Hi, furballs! First story of the new year, and while I'm not entirely sure it's the best I could do, it was fun to write. Written in the middle of a larger project that's been driving me up the wall (or the Vorium-plated bulkhead, as the case may be), it's been good to relieve a little of the stress in my mind. Now, if only I could get this kinda treatment for myself, heh heh! Hope you all enjoy!

To Please The Muse

Gillian's brow furrowed as she stared down the barrel of the rat's revolver. "You can't possibly expect to get away with this, you know," she growled. Her vulpine ears flattened against the top of her head as she drew herself up tall and straight. "Do you really think the cops'll believe I killed myself?"

It was with a quiet, cold laugh that the assassin thumbed back the gun's hammer. "I know they will," he retorted, as his icy eyes fixed on Gillian's warm, brown orbs. "You would be surprised how many 'suicides' in this city are really my work. So, the question now is a simple one. What's your life worth to you? Is it worth more than the bounty on your head? Convince me, please. I need not splatter the walls with your brains if you make a counter-offer that's worth my time. James Wintersfield is a businessman, not a monster. I am his killer-for-hire... but maybe I could be yours."

Paws froze. Fingers stopped. The room fell silent for a moment, before the quiet was broken by a single snarl of annoyance. Paws flew into the air as their lupine owner leaned back heavily in the computer chair. "And then she... what? Ugh!"

It was the problem he'd faced again and again in the last week. He'd type a paragraph or two of new work, and then he'd stall out completely. His muse had failed him. He had deadlines to meet! The publisher wanted to see the next chapter done in under a week's time, and he wasn't going to deliver at the rate he was going! The wolf rubbed over his face as he sighed. "Shane Taylor. Published author. National hit. Pfft. I must have gotten fucking lucky's what it is."

He stared up the screen again as he folded his arms firmly across his chest. "Alright, Shane. Think. Visualize. You've done this before. She's on the run, framed for her husband's murder. The bounty on her head, set by the Mafia, has gone up. She's met the number one killer in the city, and..." He sighed anew as he tossed his head back against his chair. "And she... dances the fucking Macarena to confuse him before she bolts for the door and cops a JHP in the back of her face. I got nothing. Fucking writer's block."

"I understand that the Macarena is a very highly respected ritual dance in some lesser evolved parts of the world," came another male voice from out of the small office Shane did his writing in. "They use it to express joy in their underdeveloped towns, and as a primitive means of communication for those who have lost all hope of life. You know, in places like Detroit."

That drew a quiet chuckle from the wolf as he rolled his chair back and rotated it towards the door. His bright yellow eyes followed, just in time to catch a sleek, male otter slip into the room with a plate in one lifted paw and a glass in the other. The otter's blue shirt was probably the brightest thing in the room, with his smile coming a close second. The tight, black jeans he wore showed off his legs, and Shane had to focus on stuff the otter was carrying to keep his mind from wandering. "I thought people in Detroit just grunted incoherently and beat at each other with heavy sticks," he replied, as he sniffed at the air. "What'd you bring me, Jason?"

The otter smiled as he lowered the plate just enough for Shane to catch a glimpse of the grilled cheese sandwich that rested atop it. "Lunch, you dolt," he replied, as he set the glass down on the edge of the wolf's desk. "You know, the meal you were meant to eat about two hours ago but never did? The meal you skipped to add a whole..." He peered intently at the screen for a moment. "...three hundred words to your manuscript. Oh dear."

"Oh dear's right," Shane replied with a sigh as he gently took the sandwich from Jason's offered plate. He nodded over at the monitor as he took a bite and vigorously chewed it, reminded by the smell that he'd barely eaten anything all day. "Blocked again. Can't get further. I'm a hair away from wiping the page and starting again, I tell you. Or wiping the page and then spending a couple hours taking chainsaw and AK to a horde of zombies. I'm not sure which, yet."

As he rolled his eyes, Jason knelt down on the carpet in front of Shane. "Honey, c'mon. You're trying too hard's what it is. You're focusing so hard on your work that you're not actually able to work. You gotta relax, let the words come. Can't force it like you're trying, right? Isn't that what you always say?" As he spoke, the otter reached out to gently stroke and rub over the wolf's legs.

Shane nodded as he closed his eyes. He took a moment to luxuriate in the soft strokes of the otter's paws before he replied. "Yeah, but this is just... it's driving me absolutely nuts, you know? Deadline's coming, and I've gotta get this chapter done. I had a plan for it, but..." He waved a helpless paw at the monitor. "But the plan was stupid. I need something new, something that lets her get away without her face winding up ventilated." He sighed as he turned back to the screen.

