An idea that had been brewing in my head for the past month or so and has refused to leave me alone so I wrote it out. I don't normally write fantasy so I'm sort of eh on this. Let me know what you think. Maybe this will become a full series.

Tales of the Slender Fang: Noble Poundage

The sun had set on the abandoned fort deep within the mountains. Lady Angelic hugged her knees in her cell as the night chill seeped through the ruined stone fortress. The red fox anthro dressed in blue silks kept her breathing soft, less her captors heard her. Maybe, if she were lucky, they would have forgotten about her. She knew the bandits, a pair of bear-folk from one of the southern kingdoms, who took her prisoner wouldn't forget about her but still she couldn't help but hope that was the case. After all, the fort was in a remote part of the kingdom and she now regretted her insistence on keeping the details of her travels a secret to all but a few. No one would know she had been kidnapped until the ransom letters were sent, Angelic could only hope that was soon. Before her captors started to get ideas for ways to pass the time...

A sudden burst of wind, as brief as it was abrupt, brought the captive noble out of her fretful monologue and caused her to look up. There, walking out of the shadows and stepping into the rays of moonlight shining through the crumbling masonry, was the most curious-looking individual Angelic ever saw. A gray-furred timber wolf dressed in black leather armor and carrying the implements of a seasoned adventurer or sell-sword, silently regarded her with a sly grin as he delicately crept towards her cell and put a finger to pursed lips.

Delicate seemed to be a good word to describe the stranger in general, the princess decided as she watched him unfurl a leather-wrapped bundle of lockpicks and began to quietly work on picking the heavy iron lock holding her captive. Slender and in many regards quite feminine in appearance, were it not for the tightness of his leather armor in certain places Angelic might have mistaken him for a female rogue. Even if the situation weren't so dire, the captive noblewoman had the distinct impression that her rescuer would not be much of a conversationalist as he continued to slowly and laboriously caress the lock. The wolf seemed to be in a world of his own lost in the rhythm of the locksmith's art.

After what felt like an eternity, the lock was opened and after carefully running a gloved hand along the hinges to test for rust, he gently pushed the door inwards. "Hello Lady Angelic." He spoke, his voice as soft as the silk in her dress as he regarded her with a slow lick of his chops.

Angelic was just about to frantically inquire how he knew her name or that she was here when she felt a sharp, painful prick where her neck met her shoulder. She barely saw the needle-like dart in her rescuer's hand before passing out...

Slender Fang smiled as the princess went limp in his arms. He preferred to use sleep darts at a distance but sometimes one needed to improvise. With a canine ear open for the two bandits down in the main hall, he quickly focused back on the job at hand. Deft hands stripped Lady Angelic down to her bare fur, her clothes tossed into a small pile. His steel gray eyes glistened as he spotted what he was looking for, the ornate sliver ring with her family's crest. Taking that from her hand and setting it on top of her discarded dress and undergarments, the delicate rogue focused on his favorite part of the job.

Hoisting the vixen up by her ankles and opening his lupine mouth wide, Fang began to swallow his mark feet first. His throat bulged as he dropped down to his belly and started to gulp up her knees. To his delight, Angelic was blessed with the pampered fat of nobility. Thick thighs and a round rump were squished and squeezed into his elastic mouth as his canine tongue caressed her soft belly; it had been so long since he had such a good meal. Reaching up to press her ample breasts into his maw, he couldn't resist stealing a brief feel before pressing the noblevixen's head into his mouth and letting it rest against the back of his throat before he closed his jaw and consigned his prey to his gut with a mighty swallow.

Looking down and licking his lips to savor her lingering flavor, Slender Fang gave his barely perceptible bulge a gentle rub. Technically, the lady should have left him looking like a female positively bloated with a litter of pups but the enchanted corset worn beneath his leather armor did a marvelous job hiding the evidence of his appetites, preventing him from being encumbered by the girth of a big belly until he could enjoy the sensation safely. His first course had just begun to stir and squirm inside his body as he licked her taste from his hands and contemplated the matter of the two bandits downstairs.

