Act 1

A high pitch sound gradually increases in volume as the cell phone vibrates against the headboard of the bed. The room's only source of light comes from outside the window sill as the moon sets on the western horizon. With low visibility, the Doberman struggles to retrieve the phone to press the snooze button.

"Five more minutes won't hurt." The Doberman thinks to himself as he returns to his restful slumber.

Though the passage of time for the groggy canine experience was short lived as he repeatedly hit the snooze button on his phone. On the fifth attempt, he glances at the time. His body slowly awakens for the final time, dragging his feet paws to the bathroom to prepare for the day. After the intensive grooming, the canine grabs his concealed carried weapon and walks outside with a backpack full of text books. He looks up to see the sun already arising from the east signaling the early morning rise. The sunshine reflects off his well-kept black and brown fur as he absorbs the warm sun-rays into him.

He slides into a small blue car and sets out for the nearest freeway. Despite driving in the earlier hours of the morning, traffic was heavy along most of the journey. For much of his commute, he would pass by rows of cop cars and emergency vehicles that speed down the freeway. Though the Doberman did not worry as an hour passed by as he expected a delay and was coming to his classes early. With little over two hours to spare, he was confident that he'll settle on to the campus with ease and even explore for a while.

Though a harsh heavy feeling sets into his stomach as he sits behind several rows of cars that leads to the college campus. Inch by inch, the tires crawls at a slow pace as time slowly slips away from him. The canine tries to remain calm once he arrives at the parking structure, searching for a space to park. Time seem to travel faster as the canine frantically search for a space, with every single one taken. The mounting frustration builds within him as every other student would frantically race him in the search for a space. The canine drives around the entire campus, finding no available space. With one hour remaining, the sweat and steam builds up inside the small blue car as he's moments away from giving into his frustration and returning home. He returns back to the several story structure parking garage and sees a herd of students pouring out from the class rooms. The early morning classes' finishes as some of the students were returning home for the day.

In front of him, a small red van pulled up to one of the feline students who was walking towards the garage. The calico pointed to where she was headed as the red van was at a complete stop. After a brief back and forth, the small calico climbs inside as they both drive away towards the parking space. This stirs up an idea for the Doberman as he drives to one of the quad buildings. He slowly drives up to a small brown pony at the curb, lowering the darker tinted passenger window.

The Doberman leans in with his ears pointed ears standing straight up, "Excuse me, are you going back to your car? Mind if I drop you off there?"

The brown pony stands with a stiff posture as he looks over Doberman, intimidated by him.

"No thanks... I was just going to pick up something. Excuse me." The pony then fast walks towards the garage as the Doberman comes to a complete stop.

With 30 minutes left before the first class starts, he slumps over the steering wheel in defeat. His forehead pressed against the dashboard, his ears become hot with embarrassment.

"He probably thinks I'm a freak, I'm so screwed!" He thinks to himself sulking in his driver's seat.

As he puts his gear back in drive, a voice shouts towards him just before driving off. The Doberman looks over to see where the direction as coming from.

"Hey! You there, mind if I catch a ride?" A male voice calls out.

The Doberman looks over to see a small young otter approach his vehicle. As he comes from the swimming pool near the gymnasium, his tan fur was glossy and slightly damped. He had a towel around his neck and a small gym bag in his left hand.

"Oh sure no problem, let me get the door." The Doberman unlocks his car. His fur slightly stands up in excitement.

The otter sets the towel down and sits beside him as they drive off into the nearby parking garage.

"So where are you parked?" The Doberman asks casually.

"Get to the fourth floor and I will show you. Sorry if I get your seat a little wet, just came back from swimming." The otter nervously chuckled.

"I'm just happy to finally get a break for a change. I've been looking for a park space all morning, I thought I was going to lose it!" The Doberman replied with a soft laugh.

"Yeah I hear you, that's why I registered for the earliest classes; I did not want to deal with that shit either." The otter smiled at him. "The name's Josh by the way."

"Mine is Cameron, it's nice to meet you dude." The Doberman reaches out to shake his hand.

They wait both wait in a small line of cars, heading towards the second floor. The car was silent for a few minutes before the otter spoke again.

"So is this your first time here?" Josh asks.

"Yes it is, I didn't think parking would be this much of a nightmare. I just transferred in as an undergrad. And how about you?" Cameron replied.

"I've been here for a year or so, mainly came here for the watersports program."

"Watersports?" Cameron says with a perverted thought crossing his mind.

"You know like high diving, water polo, and swimming. I wanted to be trained here and someday compete in the Olympics. And this school is going is going to help me." Josh smiled at him.

"Oh right I knew what you meant. Well I hope you reach them." Cameron chuckled nervously.

After reaching the fourth floor, Josh pointed towards the white sedan.

Once they've arrived, Josh steps outside the car and hastily grabs his gym bag.

"Thanks again for the ride Cameron. Take care!" He waves before shutting the car door.

Cameron backs up and lets Josh leave before taking his space. The Doberman checks the time to see he has 15 minutes left before class. Before stepping out of the car, he glances over to his passenger seat to see a small towel. Cameron lifts the towel up and looks around for the white sedan in a sea of cars.

"Aw shit..."

Act 2

The hot afternoon sun beats down onto the campus as students are released from their afternoon classes. Cameron whips the sweat off his brow as he heads over to the activities booth browsing the many clubs offered at the school. While waiting in line, the Doberman ears perk up at the familiar figure that fast approaches him.

Josh pants heavily as he catches up to the canine, "Hey remember me? I've left something in your car!"

