Alcatraz~Character Bios
Bios (I published this later because I never thought to make one of these pages in the first place.) Nonetheless most of this information is on my characters page. But that got tedious to update so :P
The "comments" are added in by whoever manages the GRA database in the lore. Marshall isn't that big of a prick haha
Also a lot of the stuff in the database is stuff that shouldn't be known to GRA. Such as some of the Lynx/Gynezis parts.
You can expect updates whenever I make a new person or introduce them in a chapter.
For those of you clicking on this to start reading Alcatraz, that's cool but I think it's best used as a guide of sorts while reading.
No lore is explained here except the characters so if you see anything unexplained, then don't worry, it's probably explained somewhere in the actual story
Also as of the first upload I have all of Global 201, Lynx, and Lio covered in here, so tomorrow I'll have Riley and maybe Opera up.

Tai
Species: Cat (Domestic White)
Age: 19 (assumed)
Gender: Male
Appearance: White fur, yellow-orange eyes. Tall, but lanky. Though he received many scars in Gibraltar, he heals unnaturally quick and they scarcely show through his fur.
Personality: Shy, harrowed, green. A foreigner no matter where he goes, truly.
Ethnicity: Moroccan (he doesn't look like it, there's no way to find out for sure)
Birthplace: Gibraltar, New Morocco
Bio: With little to no recollection of his early childhood, or anything before his teen years due to a suspected virus that infects his home country, the slums of Gibraltar were not kind to anyone, especially Tai. Growing up homeless until his recruitment by the GRA, Tai quickly found it wasn't his skill but another disease that bought his way in. Terminal, he spends most of his time going through the motions of the day, knowing no other life.

Reyna Trojan
Species: Jackal
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Appearance: Jet black fur, hair long and braided behind her head, often tied back in a ponytail. Green eyes, unforgiving and cruel.
Personality: Cold, unfeeling. Takes no favorites in her teammates, or anyone. They must prove themselves in battle.
Ethnicity: Egyption
Birthplace: Cairo, Egypt
Bio: Born into the Trojan family, the wealthiest in the world, Reyna enjoyed a life in the peaceful country of Egypt until her parents were gunned down publicly by Jinn at eight years old. Given to her uncle Ramses, head of the Trojan Corporation, Reyna and her younger brother Jared were trained in the family business: science, military genius, and cutthroat GRA politics. Showing more interest for combat than the other three, Ramses gave in eventually and sent Reyna (after formal training) to the Trojan military under the GRA. Quickly singled out by the higher ups, Reyna was transferred to GSS Global 201.

Roland "Riddick" White
Species: Spotted Hyena
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tan fur, dark brown hair between ears, spiked up. Dark brown spots on face and underside of muzzle. Bright blue eyes. No important scars.
Personality: Sarcastic, cynical, hateful. Can't sit still and be nice.
Ethnicity: Aboriginal
Birthplace: Perth, Australian-New Zealand Union
Bio: The A-NZ Union becoming a deadly place after Jinn launched their attacks from East Asia, especially on the East coast, the West was a land of refugees, mercenaries, ANZU soldiers, and all the violence that came with it. No place to be born and raised. Riddick's early life was riddled with naval battles just out the window and gang skirmishes on the streets outside. It's suspected he was in a gang at some point as well. Life took a turn after brother was killed in gang violence. Drafted to ANZU military, apparently there's something off about how he got into GSS. They won't tell me what

Jacques "Jake" Martin
Species: Gray Wolf
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Appearance: Neutral gray fur that breaks into white just above eyes. Scars from time in regular military service, despite how short it was. Dark blue eyes.
Personality: Protective, dedicated, commandeering. Patronizing, the leader type.
Ethnicity: French-American
Birthplace: New Paris, French Rhine
Bio: His mother, Laura Martin, was ex-GRA, and American in origin. Jacques was raised in France (Rhine) however, was fluent in English, Euro Common (isn't too different anyways), and French. His father was also ex-GRA but I couldn't find anything on him. Apparently he was abusive and daddy issues made Jacques move to America (NSA). Here he adopted the "Jake" moniker to be more American, and at some point wanted to go into the military, like a military brat would. Served from 18 a good 5 years until he was promoted to GSS.