Bending over to scoop up the lady's effects, Fang continued to listen for the bandits downstairs as he briefly paused to appraise Angelic's garments. A little torn and a bit soiled from the grime of her cell and the rough demeanor of her captors but nothing that was beyond his abilities so he stuffed them in his pack before swinging it back over his shoulder. Meanwhile in his "other bag", Angelic began to regain consciousness and struggled more fiercely. The wolf rogue merely smiled and patted his barely perceptible belly bulge. "Hush now, you know what they say. A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips." He smiled and walked towards the stairwell down into the old fort's main foyer.

Leather boots gently stepped on the worn stone steps as Fang sniffed the air tentatively. The great hall stank with the smell of strong beer and pine smoke; the two bandits were drunk and burning evergreen logs in the fire pit. This almost could not be easier.

With a gloved hand on his short sword in case his usual tactic did not work, Fang slipped back and let his rounded figure and black leather blend into the shadows as he picked up a stray rock and carefully tossed it. Sure enough, the clacking of stone on stone caused just enough racket to get one bandit to get up and investigate the noise occurring outside of his partner's line of sight. Bears were much more challenging to swallow down then a fox, though all that bulk and shaggy fur made them a much more satisfying meal once the bandit had been gulped down and crammed into the same tight space as his former captive. Outside, even the corset's magical properties weren't enough to keep Fang from showing a pronounced gut similar to the beer-bellied bear he just swallowed. The enchanted garment was beginning to grow unbearably tight; the other bandit would be the end of tonight's binge.

The first bandit's feet had just disappeared into the intruder's insatiable maw when the second finally rose to his feet and lumbered over to investigate. A truncheon blow to the crotch followed by a second one to the side of the head took care of any thoughts of resistance before Fang could devour his third course. Tugging on a quick release around his waist, studded leather jerkin and enchanted corset fell to the floor as his concealed stomach promptly ballooned outward into a belly that looked like it contained a mount. The wolf used his weight to pin the bandit beneath his belly as he swallowed the second ruffian headfirst as quickly as the first. Three stretched gulps and the scoundrel was gone.

The fort cleared of any inhabitants save himself, the gluttonous assassin licked his chops a second time and savored the opportunity to let his gray-furred stomach hang in its full glory. His domed abdomen hung down to his knees and gurgled audibly as Fang slowly turned and waddled towards the roaring fire pit. His meal's muffled cries brought a sly grin to his face as he lay down on the stone floor with his belly facing the fire. Closing his eyes as a loud belch echoed through the stone ruins, Fang exhaled happily and drifted off to sleep....

The next morning, the wolf scoundrel awoke with a groan and a rub of his swollen belly. Last night's dinner had long since quieted and shrunk down to something he could easily tuck away beneath his corset, the long, black haired male spending a few minutes holding and gently caressing his engorged abdomen. The morning after was always the best part of the job... Now all he needed to do was head back to Stonebrook and get paid. Stupid nobles hiring assassins to get out of arranged marriages, hadn't anyone ever heard of simply divorcing the bitch?

Tucking in his stomach under his corset and putting his armor back on, Fang ambled out into the bright sunlight and started walking towards the main road with a weighty sway in his meaty hips. A glove hand reached down to give his swelling thunder thighs a gentle pat. The noblewoman and her captors had begun to settle into their new dungeon quite nicely, quite nicely indeed....

Coming upon the main road a little while later, the lupine adventurer turned in the direction of Stonebrook and started walking. Leather boots clicked against the worn cobblestones as his broad hips swayed to and fro while his ballooning butt bounced inside his tight black pants. Even with as much give as his armor had, the material still creaked in protest to his growing girth. Good thing the walk would provide him with enough exercise to keep his weight from becoming a hindrance....

The sun had just started to set as Slender Fang arrived in Stonebrook. Built alongside a narrow river cutting through the mountains, Stonebrook was a trade city known for its grain and textile mills. Waterwheels turned slowly, driving various machines with the river's current. Hopefully he will be able to still gain an audience with the duke of Stonebrook tonight. He could wait until morning if he had to but hated waiting for a number of reasons. More time unpaid meant more time for the client to think of ways to get out of paying him and honestly the wolf never liked staying in the cities of the Middle Kingdoms for any length of time anyway. At least not in the nicer ends of the cities at any rate...

