Soul Chaser decides to spend a holiday at the buffet, basking in some gluttony. He just wants to eat as much as he can (which won't stick thanks to the metabolism of a pegasus). Of course a certain Alicorn might have her own ideas...

The Gift of Gluttony By Theo Winters

A holiday in Canterlot always seemed to bring out every pony in and around the town. The usual ebb and flow of ponies walking and flying down the street seemed to simply double throughout the day. It didn't matter what sort of holiday it was; from one as large as Hearths Warming to as small as the anniversary of the Summer Accords. Soul Chaser didn't mind all that much, it meant he could take a long weekend.

The orange pegasus moved easily through the crowded air, his fire red mane and tail fluttering behind him as he glided down towards the street bellow. He could see the sign for the Canter-Dancer Buffet, one of the best in town. His belly grumbled as he neared the ground, eager to be filled. He hadn't eaten a thing all day in anticipation of this meal and he was very hungry!

He pushed the door open with his flank and trotted inside, humming a soft tune to himself, dropping his bits at the front counter he walked to a table near the back and sank down in the chair. Closing his brown eyes he took in a long breath, allowing the scents to wash over him. There were so many different foods waiting for him, trays filled with so many different things to eat.

Letting out the breath Chaser slipped out of his chair and walked over to the buffet tables. The restaurant wasn't too crowded for an early dinner, only about half the tables in use. A small section off to the side had been closed off with a folding paper wall, probably some noble who didn't want to be bothered by commoners.

Picking up a plate the stallion carefully balanced it on his front hoof, quickly loading it up with a bit of everything on the table. There was so much to choose from: hay burgers, lasagna, penne pasta slathered in cheese, quiche, a selection of leaves and flowers, fresh grass, spinach pizza, four different types of potatoes and chili. The only thing he skipped was the small section of meat for those who actually wanted it.

The hungry stallion knew he was pigging out, but that was the whole point of the trip! It wasn't very often he got the chance to really indulge in eating until he was well past full, and the long weekend was perfect for it. In the long run it wouldn't matter, thanks to his high metabolism it would all be gone in a few days.

Chase slipped the full plate onto his back and grabbed a second one, filling it up just as quickly with more dishes. Satisfied for the moment he headed back to his table and sat down. Digging into the pasta he let out a pleased moan as the flavor washing over his tongue, and the next bite was just as good. In fact everything he had picked out tasted fanatic, but that's what set the buffet apart from so many other restaurants, all the food was simply excellent.

In what felt like moments he finished both plates of food, and found himself looking down at them with a touch of disappointment. "That went far too fast," he said, pushing them to the side of the table and heading back to the buffet. He was already starting to feel pleasantly full, but not full enough to keep from getting another pair of plates. This time he made a large salad out of the greens and flowers, adding a few tomatoes and cooked eggs along with a heavy amount of dressing. His other plate was filled with some of all the different pastas dishes.

He returned to his table, this time making a point of taking it slower, allowing himself to enjoy each and every bite as he worked his way through the pile of food. He cycled through each dish, taking a bite of one and then moving onto another, trying to have the flavors complement each other. Even with taking his time he soon found the plates empty for a second time.

Stacking them with the first set he leaned back and rubbed a hoof against the curve of his belly. He was starting to feel full and tight, but in a good way. His stomach was growing taunt under his skin tell him that there wasn't going to be much room for any more. That was a disappointment, the last time he had binged he managed ten plates, this time he didn't think he would get much past six.

"You look bothered, is something wrong with your meal?" The unicorn waitress asked as she came up, levitating the empty plates into the trays slung across her back. There was a genuine look of concern on her face as she carefully cleaned the table.

Soul Chaser chuckled and gave her a smile. "Everything is fine. I'm just feeling full already."

The mare returned his smile. "Don't feel like you got your money's worth?"

"Growing up my mother used to joke that I could eat a buffet empty. I've always wanted to really do that, just eat everything," he said. He then blushed a bit at the admission his cheeks soon the same shade of red as his mane.

"Well if you get up and walk around a bit you might be able to get a bit more in," she offered with a wink then started onto the next table.

Chaser watched her as she walked away, taking a moment to think over what she had said. There was some merit to the idea and if it let him eat more food he was all for it. Climbing to his hooves he set off back to the buffet table, this time walking around the perimeter of the restaurant, silently glad that only the waitress had heard what he'd said.

"Growing up my mother used to joke that I could eat a buffet empty. I've always wanted to really do that, just eat everything."

Princess Celestia cocked her ear at the hardly audible words drifted across the restaurant. No one else at the crowded table heard them, too busy listen to themselves talk on and on about the minutia of parliament and how to deal with the cheap grain the minotaurs were shipping to Equestira. She knew that it wasn't worth trying to do anything about and that it would fix itself in time, but there was no convincing the others about that.

Carefully she levitated a cup of tea to her lips and took a sip, acting like she was paying attention to the conversation. She had hoped that by taking a lunch meeting that it would hasten the process but it had done nothing to help. Instead she found herself nodding and carefully eating her meal one bite at a time as her subjects moved along outside the folding wall.

Instead she focused on the comment she had overheard, wanting to eat everything. It was one that she could sympathize with. There were days she just wanted to indulge herself and eat everything and anything, but as Princess she had to show restraint, at least in public.

A hint of a smile played over her narrow muzzle as she made a decision and cast a spell, the golden glow of her magic being lost in the light of the restaurant. The spell flew past the folding wall and into the restaurant, zipping through the air until it came to rest on the orange pegasus, settling down over his back and vanishing in a moment.

