Hey again! ^_^ I was really excited to write this chapter! I am proud to introduce Naraku! He is the one who means allot to me. He is the one who inspired me to write this story! He is the one who inspired me to create Rio. All my ideas emerged and surfaced when I saw his old Fursona. It is him you have to be thankful to, for without him this story would not exist. Naraku if you are reading this right now... then I just want to say Thank you so much for everything! I hope you as well as the rest of the Dragon Storm Fans enjoy this next installment!! XD

" Amy..." May said while still crying.
"................................." Rio remained silent and rubbed the tears from his eyes.
" Rio... I can tell just from looking at you that you know how deep of a scar this will leave." May said.
"Yeah." Rio said and ripped part of his arm sleeve off and placed it over Cross Wing's face.
"Why did you stop crying? Aren't you sad?" May asked.
"I have no more tears to shed." Rio said firmly.
"What?" May asked.
"At one time I believed that love could blossom even on the battlefield.... But now.... I see that it only makes life harder. However... maybe there is still a chance..." Rio said.
"Oh?" May said.
"I'm going to the underground base. We are running out of time. We might not meet again." Rio said.
".............. Only if you can't make it in time will this place be blown to hell, but you are a hero and my friend... also... you have the power of speed on your side." May said.
"Thanks." Rio said.
"I want to keep helping." May said.
"Why? You can leave at anytime. Get away from here while you still can!" Rio said.
"What was Cross Wing fighting for? What am I fighting for? Rio? What are you fighting for!?" May asked in panic.
"I fight to protect my friends! That's my dream! I don't know what would motivate me to advance in life without it!" Rio said firmly.
" Well then, I will fight to protect my friends too!" May said.
Rio smiled; he didn't know that he would influence May to build her own dream just like his own. Rio knew that everyone had their own dream to pursue, and sometimes he didn't understand some of them, but he knew what his was, and saw to it that he follow that dream forever. Rio was looking at May when all of a sudden she was shot with a dart.
"Ouch!" May said and plucked it out of her neck.
"A tranquilizer!" Rio shouted.
May passed out just then and before Rio could react to the slowly falling May, her father General Andal swooped her up from the air.
"MAY!!!!!" Rio yelled.
It was no use. General Andal had sped off into the air carrying the passed out May. Looking back once to see a tear fall from his eye and then a slight nod.
"Huh? A tear?" Rio questioned.
"Great! Another shattered promise..." Rio thought to himself.
"Umm... Rio! We have bigger problems!" Yun said as his device went off more then ever and even displayed a zero percent sign for victory.
"Huh? What the hell!?" Rio said in shock and then dropped to his knees.
Now both Yun and Rio were on the ground and felt as though they were being pressed into the ground. Rio was scared and he didn't know what was going on. This was the seemingly biggest amount of Quintessence he had ever felt before. However... when Rio looked up, to his surprise it was not Rock Lizard or anyone from BLACKFANG for that matter. The only thing this hooded cloaked figure revealed was it's red tail with black stripes. Rio knew it was a dragon, but other then that Rio couldn't make out who it was that had such an extremely powerful amount of Quintessence. So much that it took everything Rio and Yun had just to stand up and face the cloaked figure as it just walked toward them slowly.
"What is this massive amount of Life energy!?" Yun asked in panic.
"Who are you?!" Rio asked.

CHAPTER 27: Successor of the Forbidden Clan! Naraku vs. Rio!

"Who are you?" Rio asked and watched as the hooded figure approached him slowly.
This powerful force was massive and forced Rio and Yun to their knees. Despite how much they both struggled to get up they could not muster the strength to overpower it. The hooded figure finally walked up to Yun as he was on the ground and quickly grabbed him and held him up. Suddenly, Rio noticed that part of his arm was the same as his tail. It was red and had black stripes. Rio thought he was looking at himself for a brief second until he snapped out of it.
"Hey! Arg... let go..." Yun said gasping for air.
