Throughout her life, Faye has been many places and experienced many things she still wishes not to share with many people. . . Looking far enough back it is easy to see why.

From a young age up until her late teens, Faye lived in the thick forested hills near a few small villages living out a quiet and simple life together off the land. There had been many rumors of the troubles of the world always around them from town, but wasn't there always? Foolish rumors of legions over the boarder taking over and pillaging surrounding areas. This didn't bother them with their peaceful life. It was that fate-less day that they arrived.

A light breeze brushed past, the sun peaking through the treetops as they birds sang happily from their perches amongst the treetops. The young vixen strolled quietly along a deer path through the forest humming a quiet tune to herself, her head tilted back to stare up to the clouds above in thought. 'What a perfect day..' She smiled to herself as she came into a small clearing, sitting herself briefly upon the cool morning grass for a rest. "Just a short break, then I'll head back." She murmured with a yawn and lay back, dozing off...

She had woken early that morning, just as the rays of sunlight barely peaked through the window of her room. Slowly she would stir from bed with a slow stretch and yawn. Wiping the sleep from her eyes she would slip on her robe and cloak and slip into the kitchen. Smiling she would creep up behind the older vixen standing in the kitchen already busy at work. "Good morning mother!" She exclaimed, the older vixen jumping with a yelp of surprise and wiping around with spoon in hand. "Faye! My goodness I have told you time and time again do not do that.. What are you doing up so early? I usually have to drag you out of bed by at least half day." She would tease lightly to the young vixen. Faye would smile innocently and grin as she went about taking up some bread and cheese for the day. "Father comes back today right? I wanted to go find a present for him to welcome him back." She would answer as she checked to make sure she had everything. "Don't worry yourself mom, ill be back before he gets here!" She yelled out as she raced out the door before her mother could protest. She would head out from the small cottage, taking a quick gaze around the small farm before heading out towards the tree line to the small pathway. She was ecstatic, her father had been out for some time now doing work and trading in various surrounding villages and had not returned in quiet a while, but had sent word he would be back soon. He had been home for his birthday, so she thought it only right to make his return special as she walked along, gazing about now and then in thought of what to get. By the time she had gotten to the clearing she had been to so many times, her own little spot no one ever bothered her at or knew about, he was nearly midday, but she knew she had time to spare.

Faye bolted upright, her head looking about her quickly with some surprise. "Oh jeez.. I feel asleep!" She exclaimed to herself, slapping her paw to her forehead she jumped to her feet, munching a quick bite of bread. Her gaze quickly scanned over the clearing, stopping on a large oak, she walked over quickly, peaking into a small hollow she had made to store various things she found. She picked out a few rocks she had found recently of various shapes and colors, and grabbing a few flowers for her mother before bolting off down the pathway toward home. "Jeez.. Shes going to kill me for being late." She growled to herself and laughed a bit. She was almost to the edge of the tree line when she stopped dead in her tracks, her ears pivoting about some as she listened... There was nothing. Quite literally. Everything had gone quiet. 'Danger' She thought to herself as she quickened her pace, bursting out of the trees she would freeze.

Standing not far from the house on the small road was a band of armored furs. She wracked her mind thinking as to why they were here until she heard a scream, quickly cut off she looked to see a large wolf standing over the body of her mother, sword unsheathed and covered in her blood. She watched as her father dove at the wolf, only to be slain as well right before her eyes. She stood frozen for a long moment in shock before something deep within her snapped. Filling the area a high pitched scream of anger, her paw moving with lightning speed to pull forth one of the rocks from her pocket, flinging it with great speed to the nearest soldier. The ferret fell to the ground following the loud * crack * that echoed out as it hit his skull. The soldiers would whip around, weapons drawn with some surprise to see the young vixen standing there enraged and glaring with a look that could kill in itself. "Oh ho, what do we have here boys? The little vixen wants to play?" Barked the wold with some laughter. One of the soldiers kicked the ferret laying on the ground, "Boss, hes dead.", "That's alright, I think we found something far more worth it than some recruit." He murmured as he eyed the vixen standing there, some of the soldiers moving closer to her. Faye had gone into a berserker state, thinking not what she was doing as she lunged at the nearest soldier who fell back with surprise. She quickly disarmed him of his sword, whipping around with it she began going at the rest of them. At least three had been taken out before the wolf grew bored of watching and calmly walked over, the vixen standing there, bloodied sword in hand as she panted and growled. "You'll pay for this." "No my dear, it is much the other way. I think your services will suffice plenty, I hear foxes are pretty good on the market." He teased before reaching out snatching the weapon from her paws, the next thing she knew as her head stopped spinning she lay bond on the ground as they left her to pillage the house of what they could, loading up the cart they brought along. Once they had finished the wolf returned, walking over without acknowledging her growls and glares as she struggled to get free. He easily slung her over his shoulder, placing her in the cart as well with a grin. "I'll kill you all!" She screamed at him. The other soldiers laughed some, one yelling over to the wolf. "She has spirit boss, I think she would be worth more in the arena!" He exclaimed, followed by their laughter as they began to head out. She would watch some as her home shrank slowly, the feelings beginning to return to her body she noticed how tire and worn she had become, passing out shortly afterword.

