#1 of Necromancer

This is just a fantasy story that I did in order to get myself going. If a lot more people want me to continue then I'll pick up that project. But as that goes, I don't plan to upload any further story unless I feel the need to.

Jon rolled the small glass jar in his hands as he sighed deep in thought. The jar read "Ecto-Remover" and depicted a colorful cartoonish ghost floating hastily away from a cloud. The ingredients were household items, except for "Uranium Dust". He sighed as he read "Uranium Dust" in his head about five times debating on asking how much dust there was in the jar. Jon felt a tap on his shoulder causing him to jump up and look around quickly. He heard a cough and looked down to see a middle aged balding man with thick glasses staring at him.

"Excuse me," a whiny voiced man started, "But do you know..." The man paused as he noticed that Jon was wearing a cross around his neck with no name tag. "I'm sorry sir, I thought you worked here." The man bowed his head while saying "sorry" three times.

Jon held up his hand with a response, "It's okay. I might be able to help you out if you would like. I am a trained magic user."

The grim look on the middle aged man's face changed and lit up when he heard this. "Thank you very much sir. Would this jar get rid of my wife?" Jon's eyebrow raised while he plucked the jar from the guy's hand. The jar read "Ghost Be Gone" and underneath read "Ghosts will leave you alone and not even know what hit them."

"No," Jon answered along with a shaking head, "That would actually cause your wife to break out in hives if she's still alive."

The middle aged man groweled out, "If she was alive, I would have just divorced her by now." Jon looked him over a couple more times before he handed the jar back to him.

"Then the best thing to do is hire an ectomancer. They would be able to get rid of your wife without forcing her to stop existing. That way, there won't be any future problems in your home. Sending away a ghost or spirit in a forceful manner leaves holes which allow other things into your home." Jon pulled out his card and handed it to him. "My fees are usually handled by other sources, so there would be no need to charge you." Jon looked over the wall of jars before pulling one off the rack which read "Barrier" in Old English letters. "This should trap your wife if you make a complete circle with this and put something she treasured in the center. You'll know if you succeeded if the item starts to float. I would suggest not using living things, like a dog, because that traps them as well. That will keep your wife in the circle as long as you don't disturb it and it's a _complete_circle. Once the professional arrives, it'll allow them to easily put the ghost to rest and you can use the material to clean your floor." The middle aged man gently caught the jar from Jon's hand and tried to pull away before Jon grasped his hand.

Suddenly, an image of the wife's name along with her face flashed through Jon's eyes before the vision took him over completely. Jon watched through the eyes of the middle aged man as his wife berated, threatened, and even physically abuse him before she laughed leaving the room. The vision shifted as the man moved to follow her out but watched as the woman turned quickly to yell at him. Her footing slipped and her body flew down a flight of stairs with the sound of banging and bones breaking. He ran to the stairs and nearly followed her while he stared at the eyes that bore into his soul. Her head was facing one way while her body faced another direction. His feet almost slipped again as he looked around for a safe spot while he stepped away from the top of the stairs. He slumped down in shock and looked around when he heard a sudden gasp. The maid held a wet floor sign while placing her hand over her mouth with her free hand.

Jon let go of the man's hand as he arrived back into his own body. The middle age man had a puzzled look on his face as Jon pulled a glove on his hand. "Just make sure you don't let anyone clean the room you're doing it in. She will do everything she can to either kill you or make your life a living hell. Also, the best place is usually really close to where she died." The middle aged man continued to look at Jon with a puzzled expression before he nodded and walked towards the checkout counter. Jon turned his gaze towards the jar and saw his pale skin was even paler. Jon closed his eyes and breathed in deeply and practiced pulling magic in from around him. Jon opened his eyes and picked up the original jar he was holding and re-reading the label in case he missed anything.

"Scaring away customers is a bad thing y'know." The voice was sultry and seductive but held the tease that everyone included in their tone. Jon nodded as he read the last bit of ingredients on the jar.

