#4 of Losing Humanity

Another further glance into the world of Dead Earth. This is also a work in progress and will be updated regularly.

Foil-flowers: They look similar to daisies except they have much shinier petal and are colored almost an iridescent buttercup yellow.

Melpod: One of the most widely cultivated and diverse species of fruit that are available in the new plants of Dead Earth. The Melpod when unripe is completely white and hard as rock, when ready for picking, it's skin will turn a rotted black color and the inside flesh will turn a luminescent yellow. It is very soft when ripe and can easily rot within a few days, but will only ripen at room temp. It's size is averagely the size of a large man's fist and is oval. It is one of the best fruits for making alcoholic drinks, it also has several health benefits, the skin is full of collagen and can help regrow skin easily when used in a paste; if the entire fruit is eaten (skin and all) it can help with dehydration issues and gut upsets.

Duskwood: A wood that is a medium hardness, perfect for making furniture but not good for anything that is needed for protection. This wood is completely charcoal gray on the outside bark (which is smooth with no discernable bark), inside it has a dusky kind of purple color. It is one of the most expensive woods that exist on Dead Earth and is used usually as an investment in case of the future because a single piece of decent sized furniture could easily buy a small house.