The Princess allowed herself a pleased smile as she took another bite of her meal, looking forward to what was to come.

Soul Chaser was surprised to find just how well the waitress' advice worked. By the time he had returned to the buffet table the feeling of fullness has faded away as had the tightness in his belly. Pleased that he could eat even more he licked his lips and started to fill plates. The first one he loaded up with all the different sorts of breads and rolls, stacking it as high as possible before placing it between his wings. The second plate was filled with half a dozen bowls of soup, each one filled nearly to the rim.

He started to head back to his table when his belly growled in hunger, after a moment of thought he shifted the second plate onto his back, holding both carefully with his wings and started filling a third plate. This time with a number of dumpling style dishes as well as a collection of large mushroom caps stuffed with saut?ed mushrooms. Satisfied with all he had he hurried back to the table and sat down.

First off was the soup, using the various breads to scoop it up so he didn't have to try and press his snout into the bowls. It tasted wonderful, a warm feeling starting to fill his body. He couldn't help himself and started to shovel the bread into his muzzle, blushing a bit but no one seemed to notice or care.

The dumplings were just as good, each one easy to grab with his mouth and swallow down. They were filled with different things, some with cheese, some with vegetables and grain, and one that had tofu... he made a note to skip that one in the future. The mushrooms were absolutely amazing, he had never had mushrooms stuffed with mushrooms before, but they were very good.

Soon enough Chaser had finished the last plate of food and didn't feel any more full than he had before. He pushed the dirty plates to the side and headed back for more, hardly noticing that his belly had started to fill out from all the food. This time he filled a trio of plates with all of his favorites from the buffet, piling each plate so high with food that in nearly toppled over.

He found himself eating from the plate held on his hoof even before he reached the table, but luckily no one noticed his gluttony. In fact he nearly had it cleaned by the time was able to sit down. The other two plates lasted just about as long as he ate through the food like he had never eaten before. It made him feel so very good, his stomach grumbling for more. It seemed it had taken no time at all to finish the last plate, leaving him without food again.

Leaning back he snorted and looked down at the stack of empty plates. "Ten so far, not bad at all," he mused as his belly rumbled, still eager for more. He rubbed his belly with a hoof, feeling a softness there that hadn't been there before. There was no way that his hunger was going to be satisfied by simply matching what he had done before, he needed more.

He hurried back to the buffet, his gait heavier than before and his flank jiggling with new weight caused his cutie mark to shake, making it look like the flame was dancing the water droplet that encased it. Reaching the buffet he collected a new plate then frowned a bit. He didn't think that it could hold enough food to feed his growing hunger and his stomach agreed with a growl that everypony in the restaurant could hear.

Carefully he set the plate back where he had taken it and looked back at the buffet table. There was a whole tray filled with fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms, without thinking he simply grabbed the edge of the tray with a hoof and picked the whole of it up and slid it onto his back. Moving down the line he took a second tray, this one filled with the stuffed mushrooms he loved so much.

Trotted back to the table, carefully balancing both trays on his back, he was surprised that no one was moving to stop him. In fact the waitress moved out of his way as he reached his table, giving him a coy smile as she moved on.

Dropping both trays on his table, his started to eat, shoving his muzzle directly into the pasta and slurping it up in great mouthfuls. He didn't care if he was making a bit of a pig of himself, the food was simply to good and he was just that hungry. With each bite he could feel his belly swelling yet, it only tempered his hunger, and failed to quench it. Instead it seemed that it went right to his flanks, his girth increasing, as was his weight.

Soul Chaser licked the tray clean before moving onto the mushrooms. Each one was a perfect mouthful and he was able to gulp them down with ease, hardly having to chew them as he ate, the soft flesh sliding down his throat without a hint of bother. Soon enough even that tray was empty, leaving him looking down with a hint of annoyance.

Letting out a muffled belch he stood back up and trotted towards the buffet again, his belly swaying from side to side under him. He hardly noticed the extra weight on his body, but it felt rather nice. Once back at the buffet he grabbed the next tray he could and moved it to his back then took a second. He was about to turn back when he looked down at it, filled with hay burgers sliders. Without a thought he started into it right there, eating with gusto as the other patrons moved around him.

When that tray was empty he moved to the next one, this one filled with fresh wheat with a hint of butter. He ate them as well, as well as the next tray of lasagna and another of broccoli. Soon he simply ignored what was in each tray as he worked his way down the length of the buffet, making quick work of each tray in front of him. Still it wasn't enough for his greedy stomach, in fact with each tray of food he finished the more hungry he became for the next one.

All the food was starting to add up, with his flank and barrel growing thick with a layer of fat along with an extra dose on his hips, swelling them outwards and stretching out his cutie mark. The pegasus didn't mind at all, it was a wonderful feeling, almost indescribable but it also felt very right.

After eating a tray full of wraps he was disappointed to find that he had come to the end of the buffet. Looking back he could see almost no food remaining, only the tofu dumplings and the meat had been skipped, but all the rest had found its way into his belly. Well, almost all... turning back he looked at the tray of macaroni still propped on his back, held between his wings. With a shrug he slipped it off his back and set it back on the buffet before eating it as well.

When the tray was finally empty he sat back and smiled. "Wow, I really did eat it all," he said half to himself, half to the unicorn waitress that was right at his side and collecting the empty trays.

