World Profile
Castle Hypnos is a massive walled city in the middle of a beautiful countryside in a small country, Hypnos. The country is entirely peaceful, and has VERY friendly relations with all of their neighbors. It is a monarchy, run by a King and Queen, and under them a council of Elders. The Council is responsible for ensuring that the traditions, rituals, and ceremonies of Hypnos are upheld properly.
The two Princesses of Hypnos, Skye and Firena both earned their rule in a ritual which will be described later. However, the King and Queen still rule the country until they are old enough to take over. When they are old enough to take over, the Princesses will rule in tandem, rather than Firena (the older sister) taking the throne alone. As such, both Princesses spend much of their day being tutored to be able to run the Kingdom.
The Kingdom is very free about sex and sexuality. Public nudity is not only common, but encouraged. Public arousal is not considered embarrassing, but normal. Public sex, however, is slightly discouraged unless it is during a festival, ritual, or ceremony. What clothing people DO wear is usually very skimpy and revealing. Children are encouraged to explore their sexuality from a very early age. In fact, many of the ceremonies and rituals of the Hypnos Kingdom involve sex in some manner.
Hypnosis is also a part of the Kingdom's culture. Once again, many rituals and ceremonies involve placing the subjects into a deep trance. The Royal Family in particular is particularly important in this regard. Members of the Royal Family are conditioned from birth to be exceptionally susceptible to entrancement and hypnosis. When holding a court or a speech, it is common for the Royal Family member to be put into a trance to ensure that every word spoken is the truth.
However, due to this, the King, Queen, and their children and family are particularly vulnerable to being influenced and manipulated. Thus, several people are tasked with the well being of the Royal Family.
First is the Royal Sorceress (or Sorceror). It is her duty to place wards and protect the family from those who would seek to manipulate them for their own gain. The Royal Sorceress is usually very powerful, and grows up alongside the Princesses or Princes to ensure their loyalty and friendship. The Sorceress also is important for rituals and ceremonies, being the most important person in the Kingdom OTHER than the King and Queen.
Second are the Ladies or Lords. Noble families may send their children to serve the Royal Family as servants. Each family member has two servants, who grow up alongside the Princes or Princesses, once again, ensuring loyalty. In Skye's case, Kiyone and Serena are her Ladies. The Ladies' duty is to care for the Princesses in any way possible. They must groom the Princesses, keep them on schedule, assist with their schooling, help to tend to their Royal responsibilities, and tend to their sexual needs as well.
The Royal succession ceremony is an important part of the culture. The Princes and Princesses must be judged worthy of their rule by several criteria. First is purity, which is judged by their answers to a series of questions about their character and personality. Second is loyalty, which is ensured by the children being entranced and made to swear oaths to sever their country and its people. Third is the power to use magic, which is judged by a few simple tasks. Finally, the Princesses or Princes must prove their virility in a final test. For a full day, the Princesses are stimulated to the point of orgasm, but not allowed to actually achieve climax. Then in the final ceremony, a special container is placed in front of them, and they must fill it with their semen. If they are unable to fill it to the brim or overflowing, then they will not be allowed to rule. In that case, the next ranking member of the extended Royal Family, the First Duke or Duchess will take the crown.
Magical creatures are common in the world of Castle Hypnos. Dragons, phoenixes, cockatrices, sirens, were-folk, all are considered normal within this world. Most magical creatures are friendly to normal people, but some are VERY dangerous, so the people have an innate wariness about magical creatures.
