The Morning After

Author's Note: Yeah, this is an author's note, rather than my now-standard obligatory content warning. Why? Two reasons. First, there isn't much content to warn about (except NUDE CUBS CUDDLING, and some BRIEF SEXUAL EXPLORATION BETWEEN MALE CUBS, so there's your warning, you bastards). Secondly... I feel I need to explain myself here. I don't know how many of my readers have been following me since I started posting Summer Camp Adventures, but... it's been a while since I started that one. Checking up on CC, I posted my last installment of the series, Happy Homecoming, on July 22, 2007, almost two years ago. Since then, I've only revisited the series twice, in a special story for Christmas 2008, and Summer Pond earlier this year (both of which take place after this story, chronologically). I haven't done much more with the series, because I've been sitting on this particular story, not having ANY FUCKING CLUE how to finish it. I'm sick of waiting, and more importantly, I'm sick of keeping YOU, my readers, waiting. I'm not happy with how this story came out, but it's the best I can do. I'm going to release this as-is, and move on with my series. For those of you who slogged on through this rather wordy intro (and got past my content warning)... thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the story, despite its lack of yiffy content.

Sunlight snuck into the room between the curtains, shedding a solitary beam of light across the two sleeping figures. Robbie yawned and stretched, rubbing sleep from his eyes. It took him a moment to register two facts. First, there was a warm body behind him; and second, he was completely naked.

He rolled around to look at the warm body as the memories of last night slowly came back to him. He murred softly as he looked at the still-sleeping wolf boy he'd spent the night with. Robbie leaned in and whispered, "Wake up, sleepy head."

Martin stirred and muttered in his sleep, "Mooom... just five more minutes." He pulled the sheets up over his head, eliciting a giggle from the fox.

"Martin, c'mon, wake up," Robbie said, pulling the sheet from the wolf's grasp.

The wolf's eyes popped open, and he looked around. "Oh. Mornin', Robbie," he said as he stretched. He paused mid-way through his stretch. "Robbie... when did you pull a sheet over us?"

Robbie's eyes widened. He was clearly caught off guard by the question. "Uuuh," he said, ears flicking as he thought. "Come to think of it... I don't remember pulling a sheet over us. I thought maybe you did it..."

"Wasn't me," Martin said, finishing his stretch. "I wonder who it-"

Robbie cut him off. "Martin, look," he said, pointing to the dresser. The wolf followed his friend's finger, and his eyes came to rest on the clothes they'd discarded last night. They were neatly folded, stacked in a neat pile atop the dresser.

The two cubs looked at each other and gulped. "Uh, oh," they said in unison.

"Musta been one of your parents," Martin said apprehensively.

Robbie shuddered. "Don't know what they'd think of it," he said slowly.

Martin scratched his head and shrugged. "Guess we'll find out when we get downstairs."

The two cubs crawled out of bed and dressed in silence. Robbie looked at his watch and saw that it was nearly nine. He wondered briefly about breakfast as he and Martin slowly walked down the hall towards the stairs.

As the two cubs reached the top of the stairs, their sensitive noses picked up a familiar scent. They inhaled the scent, and recognized it as the sweet smell of pancakes cooking.

The sweet aroma overrode any fears the cubs had as their stomachs took over. Robbie and Martin bounded down the stairs, and burst into the kitchen.

"Morning, boys!" Terry greeted the two cubs as they crawled over each other to get to the table first.

"Morning, mom," Robbie said absently as he took his seat.

"Pancaaaaaaakes," Martin said, drooling as he stared at the large stack in the middle of the table.

Terry giggled. "Help yourselves, boys. There's plenty!"

Martin reached out and grabbed a few pancakes, dropping one on Robbie's plate and the rest on his own. "Don't mind if I do, Mrs. Langley!" he said, as he poured a generous amount of syrup over his pancakes.

Robbie looked around the table, and noticed that Ellie and Jimmy had already started their own breakfast. Ellie was sitting right next to Martin. Robbie gulped. 'This can't be good,' he thought.

Ellie leaned in towards the two and said, "Took you guys long enough to get here!" She quickly added, in a whisper just loud enough for Robbie and Martin to hear, "You two have fun last night?"

The little vixen's barely suppressed giggles didn't seem to faze the wolf. "What's it too ya?" he asked as he cut a large chunk of pancake away and shoved it into his mouth.

"Oh, nothing," she muttered, and Jimmy and Ellie exchanged grins.