"I'm sorry, but we're closing early today as we've run a bit short on food," she said while walking around his greatly expanded flank. "I hope you enjoyed you meal and you'll come back soon," she added with a hint of a smile.

"Oh I did and I will!" he said, his belly rumbling again, still eager to have more.

She nodded and started to walk away but stopped and glanced back at him. Without a word a small piece of paper lifted from her apron pocket and floated over to drop on his nose. 'Call me' she mouthed and then gave him a wink before going back to work.

Soul Chaser blushed and took the scrap of paper, pleased to see that it had her contact information written across it in perfect magic writing. He smiled and tucked it away in his mane before trotting towards the door, his new bulk swaying from side to side as he moved. His belly kept bouncing against his legs, causing it to jiggle ever more, and it seemed like every table he walked past got hit by his wide rump. It didn't really sink in just how wide he had become until he stepped out of the restaurant's door and felt the edges pull across his hips, almost catching him in place.

With a laugh and a rumble of his belly he stepped out onto the crowed street, the ponies parting around him like water. It was quite the feeling having eaten every single thing in the buffet, but it still left him feeling like he could doing it all over again, and his stomach let out a grumble in agreement.

He started walking down the street, looking over the heads of the other ponies as he searched for another place to eat. His belly kept swaying under him as he waddled along, bumping into other ponies with each step he took. His hunger kept growing with each step, filling his wide belly and encouraging him ever forward. Upon reaching a intersection the smell of roasted corn floated down the street, making his mouth water.

Licking his lips he started to follow the scent down the street and discovered that it was coming from a restaurant he had never been to before. This one offered Palomino-style cuisine. It was something he had never had but if it tasted as good as it smelled, he was sure he was going to enjoy it.

He pushed open the door with one hoof and ducked his head to stepped inside... or at least he tried to. He got halfway through the door before come to a sudden stop, his flanks having been wedged in the frame. Looking back he found himself laughing as he dug his hooves into the floor and started to pull himself through.

His wide flanks showed no sign of compressing to fit through the doorway, but the doorway was already starting to creak and pop as the edges flexed. He pushed himself forward, kicking his hind legs at the ground outside, his hooves skidding along for a moment before finding purchase. Fluttering his wings he let out a long grunt and pushed himself forward, the doorway bending and creaking as it slowly pulled away from the wall, then with a sudden crack the side of the door ripped away from the wall and he tumbled forward into the restaurant.

Chaser crashed onto the floor, his thick fat breaking his fall. With a caught and a slightly look of embarrassment he climbed back up to his feet. "Sorry, I seemed to have broken your door," he admitted, his ears sinking a bit.

An earth pony waitress dressed in a short cut dress walked over to him, a smile on her face even as she looked at the broken door. "It's okay, we needed a new one anyways. Would you like a table?"

"Yes... maybe two," he said, looking down at the waitress. With a jolt of surprise he realized he truly was towering over the mare, in fact his head was much closer to the ceiling then to the floor. It was hard to gauge, but he felt like he had doubled in height.

The waitress nodded and walked towards a table in the center of the room, her long braided tail swaying under her skirt. He followed after her, his hooves thumping heavily against the floor. When she reached the table she pushed away the chair then moved another table over.

He sat down on his thick rump and placed his forehooves on the table, idly noting that small rolls of fat had started to press down over them. It made the pegasus smile.

Reaching back the waitress picked up a menu and set it down on the table. "I'll take your order when you're ready."

Soul Chaser's belly rumbled in anticipation. "How about one of everything, starting with that roasted corn I'm smelling."

"Of course!" she said with a smile, then turned and started trotting back to the kitchen. As she walked away he felt his belly growling in protests, hardly thinking that would be close to enough food. He decided it was better to appease it.

"Better make that ten of everything!" he called out to the waitress.

She looked back at him and nodded before vanishing into the kitchen, leaving him to wait.

The stallion took a long breath, taking in the scents of the restaurant. Almost every table was filled with ponies and even a group of griffons, all of them eating the delectable smelling food. It made his stomach growl so much that it started jiggling between his legs. He laughed softly and rubbed a hoof against it, feeling it sink down into the soft blubber. Being fat was a new experience for him; he had always been rail-thin thanks to how much he flew, so he was relishing just how good it felt.

A short time later the waitress came back, carrying two plates of roasted corn, the smell flooding into his nose and making him drool. As soon as it was down on the table he grabbed one ear in his mouth and held it in his muzzle, relishing the taste. There was a bit of hint of garlic in the butter and just the right amount of salt. He swallowed it down in a single gulp and then ate the second one just as fast. There were four on the plate and it hardly lasted a minute before it was empty. The second plate lasted about as long.

Luckily by the time he was finished with both plates two more were waiting for him. He pushed the empty plates away and worked on the next one and the following one as well. He started getting into a rhythm with his eating, the plates keeping up with him as the waitress made trip after trip back to the kitchen.

Soon the corn gave way to plates of tacos, each one loaded up with beans, cheese, and vegetables. He was able to eat them two at a time and the food just kept coming! Next was plates of breaded and fried cheese, then fancy onions mixed with peppers. Each one vanished down his gullet with a burst of flavor.

The next dish was a huge plate of nachos, covered in cheeses, olives and fresh peppers. Chaser had to pause for a second, trying to decide down best to eat it. Finally he bent down and just bit into the top of the pile of chips and lifted it free, chewing it up; the whole mass as the chips crunched between his teeth before gulping it down. Licking his lips he moved to push the empty plate away only to discover that it simply wasn't there.