"Oh right I saw, I didn't know when I would see you again. So I washed it and have it in my bag." Cameron digs through his back pack and hands him the towel.

"Ah thanks, you're awesome dude!" Josh smiles and stands next to him. "So looking for a club to join?"

"Not necessarily to join, but I wanted to see what they provide." Cameron says as his eyes scans the rows of booths before him.

"What about you, I assume you joined the swimming club?"

"I wouldn't say join, more along the lines of required. What do you enjoy the most?" Josh asks as they walk side by side.

"Besides reading boring ass overpriced text books? I'm surprised there's more to this school than they let on." Cameron says with a light chuckle.

"You be surprised how many nerds run their own clubs here. Gaming, anime, arts, music, and I'm sure you would find an underwater basket weaving club if you look hard enough!" Josh replies with a soft laughter.

"So, what other clubs do you join for fun?" Cameron tilts his head.

"Besides swimming, I don't join any other. I prefer to do my own little get together and hang outs."

"Why, don't want to be seen with a bunch of fucking nerds?" Cameron chuckles as they walk away from the quad where the clubs are set up.

"Right, if anything I'm the biggest nerd you will ever find. My city has lots of stores that I tend to hang out around." Josh smiles and points towards the general direction to his city.

"Where do you live?"

"Greenhill, just a 15 minute drive from here. How about yourself?"

Cameron pauses for a moment, "I live in Clermont."

Josh smiles, "Oh how cool that's not too far from there. Say would you like to hang out sometime? I know some awesome places to eat."

The Doberman looks to him, a bit puzzled, "Well if I haven't killed myself yet in the next week or so from the work load..."

Josh playfully punches his shoulder as he laughs, "A simple yes or no will do. Don't waste my time with that kind of bullshit."

"Alright than sure..." Before Cameron could finish his cell phone vibrates in his pocket. He checks the time and sees his alarm going off. "Shit I got to go to class. Mind trading numbers?"

"No problem." Josh says as they exchange numbers.

Josh waves good bye as Cameron head's towards the math and science building. On the way, the large canine cannot help but smile to himself at the idea of hanging out with the otter. Despite only meeting him for the second time, he already began to grow a fondness for Josh. A perverted thought crossed his mind, imagining what the otter's slender athletic body could possibly hint. Cameron shakes his head to snap himself out of the fantasy, reminding himself to not get carried away with his thoughts. Especially over a person he just met. Cameron assumes that for all he knows the otter could be a straight.

"Still... Josh seems to be a decent guy. I hope he's into guys or at least curious." Cameron thinks to himself as he takes a seat and attends the afternoon lecture.

Act 3

The bright sunlight sets westward, shinning over a lone canine as he stands in front of a red brick building. With a dimmed red sign written in Chinese, Cameron waits outside for his otter friend. He shifted as the concealed carried weapon digs into his right pant leg while he waits alone outside. The only messages exchanged between Cameron and Josh were the directions and time. No matter how much he insisted, Josh gave little information about what else was planned for the day.

The familiar white sedan approaches and parks beside Cameron's car. The otter sets aside his dark shades and greets Cameron with a warm smile.

"Ah you finally made it. Thought you were going to ditch me." Cameron says as he gives the otter a friendly hug.

"Like I would miss out on this. I've taken you to one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. After swim practice, I could really eat." Josh pats his belly as they head inside.

The aroma of the food was a sucker punch to Cameron, instantly awakening his ravenous cravings for Chinese food as a thin cloud of smoke hangs in the air. They both took their seats, sitting across from one another as Cameron reads over the English part of the menu. With a vast amount of options, Josh orders for both of them.

"So how did you find this place? It was kind of out of the way just to get here." Cameron said.

"That's because it's a local joint. Not meant for normies." Josh sticks his tongue out.

"Normies... I'll kick your ass if you keep using those stupid memes." Cameron playfully reaches over to punches his left shoulder.

"Oh bite me, you're not so scary big boy!" Josh keeps his tongue stuck out.

"Well you're not wrong about being big I will give you that. But I will eat you before our meal comes if you keep this up." Cameron shows his sharp canine teeth.

They both laugh as their food arrives. Cameron sighs in content as his stomach slowly swells with food. The beautifully fried rice, eggs, vegetable, and fish mixed with the best combinations of seasoning available. The warm food and atmosphere relaxed the canine as he was able to fully enjoy himself. As their meals were winding down, Cameron decide to continue their conversation.

"So what made you want to be a swimmer? Why not musician, a writer, or a modern artist?" Cameron said in a joking tone.

"Because I want to make a career out of the hobby I love. My coach from middle school help me figure what I need to do in order to achieve my goal. To be able to swim for a living and not be stuck at a dead end job would be perfect."

"Wouldn't we all... but what would happen if you were not able to swim? Do you have a backup plan?"

"You sure sound a lot like my mom." Josh nervously chuckled. "I wouldn't put myself in that situation in the first place. I have to make it work and I will be damned if someone or something stops me from doing so. But I do have other options if something like that were to happen. But I just did not want to think about that kind of stuff right now."

"I get it, I'm glad that it's working out for you. Any idea of when you'll get to compete in the Olympics?" Cameron tries to change the subject.

"That will be a while. If I score well in the local, regional, state, and national competitions than I might be able to be recruited into the US team. It's a stretch, but I think I can do it." Josh smiles as he sets aside his plate. "What about you? Any idea of what you plan to do? If you get a degree in communications, you could use it for lots of things to manipulate people. Like become a lawyer, a new age healer, an anti-vaccination consultant, or better yet the president."