Robbie watched the two, eyebrow raised in confusion.

The fox didn't have much time to ponder his sister's odd behavior.

"I bet I can eat more pancakes than you!" Martin said, sticking his tongue out at Ellie.

The vixen glared at the wolf, and grabbed another pancake from the plate in the middle. "You're on! I'm already on my fourth!" she said, pouring syrup over her pancake and starting to eat it.

Martin growled softly and grabbed two more. "I'll show you who can eat more," he muttered, using the large puddle of syrup on his plate for his pancakes, and he dug in to numbers four and five.

Robbie sighed and rolled his eyes, calmly eating his own pancake. "I give up," he muttered.

Several minutes and numerous pancakes later, Martin and Ellie collapsed, each groaning and nursing their full tummies.

"T-told you I could eat more," Martin muttered.

Ellie glared at him from the floor. "If you barf, I win," she spat.

Martin returned the glare. "Whoever barfs first loses!" he responded.

"Cubs, please don't talk about vomit at the table," Terry said.

"Yeah, SOME of us haven't been trying to stuff our faces like idiots, and would like to keep our food down," Robbie said.

Jimmy giggled, and the two stuffed cubs on the floor groaned and crawled into the living room, Jimmy close at their heels.

"Where's dad, by the way?" Robbie asked as he calmly finished his breakfast.

"Oh, he went to rescue Jimmy's father," Terry replied. "He was in an accident on the highway. No injuries, but his car is pretty banged up, or so he said."

Robbie nodded. "Why didn't Jimmy go with him?" he asked.

Terry smiled. "He was still asleep when Keith called, and we didn't want to wake him up and send him out without breakfast."

Robbie giggled a bit. "Didn't dad eat anything?"

Terry shook her head. "No, but Keith promised to get him coffee and a breakfast sandwich from Dunkin' Donuts if he went, and you KNOW how much your father loves Dunkin' Donuts!" she said with a wink.

Robbie giggled and rolled his eyes, then got up from the table. "Thanks for breakfast, mom!" he said as he started gathering up the plates.

Terry reached out and grabbed his wrist, shaking her head. "I'll get the dishes," she said sweetly. "You go have fun with your friend... and keep Martin and Ellie from killing each other," she added.

"Alright!" Robbie said, and bounded out of the kitchen.

As he entered the living room, it became immediately apparent that there was little to worry about in terms of Martin and Ellie's rivalry. Both cubs were slumped on opposite sides of the couch, eyes shut, clutching their stomachs. Jimmy sat serenely in a recliner nearby, smiling at both of them, his tail swishing slowly behind him.

Martin opened his eyes a bit and looked at Robbie as he entered. "Your sister can EAT," he muttered.

Ellie opened her eyes a bit and stuck her tongue out at the wolf. "And don't you forget it," she muttered softly, and groaned, leaning over.

Robbie rolled his eyes. He turned towards the kitchen and bumped right into his mother's chest. He bounced off and blushed deeply, looking up at his mother.

Terry smiled and set down two bowls, one each near Ellie and Martin. "In case you two need to vomit, I don't want you getting it on the carpet," she said brightly. "Try to aim for the bowls if you can't make it to the bathroom."

Robbie giggled a bit, still blushing. "I was just going to get those," he said.

The vixen grinned at her son. "Great minds think alike," she said, and ruffled Robbie's headfur affectionately before returning to the kitchen.

Robbie flopped down into a different recliner and watched his friend and his sister with a bemused expression. He didn't notice Jimmy getting up until he was standing right next to him.

"Mind if I join ya?" the little kit asked.

Robbie blinked and stared at his sister's friend a moment, then shrugged and shifted in his chair. "Sure," he said.

Jimmy grinned and sat down next to Robbie, snuggling up close to the older cub. Robbie absent mindedly put an arm around his shoulders as he watched the two on the couch. Each groaned, and Robbie giggled a bit.

Ellie turned her head and opened her eyes enough to see Jimmy snuggled up to Robbie. "He's mine," she muttered.

Jimmy giggled. "Well, I don't wanna snuggle you in case you puke. I don't wanna get covered in it!" he said.

Robbie rolled his eyes. "Lovely imagery," he muttered.

The two cubs on the couch groaned.

"Don't say 'puke,'" Martin muttered.

The younger fox snuggled close to Robbie, and he tentatively put an arm around the little kit's shoulders.

Suddenly, the telephone rang, and the two cubs jumped. They heard Terry pick up the phone in the kitchen, and tuned out.