Blinking the stallion looked around the table, there were a few empty plates piled to the side but no sign of the nacho plate. With a blush he suddenly realized that he had ate it along with the food! He had never done anything like that before and didn't even know he could. With growl of his stomach he reached over and grabbed one of the empty plates with his teeth and tried to swallow it. It went down easily as the rest of the food had, and even had its own unique taste.

The corpulent stallion licked his lips, wondering what that meant. How could he just eat a plate like that? Ponies just didn't eat plates, but he did and he felt very nice, with the grumbling of his belly it seemed to agree. He shifted himself, his belly rolling down between his legs and pushing at the tables at the same time pushing away the next plate of food. The smell rose up and filled his nose, making his mouth water.

Putting the whole plate issue out of his mind, he dropped his head down and scooped up the next plate of nachos, crunching happily at it as the next one arrived. He ate each plate of the wonderful cheeses soaked food, dish and all. The staff didn't seem to mind, since they didn't have to clean away the plates anymore it meant they could bring out the good even faster.

And bring it out they did, plate after plate loaded with food, all with wonderful flavors. So much beans, rice and cheese on everything. It was heaped up onto the plates, towering over the table top as each plate was set down before him. Chaser quickly found it was easier to swallow each plate whole, not even bothering chewing, instead feeling it just slide down his throat and into his still hungry belly.

Soon he found his ears brushing up against the ceiling of the restaurant, forcing him to hunch over. The action pushed his belly out ever further and caused the tables to slide farther away. With each dish that was served to him it took a little more work to rock forward and collect the plate, his belly actually getting in the way of his eating!

Eventually the wait staff started to bring out deserts. Plates full of sticky buns covered in frosting, large slices of pie with ice cream, a brownie covered in hot fudge. They were just as wonderful as the rest of the meal, everything was so sweet on his tongue even as it slid down his throat. He found his belly shivering a bit from the cold even as it growled in hunger.

Soul Chaser licked his lips as huge bowls of ice cream came out. All sorts of toppings piled up high on top. Each bowl was different, some had a lot of nuts, another was covered in fruits and whip cream and one was almost floating in fudge. He was in heaven with so many desserts and then suddenly he discovered that the table was empty.

The stallion let out a belch and leaned back, his head hitting the roof with a heavy thud. He reached up with one forehoof and rubbed the side of it as he hunched back down even as the floor creaked and popped from his massive ass covering it.

"What else do you have?" he asked, turning back to the earth pony waitress, his stomach letting him know he wasn't ready to be full.

"I'm sorry," the mare said, looking back at the kitchen. "We don't have any more to eat, unless you want to eat the staff," she giggled at her joke and gave him a smile.

"What an interesting idea," he mused for a moment, then without thinking about it he opened his mouth wide and bent down to shove the waitress into his mouth. Throwing his head back he swallowed, and felt her sliding down his throat, his neck bulging out with the shape of her body as she sank down into his belly, landing with enough force to make it jiggle.

Chaser let out a huge belch, his hooves going up to his muzzle. He had actually done it, he had actually eaten her without any trouble at all! She just went down without a fuss and fit easily in his huge belly, joining with the rest of his meal. He could still taste her on his lips, it was a strange taste and a rather pleasant one as well. It wasn't like meat, which he had eaten before, but something else... something nicer than that. As tastes went, she had been rather nice, a bit sweet with a hint of flowers to her.

A waiter walked up to him, a notepad hovering in the glow of his magic. "We'll add that to you bill," he said making a note.

"Wait, you mean the staff really are on the menu?" he asked in surprise.

The stallion cocked his head to the side as he tucked the notepad away. "I don't see why not," he replied.

Soul Chaser smiled and nodded. "Well then, I think I'm going to order all of you!" he said with laugh and another belch.

"Very well sir," the waiter said, pulling his pad out and making a couple more notes as he trotted back to the kitchen. A few moments later a pair of cooks came out and walked up to his table. They looked up at him with a smile and one even had covered himself in some pepper.

The massive stallion decided to start with the one who had been so thoughtful as to provide seasoning, gulping him down easily. He tasted different then the waitress, and not just because of the pepper. Licking his lips he pondered the taste for a few moments before eating the other chef. Once again the taste was different, more earthy... which was odd as he was a unicorn.

By now the rest of the staff had lined up next to him. They were chatting and smiling to each other, passing around a number of spice shakers to make sure they were all covered. One pegasus even had tucked a number of garnishes into her flight feathers.

"You all look so tasty," he said, licking his lips before bending down and eating the next pony in line. This one went down even easier, as did the next one and the next one. It was like eating those little snacks you got at parties, each one was easy to eat but didn't fill you up at all. Each pony had a different taste, no two quite the same as each other, though some were close.

The worst part was how fast it went. There was only about a dozen ponies on staff and no single one took more than a few moments for him to eat. Far too soon he was down to the very last pony, the unicorn who had taken his order. With a smile he pulled out his notepad and used his magic to set it on the table. "Your bill," he said with a smile.

Chaser gave him a nod and then gobbled him up as easily as the other ponies, even easier in fact. He hardly had to gulp this time, the unicorn just sliding down without any of the familiar tightness in his throat.