Jason offered no response, and so Shane dropped his chin into the palm of one paw. He stared up over the page, over the words that he had, and tried to visualize the words he wanted to come already on the page. He lifted his free paw and let it stroke slowly over the keyboard as he tried to feel the words come.

What came to him first was enough of a surprise to make him almost jump right out of his chair. The sudden touch of Jason's paws again as they ran up the underside of his legs shocked Shane right back, and he spread his legs wide as he peered under the desk. Jason's face grinned back at him, the perfect display of innocence. "You need to relax, sweety," he said, and there was no mistaking the sultry tone in the otter's voice. "Just... keep working, if you have to. But let me see what I can do about helping you along, hmm?" Even as he spoke, his webbed paws began to slip higher and higher along Shane's legs.

The wolf opened his muzzle to respond, but Jason instead just leaned up and pressed his muzzle right in against the crotch of Shane's sweatpants. The otter's nose rubbed right up against his concealed sheath, and the lupine moaned softly despite himself at the firm but gentle touch. "Jase, not now," he said, as he tried to keep his focus on the keyboard and monitor. "Really, hon... I appreciate it, but... mrrrf..."

His words trailed off as the otter reached up slowly to grasp the waistband of the wolf's pants. "Sweety? I'm going to shut up now... mostly cause I'm gonna have a very busy mouth. You're not getting me out of here until you're a little more relaxed, and I've got a sticky muzzle." Those delicate but insistent paws began to tug at Shane's pants, and the wolf just lifted himself slightly out of the chair to help, rather than hinder Jason's efforts.

As Jason's nose began to press down against the base of his sheath, Shane shivered and quickly tried to refocus himself on his work. The gentle nuzzling of the otter into his crotch kept trying to drag the wolf's attention down, but he stiffened himself and forced his eyes to remain forward. He had work to do, after all. The warm, wet tongue that ever-so-slowly curled around his sheath and coaxed the tip of his shaft up into the open air didn't change that. Nor did the hot puffs of Jason's breaths against his sensitive tip, as the otter reveled in the scents before him.

"Well then, what am I worth?" Gillian asked, as a shiver of fear worked its way up her spine. Those eyes - cold and lifeless - shined with intent as they remained fixed on her. "What does Lombari want to pay you for bringing my head back?"

The hit-man almost seemed amused by the question. "Only a hundred and twenty," he replied, his voice still as flat and emotionless as ever. "Usually I'd expect a little more, but it's a slow month and I'm bored. Can you top his otter?"

Shane hissed as he opened his eyes, unaware that he'd even closed them. The feel of Jason's lips as they slid down over his tip and teased each inch of his growing malehood was just too distracting. "Honey, I'm making typos up here," he pleaded, even as the otter gave the tip of his shaft the barest little nip. A shudder worked its way through Shane's body as he moaned anew. The message was clear; the otter was intent on his work. He wasn't about to move, not until he'd gotten what he wanted.

Even as that thought flitted through Shane's mind, the full length of his shaft emerged from his sheath. Jason wasted no time with it. He dove down, and his lips dragged over every last inch as he enveloped that sensitive flesh in the warmth of his muzzle. Of their own volition, Shane's hips jerked upwards to help sheath himself in that heat just that much quicker. His jaw went slack for a moment as he murred to himself, and he shivered as he looked briefly down at the keyboard. New thoughts filled his mind, fuelled by the eager male beneath his desk, and Shane's fingers began to tap away at the keys before he'd even started to consider them.

Can you top his offer?"

With a heavy sigh, Gillian bowed her head. All the money she had in the world was in the bank, and it would barely match that. The vixen felt her mortality creep up on her, and her thoughts were jerked violently back to the sight of her husband. The way he'd been laid down in their living room, nailed to the floor for her to find... Instead of a sickening lurch of her stomach though, an idea slipped into Gillian's mind. "I... don't know," she said, as her brain began to run in overdrive. "Maybe... but not with me, not here. If we could go to the bank-"

"We're not going anywhere, missy," James interrupted, his tone suddenly sharp as a knife. "You want to lose me in the crowd, or maybe have the bank security forces come and discover me. Either way, we're not leaving this apartment. Turn around."

Gillian didn't move. The hit man had behaved just as she'd expected. "What if I can give you something here, now?" she asked. The vixen dared not lift her eyes to meet those cold orbs. "Something as... insurance, of sorts. An act of faith."

The words piqued James' curiosity. Instantly, Gillian could see that his stance had relaxed a little. His revolved, while still pointed at her chest, had at least dipped from her face. "And what would you have to offer me here, as insurance?" he asked. When she didn't respond, he cocked his head and looked at her a little harder. "Did you hear me? I asked..."

