"One" The light played off of the dime store windows in the dark night, a man sitting under a lamp-post next to an alley had been waiting for his contact there. "Two" It was two minutes till midnight and his contact should have come twenty-eight minutes ago. The man in the black suit was losing patience, and was very angry that the man had kept him waiting. He could have been on other jobs, but this one was fairly simple and paid to much. It seemed fishy, but it was just an in and out Hit, no names except the targets and no question except the right ones. "Three" Then the screech of braking tires met his ears, his contact had finally showed up. A car pulled into the alley and a man in a crisp, pin-stripped suit walked out and greeted him in a heavy accent. "Ah, so gooda of you to show up, Sir." The man in the pin-strip had said, expecting a smile and a wave, but he had gotten none of that. "Your late", the man under the lamp-shade growled in an annoyed tone. "Scuzie, it was, how do you say?... Late business meeting, Yes?". The man under the street lamp had just nodded and went along with it. "Did you bring my money?" Asked the man under the street lamp as he had adjusted his sunglasses, wearing them even though it was very dark. "Yes, I did'a bring yo' money" And at that, he pulled out a small lunchbox sized case, undoing the buckles and revealing a large stacks of one-hundred dollar bills. "Twenty grand up front, Yes?". The man with the black shades took it and examined it, "Yeah, okay then, lets get down to business". The man adjusted his tie and stepped out from under the street lamp and made an unseen signal to his counter-part that was watching them from out of a snipers scope on a rooftop not far away. A bead on the man with the pin-strips head, ready to blow it off just in-case there was a double cross.

The man with the pin-strip suits name was Stoch, and the man with the shades was Deus. Deus wondered why this man was paying so much for such a low end job, only in and out, for a hundred grand. He could be a cop or a fed, but at this point it didn't really matter. "So, who's the target?". Stoch turned around and scratched his feline chin, looking the wolf up and down, admiring his black suit as he spoke up. "the mans name is'a Jason vanderbult, and he has'a been a thorn in my side for a long'a time, you see?" The feline had gotten into the car, and nodding for the wolf to follow him, the driver turning on the cars engine. The wolf wasn't sure about this, but he got into the car and sat the opposite of the feline man, Stoch. "Where does he live, and does he have any security?" Stoch licked his lips and moved closer to the wolf, looking him up and down once more. "He lives in a big house, and he has little or no security at his home. The house is only a little ways from the docks, and is very visible from on top of a hill". Deus had noticed Stoch getting closer, and had put his right hand in his jacket, making it clear to the cat that he had no interest. "Okay, does he go to work, and if he does, what time does he get home?". Stoch had stopped in his tracks and adjusted his tie, moving back over as he felt a little resentment. "No, he work'a at home, so he can be with his wife and kids". The wolfs eyes shot open in surprise "Kids?.. you didn't tell me about the wife and kids, that wasn't part of the deal". Stoch smiled at the wolf now "Well, thats to bad, because you already accepted the payment, and now its done." Deus growled and bared his teeth at Stoch. "You son of a bitch, i said i don't do Kids!" The wolf almost pulled the gun in his jacket, but the driver responded first as he put a Nine millimeter to the wolfs head, his gruff voice pervading the air. "Put da' gun down, or i'm gonna fill your head wit' holes!". Deus had no other choice but to put the gun back in his jacket as the driver told him to get out, but not before Stoch handed him a box. "Here, your'a gonna need this, and he better be'a dead by tomorrow, or i'm come to get you, alright?" Stoch closed the door and the car sped off out of the alley. What Stoch had handed him was a construction workers suit, and a multi-head screwdriver. "I'll get you, you son of a bitch..."

