Kyurex walked with his friends towards his school. May and Blaze had both stayed overnight at his home, first reason was that Blaze ate too much and could barely move, second reason, because May was totally charmed by his mum. Kyurex had also spoken with his mother and said that he would live alone now, although he would still pay a visit from time to time. He wasn't sure what he was going to do now that he had finished school.

The secretive problem between May and Kyurex still remained. Since the issue they had a day ago, they both spoke relatively less with each other, making Blaze really starting to wonder if something was up. But May was a bit happy, because she knew that if Kyurex was trying to evade her, that meant he was shy, and if he felt shy about it then he cared, even if only a bit. It was still something.

They walked in silence, and although Kyurex always walked in the middle, this time it was Blaze, who didn't understand the reason himself. May looked at one side, an Kyurex at the other. Blaze was a little confused, but he found it amusing. His friends were acting like kids...well...they were kids after all.

"Ey Kyu..." Blaze turned to his friend. Kyurexs slowly reacted.

"What?"

"Wanna hang out afterwards?" Blaze asked. May also payed attention.

"I'm going to sleep..." The Umbreon replied. Blaze agreed.

"Okay..."

Discussion, over. Blaze turned his head. He thought of a topic that could bring up a possible answer if something was on between his friends. He thought for a while.

He laughed in his mind. He knew what to ask!! Though there was a risk but...who cares.

"Ey May..." he started again. May looked at him coldly, and it was pretty obvious that she hadn't slept enough. Her eyes barely stayed open.

"What?" she asked, as if she were dead. Blaze picked the right words.

"Well eh...Jean...em the one from our class." He said this so Kyurex would understand too."The other Houndour..." Kyurex listened."He asked me to ask you something..." Blaze said in a shy tone. Kyurexs ears rose, May wondered.

"What?"

"Well....he couldn't say it himself but...would you go on a date with him?" Blaze lied of course, though he used Jean because he knew that May knew that the Houndour deeply admired her. That was also the reason why May didn't think it was pure nonsense.

Kyurex turned away, acting like he didn't hear anything and wasn't listening at all.

May, seeing Kyurexs reaction, didn't hesitate. There was a kind of "This is because of Revy" tone in her voice.

"Sure...why not."

WHAT?? Kyurex thought. Did she mean it?

Blaze was confused. Now he wasn't sure if it was a trick, or if May really meant it. Does she like Kyu or not? Does Kyu like her? Huh!?...damn!! I don't get it....hmm maybe I should try asking Kyu.

Plan B!

"Ey Kyu...that Espeon was quite beautiful, the one from yesterday!" Mays death gaze changed Blazes intended saying "Ehh...I mean she was average...of course I mean..she wasn't that good. But ey, di-"

"Blaze....that topic is tabu, okay?" Kyurex coldly replied before the Houndoom even could finish. Blazes two friends were now even more silent and mysterious.

"Damn it..." Blaze walked on, feeling defeated. He knew that his friends knew what he intended to do but, he just couldn't force them to say it. And that's why he was still unsure if it was even true.

But he couldn't think of a plan because they already approached a large mass of Pokemon, gathered around the tree where Mr.Blugsdorn used to lecture Eevees. Kyurex experienced some flashbacks as soon as he saw it, and remembered the issue he had with his friends.

There was lots and lots of Pokemon, everywhere. The first ten meters were blocked so Kyurex, Blaze and May had to live with the distance.

"Hey, Blaze man!!" a unknown voice could be heard from within the crowd. Suddenly, a gang of Nuzleaf appeared in front of the three, making there way out of the crowd. Blaze was hit with surprise, it was his and Mays classmate. The obvious leader stepped forth to greet Blaze.

"Ey...Chino...what are you doing here?" Blaze asked. The other Nuzleaf were quite, while Chino replied.

"The same as everyone else..the announcement dude!" he sounded energetic. Kyurex got the feeling the announcement was something the Nuzleaf was looking forward to. Blaze didn't get it.

"And? Your sounding like its worth listening!" Blaze stated. The Nuzleaf looked puzzled, sharing a confused look with his Nuzleaf friends. They all shared a laugh.

"You think if this announcement wouldn't be worth listening, that I would be here?" he chuckled. Blaze was used to Chinos bluffing.

"Ok so what's the deal then? Spit it out already..."

"Well, nobody actually knows but I guess I could tell you..."

"Chino!"

"Aright, aright..." the Nuzleaf scratched his head. There were a lot of people, but he made sure only Blaze and his friends heard him. Kyurex listened. "I was was eavesdropping yesterday...and I heard my grandad speak about the announcement today..."

"Well?" Blaze was impatient.