He glanced down at the bill on the table and shrugged a bit and stood up to pay, but instead of going up he found himself going down! As soon as his hooves were on the floor they burst through it, the wood splintering under his concentrated weight. He flapped his wings, trying to slow his decent but his size counteracted any lift he could possibly generate. He crashed down into the restaurant's basement, the stone floor bowing under the impact.

As the dust settled around him he discovered that even standing in the basement there was hardly any room for him, the bottom of his barrel (or where it would have been if it wasn't almost at his hooves) was even with the floor and there wasn't much room between him and the ceiling. The trick of course was going to be getting out of the hole, and soon as his stomach was starting to rumble in hunger again.

Slowly he spun around in place, looking to see if there was an easy way to climb up but there just wasn't anything he could use, at least not at his hooves. With a chuckle he leaned forward and bit into the front wall of the building, his teeth sinking into the wood and stone with ease. Bracing himself he pulled backwards and tore an opening in the wall large enough he could squeeze through. Of course now that one wall was missing the rest of the building started to creak and then collapsed down onto Soul Chaser's back.

The stallion gasped as the weight of the building fell onto him, forcing him down onto his belly as it piled over his back. Luckily he wasn't hurt by any of the falling debris, at his size they were more of an annoyance than anything else. Shaking a few beams out of his mane he took a moment to survey the scene while idly eating the mouthful of wall. Like he had hoped much of the debris had falling down into the basement with him, giving him enough purchase to climb out of the hole.

Carefully he placed his hooves on the broken wood, making sure of each step as he pulled himself upwards and back out onto the street. He took a moment to dust himself off before standing up to his full height, finding his head reaching the top of a nearby two story building. There were a number of ponies lined up on the edge, having a party of some sort. Enjoying the holiday with friends and just have a good time.

He smiled and moved a bit closer, his belly rumbling in anticipation. Reaching out with his tongue he scooped up food table and ate it whole. It was a nice aperitif but it was only going to last a moment. Rearing up he opened his muzzle wide and scooped up a pair of chatting mares, swallowing them together. He laughed as he heard them talking even as they slid down his throat.

The rest of the party went just as quickly, two and then three at a time. It didn't seem to do anything to diminish their fun and they got to stay with their friends, and really wasn't that the important thing?

Chaser's belly reminded him that no, eating was the important thing! With a laugh he patted his belly and turned back around, looking down at the street below him. It was still as crowded as before, thousand of ponies mingling around, enjoying the bright sunny day. They flowed around his hooves and belly without a care in the world, not even a giant stallion could bother them.

"Looks like I'm back to a buffet," he mused to himself, his voice rumbling along the street. With a smirk he lowered himself down as far as he could go, down until his chin was almost touching the street, and started eating the crowd. Flicking his tongue out he scooped up a number of ponies and swallowed them down, but before he had even finishing swallowing he had taken another mouthful.

He ate his way along the street, growing a bit lager with each mouthful he took, allowing him to swallow even more. It was a wonderful cycle and both he and his voracious belly were rather enjoying it. Step by step, mouthful by mouthful he ate his way towards the center of town. He hardly noticed when his growing flanks starting to press against the buildings on both sides of the street, the walls bending inwards and cracking from the force of the impact. Even the street itself was starting to crumble under his ever growing weight as more and more ponies (and even a few gryphon's and one cute zebra) ended up in his belly.

Eventually he found it too hard to scoop them up with his tongue, even though he was easily getting over a dozen at once. After a few moments of thought he decided it would just be easier to eat the road as well, so opening his mouth wide he took a huge bite out of the street, taking dirt, paving stones and ponies all in one massive mouthful.

The dirt was a new experience for him, but not a bad one. The flavor was strong, much like an earth pony but more focused. It seemed like every stone and boulder had a slightly different taste to it, creating a melody of flavors that complemented each other.

Lucking his lips Soul Chaser started to eat his way along the road, cutting a widening gouge down the center with each bite he took. He was having the time of his life, eating as much as he wanted and whatever he wanted. He never thought it would just feel so good! Bite after bite he ate his way along, finally coming to the edge of Canterlot.

He lifted his head and turned around, looking back at the path he had eaten, the road was nothing more than a huge trench in his wake, and the buildings on each side of the street had been crushed by his passing.

With a smile he rose up to his full height, finding that he now towered over everything in the city other then the Royal Palace itself. He could see all the buildings laid out before him, each one filled with ponies. It just made his stomach rumble in anticipation.

Chaser started back into the city, but this time instead of eating the road he started eating the buildings. Tearing into them and gulping down the stone and wood that made them up. He would eat the top floors first, taking his time to make sure he got every bite before moving down to the next until he was eating the foundations right out of the ground.

It took him a few tries, but soon the massive stallion found a rhythm, allowing him to eat as fast as he could chew. The fact that he was still growing helped a great deal with that and soon he found himself able to eat a whole floor of a building in a single bite. Even better was when he found he could take a smaller building whole, ripping it right out of the ground and shoving it down his throat.

He was starting to grow even faster now, his back rising higher up in the sky behind him, blotting out Celestia's sun for much of the city. Even his sweeping tail was large enough to scour the earth clean in his wake. He was ecstatic the first time he took two buildings at once, though he had to using his hooves to cram them both into his mouth. Soon though it went from more than a mouthful to a nice snack as he ate his way across the city, looping back again and again as he was able to eat more and more at once.

By the time he was on the very last scraps of the city he found that he could easily eat a whole block in one mouthful, taking all the buildings, the streets, the ponies and ever the earth below with ease and swallowing it down. Sadly such a discovery came as he ate the very last few buildings, leaving an uneven hole where the capitol city had once been.

