Yuji smiled when he awoke the next morning as he met Starsha outside with a hug before then began sparing quite heavy. Using Ki and martial arts in combination looking like they were dancing with each other they knew both there limits and did push to get even better Starsha had evolved into a lucario a year ago but still remembered all that was taught to her as a Rilou it just took a bit and about the full year to bring her new body up to speed, but she only recently felt fully confident in her abilities once more. Catching Yuji off guard and knocking him silly into the cave that was nearby their den. When she heard what sounded like a group of meoweth and skitty. She rushed over to see Yuji curled into a ball as he was reliving some memory training from his past as she felt a cold sweat" oh dear god the Nekoken." She said scared as she ran off to ask her father for help as his adopted family knew of the barbaric training Gemna had put him through what triggered is as he said he had overcome the fear.
Fear is a funny thing but it proved that is was not fear but reliving the memories that he had been put through by his real father at this age. You see to learn the Nekoken according to Gemna you throw a young child into a pit of staving cats wrapping in food the cats can attack forcing the subject to think he is a cat. The fool never read the last page which states only a fool would train in this forbidden style for the subject would go insane or would be afraid of cats and think he was a cat when surrounded by them. Only the meoweth, skitty and the Persian which star did not see when she looked. Yuji had mastered the Nekoken curing his fear and having the blessing of Bast who had originally created the style for use by cats. Yuji had the soul of a cat and a dragon. He could also change his forms, these now blood traits were awakening in Yuji as he would need them in the future. The Persian walked over and in the voice of Bast "good morning my child. Sorry for the gene awakening so soon but you know what needs to be done. You are almost at when you were when you were 18 on your home plane. You will only get stronger as time goes on but you have a big job ahead of you here but one I think you will enjoy" by this time Starsha came back with her father to hear this.
Starsha smile knowing the horror stories Yuji told of his past training thankfully he will not go through the fear spells "you see my child anthro's are going to be showing up here in this world and they will need someone to watch over them and teach them. I think with all you been through you deserve a bit of peace, you are going to have quite a large family in the future so keep an open mind and remember your not just human anymore" with that Yuji chuckled and smiled up at star" oh I know, I have my soul mate again" star blushed and turned a bit red and Bast laughed" oh my child, you have found but one of three that will meet you on your journey and yes Ranko will be with you she was reborn here as well, though I can tell you one is human and the other is a pokemon. Two you know including Starsha, you see Lucious has human DNA in him one of his ancestors was human. That is why Starsha looks more humanlike than feral lucario hence her black hair and blue eyes"
This shocked Starsha looking t her father for confirmation which he nodded his head to star. This did take Yuji back some and tilted his head she was right he was not human anymore since becoming a dragon and merging with his lion curse. (Yes Yuji had a water curse like his brother only he turned into a grey lion with a black mane) he looked at Bast and chuckled softly" guess I am going to have my own pride, well star will be my alpha mate that is if she will accept me as such"
Now star was red all over blushing furiously "I love you Yuji and have for many a year even when I knew nothing of love of mates. I could not live apart from you. You are my everything" her father was proud and knew this to be true love so he nodded his agreement to star who smiled and hugged her dad fiercely" thank you daddy" she said in a small tiny voice.
Yuji was on cloud nine as he focused himself and stood up before Bast" well let us see if it works the same way here as it did back there. Hope you don't dislike cats star" with that said he got into a loose fighting stance and yelled "NEKOKEN MERGER" a bright light washed over Yuji as to Lucious and Starsha it seems Yuji was evolving. But in reality it was the final technique to merge his water born curse into curing the Nekoken and making it usable as he would have the anthro form or a Grey Lion with a Black mane and ice blue eyes like he has in his human form(see picture from chapter one) he flexed his hands now humanoid paws and begins going through kata as he gets used to his old form made new and young" this will take some getting used to, whoa even with all the training I have done it did not come close enough for preparation for this. I think that is what drove most insane if they did not accept their nature and spirit totem inside me which is a Bastet, bout the closest I am to being anthro" he stopped and thought a bit" ok dragon form will take a lot more Ki stores than I have now so we will be training heavy sweetheart, your Ki wells are larger than mine and from what I am gathering from my experience your people may have an advanced form or Mega form. Rumor had it through stories I have read in the quite extensive and detailed library there Dad, there are a few things that might be possible that we can help for all pokemon but if the training path I am seeing is true and that can use aura or as I call it Ki" he charged a small sphere of Ki" ok all principals hold true, never been able to actually see what was happening when I worked into what I had before just I was not going to put myself through the same type of training again was torture the first time around at least I remembered how to correct it to get the same effects and less mental trauma my fathers insults used to get to me in the beginning"
Star rushed over to Yuji and put her arms around him holding him. He smile and put his arms around her" Thank you star" he was a little afraid at first seeing as he realized he would have a dragon form now as well once he was ready for it "I have no idea how my dragon form will look and if memory serves me right it will be when I turn 19 got five years before that happens at least" he chuckled a bit and hugged her.
Thus was the pattern for the next year to come and Yuji and Star worked on perfecting the art they had learned. Yuji's Ki reserves expanded quicker do to his accepting of his cat spirit. The water born curse seemed to always show up when he was 13 no matter HW many times he was reincarnated and the gift of the cold dragon would show up on his 18th birthday but his Ki reserves were stay way to small to support that change. Other than his hand to hand he also relearned the art of the sword this helped him gain strength and he still remembered the style his mother Nodika taught him so many ages ago. But starting from scratch was a bit harder it was during this year of training that he began forging his own Katana with metal he dug up here the steel was naturally more pure here so folding the metal would make it all the more durable.
He was in the Makeshift forge next to their home when star walk in as he was pounding away to make a good billet so he could forge the blade from it" good morning love" he put his hammer down and walked over and held her softy giving her a loving kiss and snuggle" did you sleep well last night" she smiled to him and returned the kiss "best night I have in a long time. I see you about have your billet made." He nodded and grinned" actually this is the second, the first is cooling, I am not just making a sword for me but for you as well, we have practiced with the Bokkens growing up now we can start using steel since we understand the meaning of steel." He grinned showing a lot of wisdom there even though he was young" I will have to take your measurements so that the sword is made just for you I am going to use a bit of Ki reinforcement to strengthen the blade but you will have to be with me when I start casting it since it will have to have your Ki so only you can wield the blade" star looked at his wide eyed" you are able to work with your aura to do many things now. You are a very amazing mate my love. I am so glad we found you"
Yuji chuckled at this" Love problem is this is not new but that I have to train my body to the condition it was before. That is going to take time most of all but I am only 13 right now but most likely could hold my own against most that would attack us." He stared off in though when star got his attention with a quick kiss" you mean we love, you are no longer alone and we will face everything together" he smiled and nodded "I know love, from the studying I have done at least here they do not have a problem with us being together as mates here but other regions we might have a problem with Kanto being one of them. If a human and pokemon are in a relationship they think it unhealthy and put the pokemon down like it was the problem and I will be damned and dipped in boiling oil before they will do that to us so Kanto is out of the question for now till it is time to deal with the rockets"
He put the second billet next to the first and smile knowing the twin blades would only be able to be held by him or star. The rest of the day was set aside for Ki training as those reserves would have to get larger. He put on his weighted clothing and the weights on his arms and legs. He had started wearing these when he began training at 5 pounds per weight, now he was up to 100 pounds on each limb and moved like there was no weight on him his body was becoming chiseled and buffed.