As the adventurer trotted along to the duke's manor, townspeople occasionally stopped to look at him and whisper among themselves. A traveling sell-sword wasn't uncommon in a city-state that traded with several fiefdoms but one with his particular appearance on the other hand... Fang ignored their snickers and the occasional gesturing towards his round rump as he ambled his way to collecting his fee. If they only knew how his ass got that big...

The duke's manor was situated in the center of the city, overlooking the river. Walking up to the chainmail-clad guards on duty, Fang bowed ever so slightly. "I am Slender Fang, I am here to conclude the business discussed with your master three days ago."

The senior guard laughed. "Hah, I remember you. The duke is not having any more audiences today but I'll let him know you returned. He seemed particularly interested in resolving whatever your business is." The shift captain greeted and headed inside to announce the fat wolf's arrival,

Duke Von Kaiser of the Stonebrook fiefdom was a rotund gray and black raccoon that clearly enjoyed the wealth his position afforded him, his lavish outfit reputedly needing to be retailored every few months or so to accommodate another inch on his waistline. The hired assassin bowed and went through the customary pleasantries before the duke beckoned him into the noble's private chambers so they could discuss business quietly.

"So, is it done? Have you brought proof?" Von Kaiser began in earnest.

Fang merely smiled and handed him the signet ring that Angelic reputedly never removed from her finger. The duke smiled and nodded satisfactory. "And the body? Will no one ever find it?"

To that, Fang merely belched and patted his plump belly, his hand sinking into his doughy abdomen. His client's grin broadened wickedly as he continued. "Excellent, excellent. That cow of a female would have eaten me out of household yet her father insisted on marrying her to establish an alliance with him."

You are certainly not one to talk Von Kaiser. Fang thought but didn't say as he was still waiting to be paid. And besides, the wolf mused, he wasn't one to talk either given that the digested noblewoman had fully settled below Fang's waist and taken her brigand captors with her, making his ass as big as hers was if not bigger.

Oblivious to the hired killer's thoughts, the duke continued to ramble on. "Besides, a marriage would ultimately mean the end to my hobbies and a male has to have his hobbies, don't you agree?"

Fang nodded wordlessly, still waiting for the bloated bastard or one of the servants to hand him his pouch of gold for the job. He had heard the rumors about the duke and his "hobbies"; rumor had it the slave caravans risked a trip into the city just to satisfy them. A rumor that was none of his concern so long as he got paid...

Von Kaiser quickly pocketed the ring. "And with this being the only evidence that some tragic fate befell the poor Lady Angelic then did our conversations truly happen?" The duke mused mischievously as he clapped his hands for his guards to show Fang out.

"I suppose this means the promise of payment did not truly happen either?" The wolf replied rhetorically as the guards arrived.

His ring-tailed host merely smiled and beckoned Fang away with a brisk wave of his hand. Yes, the question was indeed rhetorical; he was not getting paid for this task...

Fang let himself be guided out of the manor and back into the city outside. He knew his strengths and dealing with a troop of heavily armed guards within shouting distance was not one of them. Keeping his expression neutral, he ambled towards the lower income district near the city's wall. He wanted to punch a wall or snarl but kept his temper in check. An example needed to be made of Kaiser for stiffing him of his payment; Fang couldn't have people like the duke fouling up his reputation. But he needed to keep a clear head as he went on this particular hunt if he wanted it to succeed. And for that he needed to spend some time collecting information first instead of charging into things like some blasted fool.

Arriving at the first inn that looked like he could afford a room with what remained in his coin purse, the wolf sauntered through the door and into the common room only to find it filled to the brim. Seated at the far end of the room, the innkeeper replied to the traveler's unspoken question with a quick, apologetic shake of his head. Fang nodded politely. Surely there was room at another inn...