Rochelle

Species: Border Collie
Age: 18-19.
Gender: Female
Appearance: Gray fur around the exterior head, white in the inner, as border collies go. One eye is dark brown, the other blue.
Personality: Carefree, active, jumpy, trigger happy. Annoying.
Ethnicity: Welsh
Birthplace: Swansea, Wales, New Kingdom
Bio: Wales, being the poorest and most destitute region in the shaken and in recovery New Kingdom, is riddled with gangs and brutes and all sorts of bad people. Rochelle was born into a gang (her father died before her mother gave birth, mother died in childbirth.) As such she was raised by her older sister, who we cannot find a name for. It's likely as soon as she could pick up a gun she was trained in gunplay, and her scores in the simulations and range alike show this. Joined GRA because she didn't have the stomach for crime, naturally gravitated into GSS, you get the drill.

Alvin Marcel King
Species: Golden Retriever
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, golden fur, dark brown eyes. Scar runs along forearm. Ears flopped out to the side. Also has scar across muzzle just above nose.
Personality: Athletic, charismatic, liberal. And he can shoot a gun.
Ethnicity: American
Birthplace: San Antonio, Texas, SSA
Bio: His father being ex-GRA as well as an advocate for keeping the enlistment age at 23, it's very interesting Alvin was able to convince his parents to let him enlist at the new 18 age. Alvin was a sport shooter from the time he was 10, winning competitions across Texas and the SSA, as well as building a small town fame. Going into the GRA as soon as he was allowed, saw more action than anyone else on his team, stationed in the Gobi desert in China. Injuries forced him to draw back and become a sniper, and his teenage years' sport shooting was put to use, landing him in GSS.

Kyle Frost
Species: Timber Wolf
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Dark grey fur, and a lighter underbelly. Eyes are pale blue, almost white. Muscular. Scar running from the base of left ear to under chin. Missing left ring finger.
Personality: Emotional brick wall. A few holes but mostly just that.
Ethnicity: Russian
Birthplace: St. Petersburg, Russia
Bio: Kyle was six when a stray mortar shot from a Jinn soldier took out his family's home and killed everyone but him. Jinn found him and took him under their wing, but a Wolf Pack raid two years later got the wolf out of there, and they trained him in their arts. Seeing his family killed in front of him killed most of Kyle's emotion and he tends to be dispassionate about pretty much everything. It takes a lot to get Kyle impassioned. His loss of family makes him value his team more, and he will fight to his last dying breath to defend them. Allegiance: GRA/Global Squadron 201

Lynx
Species: Lynx (assumed)
Age: ??? 18-25, possibly
Gender: Female
Appearance: Wears full body armor including sleeves for tail and gloves, black and burgundy. Hooded and kabuki mask is white with a grinning cat. Underneath is unknown
Personality: From what few encounters survived with her, she appears to be very playful even in combat. Will not kill if she is amused enough
Ethnicity: Japanese (assumed)
Birthplace: Okinawa region of Japan, that's all we have
Bio: Likely trained by Jinn from a very young age, maybe born into the cell, or at least on their land. From her supposed village of origin (Okinawa being war torn, the rural being the only hospitable place,) people speak of a child prodigy that was better than anyone at anything, farming, hunting, art, acrobatics, weaponry, marksmanship, and was extremely beautiful, but left one day. Captured Jinn soldiers will say nothing about her and it's likely they don't know she exists. May be a splinter cell or part of a rising subfaction in Jinn.

Lio de la Rocha
Species: Jaguar
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, lean. Face is spotted above muzzle and then breaks into lighter tan. Scars on arms. Green eyes.
Personality: Brash, youthful, stubborn. Pyrrhic victory may not be worth it.
Ethnicity: Brazilian
Birthplace: Manaus, Brazil (assumed)
Bio: There is no intel on his parents' whereabouts, only that he was adopted from an orphanage in Manaus by a wealthy canine family in Rio de Janeiro. Growing up with bigger and taller siblings, Lio threw away the life of relative order he'd received in the orphanage and instead gained one of challenge and competition. He became a martial arts enthusiast and from a young age won several regionals and competed in the finals of a nationwide MMA tournament. His siblings all joining GRA as they got older, Lio followed suit, but none would anticipate his GSS acceptance; and then into Brasilia Esquadrao.

