red's pov)
the next day Red wakes up in the hospital room, he sits up rubbing his head until he felt ears on top of his head screaming in shock
"what is this ?!! "
he shouted getting out of bed but falls and looks down at his wrapped leg, then it started to come back to him as he remembered that he didn't get to kill Mathew, then the nurse comes in
"How are you feeling red, are you ok?" the nurse asked helping him up and put him back in the bed
" what the fuck happened to me?!"
red shouted as the nurse looked at his ears and tail
" Aw, so cute, you're a kitty"
she said as he reached out to touch his ear but red slapped her hand away
"please don't touch, where is tsume?"
"she's in the recovery room with her mother"
she answered as she started to rub his car ears making him purr in delight from her touch, it almost turned into a moan but snapped out of it and jumped out of bed
"STOP IT!!"
"looks like your ok"
said a voice as red looked to see rey and tsume's mom
"im glad your ok red " tsume's mom said as she hugged him
"um yeah thanks but can you tell me what the hell is up with my head please"
red said pointing to his ears
"it happens when you went crazy trying to kill that soldier guy, and from what my guess is, it happened from the crystal you have "
rey said as red pulled out his red crystal
"now that your up maybe you would like to see tsume?"
"yes please, is she ok"
"she's fine the two of you are healing rather fast thanks to your crystal"
rey told him as the nurse gave red crutches for him to walk on his still injured leg, red followed them to the other tent to see tsume up as the nurse was checking on her, once she was done she saw red and waved trying to speak but her voice was weak
"my tsume!"
red said as he made his way over to her and hopped into her bed as he two hugged, red and tsume's mom watched with a smile on their face
"im so glad that our ok"
"Yeah same here, by the way, nice ears"
tsume said looking at his car ears as red blushes
"thank but I wish they were gone now, im scared that someone might grab them like the nurse lady did"
"awww poor kitty"
tsume said as she grabbed his ears and started to rub them making him purr as he had his head on her lap purring
"such a good red kitty" tsume said with a giggle, after an hour of the two talking rey told red he should get some rest but he refused and hissed at Rey only for his father to walk in and drag them out.
" Dad put me down!"
Red shouted as his dad who had him over his shoulder
" hold on, I'm not taking you back to your room I actually am taking you to the chef he wants to have a chat with you"
Red and his dad went into the tent as they were giving the report about Matthews Final Judgement but of course his judgments didn't stand on education it just had him locked up, this made red very upset as he broke the chair's armrest that he was sitting in surprising everyone
" red calm down it's not all that bad "
His dad said
" not bad, that bastard almost had me and my best friend killed! And what do you do nothing!"
" excuse me but I'm not done, " said the soldier as he continued to read the reports " but because we didn't finish him as you wanted it I'm pretty sure you will be happy to know that he died from the injuries you gave him "
" And now I'm happy "
red said hugging his dad as the two left the tent, red and his dad hang out for a while as his dad wanted to make sure that his son was alright. He didn't want to bring up any of the pain that his son felt but he wanted to make sure if he can still go on with the mission
" I know what you're thinking and you're right we should get the Innocents out of here and only leave the military along with me,tsume and rey behind"
" but red..."
" I know what you're going to say but don't worry I'm totally fine and besides with Rey on our side I'm pretty sure that old fart won't let anything happen to us"
" I may be an old fart but I'm not that old "
Rey said coming around the corner
" and besides I believe that your son is right, we should continue to move the Innocents upwards and allow us to finish taking care of the Grim that's still some remain in the town"
" Are you sure that's such a good idea?"
red's dad asked
" well the three of us and the military working together nothing is impossible"
" yes but... Red you know it's not going to be an easy task especially with all the people that are hiding and some that have been lost, are you sure you're willing to continue this?"
"of course, I am, if tsume is willing then I am willing to"
red said as they heard one of the soldiers yell raise the gates as military trucks came in with more survivors
" they're bringing in more people?"
"Yes, this military base is from base C their base was demolished by Grimm so they came to us we are bass A"
"I see"
red said as Rey and his dad along with red went over to the soldiers encounter people, as red was watching the people exit out of the car there were kids that were dressed in a school uniform that red recognize. They were the kids from another school that was only a blocks down from his.