When he finally arrived at the third inn, little more then a flophouse a misery-looking feline mistress ran out of a former storehouse. Fang was slightly miffed but on the positive gleaned some useful information out of his inconvenience. The "great and kind" Duke Von Kaiser was hosting a gala at his manor tomorrow night and the town was already overflowing with guests and travelers looking to make a little extra coin. Thinking about it, the assassin might have noticed this the last time he was in town if he wasn't in such a hurry to pick up another job. Regardless, this was Fang's way in....

Getting the landlady to give him a bunk with a modicum of privacy cost a little extra coin but was ultimately worth it. Pulling the curtains shut before pulling Angelic's clothes out of his bag and laying them on the bed, he consulted a small, leather-bound book kept at the bottom of his bag. While no real wizard, he did know a handful of minor cantrips that proved to be particularly handy from time to time. The spells of mending and cleaning were particular favorites of his. Gesturing to the dress, he whistled two short bars softly. The first cast the clothes in a pale blue glow as the fabric magically stitched itself together, tears and rips disappearing. The second melody cleaned the gown, making the dirt and grime stains vanish. Putting the book and clothes back into his bag, he sat down on the bed. His broad posterior and growing poundage caused the mattress to tip to one side as he lay down properly in the bed, the wooden bed frame creaking beneath his weight as the wolf slept off the remainder of his meal...

The next evening, Stonebrook came alive with the sounds of merry-making as the people celebrated. Fang wasn't sure the people even knew why they were celebrating as he made his way through the town square in his disguise, though he had his suspicions about why the duke hosted this particular event so soon. Either way, it mattered not so long as no one looked twice at the bottom-heavy vulpine noblewoman in her resplendent blue dress heading towards the duke's manor...

Blue gown stretched tight against Fang's plump figure, the disguised wolf assassin flashed a bright smile as he joined the small crowd of nobility gathered in the courtyard outside of the duke's house. Angelic's dress fit him perfectly and a few illusion spells allowed him to assume her general facial features and pelt coloration. His illusion wasn't good enough to pass as a perfect replica but it was good enough to make the guards believe he was someone other then the effeminate wolf they sent away the day before. As for Angelic's gown and garments, it turned out they had a surprising amount of comfortable give to them. Perhaps there was something to the insinuation that the vixen was a greedy little glutton herself before she made her way to the wolf's hindquarters....

The conversation of the visiting nobles and ladies in waiting was even less interesting then own monolog. Most of them were concerned with getting drunk or indulging in the lavish banquet. Apparently two Knights of the Golden Chalice were temporarily helping the regular kitchen staff with this feast so perhaps there was something to the guests' desire to stuff their faces after all...

Finally the party began to move into the manor proper. Fang continued to maintain the appearance of a visiting noblewoman; helping "her"self to the oaken table piled high with treats set up along one side of the resplendent main hall. Delicious fruits, sweet pastries, and succulent meats were all plated beautifully. The disguised wolf ate reserved, resisting the temptation to indulge blatantly and watching the crowd carefully for his mark and an ideal opportunity to lure him into a quiet corner of the manor. It wasn't easy to resist; his taste buds automatically detected which dishes were made by the Golden Chalice knights and he knew in an instant that their order's reputation was well deserved. Curious though, Fang wondered what the crowd of overdressed gluttons would think if they found out they were contributing to a decrease in the local goblin population... Bleh, no matter, the Goblin Blood Soup was positively delicious so there was no need to enlighten the ignorant to what they were eating.

Finally, the duke had seen fit to make his presence known. Descending down the grand staircase with a sweeping gesture and a slight gelatinous wobble in his silk-clad belly, Von Kaiser welcomed his guests with a booming voice. "Welcome, welcome friends to my home!" He greeted, helping himself to the banquet as he made small talk with the various nobles in attendance. Fang watched his next meal as closely as he could without being suspicious, discreetly licking his chops as he watched the host help himself to a little of everything, the "vixen" always did liked it when prey willingly fattened themselves up for him.

Soon enough, an opportunity presented itself. The duke was free and had finally waddled over to Slender Fang's side of the table. Trotting over, dress and petticoats bouncing in time with Fang's big rump, the disguised assailant gently rubbed up against Von Kaiser and tittered playfully while hiding his illusion-shrouded face behind a silken fan. "Oh Duke Von Kaiser, this such a wonderful party." He giggled with a practiced falsetto.