Well no, that wasn't quite true. Turning around he looked at the Royal Palace, perched on the side of the mountain towering over what had once been Canterlot. Though now it was almost eye level with him.

Soul Chaser looked at the gleaming white towers and golden roofs with a touch of glee. This was more then he could have ever asked for, yet it was all that he had never knew he wanted. Tilting his head to the side, he gently reached out and took the palace in his teeth, holding it firmly but not so much as to damage it he tried to pull it off the mountain side. It took some effort and a twist of his neck to finally break it free. When it did he fell back onto his huge rump, landing with enough force to make the mountain shake and slump a little to one side.

Crossing his eyes, he looked down at the palace again. He had always wanted to go but had never found a reason to, at least until now. With a smile on his face he sucked it into his mouth and ate it in a single bite. He could feel the odd shape of the towers and landings as they rolled down his throat, bulging it out in odd ways before it finally came to rest in his stomach.

With a laugh he rolled back into the hole he had made, crashing down back first and allowing himself a few moments to relax. He rubbed his huge belly with his hooves, feeling it sway over him as the weight pin him down against his wings. They had been covered with a nice thick layer of fat, making a nice bed to lay upon even if they could lift him anymore, not at his size. Without warning he let out a huge belch that shook the ground under him and blasted away the few clouds in the sky.

After a few minutes of basking in the glow of his meal, his stomach started to rumble again. Looking at the curve of it he couldn't help but laugh. "You're right, that was a good start but I'm still hungry!" he told his belly, giving it a poke with a hoof before he rolled over onto his side and climbed up onto his feet. It seemed like the whole of Equestria was laid out before him, teasing him with the green trees and rolling hills. He found himself drooling at the prospect as he started eating the road leading to the nearest town.

Chaser hardly noticed his was growing at all as he ate his way along, following the winding road through the foothills and across the plains. Each time he set his hoof down it caused the ground to buckle and break from his titanic mass, it sent his over eager belly swaying between his legs, the lowest part of it nearly brushing against the ever growing trench left in his wake. Every now and then he would scoop up a pony or two, or even a mule. Each and everypony had a wonderful taste, and each one was different then he had ever had before.

By the time he finally reached the outskirts of the town his muzzle as twice as wide as the road and he was taking up trees and even a house or two with each bite that he took. The town wasn't all that large, but it looked pretty, the sort of place one might visit when trying to 'get back to nature' without risking any actual contact with nature itself. As he pondered the best way to eat it, his belly started to grumble, slightly annoyed with not being feed in the last dozen moments.

Laughing a bit he decided it was best not to keep his hunger waiting and started in on the new meal, but instead of following the new road directly into town he started to eat his way around the outskirts, surrounding it with an ever-widening trench. His plan was to try and lift the town whole and eat it like the world's biggest cake, but soon that was derailed by a most wonderful smell.

The massive stallion found himself coming to a stop on the far side of town, the smell of perfectly ripe apples being carried along through the air. Taking in a long breath he searched for the source of the smell, following it up a small hill to discover a massive apple orchard stretching out as far as the eye could see. What must have been thousands of trees stretched out in front of him, the bright green leaves mixed with red, yellow and green apples. There as even one lone cherry tree rising up in the distance, standing out for how different it was from the rest.

Unbidden he started to drool and lick his lips in anticipation. Forgetting about the town behind him he dropped look a step forward and plucked a single apple tree from the ground and took a moment to savor the sweetness of it. The apples were a wonderful accompany to the flavor of the tree and even the dirt still hanging on the roots. He was like a small taste of the most prefect apple pie ever, and as he swallowed it down he knew there was so much more of it laid out before him.

Taking the next tree in his mouth he ate it a bit quicker, but still took a moment to savor the taste. Each one was a delicacy and he carefully pulled them free from the earth at allowed the flavors to fill his mouth. While there were many flavors to be found in the rocks, dirty and even other ponies, this was by far the sweetest.

He worked his way through the trees, growing all the while. Soon he found he had to take them two at a time. Thanks to his growth there were always some trees within reach, at least at first but even his girth couldn't keep up with his appetite and soon enough he just couldn't reach any more.

Not wanting to get up from his rather comfortable position lying across the crest of the small hill, he decided to see if he could fix the lack of apples. He slammed his forehooves deep into the ground in front of him, burying them so deep that he could almost feel bedrock. Then bracing himself, he started to pull.

For the first few moments nothing seemed to happen, then a low rumbling started to fill the air as the ground started to ripple and shift. As he pulled even harder the whole of the orchard started to slide towards him in fits and starts as it rolled along over the hills. Piles of dirt formed around some of the trees and now and then there was a burst of pressure caused by deep water being forced to the surface... but it slide ever closer towards him as the already deforested fields bunched up at his chest.

He kept pulling at the earth, bringing the next field of trees even closer to him until he could reach them. Well almost reach them, there was now a huge mass of dirt piled up against the curve of his belly and his thick legs. With a grunt he yanked his hooves free of the ground and licked them clean. Looking at the pile against him he reared up on his hind legs and hit it with his hooves, shoving the whole pile under the hill he was on.

Chaser dropped back down onto his belly and returned to his feast, working his way through more of the apple orchard, taking more and more trees with each bite, continuing to grow as he ate the sweet feast. Eventually he had to pull more of the orchard towards him, sliding miles of ground right to his mouth. It made him paw his hooves at the ground in joy as he gorged himself. Sadly the apple trees finally came to an end as the very last one slipped down his throat and into his stomach.