The hooded figure then quickly threw Yun. Rio figured that Yun would not travel far, however, to Rio's surprise, Yun was sent high into the air and screaming the whole time until Yun's voice just faded away. Rio was now in shock; he could not believe how powerful this dragon was. Rio began to panic and escape, however useless it may have seemed, he still tried. After Rio noticed he was getting nowhere and fast he faced the hooded figure that was glaring at him back.
"What do you want?" Rio asked.
"Sie brauchen nicht zu wissen." The hooded figure said.
" What? I can't understand you?" Rio said.
Suddenly, the massive pressure vanished. Rio could breath normally again; he didn't have to gasp for air anymore. He no longer felt pressed into the ground. He quickly stood up and faced the hooded figure.
"Who are you? I shall not ask you a third time!" Rio said.
"Naraku...." The hooded figure said calmly.
"Naraku? That sounds.... Cool actually. Anyway, what did you do to Yun?" Rio asked.
"I threw him." Naraku said calmly.
"What the? I can understand you?! Wait a second! I KNOW YOU THREW HIM YOU SMART ASS!" Rio yelled and held up his handgun and took aim.
"Sie sind so dumm Rio." Naraku said calmly.
"Huh? You know my name? I don't recall giving it to you?" Rio said.
"I've come to see the storm to this world." Naraku said.
"Huh?" Rio said dumbfounded.
"This storm has become connected." Naraku said.
"Wh-what are you talking about? Even when you are not speaking German, I still can't understand you." Rio said.
"Like all the other storms... this one was tied to the darkness. Soon to be completely eclipsed." Naraku said calmly.
"Are you with BLACKFANG?" Rio asked.
"................" Naraku remained silent.
"Well, whoever you are.... Stop freaking me out like this! By the way, where did you just come from? Aren't we on an island? How did you get here?" Rio demanded and asked.
" You do not yet know what lies beyond the storm, Rio." Naraku said calmly, now circling Rio.
"What? What is beyond the storm Naraku?" Rio asked in panic.
"There is so very much to learn... you understand so little." Naraku said calmly, still observing Rio.
"Oh really? Would you like to see for yourself just how much I do know?" Rio asked and took aim with his handgun once more.
"Eine sinnlose Anstrengung!" Naraku said calmly again.
"Okay.... Can you stop doing that?" Rio asked.
"Einer, der weiB nichts kann nichts verstehen." Naraku said calmly, now stopping in front of Rio.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE A FOOL OUT OF ME?!" Rio yelled and exhaled a mid-sized fireball at Naraku.
Suddenly, Naraku punched the crimson fireball and it was sent back at Rio. Rio saw this coming and quickly avoided his own fireball by side-stepping. Rio's hair flowing in the gust of wind produced by the force of the fireball flying through the air. The crimson fireball crashed behind Rio and exploded on impact sending snow and gusts of wind everywhere. Unfazed by this, Rio stood there completely still watching Naraku to see if he would make the first move. Still pointing his S&W 9mm semiautomatic handgun, Rio pressed the trigger and shot a total of eight bullets. Out of nowhere Naraku reached behind him and pulled out an Aug A3 fully automatic assault rifle and opened fire, not only canceling out all eight of Rio's bullets, but sending sixteen more bullets his way. Completely shocked by this, Rio quickly inhaled another giant breath of air and exhaled a massive fireball which melted all sixteen bullets and the snow beneath it's giant mass forming a dirt pathway that lead right to Naraku as well as the giant fireball.
"Du bist ein Narr fur die Aufnahme im Kampf mit mir Rio..." Naraku said calmly while the massive fireball closed in on him and illuminated Naraku in a crimson color.
Just then Rio put his S&W handgun away in his gun holster on the right side of his waist and reached for his black bow that was next to his quiver on his back, then reached for a silver arrow in his quiver. Rio took aim and waited for Naraku's counterattack. Suddenly, Naraku formed a fist in his right hand and put his Aug A3 assault rifle away with his left hand at the same time, then finally punched the snowy ground with force equal to the Pseudo-chimera teenager and just as the giant fireball was about to hit Naraku, a wall of stone and earth jetted out of the ground and launched the massive fireball into the air although not very far. Naraku took this time to grab a snow-covered tree beside him and yank it out of the ground with brute force. Naraku then held the tree up into the air as if it was as light as a sword; holding it with only one hand and setting fire to it when the big fireball landed on top of it. Naraku then dashed through the stonewall at Rio with insane speeds with a fire engulfed tree still in hand.
