So this is my first real story, and I want to go ahead and apologize ahead of time for any grammatical errors, or weak plots. I hope though that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

It was 7 o'clock on a Friday morning when Geoff's alarm went off. He rolled over sleepily in bed and reached out to the alarm clock on his nightstand to turn it off. Geoff slowly sat up in bed and started to rub his face to wake himself up. He got up out of bed and put on blue and white plaid pajama shorts and a white t-shirt. He ran his hands through his hair and noticed that he had terrible bed head. " Well I am not sure how much I like that." He yawned. Geoff grabbed a beanie from his nightstand and quickly put it on to cover up his hair. "Well I have a lot to do today and...and" Geoff caught a whiff of pancakes being made, and he assumed that his roommate and best friend, Devin, was making breakfast. "And I smell pancakes, excellent." Geoff walked out of his room and towards the kitchen. "Hey Dev, are you making pancakes?" As he rounded the corner Devin gave a sly smile. "Naw dude, I just lit an incense stick that smelled like pancakes so you would wake up with a sense of false hope, enjoy." Geoff slugged him lightly in the shoulder. "Thanks smartass, I will have one please." Devin pointed to the table. "I made you two, go ahead and sit down." Geoff quickly got a glass of water before sitting at the table. About a minute later Devin came to the table with three plates, two for them, and one with a stack of pancakes on it. Geoff eagerly grabbed two pancakes and winked at Devin. "Thanks for the pancakes babe." Geoff and Devin have been friends for the better part of 10 years, and though Geoff knew that Devin was not gay, he couldn't help but have some fun. Devin laughed "Geoff, I love you like a brother, and that is as far as it goes." Geoff smiled slyly "Aww don't be that way, you know I am going to get some action tonight one way or another." He playfully hit Devin, and Devin smiled "Yeah, and I am sure your hand will thank you for it." Geoff chuckled "Kudos to you for such a clever comment." "Why thank you my good sir." Devin said as he finished up with his breakfast and went to go put his dishes in the sink. Geoff finished not long after and did the same with his plate. "Hey Dev, I am going to go for a run on that dirt trail, I guess we will meet up at the coffee shop later?" Devin looked up from washing the dishes "Sure dude, are you going to come back and take a shower, or what?" Geoff was in his room and was packing his duffel. "Umm no, I am just going to go for a light run, I do not think that I will need a shower." Geoff packed an extra set of clothes in his duffel as well as his laptop, so he could use it when they were at the coffee shop. He quickly got his running clothes on, and grabbed his Zune and started to play I Will Be Here by Tiesto, as he walked out the door.

Fifteen minutes later Geoff was driving down the dirt road off Highway 16. He had the windows rolled down in his car so he could feel the cool breeze on his face. Geoff became entranced by the beauty of the forest and was not paying attention to where he was driving. His car started to drift to the edge of the road and towards the trees. Geoff looked back to the road and noticed he was heading for a tree. "SHIT!" He screamed. He tried to steer out of the way but it was to late, he hit the tree and the force of the impact made his head whiplash, and it knocked him out. A half hour later Geoff came to and he rubbed his head. " Dammit, what hit me?" He looked up to his cracked windshield and noticed the tree in front of him. "A tree hit me? How the hell did that happen." He paused for a moment and remembered him swerving off of the road into the trees. "Oh wait, I am an idiot, I hit the tree not the other way around..." Geoff reached for the door handle and was thankful that he was still able to open the door. He got out and started to survey the damage he had done to his car. "Well this has not been a very pleasant experience..." He sighed and got his duffel out of the back seat of the car. "Well I guess I need to walk back now, seeing as how I am now lacking a working car..." Geoff reached for his phone and tried to call Devin, after a few seconds of not haring the dial tone Geoff checked to see if he had a signal, but he did not have one. "In the middle of a forest without a signal, brilliant." He started to walk down the road when a strange trail caught his eye. "Odd I do not remember seeing that trail on this road before..." He walked hesitantly wondering if maybe he should forget about it and continue the walk back home. "The hell with it, it is not like I am in a rush or anything." Geoff walked down the strange trail to see where it lead to.

After a short walk through the tangled shrubbery and trees, Geoff came to a small clearing with a small statue in the middle of it. "Whoa this is batshit crazy, hmm I wonder if I have discovered some ruins to a lost civilization..." After laughing at his stupidity he walked up to examine the statue. He could only make out a few details of the statue, but what he could see amazed him. "Oh man, a statue of a dog...but with the body features of a human, weird but cool at the same time." Geoff ran his left hand over the statue to feel the remaining details on it. Not long after he felt the statue move slightly under his fingers. Geoff jumped back slightly in shock. "Did that statue just move?!" He looked back at it and noticed that the head of the statue was now staring at him. " Statue, you were not doing that before, what the hell is going on?" Geoff started to feel light headed and his vision became blurred. " Dammit that car wreck must be getting to me now" Geoff fell and before he and his stuff hit the ground, he vanished.

John was hiking through the Epsilon mountains trying to find a place to camp for the night. The big German Shepherd walked casually through the wilderness when he heard a strange moaning sound, almost like someone was in pain. He hurried to the source of the sound to find a species that he has never seen before. He walked up closer and knelt down by the creature eying every feature of its body. The creature appeared to be slim and muscular but John could only make a guess since he could not see through the shorts and shirt that the creature was wearing, he also noted that the new creature was very cute, John smiled at this. John noticed a bag laying next to the creature and reached over to examine it. As soon as his paw touched the bag, the creature began to stir and slowly sit up holding its head with one hand and groaning slightly. " Son of a bitch, my head feels like someone took a hammer to it." John cocked his head head slightly admiring the face of this new creature. "Hey are you okay?" Geoff, not noticing that a anthro dog was still next to him. "Yeah sure I am fine, everything is just peaches and flowers right now even though that car wreck left me with a severe headache." John had a confused look. "A car wreck? But there isn't a road around for miles, you are on a mountain right now." Geoff, still not looking up, shook his head. "What are you talking about? There is a dirt road not to far from here." John frowned, he was sure that this creature was not from around here. "Hey, do you know where you are?" "Of course I know where I am" Geoff looked up " I am in...." His eyes widened in fear at the German Shepherd that towered over him. "Oh shit...."
