Mathew shrugged and pulled the last of the clip from his railgun and put it into a bag that held his other ammunition. "I can sense it, Blizz. This year I'm finally going to get a mate when the clans converge for the festival," he said happily.

The husky's expression became serious for a moment before he quickly stood up "You know it's never a good idea to find a mate outside our settlement. After the festival she'll have to go back to her home."

Mathew shrugged when the weapon shifted up further on his arm to free up his paw.

"Well, maybe I could convince her to stay. I mean, we are the largest Terveta community there is, so why wouldn't she?" he whispered, almost to himself.

Blizzard just stared at him while he looked off towards the lake, daydreaming. He sighed and stepped up to the panther.

"Just hope she isn't from one of their squads," he encouraged and then began down the hill for the warriors that were at the water's edge.

The two were playing like cubs. Vace was dipping his paws into the water and freezing the liquid into balls that he'd lob at Seth, but no matter how hard he tried he could never hit the speed demon. The young leopard would even form a strong shift of air and directed it at the spheres of ice to launch them back at the towering wolf. The lupine would dodge them on occasion, but the balls that did hit him just broke into shimmering shards.

Vace leaned down and brought both of his paws close to each other under the surface. He began to pull energy from the water, the liquid forming into crystals that grouped together forming the largest globe he had yet. He pulled it from the water and grinned hurling it with all his might for Seth. A bright flash came from the side as a bolt of plasma intercepted the projectile. It pierced all the way through, turning it to vapor and hit the lake in a steaming explosion. The two stared where it had hit in mid air and then turned to their Alpha that was walking up to them, his paw held out and glowing dimly.

"Still got it," he chuckled lowly to himself. He stopped just a few feet from them and smiled. "I'm going to be going back. If either of you want to follow you're more then welcome," he announced.

"I think we're both going to stay for a bit more, sir," Vace said bending down to form another ball of ice in his paws and then threw it for the feline. Blizzard nodded and then looked out where Crystal was.

She was hard at work building up a sandcastle using bits of glass she formed on her own. Bree was making her way for the shore using her hydrokinetics as propulsion.

"Blizz!" she called as her floaty reached the shore. The husky stopped and crossed his arms over his chest while he waited. The white vixen hopped up from her raft and trotted up to her Alpha with a beaming smile, her bright green bikini drawing everyone's attention.

"Mind walking me back home?" She asked happily.

"Sure," Blizzard smiled back and began the stroll for the settlement. She gave a happy yip and trotted close behind.

"Hey Seth, can you look after my floaty?" she yelled over her shoulder.

"Yeah!" he called back tiredly while still dodging flying ice balls. As the Husky passed by the panther they locked eyes and nodded his head happily. The Delta Alpha did the same while looking over the remaining Terveta. He followed the retreating couple with his ears for a shallow minute until he slowly sank down to a sitting position on the crest of the hill and glanced up at the sky.

Bree brought her paws above her head and her mouth opened in a great yawn while they continued along. She folded her paws together behind her head and stared around.

They had been walking through a massive meadow that connected the lake to the settlement, about two miles wide. The field was just a massive expanse of tall grass that reached up to her hips and a variety of flowers spaced every few feet from each other. It was then that she finally realized her Alpha's tensed state.
