welp, ive been a member here for less than hour and im already uploading something, lemme know what you think, and wait for part two

The story takes place in the Snyder City Labs, where Kay Ashmore, a 23 year old, grey tabby feline, is experimenting with the latest development of portals.

5:09 pm, Experimental Facilities.

7 of the top scientists in the lab, including Kay were sitting behind layered glass, nearly each of the staff members were holding clipboards with various numbers and words, many of which were unintelligible by a normal civilian. Kay stepped forward in front of a large control panel, knobs, buttons, and displays scattered over the panel. She then spoke up.

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, without any further delay, i give you my first experiment in portal technology."

She then flicks a switch and a soft humming can be heard from behind the glass, a large blue sphere slowly coming into view under a massive piece of machinery, Kay's shaking hand then moves towards a knob on the center of the console, 'Frequency Intensity' labeled over it. she slowly turns the knob and the sphere grows larger, and more less of a sphere, more of a flat disc,

as Kay looks beyond the glass, her face lights up with a feeling of success, a smile growing on her face, but quickly fading away as the disc starts to pulsate. She turns the knob, and the disc continues to pulsate. after a few more seconds of light panic, the portal disappears with a flash of light. the other scientists start to write down notes on their clipboards, while Kay frantically tried to reactivate her machine. After a few minutes of no luck, the scientists leave the room, letting Kay alone and still trying to fix the device.

An Hour passes, Kay is in the large, white room where the machine was settled down. she was opening panels and flipping switches, while a staff member controlled the device from the control room.

"Anything yet Kaz!?" Kay yells at her co-worker.

Kaz flicks the switch and turns the knob, nothing. He looked down and shook his head lazily. she had been going insane ever since her first breakthrough on this entire project. sure he liked the girl, hell, some might even say he had feelings for the grey feline known as Kay. he had always admired her work, yet now, it was rather exhausting, staying at the labs until midnight to help her with her work on some nights, waking up stupidly early on other days. he kinda wished that the whole thing would just break down, just like it had earlier today.

Kay let out a sigh, then a loud growl, she picked up a wrench from off the floor and threw it across the room in a fit of rage. the metallic clanking noise echoing in the large room. she looked up at the machine and grabbed another tool, hitting it hard against an open panel. sparks flew out of the open dent, and a loud whirring filled the room. Kay covered her ears and yelled up at Kaz

"Kaz! Shut It Down! Kazzy!!!" She cried out

The machine started to make clanking sounds, the large blue sphere reappearing above Kay's head. she looked up at it while still covering her ears, her auburn hair waving towards the sphere. she ran towards the exit and started tugging on the door, yet it was locked from the outside, since the machine was activated. she watched as the sphere grew larger, the gravity of it growing, making it harder for Kay to walk away from it. she tried yelling at Kaz, wondering how he didn't see what was happening. she panicked and started to run in the direction of the control room. she caught a glimpse of Kazzy asleep on the panel. the window was soundproof, that's how he isnt aware of the disaster awoken before Kay. she then loses her footing and trips, the portal pulled her closer. she let out a scream as she tried to claw her way away from the swirling purple sphere, yet nothing would stop it. she was soon pulled into the portal, everything around her was black, before quickly flashing white, and after seeing a flimpse of what seemed to be a tree, she blacked out and fell unconcious.