"Ha, yeah those things could lead me to easy street. But what I'm going to do is use my education for good. I plan on majoring in criminal justice. I could be a police officer, detective, special agent, pretty much anything that helps curb crime in my neighborhood." Cameron nods proudly.

"Wow that's awesome! It must be a stressful job though, dealing with the worst of the worst." Josh says in a concerned tone.

Cameron reflected on his comment and comely spoke, "I understand that it will put my life at risk. But I want to be the change that makes a significant impact. That's why I've chosen this life."

They are soon interrupted with the stallion waiter as he hands them the bill. Josh reaches out to grab the check but accidentally place his hands over Cameron's. Without exchanging any more words, they hold still with their hands lightly holding each other. Cameron canine ears become warm as his heart lightly beats faster in his muscular chest. Josh softly caresses his thumb against Cameron's fuzzy hand, his amber eyes shine brightly with excitement as he meets Cameron's gaze. The canine contemplates about the situation, he lets out a small chuckle nervously about his next action.

"So should we just split it or..." Cameron let's his words wonder.

"Oh shit, sorry." Josh revokes his hands off Cameron's. "Yeah let's split the check even."

They both paid in full and left a tip before leaving. Once outside they both said their goodbyes and give each other a friendly hug. Cameron's chin rests on top of the otter's head, as he holds the hug for a few more seconds. Josh makes a few clicking noises that are follow by a cute purr similar to a feline.

Cameron steps into his car and drives back to the dreary city. His heart still beats in rapid succession as strong feelings build within him. Josh's small display of affection gives the canine hope that perhaps they could become closer than he expected. To Cameron, he felt the otter had more than shown interest in him. Despite Cameron's intimidating outer exterior, the otter had seen past it.

Act 4

A few weeks have passed as Cameron heads over to Josh's place. While driving, the canine cannot help but feel nervous for this occasion. Josh had asked him to take them to a local eatery in his area. While there were a few selections to choose from, Cameron is uneasy about showing the otter around his city. He contemplates whether or not to bring his firearm with him as they head out into the night. Once the canine stops in front of the two story house, Cameron checks the loaded weapon before he slips it into the concealed hostler in his left pant leg. Cameron shifts in his seat as the concealed firearm rubs against his leg.

Cameron rolls down the tinted passenger window, looking out towards Josh's house. The bright green lawn, delicate flowers stretch across, and large tree loom over the house. Cameron could see the otter smile as Josh runs up to the car and steps inside.

"Thanks for picking me up. I'm so excited to see what you'll bring me too!" Josh shifts in his seat as they drive off.

"It's no trouble. I know a great Japanese place that serves one of the best sushi ever. I know how much you otters enjoy fish." Cameron replies.

"Damn straight, I know this will be good! Any chance we could walk around in your town for a while?"

"That... wouldn't be for the best. Believe me it's not very safe once it becomes completely dark. Plus most of the main attractions tend to close early around 8:00pm. We can catch a movie if you really want!"

"Sure a movie sounds perfect. Thanks again for taking me!"

Cameron sighs heavily as he tries to calm himself as they enter Clermont. As they drive through the apartment complexes and abandoned houses the canine looks over to Josh. Despite his best effort, Josh can see a vague nervous expression written on Cameron's face. Though the drive was short after they pass a gas station and enter into a small complex housing small businesses.

Once inside the restaurant, Cameron was able to let relax a bit in his seat. The Doberman sits himself next to the otter as they order from the large extensive menu. They were able to hold casual conversation as few patrons came in and out of the restaurant, leaving the door open. As the two continue to chat, Cameron's small tail wags with joy as it lightly rubs against the otter's leg. With their sushi served, they enjoyed the unique flavors of each dish. Cameron casually scooted closer to Josh, testing to see how comfortable the otter could be around him.

Cameron swallowed heavily and looked toward Josh as he was about to speak. He was cut off when a strange female voice echoed from outside.

"Hey, stop! What are you doing?"

Cameron's ears perk up as he hears a female voice coming from outside. He looks over to see where the voice had come from. With the sun already settle, visibility was low as the night sky settled in. The lack of lights inside the complex made it difficult to see what was going on. All Damon could see was a tall canine figure that stood next to a small sedan with an occupant inside.

"Everything alright?" Josh looks over to him with a mouth full of fish.

"I think so, anyway I..." Cameron pauses as a loud scream could be heard from outside.

Everyone inside the restaurant froze in their seats and turned their direction outside. One male German Shepard walked outside into the night as the rest stayed in their seats. The shrieking scream echoed as it only became louder and more desperate. Cameron stands up and looks over to Josh.

"I will be right back, stay here." Cameron calmly spoke.

Then in quick succession several loud blasts erupted outside the restaurant. That sound was then followed with broken glass inside the restaurant. Cameron's fur coat stands on ends as he sees few quick flashes of yellow light that pointed in their direction. The shots were soon followed with a loud booming sound. He turned around and grabbed Josh by the shoulder, pulling the otter onto the ground as the larger canine laid on top of him.

Cameron's large muscular body shielded him from the broken glass as the bullets pass through the restaurant. Underneath Cameron, he could feel Josh squirm around with fear as the otter looked up to him with wide eyes panicking. Cameron still remained calm throughout the ordeal as he waits for the loud shots to die down. After a few seconds, Cameron pulls Josh by his shirt collar as he heads towards one of the bathrooms.

"Everyone inside the bathrooms now!" The feline owner yelled out as Cameron drags the otter inside the restroom.