His voice trailed off slowly, quietly, as he followed her gaze. The vixen's eyes had fixed themselves not on the ground, not on his booted footpaws, not on his weapon, but on his jeans. Specifically, on the plump, full crotch of his jeans. "I see. An... interesting offer."

A quick little nip at the base of his sheath brought Shane's attention back from the screen again. One of the otter's webbed paws had wrapped tightly around his malehood, and it pumped slowly back and forth as he nibbled down along the rim of the wolf's sheath. It brought a quick surge of pre up and through Shane's length, and he shuddered as he watched that pre race up and out and across Jason's forehead. He opened his muzzle to warn the otter to be careful, or else he was going to get some of the wolf's spunk in his hair. The words never came, replaced by a moan that betrayed a need that Shane had carefully kept to himself for a while.

He knew Jason had been right, as the otter's tongue curled slowly around the knot that began to grow just barely within his sheath. That warm, wriggling muscle caught and held Shane's attention as he relaxed back into his chair, and his legs spread wider as he gave himself over almost completely to Jason's whims. The otter had been completely right; all his focus had been on the difficulty of his work. He just needed to relax a bit, and let his boyfriend help him out.

He sat there for a few more moments, panting steadily and blissfully ignorant of the words on the page before him. Those warm, gentle fingers played along his shaft, their touch soft as they worked back and forth. Again and again Jason's lips pressed in to kiss slowly up and around the base of that lupine malehood, as his tongue coaxed that knot to greater size. Shane's own tongue lolled out of his muzzle for a moment, before he shuddered softly at the feel of his sheath giving way to allow that girthy knot access to the air. A shiver of relief washed through him, a premonition of pleasures to come as the otter slipped up to dip his mouth ever so gently back down over his tip once again. Despite himself, Shane reached his paws back out to the keyboard, and began to tap away once more.

James' eyes flicked back up to Gillian's face once again. Never once had she shifted in her gaze, and he chewed lightly on his lower lip as he considered the option before him. "I cannot say that it's not tempting," he replied, his voice thoughtful. "What of your husband, mmm? Would he approve of your body used to buy off the person sent to kill you?"

"My husband would approve of me trying to stay alive, whatever it takes," Gillian replied. There was a bit of snap to her voice as she reached out tentatively towards the wolf's hips. Her motions were slow, calculated, designed to draw no wrath from the assassin pointing his gun at her. "I don't approve of doing this... but I need that money to get your gun pointed elsewhere, and you need... something." Briefly she lifted her gaze; James' eyes met hers instantly, as he regarded her closely.

He didn't fight, didn't resist as the vixen's paws found their way to his belt. Deftly she unbuckled it as she slipped gracefully down to her knees before him. His eyes never left hers, and she held that gaze as evenly as she could as she began to draw the zipper of his jeans down. "Will this convince you?" she asked, as her fingers continued their slow, dainty work. Already she could detect the first tingles of the wolf's arousal before her canine nose, a warm musk that she freed with fearful care.

It was with a single nod from James that brought the vixen's fingers down into his opened pants. The silken black boxers he wore under them were quickly bypassed by dexterous fingers, and she drew a gasp from the wolf as shewtgyhikojiulj

Shane's body jerked, his paw dragged across the keyboard violently as a pulse of pleasure raced up his spine. Jason swallowed down hard around the lupine shaft buried in his muzzle, tip brought right down his throat as his lips pressed firmly against the top of Shane's knot. The wolf let out a heated moan as he twitched in his seat, and a short shot of his pre splattered against the back of Jason's throat as his heart skipped a beat. All but his knot was encased, completely surrounded by the damp heat of his lover's muzzle, and it took a few moments for Shane to keep his body from shuddering and melting down out of his chair.

His hips moved of their own accord as Jason began to draw back again for breath. He pulled himself away just a little quicker from the otter before he humped forward again, and the delicious grind of Jason's lips along his sensitive shaft drove another shiver right through Shane's body. He kept the motions slow despite the instinct that rocketed up through him, intent on giving his otter plenty of time to breathe before that tapered canine tip slid down into his throat again. The practiced otter took it all with practiced ease, and his soft little moans and murrs of pleasure were muffled by a very full muzzle as he pushed himself down over and over again.

Something in the air changed, as Shane looked down under the desk for a quick peek. There was Jason, head running up and down along that thick length of lupine flesh. The otter rested on his knees, his eyes closed as he focused himself entirely on the tastes and feelings he was presented with. One of his webbed paws rubbed up and down the inside of one of Shane's thighs, but the source of the new scent in the air came from the other. It had unbuttoned, unzipped and dipped into the otter's jeans, and Shane could just barely see Jason's fingers as they pumped vigorously up and down his pre-slicked malehood. The scents of two eager, needy males mingled in the air, and Shane breathed them in deeply.