"No you don't!" Rio said in shock.
Suddenly, Rio released his hold on the silver arrow and launched it with insane speeds at Naraku. Naraku simply pulled the fire tree in front of him to block it effortlessly and then strike at Rio from afar with his range. Just then, Rio found himself locked in an unfair fight. Rio jumped and dodged with his great speed, however the fire from the fire-engulfed tree was still grazing him every now and then. Rio finally saw the opening and leaped out of Naraku's barrage of sift swings and ran, keeping his distance from Naraku.
"Up until just now we were both able to hold our ground. However... now it looks like I am on the run. Let's see. I have always been extremely good at finding weak points. It looks like Naraku has a super strength G.O.N. and to top it off he has much more combat experience then me... I'm talking years. Additionally, my handgun won't work. I'd be a fool to waste what little ammo I have left seeing as how he can not only cancel out my bullets with his own, but shoot more then I can." Rio thought to himself while running.
"Bereiten Sie sich!" Naraku shouted.
Suddenly, Naraku stomped on the ground with his left foot and created a mid-sized creator. This caused some of the chimera's body parts to fly into the air in front of Naraku. When Rio saw this he remembered how the random body parts got there.
_____________________ (Flashback: An earlier event) _________________________
Suddenly, the giant chimera attacked Cross Wing again. Cross Wing couldn't figure out how Yun was doing this, but what she did know was that if she got hit even one time from this thing; that she would be destroyed for sure.
"Damn him! He's got me trapped! I can't use my sniper because he will just command the chimera to block it like before. I can't fly because he will just use his ice breath. I don't have any more creatures left after that damn wolf blew them all to hell. Also thanks to this snowy terrain, I am having trouble running around just trying to dodge, let alone fight back. I also got to figure out how he is controlling it." Cross Wing thought.
"I have turned your giant monster against you Cross Wing... how will you fight back? You see, I have stabbed him in four places. Both of his thighs and both of his shoulders. In this way I have punctured so deep into him that I have dislocated his joints and can freely move him around however I want, with no resistance back from him. I have steel cable lines tied to the handle of each sword that I can pull and turn in order to move him about freely. It leads back into my suit where there is a mini coil on the inside. So tell me Cross Wing how will you -" Yun started to say, but was interrupted by the chimera exploding sending Yun flying back and landing head first into the snow.
"ARGRGHH!!!!!!!!" Yun yelled.
"I always make sure to arm my play things with explosives." Cross Wing said while smiling.
"........rghh. but... I didn't see any on him..." Yun said while standing up.
"That's because they are planted on the inside. Remember that this chimera is only a creation, a Pseudo. It is by no means a real chimera!" Cross Wing said and held out a detonator.
Chimera guts and blood was splattered all over the snowy field. The once pure white ground now looked like a tie-die work of art. There was a little bit of every color you could image. Limbs could be seen now somewhat covered in snow. All the colors then started to blend together as the rain-washed them all into one another.
_______________ (Flash forward: Griffin Stronghold Courtyard) _________________
Just then, Naraku swung the fire-engulfed tree and hit all of the chimera's body parts sending them at Rio. He then spun around once in a complete 360-degree circle and threw the fire tree like a javelin before it completely caught on fire. Rio managed to jump up to avoid all of the chimera's body parts, however the fire tree was still headed his way. Naraku had anticipated what Rio would do and threw the tree upward. Now Rio was about to get hit with the fire tree. Rio then reached into his silver quiver and pulled out another arrow and shot it at the tree. This time, the arrow hit the fire tree it exploded, sending the bark in every direction. Rio quickly put his bow away and crossed his arms to form an "X" that covered his face from all the splinters and sharp pieces of bark. He could hear allot of it hitting against his black fingerless glove's metal plating. Just then, Rio looked up to see Naraku was already in the air about a three meters away from him and closing in fast. Rio readied himself for aerial combat.