"Well...He was speaking about some dark champion, and this is what I understood...They're going to let us participate in the Bronze Tournament this year!!!"

"No way!!" Kyurex didn't care if he wasn't the one talking. Blazes eyes widened.

"Your kidding right?" Blaze asked. The Nuzleaf grinned.

"Nope..."

"You know how bad ass that is??!!!" Kyurex started, his mood was now 100%. May looked puzzled.

"Aren't only experienced Pokemon supposed to go there?" she asked, trying to calm, the other three down. The Bronze tournament was something held every year to test Pokemon skills, the victory at this tournament allowed the winners to participate in the Silver tournament, and after winning that one you could even compete in the Gold tournament. Usually, high experience was needed to participate, even in the Bronze tournament. It was the goal of everybody, but never did Kyurex expect the invitation to be offered so soon, and especially in his own forest.

Though it could all be a lie.

"You sure what you heard?" Kyurex asked. The crowd was getting bigger, and bigger..........

Meanwhile...

"Green, don't you think you should of just told him..instead of informing everybody?" Mr.Blugsdorn looked through the bushes at the crowd. The crowd was curiously waiting to understand what was so important. Mr.Green sat next to his old friend, meditating. He then fetched a lung full of breath.

"You see, that's the difference between us...I think, you don't."

"Ey!"

"Joking my friend...but" the Shiftry grinned. "You see, if I would of told him alone, and he would of assembled a team, he would probably wonder WHY he's the only one doing so. Like everyone else he knows what the tournament is...and an explanation would be needed, and that option has got to be avoided. We've got to make him believe everybody is intended to participate. You see, though they're all not experienced yet, this is a great opportunity, the will to be victorious will force a hard training routine and each of them will have a chance to come out victorious, even if there are elder Pokemon present..."

"Hmm...but it will acquire hard training indeed." Mr.Blugsdorn thought.

"Well, you could say I'm worried a little about the others but Kyurex is one of those confident-thinking types, he has great potential. Besides, if he has obtained the skills of his father then...He could even participate in the Silver tournament."

"Ey, your rushing this...he still needs a lot to learn to even stand a chance at the Bronze tournament." the Noctowl quickly remarked. He kind of felt that Mr.Green really admired Kyurex, putting the others into the shadow. But in a way, he was right.

"Of course...but I know you believe in him too...He is a great fighter. He will one day, be much stronger than his father ever was.."Mr.Green stated, making the Noctowl look at him in surprise.

"Woooah... you sure have a lot of faith in Kyurex, don't you?" he asked.

"Of course..." the Shiftry stood up."I've trained his father and I've helped him...I should be able to judge..." The Noctowl looked at the mass of Pokemon, who couldn't see him and his friend.

"The crowd is getting tired, we should be going."

"A'ight, lets do this...lets join the other staff."

"Quiet down, all!!" an old Stantler called out. He was the usual speaker for the announce, though a lot of otherstaff members of the village stood next to him. Kyurexs teachers and some others that he didn't know well. Kyurex wondered where his friends were. They wouldn't miss an announcement, would they? Chino, Blaze, May and Kyurex payed attention, as did the crowd.

Mr.Green stepped forward. As usual, he was calm as ever. He watched the crowd, taking a deep breath.

"Hello all...I shall begin with an explanation. You probably have noticed that only those who have finished there education recently are here..." It was true, although it wasn't only the Evees, it was every single class. There were all types of Pokemon. "Well that's simple, because only those who have finished school and are old enough can participate in the Bronze tournament." Mr.Green said it directly. Mr.Blugsdorn smacked his own face.

"Well, that's what they call straight to the point..."

The crowd started talking wildly. Everyone knew what it is. The Shiftry let the crowd discuss. It was to be expected. He then raised his arms to bring silence once more. Though the crowd couldn't calm down after hearing such an info. Kyurex and his friends grinned. Chino was probably right.

"Yes, maybe you've guessed already but we would proudly allow you to participate in the Bronze tournament. Yes, you are probably asking yourself-"

15 minutes later.

"- and so, the rules are simple. You have to be in a team of three. You have to make your decision today and most important there is no going back."

The crowd listened and discussed, surprised about the sudden news. Many weren't sure because of the rumors that Bronze tournament was really tough. Others didn't want to travel that far just to compete and some preferred to stay and learn more. Kyurex already knew what he was going to do as soon as he heard the news.

"I'm going."

Blaze and May looked at each other. That was one answer they knew wouldn't change.

The Shiftry continued.

"For those of you who choose to participate please meet me after the announcement. I will need your paw, or handprints or whatever...to register your identity into the Fighters list.-

Another 10 minutes later. Nobody really listened to Mr.Green, they were all busy building teams. Kyu looked at a prepared Blaze, and the puzzled May.

