The Fate of 'Welcome to Kalos'
Just an update....
So, I am only doing this to bring it to people's attention. Obviously it has been quite some time since I added anything to 'Welcome to Kalos', and I imagine most of you were assuming I weren't going to be doing any more of it. Well, you are right. This is is me officially ending my work on this series.
As I am sure everyone understands, life can throw you some curve balls. Well I was hit with a hard one and I had to make a choice. I was engaged at the time of writing this story, and my fiance was not only helping me edit and proofread, but he was also the basis of both the character Nikolai and Velvet the Ninetales. Honestly, our relationship wasn't doing too well, at least to me, before the engagement. I was stupid and thought saying yes would magically fix everything. It didn't, in fact things only got worse. I left him back in June 2016 and have not looked back. I have tried to work on Chapter 2 since leaving, but it isn't the same. I was never the one writing for Nikolai, I would ask the fiance what Nikolai would do, and use that. If I were to try and write him now without that, there would be a very obvious difference in the writing that I would have a hard time dealing with. Not to mention the general memories associated with the character. And if you are thinking "Can't you still talk to the ex and keep that going just for the story?" the answer is no. A big, resounding no.
He wanted to be civil after I left, so I gave him space, and did my best to be friendly but not flirt or anything with him anymore. Then we started avoiding each other. He decided that he no longer wanted contact with me, so he removed or blocked me from everything. We were both in the same gaming group on Discord, we both had friends there. Well he went to the guy who started the server and acting as admin and from I was told he brought up how seeing me around hurt too much, and he wanted me removed from the group. Which they did. It took me awhile to find this out though, and after several months I talked to the guy to see if I could be added back. Turns out the ex may still use discord, but he is never really on the server anymore to chat. If he kept that up for awhile longer I would be invited back. So I'm back on the server now, I know he follows me on here still, for some unknown reason, but I don't care if he knows now. I changed my name, and I'm starting fresh with most things.
Well, I would like to start fresh on this story, so I plan on rewriting everything I've done so far. There will be several character changes, I'm pretty sure you can guess who, and there might be some plot differences. I have not decided fully yet, but if you are reading this and are still possibly interested in the story then please keep an ear out. I'm going to have the Prologue and Chapter 1 finished before I post anything else, but I'll keep you informed if you are interested.
