A New Life in a New Body

First Strike

It had been several weeks since the last hunt for information; we had gotten everything we need. Since then we had robbed local business, gun shops, ammo supply, and any thing we could use to finally start mobilization. I need to see if this will actually work before I involve others.

Klaw will be carrying all of the heavy equipment, Chris will be watching our six, Lisa will be offering covering fire, and I'll be breaking in and hacking into the system. My plan is simple brake in, get the sniffers out, and finding everything else we need. We also will need to setup defenses in case anyone tries to get in.

I also had the chance to acquire a medical kit. Hopefully I never have to use it but I feel safer knowing we have it. Along with my training in Spec Ops I am also trained in rapid medical response, or field medics. I am not perfect but I had to cut a bullet out of my leg, it hurt but I saved my life.

I was staring out the window, just thinking to myself about the impending assault. Lisa walked up to me as if she knew what I was thinking. She sat down next to me and just held me closely. I was making everyone else worried about this as well; I was only making them nervous because this was the real deal.

"Don't worry it will be fine," Lisa said.

"I know it's just that this could mean the beginning of the resistance," I replied.

"Well it is going to change the world," She admitted.

"I hope that you don't get hurt, you've never seen combat," I said.

"Well, that's true but I'm sure we will all be fine," Lisa said comforting me.

"Thanks I really needed that," I said, "well we had better get some sleep the assaults in 12 hours."

We went down into the basement, where the beds were. We had since moved into the same bed. We never really did anything, just slept in the same bed, I just seem to find her presence comforting. I found she was much more comfortable with me and wanted me to sleep in her bed.

Twelve hours later we were behind the Sniffers Headquarters. I was hacking into the system, triggering the fire alarm the nearest fire department was at least 100 miles away. Once all personnel were out we would go in and kill any who were ordered to stay behind. We each had a shotgun, pistol and a different type of assault weapon.

I had got into the protocol and told it to trigger a minute later. I started to work on the lock on the door. It was actually easy; it wasn't the hardest lock to open. It was a civilian lock not a militant lock, odd for a high class facility.

"Get ready to go in 5...4...3...2...1... Now," I exclaimed.

They charged in, guns raised, ready to kill in a moment. We went into a unlocked room, I checked the cameras... not good none of them were going to leave. Perfect. They are just making us fight trough all of them. I told them that they weren't going down without a fight. Good thing there were only about thirty of them on duty. We went in two groups me and Chris went upstairs. Klaw and Lisa covered the main floor. There were about fifteen guards on both floors.

We came across the first door, I went on one side Chris stayed on the other. I pulled up my shotgun, and aimed at the door handle. I pulled the trigger and kicked the door in and shot at the nearest guard. Chris came up and started hosing the other two guards with automatic weapons fire.

"Clear," Chris exclaimed.

We went into the next room and cleared it too. The search went well we had found a lot of good information. We also found some AA12 shotguns (automatic assault {this is an acual weapon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ebtj1jR7c } ) these could fire up to three hundred rounds per hour. These also had grenade rounds an epic feat for a shotgun.

After we had obtained everything we could we went down stairs. We saw that Klaw was holding something on his leg. I ran over to see what the problem was. I moved his hand... he was hurt bad I had never seen anything like this before on any one who lived. I got my k-bar in order to try to get the bullet out. But then I decided against it the bullet hit a main artery. He wouldn't live... even if I had been there before. He must have seen the look in my eyes be cause he said:

"I'm not going to make it am I," he said already knowing the answerer.

"I'm afraid not," I replied.

We told him we were sorry that he meant more to us than he could imagine. He died shortly after, we left after that I was driving. No one spoke the whole way back. It had worked but if that was the cost it wasn't worth it. Back at the house I went immediately went upstairs. Stared out the window and sat down, Lisa sensing my distress sat down next to me and cried with me. We didn't say anything there was no need to. I still feel like its my fault...