" oh my God you're red "
Said a student as he ran over to red
"Um, do I know you?"
" No, but we heard from our base that there were two fighters that took care of the Grim in a single swipe"
The boy said happily as the red was now surrounded by a whole lot of students who were asking him a lot of questions
" so what is it true you and this other Fighter are fighting the Grim to save us?"
A random girl asked
"Well um, it's not like is a big deal it just ..."
" It is it true that you're actually using guns and swords?"
"yes but..."
" I heard our teacher said that you two are the bravest kids alive two had ever survived an attack like what you guys are doing you guys are actually practically Heroes "
"Um thanks"
red said nervously as they continue to ask him questions and he couldn't get away until he was pulled by the collar of his shirt out of the crowd of kids, as he looked to see who saved him and was surprised to see jake
" you okay dude?"
jake asked as red was speechless and couldn't find the words to speak
"red snap back to reality!"
Jake said snapping his fingers
" Sorry, um wait, Jake, what are you doing here?"
" and now he speaks, if you must know our base was taken down by Grimm "
" wait you're fighting Grimm's ?"
" of course I am what do you think I've been doing "
" why the hell didn't you call us?"
" well first of all the cell phones are cut so using walkie-talkie and trying to get one from the military isn't as easy as you make it look. Once our military base was taken over by Grimm it kind of got pretty drastic from there "
Jake said as his fist grip tightly
" But when I overheard about 2 kids fighting with the military and easily killing the Grimm I was impressed, but I was even more happy to know that you and tsume are still alive "
jake said with a smile making red blush more then he saw jake had a gun hostel on his hip
"i see they gave you a weapon"
"yeah well, I was the only one who was willing to fight "
" well I guess it wouldn't be such a bad thing for me to ask if you wanted to join team R&T"
red asked
"R&T, what is that?"
" it's me and tsume's team name "
"Wait, you're part of that R&T team?!"
jake says surprised as every was listening
"uh, yeah, is that so bad?"
" so that means the two letters standing for red and tsume, the teachers and the military back at our camp would talk about you guys Non-Stop and it was spoken so highly of you so I had no idea"
jake said
" so, does that mean we're famous?"
red asking wagging his tail as jake spotted his ears and tail and instantly reaches out and grabs his ears
" Are these real?"
jake asked as he started to rub them and instantly red started purring as its tail wags faster
" please oh please do it more"
red begged as jake laughed
" I'll take that as a yes "
jake said as he counters to rub his ears until a bully from jake school came up to him
"well if it isn't the gay couple, look everybody jake found himself a man"
the bull Marcus said laugh with his group behind him
" And to think that jake was the only freak alive it turns out that he found another mutant freak that escapes the lab with him"
Marcus left as red pulled away from Jake and walked over to Marcus
" got something to say freak"

Red said as he incidentally grab Marcus by the throat lifting them off the ground
" let's get one thing straight I am not in the mood for you and your bull crap"
Red said coldly as his grip started to tighten around Marcus' neck seeing him shivered in fear and couldn't get away from his grip
" Now let's get one thing straight if I ever hear you insult jake again you will die, if you insult me you will die, and let's not forget the most important person in my life you try to insult tsume trust me buddy you will die and if you ever speak badly about us or as our title as Huntsman trust me, you will not be going to the hospital "
Red said as he pulled out his gun-blade pointing it at Marcus
" Do we understand each other now?"
red asked as jake put a hand on Red's shoulder ignoring his dark aura
"let him go it's not worth it"
jake said as red dropped him as then the admiral came up to them
"what going on here ?"
" nothing sir" jake answered
"Good, jake go back to your post, as for you red I need you at the shooting range to show the new recruit how it's done"
"what about tsume?"
"her mother believes it's best if she stays in bed for more rest"
The admiral said as Red nodded and followed him to the shooting range, leaving the bullies in shock of what happened
tsume pov)
tsume wakes up from her nap as her eyes widen when she saw her mom kissing rey, she watches them for a while wanting to put a bullet through Rey's head but then again, acted like she was sleeping in order to hear the conversation
" I'm sorry I know I shouldn't get my hopes up especially with you being..."
