#1 of Story of the Khajiit

A little bit of miscellanious crap, I wrote this so I'd have a full guide to my characters for Snow Cat. But I'm posting it because...eh, why not? So, without further ado, the compendium!

This'll appear later in the story. And every chapter mentioned will appear. Eventually.

Introduction

This tome was writ to honour the Khajiit of Skyrim and history, individuals who are not regarded in times currently or have not always been viewed with favour. People of Skyrim tend to look down on Khajiit and, until three years ago, Khajiit were not allowed within city walls. However, with my slaying of the World Eater, Alduin, opinions changed. People started to campaign for rights and the Jarls of Solitude, Whiterun, Markarth and Riften, respectively, passed decrees permitting Khajiit into their holds.

While some took offense to this, many agreed with the decisions. So it was that five years after my emergence in Skyrim, almost to the day, High Queen Elisif of Solitude passed a law that Khajiit caravans were to be permitted into the cities. An outcry was raised and, in the cities the Khajiit visited, rashes of burglary were spotted. Later, with the help of the Thieves' Guild, I managed to discover that the perpetrators of these crimes were Nords and others, trying to frame the Khajiit to get them removed again.

It didn't work.

So, nowadays, my kind are permitted in cities. Oh, you are surprised that I'm a Khajiit? My name alone should have tipped you off. I have trained my speech, writing and ways of thought to such extent that I no longer have the third person way of speaking.

With the recent appearance of more and more heroes, I decided a compendium had to be made of the noted Khajiit and the relatives of mine who've immigrated to Skyrim.

Now, I don't know what the readership of this tome will be, but I should hope enough will come to pass. I hope people can get over any lingering ill-will towards my kind and read this book. As it is, most are willing nowadays, but Khajiit are still distrusted.

But my ramble has carried long enough. Time to move on.