Everyone followed behind him, some on their knees crawling while others duck for cover as they pour into the restroom. Cameron stands Josh up, softly hugging him as the otter buries his face in the Doberman's t-shirt. Cameron tries his best to calm down the scared otter as a few in the restroom start calling 911. Just outside the restroom, everyone else could hear another rounds of loud shots going off. Cameron assumed there must have been return fire coming from another direction but he was unable to tell where exactly.

"Where is my husband? I can't find him!" A panic female German shepherd said.

Cameron calmly spoke, "Where did you last see him m'am?"

"We were eating at one of the tables. I was just about to go to the restroom. Then I heard the gun shots, you guys came in and... I don't see him anywhere!" The female German shepherd began to cry. "He just got off of work today, he's an off duty police officer!"

"It's alright, just stay here and wait for a bit. I'm sure your husband is fine." Cameron replied, clutching the concealed firearm in its hostler.

He looked around to see how terrified most of the patrons where as they huddle around the corners of the restroom. Josh had finally stop crying, sniffling as his eye became red and puffy. Cameron contemplated about the situation; he was more concern that whoever fire those shots might run in and take everyone hostage. The massive responsibility to protect everyone inside the restaurant weighted on him as he came to a decision. The canine slowly unveiled his concealed firearm and peeked outside the door to scan the room.

"I'm going to check on the owner. I will be right back." Cameron told everyone.

Just before he could step outside the restroom a powerful grip pulled him back inside. He turned his head to see Josh tightly gripping around his right wrist. Small tears started to roll down the otters cheek as he pulls the canine back to him.

"Please don't go!" Josh cries out.

"I need to make sure the owner is alright. At the very least I have to make sure that this woman's husband is also okay!" Cameron said to him.

"I can't lose you though! I just... please don't go!" Josh pleads as more tears roll down his chin.

Cameron froze in place as he shuts the door. He waits with the rest of the patrons quietly, holding onto the otter. The canine continues to hold the pistol in his left hand as his right hand wraps around the otters lower midsection, hugging him tightly. Time had seem to come to a crawl as they waited from any response from outside the restroom. The female German shepherd softly weeps into her shirt as they continue to wait for 10 agonizing minutes.

Then the door flew open as the feline owner stepped into the restroom.

"Alright you can come out now." He said, holding the door for everyone to step outside.

Cameron slides the small firearm back under its hostler, concealing it with his shirt as they walked out. He saw the female German shepherd rush out first. She went up to hug a male German shepherd that sat in one of the seats. Cameron sat back in his seat along with Josh as they overhear the conversation that buzzes throughout the room.

"A woman was shot multiple times outside. I found the vehicle and returned fire as the suspect fled! Someone's with the woman right now giving her first aid. I'm just waiting for the first responding officers to show up so I can report what happened." The male German shepherd explained to his wife, breathing heavily.

"There was a shooting? I thought someone just got ran over from all of those screams!" Another patron said in response.

"Maybe it was some kind of robbery perhaps?" A male cat said in reply.

To Cameron's viewpoint, no one else seemed to have been hurt by the stray bullets that passed by the restaurant. Out in the distance, they could see strobes of red and blue lights enter inside the complex. The incident had taken place several feet in front of the store as a news van park outside the restaurant blocking the view of the crime scene.

Cameron softly caresses and pets Josh's backside, helping the otter relax in their seat. Their meals had grown cold as they haven't finished eating. Suddenly the feline owner hands them two large sodas and smiles warmly.

"These are on the house." He said with a heavy accent.

Cameron nods as he gives a few sips before eating the rest of his meal. Josh became silent, leaving his dish untouched. Once Cameron finished eating, he packed Josh's leftovers and gently held his hand as they step outside. Their car was parked just a few feet from the crime scene as police tape was starting to wall off the area. Cameron could see the male German shepherd answering a few questions to his fellow colleagues. The rest of the officers were heading inside the restaurant to recover the evidence and interview more witnesses.

As the two of them got closer to the crime scene, Josh tightly grips his left hand as they reach their car. Cameron started the engine and slowly drove away from the crime scene heading for Josh's house. He turned off the radio as a heavy silence filled the car. On occasion, Josh sniffles and blows his nose with a small tissue box inside the car.

Cameron soon arrived and stop outside Josh's house and notice no one was in the drive way. He hands Josh the left overs and tries his best to give him a soft reassuring smile.

"Thanks for eating with me today. I'm sorry about everything. " Cameron held his Josh's hand.

Josh clings onto the canine's large hand as he speaks in a shaky voice, "You saved my life back there. I can't thank you enough for what you did. I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you. I know I was selfish for not letting you go back there... I... I..."

Cameron unbuckles his seat belt and leans over to hug the otter. The otter's small arms wrap around the canine's lower waist as he deeply cried into his shoulder. Cameron softly trails his hands along the otter's back, nuzzling his neck as he lets the otter release his grief. The car became foggy as their body heat warms up the windows. Cameron felt Josh shake in his arms as he continues to weep. The otter's small hands tightly clings and grips onto his broad body as he starts to calm down. After a few minutes, the otter nuzzles into Cameron's t-shirt as he regained his breathing.

"Will you be okay tonight?" Cameron softly spoke, stroking the otter's head fur.

"Yeah I think I will be fine... are you alright?" Josh's amber eyes brightly shine with worry.

Cameron's red eyes gazes into Josh's, he forces a warm smile. "Yeah I will be okay. What matters is your well-being. Would you like to take home the left overs buddy?"