He exhaled with a soft moan as he struggled to hit the backspace key enough times to correct his twitch-induced mistake, but a firm, lewdly loud slurp from Jason sapped just too much of Shane's attention. With a shaky paw he reached up with two fingers to hit Ctrl and S, before he slumped back into the chair with a much deeper groan of pleasure. Both his paws slipped down beneath the desk to grasp at the otter's little ears, and Shane humped up firmly into Jason's muzzle.

Jason had no desire to fight; that much was obvious. He pushed down hungrily, moaning around the wolf's length as Shane pumped up over and over into him. His tongue rubbed up and down Shane's underside as he pawed at his own length, slowing himself down again and again as he felt himself rush towards the edge of his control. He forced himself back from that edge each time, and he shuddered as he simply worked himself along Shane's malehood just that much harder.

Each drag of the otter's lips and tongue along his flesh drew a thrust from Shane's hips. Each thrust just made Jason push down that much tighter, or slurp harder. The cycle repeated over and over again, with the wolf drawn steadily to greater and greater pleasure. He couldn't stop himself even if he wanted to, as he humped up faster and faster into the otter's mouth. Every lick, slurp and suck coaxed him to higher speed and greater need, and within moments Shane felt himself tingle and tense. From toes to ears he stiffened, and his breath switched to short, barely audible pants as he stumbled right on the edge.

Then, as Jason pushed down and swallowed his tip again, his teeth just barely grazed the top of his knot. That was it; Shane howled in pleasure as he squeezed the otter's ears tightly, and he held him still as he could as his malehood began to twitch and jerk within his hungry prison. The otter's tongue would not be stilled, even as the first spurt of the wolf's thick seed painted his throat. It lashed back and forth, curled up and around that throbbing, spurting shaft for every moment. It teased up and down along it, encouraging every last drop of the wolf's seed out and into him. He gulped down everything; the lupine tip squeezed by his throat prevented anything else. It was all Jason could do to direct his own shaft up, as his vigorous pawing became too much for him to stop.

The mouth wrapped around Shane's shaft shook and trembled as his mostly-spent malehood slipped back to give Jason room to breathe. Almost immediately the mouse joined in his panting, nostrils flaring as his lips remained closed tightly around Shane's drooling length. Spurts of the otter's fluids shot up from his tip and splattered across his shirt, as he continued to murr and moan around his still-stuffed muzzle. Shane leaned back in his chair as he watched the display beneath him, his drained body offering up one last shot of his seed to Jason as he enjoyed the wanton display of lust beneath his desk. Still he panted, unable to tear his eyes from the sight of his boyfriend's lips still wrapped like a seal around his length.

It wasn't until a minute or so later that Jason's breathing started to slow, and the otter opened his eyes. He blushed brightly as he caught Shane's stare, the expression a little less than serious with his muzzle wrapped tightly around the wolf's still-firm shaft. He shrugged slightly, as if to apologize for the mess made of the area under the desk.

All Shane could do was shake his head and smile, as his own panting began to slow down. He stroked gently over those ears he'd gripped so very tightly, as he rolled his hips slowly. "Oh, I'm sure you'll find a way to make up for it, honey," he replied. His fingers tightened on those little ears as he felt the otter try to draw himself back up and off his length.

Confused, Jason looked up and murred a wordless query. Shane just smiled wider as he sat back up in his chair and lifted one paw to stroke over the top of his keyboard. "Oh no, Jase. You stay right there for now. Give it ten minutes, and I'll be ready to go again." He glanced back down with a coy wink. "I've got a new little muse now... and I plan on milking everything out of him I can."

The otter just smiled around his lover's shaft as he squirmed. Jason's lips slid slowly down, and they wrapped around half that lupine malehood again as he stroked his tongue ever so gently along it. He closed his eyes as he heard the keyboard above him tapped rapidly. The remnants of the wolf's seed lingered on his tastebuds, and Jason rocked his lips gently back and forth as he settled himself in a little more comfortably. After all, who was he to argue with a spurt of creativity?

Hope you guys liked! Funnily enough, in writing this I completely crafted a mental storyline of what Shane was working on. It's kinda weird when an author's characters have characters!

You'll probably not see anything new from me until like March, due to the frustrations of my current project. I'm going to be working hard on it, but I promise that there'll be more to come from me yet. I've got a lot in the works; I just need to delegate my writing time better! So leave some encouragement, in the form of comments, scores, cums and favs, and I'll be all thankful and appreciative and enticed to write more. And stuff. Take care furballs, until next time!