Fang resisted the urge to smile back when he saw his mark smile at him. "Milady, have we met before? I swear I saw your face before." Von Kaiser replied jovially. Fang had him; he just needed the perfect opportunity to reel him in.

Maybe it's because we spoke before yesterday? Or maybe it's because I modeled my illusion off of the face of the female you hired me to kill? Fang thought but didn't say. Instead what he said was, "Oh no, we never met before but I just had to come see one of your lavish galas for myself."

Von Kaiser continued to smile as he looked at the crowd around them, the other guests had started to congeal into small groups of three or four and either made small talk or began to gorge themselves with less grace now that the wine began to flow. "Truthfully milady, this isn't even my best wine they're drinking. I keep my best vintages down in the cellar. Would you like to join me for a glass?"

Fang saw his opportunity and took it. It didn't matter if the duke's invitation was less then genuine. It was an opportunity to get him alone and he was taking it. "You are a most generous host, of course I accept."

The obese raccoon smiled and beckoned his guest to follow him towards the back of the manor. The disguised Fang followed after him, waiting until they reached the bottom of a dark stone staircase before striking. Using his broad hips to press the duke against the sturdy cellar door, the lupine assassin drew a dagger hidden in his dress and pressed it against his former client's throat. "Did you really think you could get out of paying me Von Kaiser?" He asked with a hiss before opening his mouth wide and swallowing the duke head first.

To his credit, Von Kaiser did put up a fair struggle before being defeated by Fang's appetite. But living the soft life of a noble meant that his body was not strong enough to resist his attacker. Four strong gulps and it was over, the duke's long bushy tail being slurped up like a string of pasta. The enchanted corset compressed Von Kaiser's considerable bulk into a bulge that was easily concealed or at least easily explained away if he quietly went back upstairs and began indulging like the other guests. Still, there was one matter left to deal with before he could call this job done.

Tracing a rune on his belly, Fang belched up the duke's key ring and unlocked the basement. Through was Von Kaiser's wine cellar stocked to the brim with giant wooden casks of wine. At the other end was an oak door that led into a stone corridor that branched off in two separate directions, one leading to the vault, and the other to the duke's playroom. Standing inside the corridor and listening down both ends, the arcane assassin waddled down the direction he didn't hear any breathing coming from. That had to be the direction of the vault. Unlocking the wooden door at the end of the hallway and taking his coin purse out its hiding place in his "bosom," Fang stuck his head into the room and smiled. Piles of gold ingots were stacked neatly near the door while further towards the back of the room were several small strongboxes full of smaller valuables. Waddling in and blatantly ignored the heavy ingots in favor of dumping the contents of the various strong boxes into his coin purse. Gold and sliver coins, small gems, bits of jewelry, the purse was soon filled with an entire chest's worth of portable valuables. Sufficient payment with interest for his trouble...

Ambling back the way he came and leaving the key ring atop a wine cask, Fang stopped at a mirror in an alcove just out of sight of the main hall and checked. Yes, his face was still disguised. Quietly returning to the party, Fang resumed his cover as the overindulgent noble, drinking several goblets of wine and partaking of the entire table at least twice. Several of the other guests remarked on "her" capacity but no one noticed that the host was missing. Gradually the party wound down and the guests saw themselves out. Fang left with them, taking care to discreetly separate from the group once outside and ambling his way towards where he hid his pack and his gear in alley off of the town square.

Changing clothes and wincing as his leather armor began to bite into his swollen girth, he quietly left the city. By morning, the duke's household would notice his disappearance and start a formal search but by then Fang would be long gone. After walking on the main road for a few hours, he made camp off of the road. Lighting no fire, he unfurled his bedroll and undid the release on his jerkin and corset. The sudden decompression would have knocked him on his rump were he not already sitting, the duke having made Fang the largest he had ever been. With his massive stomach spreading his legs apart and still squirming ever so slightly, he gently and quietly stroked his full stomach, savoring the sensation of being so utterly stuffed. The Knights of the Golden Chalice may have made an excellent soup but it was thanks to the duke's own cooks that the main course was so filling....