"BRING IT ON!!!" Rio yelled.
When Naraku approached Rio, they both decided to use there feet to run respectively along each others feet higher and higher into the air until they were both so high that you could see the whole island. When they reached that point in height, they both stopped running upward and faced each other and without hesitation, they both engaged in aerial combat. They both began their respective high-speed barrages of attacks. Naraku landed quite a few punches while Rio couldn't even land a single hit. They then flipped up side down and proceeded with the barrage of attacks during there decent. Rio then used his super speed to reach into his quiver really quickly and place it on his bow before Naraku's next incoming attack. Rio used his fire breath to set the tip of the arrow on fire and then finally launched it at Naraku. However... Naraku not only caught the flaming arrow from the lower part of the slivery handle, but he also threw it back at Rio with ten times the force and speed. Rio then latched himself onto Naraku's leg and swung himself out of the flaming arrow's path. Rio managed to avoid the arrow only by mere seconds as it did graze his cheek and a small bead of crimson blood ran down his face.
"Damn it! That was my last arrow. Why is he so strong?" Rio thought.
Just then, Naraku grabbed Rio's long red tail and swung him around to make him dizzy and then punched him in the face and sent him downward, however Naraku was still holding on to Rio's tail and then pulled him up using his super strength G.O.N. and landed another hit on his face before letting go due to his own strength. This attack sent Rio crashing into the snowy ground with insane amounts of speed and velocity. Naraku then landed beside the injured Rio.
"Schwachling! Wenn Sie mehr Leistung wunschen, dann mussen Sie mir zeigen erste eigene!" Naraku shouted.
"AHH! Shut up already! I can't understand you, you bastard!" Rio shouted back and got on all fours.
Suddenly, Rio, while on all fours, began to growl and hiss at the unfazed Naraku. Rio then jetted in around Naraku and encircled him while spewing out fire from his mouth, thus creating a fire tornado that trapped Naraku in the middle of the eye of Rio's storm. Just then, Rio hoped out of the circle and dashed at the amazed Naraku. Rio spun in the air before he used his left foot in a backspin kick. Naraku blocked and grabbed the kick with ease and was about to attack Rio back when all of a sudden Rio, with all his insane speed and rage formed a fist with his right hand and punched at Naraku's face. However, Naraku also blocked and grabbed Rio's right hand with his free hand. This made Rio grin as he then lifted himself off of the ground by using his right foot to land a blow on top of Naraku's head. However, Naraku used both of his hands, still grabbing onto Rio's limbs, and lifted his arms up to catch the kick in between Naraku's crossed arms that now formed an "X". Naraku had cleverly blocked the kick so that the kick was now on resting on top of the "X". Rio then smiled, as he knew that he had won this close quarter combat mix up. Rio then proceeded to use his last and finale limb, his left fist, which he used to land a punch on Naraku's face.
"Is that all?" Naraku said in a sarcastic manner.
"What the hell?" Rio asked in shock.
Suddenly, Naraku hurled Rio high into the air and Rio performed a back flip and exited the eye of the flaming tornado. Once Rio landed on the snowy ground he skidded a little before he came to a complete stop. Once he had done so, Rio then snapped his fingers together and suddenly, the flaming tornado exploded massively. The heavy winds from the explosion rushed past Rio and made his hair and green vest flow in the wind rapidly. Jet-black smoke and muti-colored snow could be seen everywhere due to this new attack Rio just performed. However once it cleared, Naraku was gone. Rio refused to believe that he had actually killed him so easily. Rio looked around, but could not find Naraku for the life of him. Until suddenly, in the distance, Naraku could be seen now with both of his sleeves rolled up and markings covering each arm. Rio was not worried about how Naraku just escaped his attack; instead Rio was concerned with what Naraku was now doing. Naraku was now walking toward Rio with the whole 14-story communications tower in his arms. As if to hold it like it were nothing. Naraku had yanked the whole thing out with ease like it was a cakewalk.