Jimmy nuzzled the older cub, getting almost uncomfortably close.

"Uh... Jimmy?" Robbie said.

The little cub smiled up at the older cub. "Yeah, Robbie?"

"You're getting very... clingy," Robbie said, shifting uncomfortably.

"Sorry," Jimmy said, blushing a bit and backing off slightly.

Terry walked into the living room. "Robbie, I'm going to take a walk down to chat with Jimmy's mom before his dad gets home. Think you can keep an eye on the house while I'm away?"

Robbie looked over at the lump of wolf on the couch, then back at his mother. "Sure, mom. With those two out of it, I don't think it'll be that hard."

The two cubs on the couch groaned again, and Terry giggled.

"Alright, sweet heart," Terry said, walking over and giving her son a quick kiss on his forehead. "I'll be back in an hour or two," she said. "Remember, don't answer the phone unless it's me, don't answer the door, and don't burn the house down!"

"I won't, mom!" Robbie said.

Terry grinned, then looked over at the cubs on the couch. "Martin, think you might be up for heading home now, since I'm heading out that way, anyway?"

Martin rolled off the couch and slowly got to his paws. "Sure," he said. He slowly walked towards the stairs.

"I'll help you get your things together!" Robbie said, getting up and dashing upstairs.

The fox went right to his room and looked around. He realized that the clothes on the dresser included everything that Martin had taken with him to camp. He started packing it up into Martin's bag as the wolf came in, still clutching his belly with one paw.

Martin groaned and collapsed on the floor, watching as Robbie packed his clothes. "Remind me never to eat that much again," Martin muttered.

Robbie giggled and gave the wolf's nose a gentle flick. "You're the one who was having the eating contest with my sister, you doofus."

Martin rolled onto his back and groaned again. "Bad idea..." he said.

"Duh," Robbie replied, and gave the wolf a quick kiss on his forehead before plopping the wolf's filled backpack on his belly.

"Oof. It didn't feel this heavy yesterday," Martin said, pushing himself up.

"Yeah, and you probably weren't as heavy yesterday," Robbie teased.

Martin groaned again as he got to his footpaws. Robbie hugged him and gave him a quick kiss on his lips.

The wolf smiled and returned the kiss. "I'll miss ya, buddy," Martin whispered.

Robbie nodded. "I'll miss you, too," he replied. "But at least we live really close," he said brightly.

Martin giggled softly and nodded. "True," he said. "C'mon, let's go."

The two cubs walked back downstairs, Martin getting a little more of his spunk back as he walked off his large breakfast.

"Ready to go?" Terry asked as the cubs reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Ready as ever, I guess," Martin said. "See ya, Robbie."

"See ya," Robbie said.

"I'll be back later," Terry said, leading Martin out. "Be good!" she said as she pulled the door shut.

Robbie sighed and turned around. He jumped as he found Jimmy standing right behind him.

"Robbie?" Jimmy said.

Robbie stared at the little fox standing before him. "Yeah, Jimmy?" he said slowly.

Jimmy peeked over his shoulder at Ellie, then whispered to Robbie, "C-could we go up to your room for a bit?"

Robbie blinked, then nodded. "Uh... sure," he said, and he slowly walked upstairs, the smaller kit following close behind.

The two pups remained silent until they got into Robbie's room. The older kit sat down on his bed, watching curiously as Jimmy shut the door behind him and walked over to the bed.

"So," Robbie said, shifting uncomfortably as Jimmy sat down next to him. "What did you wanna come here for?"

Jimmy leaned against the older fox and looked up at him. "I was finkin... about yesterday at the pond... and what Martin said you two do wif each other..."

Robbie blushed and looked away. "What about it?" he said.

"I was wondering," Jimmy whispered. "If maybe... you'd do some of that with me?"

Robbie's eyes widened, and he snapped his head around to look at the little kit. "I thought you were 'all Ellie's,'" he said.

Jimmy blushed deeply and nodded. "I am... but I'm reeeeeeally curious... please? Just once?" he pleaded, looking up at the fox with large, puppy-dog eyes.

Robbie shifted again, trying to put a little distance between him and the kit. "Well... what would you wanna do?" he asked.

Jimmy leaned in and wrapped his arms around Robbie's waist. "C-could I... touch your..." He pointed to Robbie's crotch, the words catching in his throat from nerves.

Robbie stood up. "I guess," he said as he pulled his shorts down. "But you have to let me touch yours, too," he added quickly.