Josh nods softly and wipes his tears away with his arm sleeve. Cameron steps outside the car and walks with Josh to his door step. With a warm hug, Josh steps inside the house carrying his left overs.Cameron returned back to his car and drove home. He noticed that no one else was at the house as he pulls into the drive way. Once entering inside, he drops to the floor with his back against the front door. The canine breaths sharply holding back his tears.

"I've screwed up so much. I should never have taken him there. I should never had pulled out my gun like that. I should have never scared him like that... now I might have ruined everything with Josh." Cameron thinks to himself as he drags himself into bed.

The next morning, Cameron checks the news to see that the woman from yesterday had died. Not only did her ex-lover killed her in cold blood, but the black Doberman was found several blocks later taking a hostage at a local Mexican taco stand. Cameron knew something like that would have happen but figured the black Doberman didn't take them hostage because of the off duty police officer firing back.

While they continue to hang out throughout the week, Cameron never felt the same after that day. Every night he would listen and console Josh, acting as a shoulder to cry on as the otter recounted the recent nightmares he's been having. Cameron committed himself to always being there for him no matter how he personally felt.

Act 5

Two weeks later after the incident, Cameron sat by himself in the lunch room. With his books scattered across the table, he silently ate to himself as he watch the afternoon news on his phone. He watches news reports of his own town's trouble with disarray as there seemed to be something new every day. Cameron mainly focused on his meal while students would pass by him, sitting several seats away from the intimidating looking Doberman.

Cameron felt a soft tap on his shoulder, he looks over to see Josh standing behind him.

"Hey dude, how are you?" Cameron said with a soft smile.

"Doing alright, just having lunch after a swim. Mind if I join you if that's okay?" Josh said holding a small tray of food.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind that." Cameron replied as the otter sat across from him.

"So everything alright on your end Cameron? You seem a bit busier the last few days." Josh ask him.

"Yeah, I just have a midterm paper and a project to complete later this week. I'm sorry we haven't talked or hanged out as much."

"Well that's okay I understand. If it's not too much to ask would you like to hang out at my place after lunch?" Josh reached out to softly hold Cameron's hand.

"I be more than happy to hang out. Thanks dude." Cameron rubs his thumb against the otter's palm.

Josh let out a light purr as they start to eat their lunch. While few words were exchanged, they enjoyed one another's company for the past few minutes. Once they had finished their meals, they headed towards the parking garage and drove to Josh's house. There was no one home so Cameron parked in the drive way and followed the otter inside the home. Cameron was impressed by the lavish furniture on display as they head towards one of the nicer living rooms. He sets down his bag on the couch as Josh sits next to the canine. With the flat screen turned on, the otter softly places his hand on Cameron's right leg.

"Hey I wanted to ask you something important if that's alright." Josh said softly.

"What's up?" Cameron replied.

"Well, I'm a bit worried about you. It just look like something's bothering you and I wanted to help." Josh spoke honestly, his tail tucked between his legs.

Cameron breaks into a cold sweat as the otter was spot on with his assumption. But Cameron tries his best to mitigate the situation.

"It's nothing really. I'm doing okay it's just that school work has been weighting me down recently. It's something that can't be helped." Cameron says with a soft laughter.

"But I'm not sure about that. You've helped me through a lot lately and I want to be able to return the favor." Josh softly rubs Cameron's leg.

Cameron looks down to avoid eye contact as he tries to keep up his smile, "You've returned the favor plenty by sticking with me. It was my fault for exposing you to something like that. While I'm used to it, I should have known better than to bring you there."

Josh then reaches out to softly stroke his backside, "But it wasn't your fault though, things like that are beyond our control."

"Of course it was my fault!" Cameron said loudly, clenching his fist in anger. "I knew exactly how dangerous it gets at night. Yet I went against my gut instinct and still put you in danger regardless. I was ready to kill that punk who murdered his own girlfriend. I was about to abandon you in that restaurant and leave you alone with those other patrons. What I did... was a dick move. You don't need to down play it to spare my feelings, I'm a fucking grown ass man and I can take it!"

A single tear crawled down the canine's muzzle as Josh sat on the couch, stroking his backside. "You don't have to hold all of it in though, it's not healthy. The more you keep this buried inside you, the worse it will affect you."

Cameron looked away as Josh scoots closer, sitting side by side with the Doberman. "Listen no one else has to know about this. It's okay to not always be strong, I won't judge you or look at you any differently after this. It will just be between us, I promise."

"But I have hold my emotions in so that I could be strong for everyone's sake. Even though I was terrified that day I didn't save your life because I wanted to be a hero. I did it because I didn't want to ruin your life. I didn't want to risk crippling you or killing you because of my mistake. You're the first person to not see me as a threat or a thug but someone who treated me with dignity and respect. And I thought I might have ruined what we had... I'm not as tough as you make me out to be. Underneath this scary looking Doberman is nothing more than a frighten young pup. If that sicko had seriously harmed you under my watch... I would have not been able to live with myself anymore." Cameron couldn't withhold his emotions anymore as a stream of tears drip onto his lap.

All the pent up pain, frustration, anger, and sadness were all released in those few minutes. Josh simply stayed next to the Doberman and listen as Cameron silently weeps into his hand, covering up his face. Cameron still avoided eye contact with Josh as he feels ashamed and embarrassed for losing his composure. He could feel the otter's warm body gently press up against his side as they sat on the couch together.

Josh broke the silence, "Cameron, I don't think you give yourself enough credit. Honestly something like that could have happened anywhere, even here! But what you did was very brave. You literally laid your life on the line by pulling me down and laying on top of me. You pull me into safety and was able to take control of the situation. I don't know anyone else in the world that would do that for me. None of my other friends would and not even some of my family."

