Ma'jyrr

The Smiling Beheader

"A sword, no matter how sharp, is just a sword. It's the wielder that makes it a weapon."

-Ma'jyrr

My sister is an...interesting character to be sure. Nicknamed, the "Smiling Beheader", for reasons that will later be discussed, she is a fierce warrior, a master bow-woman and a capable assassin.

Ma'jyrr was born 46 years ago (By the Eight, we're getting old), in the small town of Moonshadow. There we grew up eight years, before an attack by Thalmor at the end of the Great War slaughtered our town, killed our mother, and took us captive. Ma'jyrr and I were tortured, before being rescued by the Krin.

Ma'jyrr currently stands at the top of the Renrijra Krin branch in Skyrim, having taken over the position from her mentor, S'mrishcha-do (22). The Renrijra Krin, also known as the "Smiling Scum", "The Laughing Landless", or the "Mercenary's Grin", are an elite anti-Thalmor organization, that used to oppose the empire. As head of Skyrim's branch, she is one of the most important and influential figures there, likely right below her mentor, who has recently earned a promotion to the overall commander, following the death of the previous, Do'falina.

Ma'jyrr breaks the normal mode of the Renrijra Krin. She is a very grim character, smiling when in combat, but not when out. Our traumatic experiences with the Thalmor when we were kids changed her. But, since her grin is fierce in combat, and she has a tendency to behead people, she has earned her nickname.

Ma'jyrr is the most capable swordsman in Skyrim and, as a likelihood, most of Tamriel. Her skill with a blade is unmatched, and her stealth skills sublime, bested by only me (6), Do'razzi (13) and Dar'mhirr (15). Since Ma'jyrr has had rigid training under the Krin, unlike her older brother, who left earlier, she has developed a few talents her brother doesn't have. For example, her bowmanship is amazing, bested only by Jiira (18), a Khajiit huntress. Dar'mhirr is comparably equal skill to both of them, but only with his croosbow. Standing with a bow, Dar'mhirr can be seen to lack skills.

Ma'jyrr is a master of the one-handed weapon, but also worked to learn the art of two handed weapons, or, as one of Khazzi's (21) instructors said, "The fine art of hitting people until they die." Though lithe, Ma'jyrr is quite strong and is capable of wielding a broadsword, or even a war hammer. However, her Khajiiti tendencies disincline her from this. Ma'jyrr is also quite adept at hand-to-hand combat.

Unlike most of her light-armour contemporaries, Ma'jyrr does not seek to better her armour class. She sticks simply with the leather armour she stitched in the Renrijra Krin, a marked contrast to others. However, unlike some others (Dar'mhirr, for example), Ma'jyrr does not leave her specializations. She knows what she's good at and does not vary in her pursuits.

Ma'jyrr is a member of the Thieves Guild of Skyrim, but only so her ears can be close to the ground, metaphorically speaking of course. Her intelligence network, as the head of Skyrim's Renrijra Krin, is about as big as the networks in other nations, which is to say, extensive. Despite the standard Nord's opinion on the cat-people of Elsweyr, the Renrijra Krin has a rather large Nord component. Now, this could stem from the fact that the one thing that Nords and Khajiit agree on is their hatred for the Aldmeri Dominion, though I bet Dar'mhira (19) and Razum-dar (20) would disagree.

Ma'jyrr may be considered a contemporary of the two aforementioned Khajiit, as she works for the best of her people, against a hostile regime, and has risen to a high station. If the Aldmeri Dominion of yore were still present, Dar'mhira and Razum-dar would be on opposite sides of Ma'jyrr. However, my guess lies that Ma'jyrr would not even be a member of the Renrijra Krin if the Dominion were like that under Ayrenn.

Ma'jyrr has brown fur and black hair, with blue eyes. Her braids are filled with rings, which she puts in after every successful campaign. She has a story behind every one, though don't ask her to tell you them. She can't.

An opinion circulates that Ma'jyrr may be mad. As one who has worked with madmen and fought against others (the Thalmor spy Ancano comes to mind), my sister exhibits none of the traits. Dedicated? Yes. Terrifying in battle? Yes. A menace to the Dominion? Absolutely. Mad? No. In her single-minded ambitions, she could sit alongside Dar'mhirr, though she has none of his emotion-suppressing style. In fact, she uses her emotions to great effect, striving to become better and better and directing her anger at her foes.

As family, Ma'jyrr is a very caring and compassionate person. Never accost her on the subject as she'll deny it and, maybe, stab you to prove her point. I jest, but in all seriousness, Ma'jyrr is caring. When I was in bed for a month with Lung Rot, she went all the way to Black Marsh to retrieve a potion that could heal me. We were in Elsweyr at the time, serving under the Renrijra Krin, and nobody else would do it. Though the men of the Krin said she would likely be killed, she went anyways. And behold, she survived and got the potion. So, I would not be here today were it not for my sister.

Only Ma'jyrr and Dro'amoreth accompanied me on my final fight with Alduin. As the Dragonborn, we managed to slay Alduin and delay the end of the world for ages unknown. However, my heart breaks to think that we are the last Dragonborn. That none after us may share in this amazing gift.

In conclusion, Ma'jyrr is an opponent that should be feared by any who dare to cross her path. Should you cross blades, you will have little time to fear. Your life will be over before you know it.
