#5 of Short Stories

I almost failed this month posting a May story.

Technically I'm a little late posting and it's June, but I did write a rant on the word "Dude" on my blog: http://avintelfer.com/post/160640801650/dude That kind of counts/makes up for it, right?

This ended up being the start to a longer story. So I thought I'd release the first draft of Chapter One, and continue the story next month. This chapter is a bit exposition heavy, but hopefully setting up a night of fun that you'd be interested in reading about.

I hope you enjoy! Let me know if you liked it, and if you have any suggestions/desires for Truths or Dares the characters could challenge each other with in the next chapter!

Chapter One

Bo had a bounce in his step as he listened to the music that rang throughout the house. His soft brown and white tail poked out his jeans and swished side to side, bumping against the living room couch. He picked up the bag of chips and firmly pulled it until it opened, then poured the contents out into a large glass bowl on the hardwood coffee table.

It was then he noticed there was another rhythm overlapping his music, a loud thumping sound coming from the ceiling. The canine giggled to himself as the pace of rhythm increased. It was coming from Parker's room. He knew Zina, his roommate's girlfriend had arrived a few hours ago. Bo didn't mind Parker getting laid instead of helping set up for their party. Not only could he guilt-free make him do all the cleanup tomorrow, but he's also probably made worse noises when his boyfriend was over.

Parker and Bo had been living together for almost eight years now, since their sophomore year in college. Parker brought back women all the time to their room. Other roommates might have complained about how many late nights where they couldn't enter their room, but Bo was just as guilty of locking out Parker with his series of boyfriends. They quickly developed an understanding that turned into a lifelong friendship, staying roommates long after college.

Their house was modest two bedroom. Bo put a down payment on it a year after graduating, with Parker renting the second room since they moved in. The first floor was the garage and storage, and above that was one large common area divided into a kitchen on one end and a carpeted living room on the other. The bedrooms were upstairs, and while they had their rooms, they still had to share a bathroom.

Just as Bo finished setting up, he noticed the pounding upstairs had stopped. He figured Parker and Zina would come down soon. Tonight was double date night, Bo's boyfriend Alex would be here in about 20 minutes. He grabbed a beer, opened it, and start to relax on the couch.

Meanwhile upstairs, Zina put on the fresh pajamas she had brought in her overnight bag.

"You're wearing your PJs?" Parker asked as he slipped on a long sleeve shirt that covered his Dalmatian spots.

"I want to be comfy!" Zina said, her thin lioness tail rubbing against Parker's legs and the last bit of exposed white and black fur. "Besides, the boy's don't mind."

The pajamas were fairly revealing and were both Zina and Parker's favorite.

"Fair enough," He said, giving Zina another kiss before putting on his green gym shorts.

Zina pressed her face into Parker's neck and gave him a slight nip. "Come on!" she said, pulling Parker out of his room, into the hallway and down the stairs.

They saw the Spaniel chug the last bit of his beer. "You're one behind now!" Bo said with a laugh, showing them the now empty bottle.

"Time to catch up!" Parker responded, walking over to grab a bottle for himself and Zina.

"Why is Alex getting here so late?" Zina asked as she sat down next to Bo.

"He's on the closing shift tonight" Bo sighed. "We can't all have flex hours!"

Alex worked at Injustice Comics and Games, a local shop for all things nerd. They met at a weekly game tournament. Alex was paying his way through art school, a process that was taking a lot longer than he liked. He did not expect to still be in college at 26. Bo and Parker were only two years older at 28, but they both graduated five years ago.

"Have you ever thought-" Zina put her hand on Bo's shoulder "You don't have to answer if you don't want to," she paused for another moment "Have you thought of offering to help him with some of his bills?"

"I have, and asked. But he's not interested."

Alex liked being independent and self-supportive and did not want to rely on his software engineer boyfriend having to pick up any of his bills while he worked full time. It was a trait that Bo particularly admired in him.

Zina nodded and drank her beer. Both her and Parker had decent jobs and middle-class parents; they never had long periods of their life where they had to live month to month.

"Are we watching a movie tonight?" Parker asked changing the subject.

"What's on Netflix?" Zina reached for the remote.

"Well, let's wait for Alex at least... But I am not feeling like a movie myself." Bo said as he started his second beer.

"Fair enough" agreed Parker, they had been just watching movies during date nights recently. "A game then?"

"Perhaps" Bo agreed, adding "The first one has to be a drinking game though since we're starting so late!"

"Sounds fun," Zina said, closing her eyes and taking a long sip of her beer. It was from a local brewery, and she wondered how the canines could enjoy such a strong hoppy taste with their sensitive noses. She didn't like it that much, but it was drinkable. She learned a bit ago not to get into a fight over it with Parker. It was his favorite beer, and he always kept it in stock.

Parker sat down on the floor in front of his lioness, cross-legged on the carpeted floor. Zina gave something like a sigh as she reached out her arms to rest on his shoulders. The big blue sofa was nice, although old. It was soft and plush, and she was worried about spilling her beer as she put it tightly between her thighs.

Bo continued his drink next to them, just barely far enough away to not be touching Zina or Parker. The heat of their bodies warmed his side as they embraced each other, Parker lying back into her lap.

Within a few moments, Zina started to toy with Parker's ears.