A few minutes pass as Cameron regains his breath as he leans in to nuzzle the otter's cheek. "Josh, I don't know what else to say other than thanks. Thank you for letting me get that off my chest. It was bothering me for a while. You know, I'm glad you're different from everyone else."

Josh smiles, "Of course, you are a very special guy to me. I would still enjoy your company if that's alright? But could I ask you one favor?"

"Sure, you name it."

Josh pauses and softly holds his right hand, "Can you please not bring your gun around? It makes me feel uneasy, I'm sorry."

Cameron chuckles as he rubs his eyes with left arm, "It is okay, I know after a situation like that a gun would seem scary. But it's just a tool. I will at least make sure to let you know I have it if that's alright with you."

Josh nods before he stands up and stretches out his arms. "Very well, just let me know when you do have it."

They both smiled and let out a long winded sigh of relief. Josh leans down to softly kiss the canine's forehead, "Now, would you want to play some games and drink a few sodas?"

"I love that." Cameron looks up to him.

The two spend the rest of the afternoon playing online as the day passes on. After a few matches, Josh puts in a movie as they sit next to each other and watch the film. Throughout the movie, Cameron scoots closer to the otter until they both end up next to each other. He softly pets the otter's smooth stomach fur with one paw as the other wraps around Josh's shoulder. The more the movie played, the more physically closer they've became. Cameron decides to make his move to see how comfortable the otter has gotten around him. He starts off with a small nuzzle underneath the otter's neck. His hand rests on Josh's lap as his cold wet nose deeply nuzzles into Josh, making him sigh with delight. Once Josh was comfortable with the Doberman's actions, Cameron leans in to softly kiss along his neck. It causes the otter to lightly chuckle as his soft lips and tongue glides over the neck fur.

Josh then responds by turning his attention towards Cameron, completely ignoring the movie. Josh makes the first move as he leans, his neck slightly arched up as their lips both connect with a sweet kiss. Cameron's eyes became wide with surprised, his pupils dilated with excitement as they hold the sweet kiss for a while. The air became humid and warm as they breathe deeply, taking in what had just occurred.

Cameron's large arms pulls him in close, having the otter lay on top of the large Doberman as they continue to kiss. They kick aside the remote and some of the pillows as their lips connected. Cameron's curious canine tongue lightly slides into the otters, exploring his warm mouth for a while. He could feel Josh lightly squirm on top of him as their tongue lightly intertwine. After a few minutes, their muzzles separate to regain their breathing.

"You... kind of taste good actually." Josh spoke softly, lightly embarrassed about his remark.

"Same for you... would it be alright if we get comfortable somewhere else?" Cameron spoke, waiting nervously as he hopes the otter picks up on what he's implying.

Josh becomes flustered at his request, thinking to himself how long he has the Doberman all to himself. "Sure... but would it be alright if we take it slow?"

Cameron smiled, "We can go at your pace, if you're ever too uncomfortable just let me know."

The otter grins with excitement as he shifts off the Doberman. The two both head upstairs and enter inside the otter's bedroom. A large king size bed dominates most of the room with the window just underneath it. On the left corner is a wooden desk stacked with books and papers. Just next to the bedroom door is a small closet where the otter puts away his shoes.

Cameron watch as the otter slowly strips down to his white briefs. The Doberman admires Josh's lean and muscular body, the years of swimming has molded his body into that of a professional athlete. A large bulge grows in his white briefs, hinting at what is underneath.

Cameron does the same and strips down to only his red boxers. While muscular all around, his large exterior frame had some traces of fat along his stomach and buttocks. Though not as physically fit as the otter, Josh didn't seem to mind as he reaches out to touch his muscular arms and chest.

"You're a pretty solid guy, do lots of lifting?" Josh asks curiously.

"I do lots of lifting for my part time job, it has some benefits. You're pretty awesome yourself there." Cameron notes as his hands lightly trace along the otter's side.

Cameron lets Josh push him down on the bed, letting the otter lay on top of him as they resume their kiss. The sensation of each other's soft fur heighten their experience, softly moaning inside the bedroom. Cameron's large arms cling around the otter's waist, pulling him closer to his body as their fur grinds against each other's. While their arousal were made apparent, they both mainly focus on exploring each other's bodies with their curious hands.

As they continue to kiss, Cameron discovered many spots that reveal Josh's weak points. Along Josh's stomach was sensitive to the touch along with his shoulders, neck, the base of his tail, and his male nipples. The more his paws lightly caress them, the more aroused the otter became deepening their kiss.

"You're a pretty good kisser, Josh." Cameron says to him as their muzzles separate.

Josh makes a nervous chuckle, "I'm glad I'm doing okay. You are my first kiss, so at least I'm doing something right."

Cameron licks his lips, "Well, if you ever need to practice I'm more than happy to help."

They both laugh playfully as Josh snuggles up to Cameron's left side. The otter rests his head on top of Cameron's broad chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat. Cameron lets out a heavy sigh and simply stares up to the ceiling, hoping that this moment could last forever.

Act 6

After that day at Josh's house, they both chat with each other on a regularly basis either in person or by text. The two would often see each other on campus and discuss the daily events that had happen. On occasion they would carpool each other to classes so that after their course work they could spend the rest of the day hanging out.

As they each lunch together at the cafeteria, Josh couldn't help but ask Cameron a personal question.

"Say Cameron I have to ask, have you ever had a boyfriend before?" Josh says, holding his water bottle nervously.