Jimmy nodded and stood as well, slowly removing his own clothes as Robbie pulled off his shirt. The little kit sat back down on the bed as Robbie pulled off his underwear.

Robbie took a deep breath as he sat down on the bed, pulling his legs up and lying down. "C'mere," he said, patting the bed next to him.

Jimmy laid back next to the older fox and snuggled up close, wrapping his arms around the older fox's chest. "You're really warm," Jimmy whispered.

The two fox kits laid together for a moment, soaking up each other's warmth, before Jimmy's paw slowly wandered down to Robbie's crotch and grabbed the older boy's sheath.

Robbie gasped as he felt the younger kit's paw against his boyhood. He spread his legs a bit as Jimmy's paw explored his crotch, and Robbie brought one of his own paws to fondle the younger boy's sheath.

Robbie shut his eyes as he felt his member slipping from his sheath. His paw blindly explored the younger kit's bits as both kits murred softly in pleasure.

A gasp escaped Robbie's lips as he felt the younger cub's paw wrapping around his shaft and giving a gentle squeeze. He murred and shivered in pleasure as Jimmy slowly started to rub the older cub's shaft.

"Mmmm... that's good," Robbie whispered into the younger pup's ear as his own paw wrapped around Jimmy's smaller shaft.

Jimmy shivered a bit himself, and released the older cub's shaft. He wriggled a bit, and grabbed Robbie's paw, trying to guide it away from his boyhood.

"Didn't like it?" Robbie asked as he released Jimmy's cock.

The littler fox shook his head. "Sorry," he muttered.

"Don't be," Robbie whispered as he hugged Jimmy.

Jimmy nodded and rested his head against Robbie's chest. "Um... can we still cuddle?" he asked.

Robbie giggled softly and licked the younger cub's ear. "Sure," he whispered.

The two kits lay together on Robbie's bed. Jimmy flicked his ears a bit as he listened to the steady beating of Robbie's heart. Robbie gently stroked the younger cub's headfur as they lay together.

"Trying to steal my Jimmy?"

The two cubs jumped and looked towards the door. Ellie was leaning heavily against the doorframe, her face expressing a mixture of amusement and the lingering nausea from eating far too much in a single sitting.

Jimmy giggled a bit. "He's not gonna steal me," Jimmy said.

"Well, just to make sure," Ellie muttered, "I'll join you."

The two cubs watched as Ellie walked to the edge of the bed and started to undress.

"Ellie, what are you --" Robbie began.

"What? Scared of your sister?" Ellie asked as she slipped completely out of her clothes.

"Well... I..."

"Oh, relax," Ellie said as she slipped in to Robbie's bed and snuggled up against Jimmy.

Jimmy giggled softly and licked Robbie's nose. "It could be fun," he whispered as he rolled around to face Ellie and hug her.

Robbie sighed and shrugged, and wrapped his arms around his sister and her friend.

"Jimmy sandwich," Robbie whispered.

"Don't mention food," Ellie muttered with a groan.

Jimmy giggled and licked Ellie's nose. "You asked for it," he said.

"Never again," Ellie muttered.

"I've heard that before," Robbie replied.

The three cubs lapsed into silence, snuggled up together on Robbie's bed. A soft breeze snuck into the room through the open window, gently caressing the cuddling cubs. It was so calm and peaceful that the cubs didn't notice the sound of the front door opening.

"Well, now, isn't this a cute sight?" came a strained giggly voice from the door.

The cubs eyes widened, and all their faces shot to the door of Robbie's bedroom, where Terry stood watching them. Her cheeks seemed to have wet lines down them, as though she'd been crying.

"I hate to break this up," she said, looking at Jimmy. "But your dad's here, Jimmy, and he'd really like to see you."

"O-ok," Jimmy said, slowly crawling out from between the two fox siblings and hastily pulling his clothes on.

"He's downstairs in the living room," Terry said, stepping aside to let Jimmy out. She watched as the cub bounded out the door and down the stairs. "You two can come down, too, if you like," she said as she walked off, following the cub.

Robbie and Ellie exchanged glances.

"Robbie... did Mommy look like..." Ellie began.

"Like she'd been crying?" Robbie replied. Ellie nodded. "Yeah, I noticed that, too. Whaddaya think's up?"

Ellie shrugged as she slid out of bed and started sorting out her clothes. "I dunno, but I wanna find out."

Without another word, the two cubs dressed, and left Robbie's room, heading down to the living room.