Opening his muzzle wide, the corpulent pegasus let out a huge belch across the land, the force of it causing the ground to ripple and crack while chunks of stone flew through the air to crash past the distant horizon.

Licking his lips he struggled back to his hooves, the hill he had been resting on now too small to even be considered a hill, even after all the dirt he had pushed under it. Chuckling to himself he turned back around to finish the small town he had abandon for the apples, but was surprised to find that it was gone. Blinking in surprise he looked around, trying to find where it might have been snuck off to. It took a few moments before he found it, though there wasn't much of to find. The whole place had been flattened and was now sitting at the bottom of a crater that looked quite a bit like his own expanded hind quarters.

A blush passed over his face, glowing bright red through the orange of his pelt. Turning around he looked at his rump, finding small pieces of wood and stone hanging from it. "Aw crap, I squished it," he said, using his tail to flick off the remains of the town.

For a moment he felt a bit sad at having ruined the town, but the forceful growling of his belly pushed the thoughts of his mind. He rose up onto his four hooves, his head rising up through the clouds. In the distance he could see the glittering of water from the distant ocean. Suddenly he was hit by a wonderful idea! He started trotting across Equestria, each stride cover miles as worked his way to the west, heading towards the coast. It didn't take all that long to reach the water, but long enough that his belly really started to protest being empty. Luckily Cloudsdale was on the way, the cloud city now level with his broad chest. Unfortunately being made of clouds it had the consistency of cotton candy, but it helped tide him over.

He waded out into the ocean, the water washing around his knees and belly. Finally he stepped off the continental shelf, sinking down until the waves were breaking against his shoulders. He turned in place, looking back towards Equestria. Taking a deep breath he dropped his head down into the water and bit into the ocean floor, his teeth sinking through the ooze and the bedrock. It was gooey, but not in a bad way, it was more like toffee and tasted like... ice-cream. That wasn't expected.

The massive equine started to eat his way towards the coast, cutting a channel through the ocean bottom that lead up towards the beach. He broke the surface as took a mouthful of sand, water washing into the gap left behind. With a shake of his head, which sent water flying in all directions, he started to eat his way across Equestria. It was slow going at first as he only seemed to be able to move a couple miles with each bite, but the more he ate of the land the larger he became allowing him to eat even more.

And eat was exactly what Soul Chaser did, anything that was between him and his destination found its way down his throat and into his demanding stomach. Plains, forests, mountains and lakes, even whole cites were hardly more the a couple mouthfuls to him now. All the while the ocean water washed into the trench left in his wake, flooding down into the ever deeper trench in the world. So lost in his own gluttony he didn't even notice he had reached his destination until he bit into the coast of the other ocean.

Lifting his head up to swallow his current mouthful, he watched as the ocean washed past his legs and down into the gap, millions of gallons washing down in moments to crash into the water of its sister. The two oceans mingling together as they finally became one body of water. The water was flowing so fast he could easily watch the level of the ocean sink.

"That's a good start," he mused to himself, his tail flicking from side to side as he turned back around and started eating his way back in the other direction. This time it went much faster, the land vanishing down his throat miles at a time. He crossed the land, back and forth, eating it faster and faster. None of it provided him any resistance and all tasted wonderful. Finally he reached the Crystal Mountains, the city itself hardly a crumb to him, though the tall spires tasted like rock candy. Maybe that was why dragons liked gems so much?

Soul Chaser let out a belch and dropped down into the ocean where the continent had been, though the water level was hardly half of what it was before. His head rose up high over the clouds, higher the any pegasus had ever flow before, so high he could see the Griffon Empire a thousand miles away, and even the dragon lands to the south. Even as he looked at them he felt his belly starting to growl in anticipation of his next meal.

He bent down, dropping his muzzle into the ocean and took a long drink of the salty brine. He'd had salt water before, but it never tasted so good! It wasn't just the salt either, there were so many other creatures mixed in as well: whales, sea serpents, even a whole under water Kingdome of seaponies (who oddly enough seem to be singing as he swallowed them down).

Rising up to all fours he started waddling his way across the shirking ocean, his huge belly swaying between his legs and bouncing around the inside of his lower legs while bulging out from around his barrel. He kept drinking with each step he took, sucking down the whole of the ocean as he came the former shores of the Griffon Empire. They massive snow capped mountains, many of them the tallest in the world, created a massive barrier between the main parts of the empire and the ocean.

Narrowing his eyes and flapping his fat laden wings, he opened his mouth wide and took a bite of the tallest mountain, cutting it down to half the size in a single mouthful. He gave himself a moment to savor the flavor, allowing it to roll over his tongue as the mountain joined so much else in his stomach. Another bite removed the rest of the massive stone edifice, his teeth scraping deep into the bedrock and soon the rest of the mountain range followed, leaving the empire stretched out before him. It was nearly as large as Equestria had been, but at his current size it didn't last anywhere near as long.

Chaser worked his way across the continent, eating half of it in a single pass, the second half vanishing a short time later. The remains of the ocean tried to wash in to fill the void, but there wasn't enough water left. Even the bedrock was starting to crack under his massive weight, his hooves sinking at least a mile into the ground with each step he took.

