Something More Comfortable

Tin walked along the path to his apartment with a heavy sigh, the long work day weighing heavily on his shoulders. He dug his keys out of his pocket, and for a moment they caught on something before finally come free, bring his wallet out with them.

Everything seemed to spill out as it tumbled from his pocket. He lunched for it but just missed it as it fell past his fingers. All he managed to do was drop his keys.

Muttering to himself he collected everything that had tried to escape, and tucked it back into his wallet. He looked around for a moment to make sure nothing had been missed before continuing onto his front door.

He was startled, and a bit pleased, to find a small white box leaning up against the door. Picking it up he discovered that it was incredibly light, and address to the right apartment with his name labeled across the front in neat hand written letters.

The only thing the box was missing was a return address. All he could see was a postmark, and that had smeared to the point of illegibility. Tin decided that it had to have been a gift from one of his friends, and smiled wide, something as nice as that would make his otherwise flat day stand out just a little bit more.

Opening his apartment door he stepped inside, sliding his coat off as the door swung closed behind him. He hung the coat over the door knob and turned his attention to the package.

He spun the small box in his hand, it was the right size to hold a videotape, if anyone had bothered with such a thing, but it felt no heavier then the cardboard it was made off. The edges had been glued in place, and the only sign of whom ever had packaged it was a small strand of blue hair caught under one edge.

A quick shake produced only silence.

Tin smiled a bit more, he had no idea what it was, but was excited to find out. Taking the pull tab firmly between his fingers he gave it a quick yank, pulling it across the box and unsealing it. Carefully he folded back the top of the box and looked inside, but he couldn't see anything.

He tilted the box, trying to shake out whatever was inside onto his palm, but all he got for his trouble was a smattering of dust. He shook the box again and again, but nothing came out. Finally he reached in and searched the box with his fingers, only to find a thin layer of dust clinging to the cardboard.

Looking down at the empty box he sighed and crumpled it up. "Just makes the day perfect," he muttered, throwing it across the room and into the half full trashcan. It missed.

With a sigh he started walking towards the kitchen, rubbing the back of his hands where the skin was starting to itch. On his third step he felt his shoe pull against his foot then drop free as he walked, landing with a thump on the floor.

He stopped and looked down at his shoe, expecting to find that the always uncooperative laces had come undone. Instead the shoe just sat there, still tied as tightly as it ever had been.

Tin looked down at the shoe, feeling a bit befuddled. He turned to bend down and pick up the shoe only to lose the other one, this time without it even falling off. He had simply stepped out of it.

A feeling of confusion started to build as he shook his head. Everything was starting to feel odd, a sensation of tingling was covering his hands and rising up his arms. It wasn't a bad feeling; it just felt odd to him. Looking down at his arms he was surprised to find small lines of fur had grown from his skin, and they were growing wider as he watched. Stranger still the fur was dark purple in color.

More fur was starting to form on his upper arms, lighter in color now, but still a shade of purple. It seemed to be appearing in more places around his body judging from the tingling of his skin. At the same time he started to feel a pleasant pressure growing across his body. It started at the base of his spin, ran up and across his back, then seemed to focus on his face and nose.

A moment later he felt the pressure at his spine grow stronger, then suddenly push out with a strange jolt. Twisting his head around, his pony tail bouncing over his shoulders, he watched what could only been a raccoon's tail pushing out from under his shirt and over the top of his pants. It was purple, just like his paws, and was thick enough that it pushed his pants down over his hips. They hung in place precariously against his new fur, the bottom of his shirt hanging low over the waistband.

Tin reached out and touched his new tail, a jolt of energy running through him from the contact. It crashed down over his body, breaking like water, washing over him and through him at the same time. He had no idea what was happen, but he knew, knew deep down, that it was right.

The power grew and swirled around him, pulling at his clothing and fur. It seemed to gather up around him, like a living wind, excited and eager to be with him.

Without a word he spread out his arms and power swept under them, pushing through his t-shirt and gathering under it. A new jolt of power ran through him and he felt his pants disengage from his hips to slide down to the floor around his feet. His shirt kept his modesty, hanging as it did half way to his knees, much lower than it had before.

Closing his eyes, he smiled, his face pushing out into a muzzle as his tail flicked out, the power growing more and more. He felt his feet lift from the ground, his socks falling off from his much smaller feet. His whole body was becoming smaller as the power grew.

He flexed his fingers, catching the power is it flowed around him, feeling his fingers tingling as strongly as his tail had. He clenched his hand into a fist, feeling the two smallest fingers becoming one, and when he opened them again there were only three thin fingers on each hand.

Still he grew smaller, the power arching around and under his t-shirt. It lifted the thin fabric, pulling at it, trying to break it free. Tin lifted his arms and the shirt flew over his head, sending his long hair flying before it settled back down, hanging down his back to the base of his tail.

Another rush of power ran through Tin's small body, now only a foot tall. This power dove into him, pressing deep inside his body, then started to dance around his crotch. It was different this time, everything growing tighter. He slipped his hand down between his legs and let out a gasp, under his touch he felt his penis shrinking and pulling back into his body. As the power danced over him he could feel as his male self vanished, a moment later his smooth crotch parted, forming into a vagina.

The then power started to swell outwards. With a gasp he felt himself change, the extra weight he carried shifting around his body, rounding out his hips and rump, tightening his belly and growing into breasts. He felt his features ease, growing slightly softer and clearly female.

The new raccoon gasped as her gender changed completely, followed by a feeling of warmth radiating from deep inside of her.

Finally the power seemed to pull around to her back, building and growing, forming into something new. Opening her eyes she watched as wings formed below her shoulders, large sweeping wings like a butterfly, but hardly there. They were a soft pink color, and left small flashes of light as they flicked through the air.

Soon the beating of her wings was the only things holding her in the air. It didn't take much effort, the small raccoon fairy was only three inches tall and seemed even lighter then she looked.

As the power faded Tin... "Tina," she said, picking a new name for herself, start to zip around her apartment. She flew in to the bathroom and zipped up close to the mirror. She felt wonderful, her new power filling her small body. She could feel it now, and knew how to control it. She just had to will it and it would be done.

She could even turn back to a male human again, but it was the start of the weekend, and she was going to enjoy her new self. Tina had no idea who had sent her the gift, but she was happy that they had. She was going to use it make others happy as well.

A smile crossed her muzzle as she zipped across the mirror, a trail of light in her wake. The first thing she had to do was make some clothing; she had no plans to be going to visit her friends nude!