The next morning, Deus found himself at the docks, slowly making his way up to the house on foot, the suit and the screwdriver in hand. He thought to himself 'This isn't the best place to go in broad daylight, i mean, there's hardly any cover anywhere, damnit'. He almost lost his footing as he made his way carefully up the steep hill, making his way to the back as he adjusted his shades and looked around. 'Coast's clear for now, but for how much longer?'. He found some bushes and trees near the back of the house, where to his surprise, there was an astoundingly large garden, lush and beautiful. He didn't have time to admire it though as he stripped down naked and hid his clothes in the bushes, putting on the construction workers outfit and stepped into the garden. "Hey, You!" Deus's heart froze and he thought he was caught, but instead a hand went on his shoulder and a feminene voice asked him daintily, "Could you help me move these flower pots?". And at that, Deus sighed in relief, turning around to see a feline in a maids uniform. "Sure, where do you need them moved?". "Oh, thank you, your such a gentleman" She pointed a little ways over to a sunny spot, and moved to grab a few small pots, leaving him with the big ones. Of which, there were quite a few. He grunted and picked up the first one, the damn thing felt like it was full of concrete. "Damn, whats in here?" He asked the maid. "Oh, a little concrete and sand on the inside, and the rest is dirt, miracle grow and that baby tree your holding" He sighed and put it down where she had directed him. "Shouldn't have asked". he made about three more trips and then was done, panting a little as he sat down, and the maid sat down with him. "That was a very nice thing you did for me back there, uhh.. would you maybe want to go have dinner with me sometime?" The question caught him by surprise as he shook his head and looked at her. "Erm.. sure, how about tomorrow?" He said, lying to her. "Oh, that would be great, here's my number" She took out a small piece of paper and a pen, scribbling some numbers down quickly as she handed it to him and got up. "I have to get back to work now, see you tomorrow". She almost danced as she walked off humming happily, leaving Deus a bit confused as he got up and stuck the number in his pocket. he didn't even get her name. He shrugged and pulled out the screwdriver, going inside the house which was draped in white sheets and full of ladders and the such, it was obviously getting renovated. "Right here, i want you to paint right here, and maybe cut some of the length off, okay?". Deus looked up as he saw a large tiger with glasses giving directions to a renovator. "Okay, Mr. Vanderbult" the renovator said, getting to work instantly as the tiger turned around and went into and office room. Deus took this opportunity to go in, grabbing a monkey wrench that was hanging about on a scaffolding. He knocked on the office doors, hearing the tigers deep voice boom out of it. "Come in", said the voice as Deus opened the rich wooden doors to reveal a beautiful office room, a small library right beside a chair and a roaring fire. "what do you want?" said Mr. Vanderbult, apparently lost in a book of some sort as he sat in the chair. "Theres a problem, Sir, we hit one of the water lines running through the house and its leaking water everywhere" Mr. Vanderbult looked a little perturbed at the news, getting up and going to the wolf easily dwarfing him by about four inches. "Show me where you hit it?". Deus pointed him to a small hallway, where there was nothing wrong. "Wait theres no water pip-" The tiger was cut off as Deus smacked him with the wrench and closed the door, the Tiger recovering, but not enough to yell for help as another blow found his face, smashing his glasses and leaving a large gash on right side of his forehead. "Auugh!" The tiger fell to the ground and tried to block the heavy blows that randomly struck him all on his body. "Stoch sent me" Was all the wolf said as hair and flesh accumulated on the end of the wrench, the tiger still moaning and pawing at the air "Pl-Please.. no more, i swear i won't tell anyone, i promise...". The wolf adjusted his shades which had slipped off of his snout while he was beating the tiger. "Okay, the offer on your life is a hundred grand, whats your counter offer?" the wolf said, thinking for a bit. "I'll pay you d-double..." The tiger wheezed as he pointed to a painting "My safes be-behind that, the combination is, ten left, seven right, and thirty left.. you'll find two hundred thousand dollars in there, now please d-don't kill me"

"So, thats two hundred grand for Stoch's head, and your life, am i correct?... ah what the hell, i'll do Stoch for free" Deus dropped the monkey wrench and went out of the office, waving to the renovator as he left. After he got outside to the garden, he ran to the bushes outside of the house and stripped, putting his suit on as he ditched the clothes and ran pell mell to the docks. "Okay Stoch... i'll see you soon"