"What about... a spin-the-bottle type game?" asked the lioness "Perhaps with slightly different rules?" She said with a bit of a giggle and another swig of her beer.

"Spin-the-bottle?" Bo asked a bit confused.

"As a drinking game," she continued. "Ya know, whoever it lands on has to drink instead of a kiss."

"Maybe" Parker leaned back and looked up into Zina's eyes. "Might take a while though."

"Ok" Zina pondered out loud "How about whoever the bottle lands on doesn't drink, and everybody else does instead?"

"That's more like it!" Bo said, and Parker let out a soft moan both in agreement with Bo and because of the wonderful pressure of Zina's paws on his ears.

All their ears perked up as they heard footsteps out the window. Bo was already getting out of his seat and rushing downstairs even before Alex rang the doorbell.

Bo's brushed his thick ears aside and straightened his shirt before opening the door. He smiled wide as he saw his deer's big goofy smile. Alex had his hands full, with a six pack in his right and a pizza in his left. His car keys were dangling from his antlers. "Little help?" he said, trying to pass Bo the beer. Bo took it and leaned in for a kiss immediately afterward. Alex was barely able to hold onto the pizza.

"Zina already here?" Alex asked as they walked in.

"Yeah, upstairs." Bo replied, then whispered, "Already got a good fuckin' from Parker too."

Alex smirked as he took off his shoes, throwing them on top of the pile by the door. "Bet you love that smell," he said.

Bo just rolled his eyes. It was a common joke between them. Whenever they heard Parker and Zina in the room next door fucking, Alex would tease Bo that he must probably smell the sex of the feline from under the door. He couldn't, Bo's canine nose was better than Alex's but wasn't magic. Besides, his sense of smell was only average for a canine anyway.

Sometimes though, when Zina and Parker would sneak downstairs late at night and fuck in the living room, there would be no questioning it. Both Alex and Bo could smell it the next morning. Despite the fact he wasn't interested in women at all, Zina's smell wasn't horribly unpleasant. But perhaps that was because he always smelled it along with Parker's musk?

It wasn't like he was getting a full whiff, but he could identify the smells. Part of him thought Alex kept asking about her smell because he thought Zina was hot, Alex being pansexual after all. Not that he would say that directly to Bo, nor did Bo ask him.

"You first cutebutt," Alex said pointing his nose towards the stairs.

Bo started the walk back up, and when his butt was nose level towards Alex, he leaned his head down and gave him a gentle ram with his antlers.

Zina and Parker laughed as they saw Bo's expression as the deer poked his boyfriend in the ass.

"Ugh" Bo sighed, mostly sarcastically. He liked how forward his deer was, so different from any of his ex-boyfriends. It felt nice to be looked at in that way, the way he sees Zina look at Parker.

Bo and Alex placed the beer and pizza in the kitchen, each grabbing a slice as Alex talked about how terrible the line was at the pizza place. Parker and Zina kept sitting on the couch, quietly touching each other's arms, legs and faces while they drank the rest of their beer.

Eventually, Alex remarked, "So what's the plan for tonight?"

"Dunno" Bo shrugged, "there was talk of a game."

"We were thinking of a spin-the-bottle drinking game." Chimed in Zina.

"What?" asked Alex.

"Whoever it doesn't land on drinks," Parker explained before Zina could pipe in.

Alex laughed. "I think we could do better than that. That sounds like a high school game."

"What's wrong with high school games?" asked Zina.

"Well..." Alex started, then after a pause "Alright, nothing I guess."

Parker turned to Zina and said, "I bet you made up all sorts of party games in high school."

"Not really, I was more into learning how to make computer games then," Zina responded. "Although I was great at Truth or Dare."

"Why is that?" Bo asked as he and Alex walked into the living room, his arm wrapped around Alex's waist.

Zina smirked and said, "Oh I was really good at coming up with good questions, and good dares."

"Me too!" Parker added.

Zina playfully slapped the back of his head. "Yeah, that's because you just made all the girls get naked or make out with you."

"Well, it worked!" Parker said.

"I never played Truth or Dare in high school..." Bo said with a frown.

"Why not?" Alex asked him as they sat down on the floor together on the other side of the coffee table.

Bo paused for a moment. Parker got up and moved to the empty spot on the couch next to Zina.

"Well" he started, "I wasn't out then, and I was too afraid somebody would ask."

"Aww" exclaimed both Alex and Zina almost simultaneously.

"It's ok! I got to play in college," Bo said, trying to perk everybody up.

"I'm the opposite. I haven't played in years!" Alex remarked. "But all my friends in high school knew, so I wasn't afraid of them finding out when we played."

"College is the best time to play it" Parker added. "No chance of adults catching you!"

"Ha! Well, I never played it like that!" Alex said, putting an arm on Bo's leg while he took another big bite of pizza. "I was way too shy."

"It's fun either way," Zina said with a smile.

"Hey, why don't we just play Truth or Date then?" Bo suggested.

"What, are we pretending we're in high school?" Alex joked again.

"I'm down" Zina piped in.

"Sure, why not?" asked Parker, a gleam in his eye. "But, if we do, don't say I didn't warn you about what I might dare!"

"Oh please," Zina said, not sure if Parker would follow through or was just talking smack. Reaching out her claw to poke him she added: "Wait to see what I dare you!"

"Alright then, who starts?" Asked Alex, putting down his pizza and looking around the living room.
