#2 of Climbing the Food Chain

A map of the CtFC's island layout

The island which Climbing the Food Chain takes place uses terraforming technology in order to create an artificial landscape where multiple different environments can exist in the same geographical location. This map and key will provide a general run down of how the island is set up, and what players can expect when traveling around.

0 - Open Seas , extends several dozen miles in all directions

1 - Beach Perimeter, surrounds the shores of the main island

2 - Jungle Biome, contains dense foliage and many intersecting waterways. Acts as a central hub for accessing the other biomes.

3 - Arctic Biome, contains high mountains and heavy snowfall. Low temperature and strong winds make it difficult to survive without insolated protection. Waterways are often congested by ice flows, making swimming dangerous. It contains some valuable crafting supplies like stone and wood, but these are difficult to forage in the harsh weather.

4 - Forest Biome, Contains lots of trees and water. Considered one of the more peaceful biomes for those looking to avoid the chaos. It contains basic crafting supplies including wood and stone

5 - Barrens Biome, contains a large number of environmental death traps. Only the most hard core players choose to stay here. It is home to some of the most valuable crafting supplies including metal and stone, which serves as a tempting bait for the more power hungry players.

6 - Desert Biome, contains unstable sand dunes and clean water is a precious rarity. Players must conserve their supplies in order to survive for long periods. It contains low quality crafting supplies that are only useful in emergencies.

7 - Plains Biome, contains an open landscape and acceptable levels of water. Players often use the hills to conduct ambushes on their enemies. It contains only rudimentary crafting supplies and is not a popular area for setting up a base.

8 - Swamp Biome, contains lots of bacteria infested water and toxic foliage. It contains a large number of medicinal and poisonous crafting supplies, making it a valuable resource for players with experience in such concoctions.
