The Volcano

Story by OmegaEpsilonGamma on SoFurry

,

Another poem I wrote, I am considering making this account just for poetry. Not certain. This specific poem is about a volcano, they never talk, nor do they breath, but they are deafeningly loud and forever seethe. Now I know that some of this is controversial, but most of my poems are meant as art, rather than scientific descriptions. Like, I don't know how bright a lumen is, therefore I couldn't ACTUALLY tell you how bright a volcano's eruption is. In any case, please leave your thoughts on my work. I put a lot of time and effort into most of it, and I appreciate honest opinions.

Standing tall you wait, Marvel, granite, slate,

Not living, yet ever proud,

Ever silent, yet deafeningly loud,

You never move nor do you breathe, But you're unstoppable, and forever seethe, Dark is your shadow, yet blindingly bright is your wake, You rumble deeply, slumbering for eons, but not for our sake, Existing carefree, demolishing everything without strife, Yet, always bringing life,

Evil, and good,

Dark and light,

You are none,

Yet all and one,

Standing tall you wait,

Marvel, granite, slate,

Not living, yet ever proud, You are death, a massive shroud,

You are life, a beginning foundation, You killed the dinosaurs, and helped in our creation, You brought forth humans, At ten thousand lumens