"-and that would be everything. Please stay if you wish to get entered into the registry. Of course, me and Mr.Hollace will be ready anytime your ready. Remember you'll only have one chance because we will be sending the list to the tournament organization today."

The crowd moved around, everyone was discussing something. Some already went to stand in front of the tree, waiting for the old Shiftry to tell them what to do. Kyurex called Blaze and May away. He led them behind some bushes so they could discuss the matter. Blaze looked ready, May looked a little sad. Kyurex actually thought about his old friends, but he was sure they would make a team of three without him. He made sure nobody had followed them.

"I'm going." Kyurex said. His friends knew what he was about to ask. It was obvious. "You guys want to be a team?" he looked at Blaze, and then at May.

"Sure bro! I'm with ya!!" Blaze took the offer. Kyurex turned to May. She looked a little frightened.

"May?" there was silence. Eventually she had to answer.

"I don't know..." she started. Kyurex raised his eyebrow. May then thought:

Wait, if I don't accept they'll probably have another gal in my place. Not acceptable, besides, why am I sounding like a weakling?

"What am I talking about..." she grinned. "I'm in!"

"Awesome!!" Blaze replied. Kyurex smiled.

"That's the spirit!!"

"Aright, but we've got to travel hell of a way man!! I need some food, and give my Ma and sistas a good by kiss!!" Blaze started planning. Kyurex interrupted.

"Wait, wait....first we need to register ourselves...and anyway the tournament is in about, half a year?" Kyurex remarked. May nodded, while Blaze disagreed.

"Don't tell me you bozo don't know how far away it is?" he countered."It's like an ENDLESS walk from here!!" he overacted.

"You've never been there before..." May said. Kyurex agreed. Blaze was getting impatient.

"I know, but I've heard!!"

"You always hear something!!" May snapped. Blaze fell silent.

"Don't come crying to me if we're late..." he said. Suddenly an owl flew right in front of them. It was unexpected, it was Mr.Blugsdorn. Kyurex was a little surprised, he saw a Kadabra walking from out of the trees towards them.

"Hello...Kyurex. I see your in your new form." Mr.Blugsdorn remarked. He nodded to the other two as a greeting."And I see you have some new friends!"

"Yeah...Emm Mr.Blugsdorn?" Kyurex asked, feeling uneasy in front of his friends.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh....yes of course. Come here!" The owl called to the Kadabra. The creature stood next to the Noctowl. "You can start the registry..."

"Yes." The Kadabra waved with his spoons, mumbling something while looking at the ground. Kyurex Blaze and May watched in amazement. What was he doing. Kyurex turned again to his former teacher.

"What's he doing?"

"Well, he's setting up the portal to add you to the the fighters list. Either than that....nothing."

Kyurex watched as he saw a bluish-plasma like circle appear.

"How did you know we were here?" Kyurex asked. His teacher stayed calm. There was nobody else around."And why don't we have to register with the others?" Mr.Blugsdorn scratched his head.

"Well, my former students get a special treatment." Kyurex didn't really want to, but he believed his teacher." I assume you are a team here? Weird...I thought you and Flak would definitely end up in one team..." the teacher said. Kyurex felt a little sad about the words. Nevertheless, he was confident with the team he had now. The Kadabra finished, and there was a large pool-like bluish shield circle spread on the floor.

"Proceed, dark one, you and your friends have to step with your front-paws on this portal while its working." The Kadabra spoke with a deep bass. Kyurex and his friends shared some eye contact.

"Is it safe man? It probably has some side effects or somethin!" Blaze stepped back."It looks like, like evil water!!"

Kyurex stepped on the circle. His friends were a little surprised. They could see that some sort of small fire spat at Kyurexs paws from the portal. There was some crackling sounds and Kyurex was bounded to the circle. He couldn't move.

"Now you two..." Mr.Blugsdorn said. Blaze and May found a spot and also slowly stepped onto the portal. The same happened and all three were bound to the bluish thingy.

"Now, hold still. This will take seconds..." the Kadabra said, and starting moving with his spoons again, mumbling some weird syllables.

"I hope he's not saying 'Oh Satan, take these souls into your deep abyss for all eternity, they will gladly serve you for ever, take them-"

"Blaze!!" May cut his sentence, not allowing him to finish. Mr.Blugsdorn sighed.

"What?? I'm just saying!" The Houndoom stated.

The Kadabra finished mumbling, opening his eyes. Kyurex watched him carefully. The circle started to vanish and all three of them felt a little power fade away through their paws.

"Damn!! I told you it has side effects!!" Blaze said.

The Kadabra pointed at the new team. "You are now, from this moment on, Team 76!"