Deus got back to his apartment an hour later, laying on the bed as he took a deep breath and called up Stoch. "Its done, now i want the rest of my money". And thats all Deus said as he hung up the phone and went to the bathroom, stripping once more as he stepped into the shower, taking off his shades and placing them on the sink as he winced and his Odd eyes adjusted to the light. "Well, at least it can't get any worse..." He turned on the shower head, shivering as cold water rained down upon him and washed away his troubles, the water gradually getting warmer as he washed his fur and closed his eyes, breathing deeply as he just thought and reflected about today, and past days of his life. Then the water got cold again. Then he realized that he had been there for at least an hour, and his fur was more than acceptably clean. He turned off the shower head and shook profusely in the shower, then grabbing a towel and drying off before stepping out and going into his bedroom, laying on the bed in the towel as he slowly drifted off to sleep. He awoke some odd hours later to some honking in the alley, he peered out his window and saw stoch and the driver get out of the car, Stoch was holding a large briefcase this time, no doubt it was his money. Too bad Stoch didn't bother to check up on Vanderbult first, cause by now he was probably in the hospital, recovering from those wrench wounds. Deus got out of bed and went to the bathroom, retrieving his suit and shades as he walked to the kitchen and grabbed a small long bladed knife, and concealing it in his sleeve. walking out the door and downstairs to meet Stoch. Stoch looked very pleased as he gave the driver the case, and the driver in turn going to hand it to Deus as Stoch turned around a brief instant to get something from the car. The driver turned around also as Stoch asked him something about a cell phone, and that was all Deus needed as the knife slid out of his sleeve and sank into the drivers belly, the driver, to shocked to scream as Deus put his hands over his mouth and ran the knife sideways, his guts slowly pouring out over the floor as he sank to his knees, gurgling coming from his throat. And deus quickly snuck up behind Stoch. "Where is'a deh phone damnit, Ricardo!" Deus looked down as he saw Stoch's tail whipping around, then he grabbed it and lifted it, to a surprised Stoch who looked back "Oh!, i didn't know you were like'a that..." He purred as he stayed in the same position he was in, but it was only when he looked back once more and saw the knife that he realized why Ricardo the driver didn't answer. "Get off me!" Stoch yelled as Dues put the knife to his tail and started to saw it off, the serrated meat cutting edges helped in that as he pulled the rest of the cats tail off, turning him over and pinning him as he reared his hand back and put the knife in his arm, Stoch screaming and squealing as he tried to get away, the blood from his tail stump flowing all over the seat. Deus twisted the knife in Stoch's arm, then pulled it out, flesh and fur coming off with it as he stabbed Stoch again in the stomach, pushing it deep as the cat spit up blood, crying and screaming out. "This wasn't part of the deal either, was it Stoch?" Deus said through gritted teeth. Pulling the knife out and putting it up to the cats eyes now, driving it in as far as the hilt, then swirling it around in Stoch's brain case, making the cat spasm and spit up more blood, one hand gripping Deus's arm carrying knife, an the other waving around in the care as Deus tore his arm free and opened the cars trunk, grabbing stoch and throwing him in, and the same for ricardo who died trying to put his guts back in his belly. He shut the trunk and left them there, only going back into his apartment to get a change of clothes and wash the blood off of his face. He went back into the alley and left the car there, knowing that sooner or later some punk would steal it and be in for a surprise. He sat under his usual fire escape, his ears twitching as he heard someone entering the alley... "Shit.."

He adjusted his shades and looked to where the sound was coming from, and seeing a female husky. She spotted him as he got up and introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Deus Asmodeus, Alleywalker" He smiled at the title, and decided to keep it. "Whats yours"

And that day, The wolf fell in love, But thats another story altogether.