He started back across the ocean, drinking it again as he went. It wasn't easy, there was hardly any water left and he found himself shoving his muzzle down into every crack and canyon so he could get every single drop. Letting out a belch he moved forward to the dragons lands, an archipelago of seventy large island and a hundred smaller ones... though now without the ocean they were more like spires rising up miles into the air.

Opening his mouth as wide as he could he ate the largest of the island in a single go. As he bit into it the flavor of rock candies rushed over his tongue. It was the single strongest taste he had gotten in a long time and it made him pause for a moment, slowly chewing the stone and savoring the sweetness. Looking back down at where the island had been he could that the rock had been wrapped around a thick spire of pure gemstone, almost as big as the island itself.

"Oh, so that's why the dragons live here," he mused and ate the next island in the chain. This one was also filled with gems, but of a different flavor then the first. The next island was the same way, as was the one after it. Each one filled with more and different gems.

After he finished the last of the island he started on the ground under them, ripping up the former ocean floor to reveal that even that was made of gems. Letting out a pleased whinny he started to eat out every piece he could reach, digging deeper and deeper into the world. Soon the gems were getting squishy, like the gummy candies he used to have as a colt. He savored each bite until he broke through into the warm center of the world itself.

It had its own flavor, like melted caramel. He couldn't help himself, he shoved his head into the whole thing and started to suck down all of the creamy magma. He swallowed down muzzleful after muzzleful and felt the world start to shrink under him. The ground was buckling and sinking under his expanding weight as he gorged on the whole of the world itself.

Soul Chaser wrapped his cubby limbs around the planet, pulling it closer to him as he ate it out from the inside. As the surface started to break up under him, he grabbed each piece and shoved it into his muzzle. Huge slabs of stone and bedrock, tinged with the cooling magma. He pulled one large piece up to him, licking away everything that had been on the inside before snapping it in half and ate it in one bite.

Reaching out for the next piece he was surprised when his hoof didn't touch anything at all. He shook his head and looked around, surprised to find that all he could see was distant stars... that and Celestia's sun and Luna's moon lazily spinning around his corpulent form.

It took a moment for the magnitude of all of it to sink in. He had eaten everything, all of Equestria, the whole world itself. Every rock and stone, pony and griffon, they had all found their way into his bottomless stomach. He had eaten everything, every single thing. Just like he had always dreamed... and yet his stomach was still growling with hunger.

Not willing to allow such a call to go unheeded, he looked at the pair of bodies orbiting him and reached out his hooves towards the moon, flapping his massive fat covered wings to try and push him closer. He felt the edge of his hoof dig into the dusty surface when with a final belch his stomach finally quieted down. He found himself relaxing back into the spot where the world had once been, watching as the sun lazily spun around him, the light shining over his massive girth as he finally felt full. With a contented smile he closed his eyes and drifted off into a well earned sleep.

* * *

Soul Chaser blinking his eyes open, the sunlight streaming down onto his face. It took a few moments for him to register that he was seeing his own bedroom window, left half open as the curtains fluttered in the soft morning breeze. It had been a dream, a wonderful dream that had been better than any he had ever had before.

He licked his lips, almost swearing he could taste the last of the caramel flavor of the magma and sweetness of the gemstones. It had felt so incredibly real to him, and there were so many wonderful flavors. A small part of himself wondered if gem stones really did taste like rock candy. He would have to give it a try some day.

The stallion rolled over in bed, suddenly finding himself almost rolling right out of it! Reaching up he rubbed his hooves over his eyes then looked down at himself. He was huge! his whole body was thick with fat. His belly arched out against his legs, rolling almost to his knees and very soft to the touch. He had never been this big before... but it felt wonderful. He rolled properly out of bed, landing on his hooves and feeling the new weight settling around him. He flexed out his wings, fluttering them a bit and then flapping down and lifting himself a few inches off the ground. He could still fly, but it was a close thing.

Settling back down onto his hooves he shook his head. "What kind of strange dream was that... or was it real?" he mused as he turned back around to his bed, letting out a soft gasp when he saw there was a small box sitting on his night table, wrapped with a multi-hued bow.

He slowly walked over to the box, finding that there was a small folded piece of paper tucked under it. Slowly he pulled it out and unfolded it, finding that it was filled with some of the neatest magical writing he had ever seen.

Dear Soul Chaser,

I would like to thank you for the wonderful diversion you have provided me. I do hope you enjoyed being able to fulfill your wish to eat everything and the weight that it granted you.

To show my gratitude I have provided you with one last gift for your enjoyment, I hope that you find them filling.

Your Loving Monarch, Princess Celestia

He gawked at the letter, both amazed that the Princess even knew his name, let alone had written him a letter! It took a few moments to realizing that his feast might have had some sort of reality to it after all. Licking his lips again he pulled open the ribbon and nosed open the box. Inside was a perfect replica of both the sun and the moon. The first the size of grapefruit and the other about the size of an orange. The miniature sun flicked with light and warmth while the moon shimmered with silver light... and had a hoof mark across the face of it.

Slowly he reached down with his fore hoof and held it against the moon. It wasn't just a hoof mark, it was his hoof mark. They weren't just replicas.

"It was really real?" he whispered, pulling his hoof away before reaching out and tapping it gently against the sun, feeling the heat from it.

Tucked behind the pair of celestial bodies was another small slip of paper with writing on it. Lifting it up he felt himself blushing.

We must do it again someday.

With a huge smile he took a bite out of the moon, chewing happily on it and savoring the flavor. Hoping that someday would come sooner than later!
