Forgotten Ch.4

Wrapping the towel around my hair I sat on the couch in his living room and waited as he had told me to. Sniffing the air I smelt a delicious aroma waft through the house. I knew he could cook but I had never smelt anything that made my mouth water like this aroma did.
Tempted to see what he was making I got up from the chair and silently made my way around to the archway that designated the entrance to the kitchen. "Love you had better still be sitting on that couch." I heard the amusement in his voice. He knew I wanted to see and that I was trying to get a peek. Laughing quietly to myself I went and sat back down savoring the delectable aroma.
Delighting in the smell I never heard him enter the living room. Jolting at the touch of his hand on my shoulder I looked into his golden brown eyes. "You hungry now?" he asked with laughter coating his voice. "starving" I said standing and wrapping my arms around his waist.
Walking into the kitchen I noticed what had so captivated my train of thought. He had made hot roast beef sandwiches from a left over pot roast. Getting slightly delusional from the smell we sat across from each other and ate our midday lunch. By the time I left it was already 6:49 pm.