"No you're the first in that respect. But I did have two girlfriends before meeting you. I'm definitely not a virgin... I hope that doesn't bother you." Cameron spoke honestly.

"So long as you're clean I don't mind. Have you...ever been tested?" Josh looks away nervously.

"Yes I have, I had too after I found out the last one cheated on me." Cameron replied coldly.

"Sorry I didn't mean to bring up the past. I just wanted to make sure." Josh said in a disappointing tone.

"Oh it's alright. That stuff is all in the past, I don't mind being honest with you." Cameron grins evilly. "Are you planning something for me with these questions?"

Josh chuckles nervously and shifts in his seat, trying to contain his arousal in his pants. "No reason at all. But maybe after my swimming competition today we can celebrate at my place. Just the two of us if you're not busy."

Cameron thought about his offer, knowing full well that he has an important exam coming up tomorrow morning. However, with the opportunity to become closer to the otter and cheer him on at the competition was something he couldn't pass up.

"I love celebrate with you dude. I'm sure you'll do just fine." Cameron pats his shoulder.

As they finish with lunch, the walk hand and hand towards the gymnasium and head towards the large Olympic size indoor swimming pool. Cameron had never step inside the gymnasium and look around in awe struck at the facilities impressive construction. The sleek modern design was able to accommodate the large swimming pool. Each session of the large pools served a purpose from high diving to water polo. Josh pointed where the visitors would sit as he heads inside the gym to get in uniform. Cameron waited in the stands and watch the otter walk out in a tight black speedo. There was a few hours till the competition start, the Doberman couldn't help but admire his otter as he stretches and warms up with the rest of the other swim team members. While the amount of visitors were a small amount, Cameron was still enthusiastic about the events about to take place.

Josh was able to perform with absolute ease, acing every event he participated in. His athleticism on full display impressed the Doberman as he made every single event look easy to do. Watching the wet otter perform made him cheer loudly in the stands. The judges who resides in front of the audience were seen talking in depth as they watch Josh perform his routines.

Once they announce the winners for each event, Cameron came down from the stands to congratulate the otter with his victories. He didn't mind that Josh was soaking wet, getting his cloths slightly damped.

"Nice job out there. You made it look so easy." Cameron said patting his back.

"Trust me it wasn't easy. But I'm glad I was able to ace it this time. I need to catch up with the rest of my team mates. Mind getting the car ready for me?" Josh kisses his cheek.

"Sure, I can do that." Cameron smiles and lets the otter regroup with the rest of his team mates.

After a quick change of clothes, Josh runs outside and meets up with Cameron. They climb into the car and drive off towards the nearest freeway entrance. Josh lays his warm hand on the Doberman's lap.

"Say I hope I haven't been a bother lately. I do appreciate you driving me this time, helps saves me gas money." Josh softly rubs Cameron's lap.

Cameron keeps his eyes on the road and speaks, "Hey listen you haven't been a bother lately. You've made me such much happier these last few weeks, I wouldn't trade you for anyone else."

Josh reaches out to hold Cameron's right hand, "I am too, thanks again dude."

Cameron smiled, "Well say there's still time to celebrate if you're in the mood."

Josh holds the Doberman's hand and wiggles his tail, "Yeah, say I didn't get a chance to shower back at the gym... would it be alright if we showered together?"

The idea makes Cameron shift in his seat as a slight arousal grows in his tight pants. "Oh, sure we can do that if there's no one else home."

The arousing idea distracted Cameron for the road as he breaks out of the fantasy to stop at a red light, coming to a screeching halt. Cameron chuckles nervously as he comes to a stop with a few car horns blaring from behind him. He tries his best to refocus on the road as they soon arrive at Josh's house. The drive way was empty as he parks and heads inside with Josh.

"Say Josh, how come your folks aren't home?" Cameron asks as they take off his shoes.

"They are off vising relatives for a few days." Josh says setting aside his gym bag.

"Why didn't they come to the competition today?" Cameron asks with some concern.

"It was a family emergency, they would normally come. So I understand why they couldn't attend. Plus it makes hanging out with you much easier." Josh smiles as he helps Cameron out of his shirt.

Cameron wags his tail nervously as they head upstairs to one of the master bathrooms. Josh chuckles with delight as he bends over to turn the nobs on so the water pours out of the shower head. The sight made Cameron slightly aroused but still nervous about how far to take it from here. Once the shower was warmed up, Josh approaches Cameron and softly tugs at his pants.

"Can I take these off?" Josh says shyly.

"Go ahead." Cameron nods as his pants drops to his ankles.

They both strip naked and slowly climb into the large shower, closing the glass door. Cameron leans in and embraces him from behind, letting the water wash over them both. Josh stays in place as Cameron grabs a bar of soap and washes it into his fur coat. The otter's long tail hugs around his lower waist, a few soft moans escapes from his lips as Cameron continue to rub along his body.

Cameron leans in to kiss along Josh's neck, lightly grinding against his backside. He press Josh against the cold shower wall as Cameron continue grinding into him, his paws reaches around to rub the otter's chest. Despite the increasing arousal they both experience, Cameron can't help but only focus on pleasing the otter. The more physically closer they became, the more Cameron connected emotionally to him. The steam rises causing the glass to fog up as Josh loudly sighs and moans with pleasure. With their bodies locked in a warm brace, their hands continue exploring each other.

Josh then grabs the bar of soap as he turns around to face the Doberman. His smaller hands rub along the crevasses of Cameron's body. Occasionally Josh would focus on certain area's more than others before Cameron could wash the rest of the soap up. Once both of them finish, Cameron grabs a large nearby towel and wraps it around the two.