Species: Gray Wolf (Northern Rocky)
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Appearance: Dark gray fur, long, with a peppered color underneath his chin and down. Heavily scarred, all over his body. Scar tissue engulfs patch on back (incendiary shotgun wound) Eyes are sea green, unmistakable.
Personality: [UNAUTHORIZED EDIT]: I'd love it if someone new would manage the database. Takes a bit more than hurling insults
Ethnicity: African-American
Birthplace: Cape Town, South Africa
Bio: Born during Jinn's campaign in the Southern African regions, Marshall was made a child soldier by the bastards from the time he was 8. His parents were killed in front of him, publicly executed. His hate for Jinn drove his success in battle, and as the GRA were pushed out of South Africa, Marshall joined a subfaction that pushed Jinn out and then into the GRA controlled northern region. Marshall's homeland was permanently scarred, and so was he, so at twelve he was adopted by an American family in South Carolina. Raised there, he could never escape the war in his head and joined with the GRA against his parents' wishes. Was in the original GSS squadron, 17 years ago. Later advocated for the removal of the GSS branch and raising of the age bar once more with his former squadmate James Harper. This failed and in an ironic twist James Harper ran and was elected president of the new reformed GSS branch of GRA, and Marshall was made leader of a team all under 23, save one member. Appearance: Short, slight. Blue feathers until break into white under eyes. Black beak. Brown eyes. Large scar on back from near fatal wound

Ethnicity: Native Canadian
Birthplace: Ottawa, Canada
Bio: Raised by her grandfather as her parents neglected her, Riley lived in the peaceful forests away from GRA's control. Her grandfather instilling a love for nature at a young age, the little contact with computers spawned a rabid fascination in Riley and she explored the area more. Riley also learned to hunt with guns, a probable catalyst for her recruitment into the GRA Canadian branch. With much experience she was easily candidate for the GSS, and joined. At one point being considered for team leader, Riley took a near fatal sniper shot to the spine and was deemed unworthy for field combat. Though she is relatively unaffected, she works in the Overwatch division as the support specialist for Global Squadron 201.

James Harper
Species: Shiba Inu
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, light orange fur, muzzle is white. Two white spots above brown eyes. Glasses. Somewhat pudgy

Ethnicity: British-American
Birthplace: Valencia, Venezuela
Bio: His parents being from the UK respectively, they were Christian missionaries and traveled mainly in South America, what was then Jinn territory. James was born on mission in Venezuela, and stayed there with his parents until he was eight years old, when the GRA began to fight Jinn in the region. Traveling then to the Western States of America, James' parents continued their job and he was caught up in currents events overseas and politics with news now readily available. Enlisting when he turned 23 (then the lowest possible enlistment age) he was surprisingly transferred to the first GSS squadron, along with Caine and Marshall. After the fall and martyrdom was successful, James protested the age limit being lowered officially to 18 outside of GSS, as well as the dissolvement of the branch. However the age limit was lowered, and James Harper ran as president of the GSS successfully. Head of something he doesn't want in the first.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Light green scales, dark blue around eyes. Spines on head are also dark blue. Light eyes.
Personality: Genius, yet sociopathic
Ethnicity: Spanish
Birthplace: Cordoba, Spain
Bio: Born in Cordoba to a single mother, Opera grew up in poverty, in a Jinn controlled region. The GRA neglected her region which led to constant skirmishes on the streets (her father died before she was born, caught up in one of these skirmishes) between Jinn and the unsupported GRA rebels. When Opera turned 18 she joined the rebels and this was the same year Jinn was driven out of Cordoba, the latter year all of Spain. Going to America to join the Global branch of the GRA military (there was none for Spain or Portugal), Opera served for ten years and then began a career in politics. Eventually she rose to power as the head of the GRA.