"I would feel bad if I scared them away. As far as I know, he bought something from this place." Jon put the jar down and scratched his left ear to take a peek at the person next to him. The "person" was actually an anthro bat and unfortunately Jon couldn't tell if she was a "deadly sin" or not. Knowing this would help him from trying to hit on her. Luckily, he was surrounded by ingredients that would help him find out. Jon picked up a jar of "Ghost Paralyze" and opened it to take a sniff. He noticed a quick facial remark of disgust before she hid it away in a smile.

"Is it okay if you do that?"

"Of course," Jon smiled as he turned towards the female voice, "you need to check if the ingredients are fresh or not." The bat came into full view and Jon noticed that she was wearing a net shirt over a mid drift shirt with a pair of blue jean daisy dukes. Her feet were bare as all anthros seemed to dress lately. Her sunglasses were worn due to the intense light that was shown from the outside. Jon watched her smile falter as she looked around his chest area.

The bat asked while pointing at Jon's cross, "You're not one of those Christian nut jobs are you?" Jon thought for a minute before he chuckled lightly.

"No ma'am, I prefer to not force my religion on other people. I'll teach curious people but I will not force anything on them. That's not how God would want me to live my life and that's what Jesus taught us. Some of the bad Christians take what he taught literally or the wrong way. Were you curious?" The bat shook her head gently in a "no" response. 'Now to see what kind of deadly sin she is' thought Jon. Jon tightened the jar and lightly pricked his finger on the lid. The edge of his eyesight caught the bat lightly licking her lips when this happened. 'Great, a Glutton and possibly a Lust. Time to make a hasty retreat.' Jon thought while he instinctively put his finger into his mouth. He held it there until the bleeding stopped while he looked at the floor for any sight of blood. "Well, I've got a job to do and need to take time to prepare. Nice meeting you." Jon walked hastily around the bat while carrying the jar.

"What gave it away?" Jon stopped and turned around to look at her directly. Her clawed wings were on her hips and a quizzical lo9ok mixed with frustration was on her face.

"Gave what away?" Jon put his hands in his pockets to grab a small bag he carried around with him.

"The Glutton and possibly Lust. What gave it away?" Her voice started to sound more stern and carried a tone of "don't think I'm stupid". Jon took a step back into a stance of combat readiness as shock took over.

"My secrets are mine to keep Acedia." 'She's a damn sloth and my little "friend" didn't even notice. Get up here!', Jon demanded of the presence that was chained inside himself. He felt the presence come from the magical barriers inside himself to the surface of his mind as a chill went down his spine. The voice sounded deep, deathly, and everything screamed inside of him to run away when you heard it. "I was napping since you'll need my help. A Luxuria huh? Well, I can handle that one easily." Jon watched her face before he noticed it getting redder and redder with each passing moment. She gasped and smiled lightly as Jon's position relaxed.

"Well, I am game if you are." Her voice was spreading into the room with silky seduction and pure lust to entice Jon.

Jon smiled back with a response, "No thanks, I like my blood in my body. Have a nice day." Jon quickly turned around and walked towards the counter to check out. 'What did you tell her?' The voice sounded happier but still dark, deadly, and dangerous when it responded to him. "All the nasty thoughts you had about women." Jon sighed as he took out his wallet.

"Want me to ban her from here?" The owner asked. He was a bat that looked pretty much like all the other bats but was considered a fruit bat. He wore sunglasses like all the others. The bat paused long enough to take an alcohol wipe and clean the jar completely. He was a clean freak like that but also smart. Blood can be used for both good and bad means if put into the wrong hands.

"No thanks Omar", Jon lightly laughed through his nose, "She wasn't giving me trouble and was most likely trying to pick up a guy for a quickie." Omar nodded his head and a machine beeped as the card was accepted as payment.

"Want the receipt sent to your email address?" Omar asked with a smile.

"The royalty still accepts email receipts?" Omar nodded "Yes" in response and pressed a button on the machine. Jon's phone vibrated as an email alert confirmed his purchase. "Thanks Omar, I'll most likely be back here in a couple of days. Might have lined up my next gig." Jon waved to Omar as he put the jar into his jacket pocket. Jon walked outside as he noticed the clouds around the castle inside the mountain were getting darker and heavy with rain. 'Guess the royalty is having a bad day.' Jon pulled the hood from his jacket over head as he started to walk towards his next job. A few moments later, the rain began to pour down all over the city.
