A hurt soul lingered upon me With long black waves of hair Her piercing black eyes stared fiercely At me with such despair

She had markings on her body There was one on her arm That caught my eye quite rapidly As if to bring alarm

It was an inverted black star Like it had called my name My attention did not draw far As if it were in vain

Her angelic features rain down On me like golden beams Of radiant light during sundown Or so to me it seems

I followed her down a black road As the sun descended Behind us light no longer glowed Distantly a bird crowed

Filling my body with shivers The sound crawled up my spine Warning me of lurking dangers Though she made it seem fine

She strode with such a confidence And walked in a fast pace With a demeanor for vengeance Yet in her walk lived grace

Further we walked into darkness Isolated from man My eyesight narrowed with blindness I felt like a dead man

The earth was like a corpse tonight No longer this felt okay Her body was far out of sight I knew I'd gone astray

Now stuck in the midst of nowhere By my lonesome I walked I begin to chant a prayer Feels like I'm being stalked

I turn 'round and gape at nothing Only blackness and cold Trapped in an abyss of haunting In Satan's cruel threshold

I realize where I am at now Trembling with fear I shake Eager to escape fate somehow Wishing that this is fake

I fall to my knees as they give Seeking for forgiveness Of sinful acts that I've outlived My burning consciousness

Zoning back to memories That I chose to forget Now damning me with grim furies Making sure I'll regret

The ground started to burn and crack Fiery hell broke loose I was the centre of attack And I had no excuse

He threw his wrath upon my soul My plea for mercy mute My voice weak, I yearn for console Aware he'll execute

His voice deep with love of hatred Unearthly it did sound And mimicked me as I waited Echoed as it spun 'round

"I've been keeping note of you, Sir" His words were loud and clear There were no signs of his figure Yet I knew he was near

"Satan have mercy on me, please" Was all I could manage Before my voice had cracked and seized My words at a shortage

He told me "no need to worry, Son, I'll make you a bet" He'd release me of misery And free me of my debt

If I brought him back a sinner I was free to leave Hell So my search began at dinner Waiting for night to dwell