It was a cruel and dark beginning, she did not willfully accept her place she had been forced into amongst the band of soldiers that continued raiding the various homes and villages. But soon, she grew used to it, and even began to learn from them. She waited for her chance, gaining their trust until one night they all lay scattered about the camp drunken and passed out after the newest pillaging. All around the camp there was quiet, only the sound of the crackling fires and snoring of the soldiers scattered all about to fill the vixens ears. She strained hard to listen for any still conscious. This was not the first time they had nearly partied themselves to death she thought to herself shaking her head some. A light breeze blew through rustling the branches of the trees, the faces of the many sleeping furs lumines briefly as the coals were stirred and glowed. She held her breath until the shadows again began to creep back over everything. She sat up from where she lay on the ground, her ears flicking and pivoting about taking in everything once more as her eyes adjusted finally to the dark. She moved graceful and quick into a crouching position, with ease only learned after much experience around such brutes, dodging blows and weapons to stay alive, with prowess used to avoid waking or disturbing her captors in her service to them. She moved to the nearest tent, slowly creeping inside of it she spotted her target. The wolf lay out cold, the heavy smell of alcohol in the air around him as he snored on. She grinned to herself finding his weapon a few feet from him. She picked it up slowly, creeping to him with weapon ready. The wolf awoke groggily, the feel of the cold steel at his throat bringing him around, only to find her paw tightly clamped around his muzzle. Finally coming to his senses he began to squirm, but froze as she applied pressure to against him. "Still yourself!" She hissed coldly. "Cooperate and I MAY let you live you dirty mutt. Give me your armor and your money." She demanded of him quietly, listening closely to make sure no one had stirred outside. He let out a disgruntled grow to her, staring intensely into her cold gaze. After a long moment she slowly let up the pressure of her hold on his muzzle. "In the chest." He would huff out angerly pointing to a chest at the other end of the tent. She would nod, moving from her position over him to the chest. She would open it quickly, rummaging in the dark until she found what she was searching for, but she paused briefly as she heard the wolf begin to move. She sighed to herself, her paw moving to grip the blade she had picked up, taking deep breaths as she counted his steps toward her, hearing them clearly in his clumsy manner. She head him begin to swing at her with something, ducking under it she turns, thrusting the sword through his unprotected chest with surprising ease. Since she had been captured, she had not killed someone, the first time putting her skill to use. It was shocking, but her nerves flared alive, her senses heightened as she watched him slump to the floor with only a light *thud*, his blood quickly pooling about him. She sat there for a long moment, just staring onto him in shock, the bloody sword sticking up out of the now lifeless body. The fire outside crackles, jerking her back to her senses once more. She swung back around, collecting the armor she quickly placed it on herself, finding a small bag of coins she put that in the belt before digging around again in the chest. Finding a cloak she wrapped it about herself as well before standing. She turned to the body once more, taking one last glance as she grabbed the sword and sheathed it, then turning and exiting the tent as quietly as she had entered. She moved like a shadow through the camp, even more unnoticed with the dark green cloak now about her. Reaching the edge of the camp she paused to look back, staring on it with a mix of emotions. She wished she could enact the revenge she had wished for, but knew she had not the power to do so and just took her freedom as her reward as she turned and slipped into the shadows of the forest, free at last from her bondage. What lay ahead.. She did not know, but at last what happened would be of her own choosing.