After they are tried off, Josh lightly grabs onto Cameron's wrist as he leads him back in the bedroom. Josh flops onto the bed as Cameron stands on the doorway, getting a great view of his sleek otter.

"Enjoying the view over there big guy?" Josh chuckles as his tail flops to the side.

"And then some." Cameron ears flatten as his face becomes warm.

Cameron walks forward and climbs onto the bed, his hands lightly pet the otter's sleek lower back. The Doberman climbs on to the bed as his hand keeps tailing along his lower back and tail. The sight of the submissive otter makes Cameron fully aroused, he lightly smacks his rear.

"Is this your first time playing back there?" Cameron asks as he goes to the bathroom to retrieve his pants.

"Yeah, never done it with a guy before. Will it hurt?" Josh says in a slight worried tone.

"A little bit, but the pain won't last long I promise." Cameron grabs a condom from his jeans and slips it on his erection.

Josh looks away and holds onto a large pillow, his tail sways nervously. The Doberman looks down in awe, admiring the sight for a while as his face becomes flustered with embarrassment. He gently lays on top of the otter, pressing himself against the otter's sleek backside. Cameron readies himself as he slowly slides himself inside Josh, hesitating half way as the otter lightly groans in pain. Cameron's heart races fast, worried about hurting his partner as he stays completely still.

An idea forms in Cameron's mind as he leans down to kiss along Josh's neck. The large Doberman's arm clings around his partner and lightly rubs the otter's chest. Josh lightly squirms underneath Cameron as a soft relaxing sigh escapes his small lips. Once Josh relaxed himself enough, Cameron slides the rest of himself inside the otter.

"Ah there we go. How are you holding up down there?" Cameron says, deeply panting.

"Doing okay, you can speed up if you want." Josh muffled through the pillow.

Cameron nods as he lightly rocks his hips, exploring the otter's warm insides. The intense sensation they both share cause them to moan as Cameron gradually picks up the pace. The bed beneath them squeaks loudly as Cameron holds onto Josh, breathing heavily as sweat pours from his panting tongue. He makes sure to check on the otter before thrusting any faster as the bed shakes in place. Cameron's breath became heavier as he struggles to keep up the pace to pleasure both parties.

Before long, Josh lightly arches his backside for Cameron to thrust inside easier. Josh would lightly press back against the Doberman, meeting him half way as their bodies press closer together. The intense experience makes Cameron light headed as he's close to his initial release. A cold shiver travels throughout Cameron's body as he slides all of himself inside Josh, staying in place a he loudly groans.

The slightest of movement makes Cameron sigh with delight as he stays inside Josh. Cameron looks down to see the otter smile, the sleek tail curls around his stomach as they are drawn physically close together. Cameron's red eyes stares into Josh's as he slowly slides himself out. Josh lightly yelps as he pulls out, lying beside the otter.

"Are you alright Josh?" Cameron softly nuzzles the otter's forehead.

"Oh yeah, it was intense but fun. I'm a little sore though." Josh chuckles as the Doberman takes the used condom off.

"Yeah I'm just about done. You want some help though for yours?" Cameron chuckles, pointing out the otter's arousal.

"I appreciate that. You won't mind?" Josh softly chuckles with embarrassment.

"Trust me this will be no trouble." Cameron smiles and sets the otter down on his back.

The Doberman softly nuzzles and kisses along Josh's neck, slowly traveling downward as he reaches the otter's chest. After toying with the otter's sensitive nipples, Cameron reaches down to his crotch. The natural scent of Josh makes Cameron lean in to glide his tongue along the otter's arousal. The unusual taste didn't deter Cameron from pleasing Josh, the sight and sounds of the otter's enjoyment only encourage him. He slides Josh's arousal inside his muzzle, lightly bobbing his head carefully avoiding the sharp canine teeth.

Josh looks down at his lover, his warm hand gently rest on Cameron's head. At first, Josh resists the urge to thrust up into Cameron's muzzle, trying to stay in place. But the overwhelming pleasure makes it difficult to resist as he holds Cameron's head down. The otter's back arches at an angle as he releases inside Cameron's muzzle, his toes tightly curl as he sharply inhales. After the intense orgasm, Josh's vision becomes slightly blurry as he stares up at the ceiling, relaxing in his bed.

Cameron keeps his muzzle in place to swallow up the rest of the load, sliding his mouth off once the otter finishes. While the repugnant taste stayed on his tongue. Cameron still felt a sense of accomplishment after pleasing Josh in such an intimate matter. Josh partially hides his face in the blanket as Cameron laid beside him.

"I hope didn't hurt you too badly, was I okay?" Cameron softly pets Josh's chest.

"You didn't, it was great." Josh says, looking up at the ceiling.

"What are you thinking about?" Cameron snuggled up to Josh.

"Just about my future. I do enjoy having you with me, but I'm just a bit worried. I don't want my swimming to inconvenience you. I will be traveling a lot and I won't be able to see you as much as I want too." Josh says in a disappointing tone.

Cameron pauses for a moment to process the information, choosing his words carefully. "And that's fine to have those concerns. Those thoughts have cross my mind as well. My work might conflict your swimming as well."

Josh looks more disappointed by his answer as Cameron continues, "But it doesn't mean this can't work. Let's just take a few things at a time and see how it goes from there."

Josh stares into Cameron's eyes, "Okay, can we stay in bed for a while?"

Cameron leans down to lightly kiss his lips, "Of course, I love you Josh."
