The bat's teeth were clenched tight for a few seconds before he broke down and moaned with unrestrained desire, practically collapsing over Sora's body while his hips jerked and twitched still.

That was what Sora had been waiting for and the otter's paw quickened with a few more strokes before going still. The head of his uncut shaft swelled and shot a thick strand of white seed up over his chest and shoulder, the next few splattering messily against his fur as he came hard. He could feel the bat's cock throbbing under his tail and each pulse made his own cock shoot another rope of seed out to join the rest.

Tobin's body was coated in a fine sheen of sweat and he held himself up as long as he could manage until he finally collapsed against Sora's chest, seed smearing into his own short fur. Their muzzles brushed against each other's and they panted openly, too tired for words just yet.

The bat slid both his paws up along Sora's sides until finding the otter's paws. They laced their fingers together and squeezed tight, no words needed for what they were thinking. They didn't know for certain how the other felt, but the time for silence and apprehension was over. It was time to take a chance.