"Th-this dragon....Naraku....what is he? If that thing hits me..." Rio said in panic and shock, now taking a step back in fear.
Just then, Naraku dashes at Rio with the whole tower in hand and with one powerful swing downward Naraku crashed the whole tower into where Rio was standing and left a massive creator and tremor behind. Rio quickly dodged the tower by just a hair and ran to safety. However some random debri flew from the crash from the tower and smacked into Rio. By the time Rio staggered up from all the pain and exhaustion Naraku was already in front of him and had grabbed Rio by the neck.
"You have reached your limit, Rio." Naraku said in a calm, cool voice.
"I....arg....I....n-no! L-let go....ack!" Rio whimpered.
Naraku then formed a fist and performed a heavy haymaker to Rio and landed it right on Rio's face causing him to be sent flying at insane speeds while flipping around in the air and bouncing off the ground; as if to throw a rock and skip it. Rio was suffering at this point, as he was about out of Quintessence and was all out of tricks. However, Naraku then rushed past him and waited for Rio to land right in front of him before he kicked Rio high into the air and used all his might to jump up after him. When Naraku did just that, he left behind a massive creator in the snowy ground and rose higher and higher into the air. He was now right above Rio and still raising. Naraku smiled, as he knew this would finish this battle for good.
"Dies ist das Ende fur Sie!" Naraku shouted.
"n-no p-p-please..." Rio whispered.
But it was too late. Naraku landed an extremely powerful axe kick and sent Rio hurling toward the ground with so much force that it actually caused Rio to catch on fire and explode on impact. The explosion was so enormous that Naraku was burned by it as well, but not anything to worry about. As Naraku landed about three meters away from the explosion, it rose high and father and consumed everything in its path. Naraku was now looking at the explosion, which still proceeded to spread wildly, and lowered his hood to reveal his face.
_______________________ (Meanwhile) ______________________________
"Come on, I got to find it! It must be in here somewhere... huh?" Carl Kurotsuchi said.
He was on a computer trying to hack into Rock lizard's secret files when suddenly; he feels a burst of Quintessence fill the room.
"So powerful! What was that just now?" Carl Kurotsuchi asked.
___________________________ (Elsewhere) _____________________________
"Huh?" Wild Horn said.
"...................." Rock Lizard just looked up and remained silent. He really didn't care because he was now face to face with the Adult Chimera.
_______________________________ (Also) __________________________________
A whole 200 griffin soldiers dead, and by the hands and lance of Aisu.
"Hm? Such a powerful attack. Maybe I should go take a look." Aisu said with an evil grin on his face.
_____________________________ (Meanwhile) _______________________________
"Your late Necro!" Tiger wanghu said sternly.
"....................." Necro remained silent.
"Is this how you treat a former brotherhood member?" Tiger wanghu asked.
".......I told you to not mention that fact around me." Necro said.
Just as Tiger wanghu was about to reply, they both felt a surge of overwhelming power. They both remained silent and looked at each other.
_____________________________(Elsewhere)________________________________
"That's another one." Quicksilver said and knocked over a rook chess piece and gave an evil grin.
Just then Eubanks and Kilala looked at Quicksilver and he glared back. They had all just felt Naraku's overwhelming Quintessence.
"What was that?" Eubanks asked.
"So you are still alive... Naraku..." Quicksilver whispered.

"Huff....Hufff....huh.... what was that? Why can't... I feel Rio's Quintessence anymore? Am I too late?" Lazz asked himself and limbed away toward the huge explosion.
____________________________(Meanwhile)_________________________________
" I am Naraku, successor of the forbidden Crimson Craft clan! Just like you Rio..." Naraku said with pride.
"................" Rio was knocked unconscious with many charred spots all over him and he was bleeding heavy also.
Naraku picked Rio up off the ground and carried him into the next building.