" It's alright I understand, and I'm sure she will too "
rey said walking over to tsume as he poked her cheek repeatedly
" nice try tsume but I knew you were awake and watching and listening to us you little sneak "
" You're lucky that I can't jump up and knock you upside the head with my baseball bat "
She said opening her eyes and glaring daggers at rey
" You have quite a mouth for someone that was shot in the stomach"
" tsume! what did I tell you about ease dropping!"
Her mom shouted
" It's not my fault you were kissing in my room, you two should..."
tsume started as she set up only to feel dizzy , she felt pain near her stomach making her look down to see the sheets getting covered in blood causing her to hyperventilate as she had flashback of the incident of the boy being ripped to shreds by Grimm's, and the flashback of red getting shot in the leg as the two of them fell in the Elevator Shaft
" tsume!"
rey Continue to call tsume's name as he tried to calm her shaking body but to no avail, rey told her mom to call the nurse as tsume was having a panic attack
meanwhile at the shooting stand *
" Okay people listen up the hybrid Grim that we last encounter a day ago by myself and tsume wasn't as easy to take down as we thought, this bad boy has two weak spots but in my opinion it is best to just go for the wings if you take out the wings the bird goes down fine, but it isn't that easy to shoot far range than it is to close range as you can see on the chart here I have three X's of where you supposed to aim for the birds weakness, by the shoulder blades along with the admin of the bird they may not make sense to you but shooting it in the head will not get it to go down at all you'll just piss it off, now allow me to show you a demonstration of where to shoot your target" Red said as he grabbed a normal handgun and aim it at the Target puppet but then before he could pull the trigger he froze in place and started shivering as he had flashbacks of a bloody scene from the underground area his eyes widen in his shock as his hands shook causing him to drop the loaded gun that set off when it hit the ground almost shooting the chief that's the beside him, the chief tried to calm Red's shaking body as he called for medic immediately.
Back with tsume *
rey held tsume's mother back as they watched the doctors and nurses do their thing, the mother was so fearful of losing her daughter she couldn't help but cry. Once they were able to stabilize tsumethe doctor had a talk with Rey and her mom outside the tent
" everything is okay your daughter is fine it was nothing but a relapse, I'm guessing the attack in the underground must have damaged her badly"
The doctor said as then an another doctor came in the room and told them that the boy red had collapsed on the shooting range, making Ray curse under his breath at what was happening
" this isn't good... I have to do something "
rey said to himself as he told tsume's mom that he will be back,rey made his way back to the portal to Beacon and found a signal and called Glynda , he explained that tsume and red we're having relapse over the terrible experiences that they had in the underground and was worried that the two would never be able to fight again but Glynda reassured him and told him that she has just the thing to help her two students even if they were annoying .
at the school*
" so all I have to do is inject this into them?"
rey asked looking at the two syringe that had blue liquid into them
" yes so don't worry whatever they saw down there would be replaced with another memory so it wouldn't harm them anymore, they're just kids and I don't blame them for being so frightened, they should never have gone through that terrible experience"
Glynda said as rey took them and thanked her and headed back to the camp, once back rey enters the tent and saw tsume and red awake playing Jenga
" I see you are up how are you guys ?"
" nothing like a good long sleep to cure the day away "
tsume said as rey nodded then set the two syringes down until the Red's dad came in
"rey, I'm starting to have second thoughts of red and tsume continuing this they're just kids they shouldn't be going through this anymore "
" I know that you are concerned about their well-being and so am I but don't underestimate them before they get to show you exactly what they're able to do "
" Are you crazy, they're just kids "
" yes kids that are fighting against Monsters for a better future, without these two trust me you guys wouldn't have a chance of living, the whole entire human race would have been wiped out from day one "
rey said as he held up one of the syringes
" But I'm about to change all that with this "
" what is that?"
" don't worry I got it from a friend of mine This should help them stabilize their fears"
" stabilize "
" yes whatever they see such as blood or Gore will be erased and be turned into something else "
" but how is that possible?"
" I can't explain to you exactly how it works all I know is that this thing will get these two back in shape "
rey said as he walked over to tsume and red and injected them with the serum
