In this story for Silver144, Harry the wizard finds that while his luck only gets worse and worse, he has only himself to blame for it!

He comes across a new kobold female, after Charsi abandons him following her embarrassing defeat, and immediately, he decides to make her his new sidekick. Charsi, however, wasn't planning on leaving him forever, and when she returns to the forest to find that her place has been taken, she's fuming with rage!

Harry is eager to pit his new pet against Charsi, but without any kind of training, what kind of a chance does the newcomer have?

As always, read, comment and enjoy! (Marked adult because of nudity, bad language and sensuality.)

If you were to ask him personally, Harry would tell you that he had the worst luck in the world, even if it wasn't the truth.

While he was a wizard of great renown, once upon a time, he was reduced to little more than battling with other wizards to vent his aggression those days, and somehow, he always seemed to be on the losing end of things.

His spells were powerful, his wand was quick, and he was sure that he always picked the best subordinates to fight for him, when the occasion called for such.

His record simply didn't reflect that.

"And then Charsi running off with that other, slutty kobold after she was defeated...I was disgraced! Humiliated!" he threw up his arms in disgust as he made his way through the overgrown trails of a forest. Like many wizards, he lived mostly in seclusion, picking a small hut out in the middle of the woods, so that he wouldn't be disturbed with the trivial needs of everyday people.

That didn't mean that he didn't have to deal with outsiders every now and again, however. Harry was just spoiled, as many wizards were.

The kobolds that they put to work for them typically lived lives that were every bit as short as they were difficult. A race composed almost entirely of females, the kobolds existed almost entirely to serve those who were more intelligent, or, in rare cases, physically stronger. There were very few who could actually speak in human tongues, and while those who could were considered something of a treasure, it was clear that they understood human logic and culture.

The humans believed themselves to be above everything, and unfortunately, the kobolds were culled and controlled before any sort of an uprising could ever start.

Harry lived on the advantage of the same, claiming whatever creatures that he felt belonged to him, and be it through the use of magic, or through financial gain, he almost always got his wish, which contributed to what a sore loser he was.

He still couldn't believe that Charsi would betray him in such a way, however. He'd treated her better than any other kobold he'd ever controlled, and knowing the struggles of the average kobold life, those days had to be the best days that Charsi ever had the privilege to enjoy.

Unsure if he could ever forgive her, Harry approached the last trails before the entrance to his home carrying a wand in his right hand, and the burden of his hatred for her in his heart.

The wand was clutched just a little bit tighter than before as Harry picked up the sound of rustling in the bushes near his turn. "If you consider yourself some kind of a predator, you're a lousy one, at best. Show yourself or I'll turn that whole bush to dust, and you along with it!"

There was a long, thick tail sticking out of the side of the bush, and for a moment, Harry thought Charsi might have come back to him, but the color of the scales was wrong. A pale, slate shade covered the whole of her body, and Harry truly could see all of it, as she stood up from the cover of the bush,

She was naked as the day she was born, wearing only her scales, and the small, subtle row of spikes upon her lower back that carried a mild shade of gold to them. Bright, brilliant locks of blue carried back from her forehead, standing wildly out from the otherwise delicate gray of her body, and her eyes burned with the same powerful, orange intensity that he'd come to expect of even the weakest kobolds.

Her body took a shape that suggested more of a sensual nature, rather than a fighting one...but as she stepped out of the bushes without even a hint of aggression, Harry knew that she was only looking for shelter.

"If I knew any better, I'd turn you away," Harry murmured. She only came closer to him, despite his words, and brushed the side of her horns against his shoulder, showing a loyalty and affection that Harry didn't deserve. "But...if you're so keen on being a part of my life, perhaps I can find a use for you, my dear kobold...do you have a name?"

This one didn't know how to speak very well in human tongues, but she made a quiet attempt at Harry as he lifted the side of his wand. "You...you're alone," she murmured, as the wand sent a cool, soothing chill through the side of the kobold's cheek, and her eyes closed as her expression turned to utter content. "Me...can change that..."

"It's not a name, but it's a start," Harry groaned. "That's okay. We'll give you a name, my dear...and a home...and most importantly, a purpose."

Whether Charsi was ever physically close to Harry, she knew that she was on his mind, and of course, she missed the life that he afforded her.

It might have been a mistake, but passions were running high after Charsi lost her fight with Lina. The orange-scaled kobold couldn't help herself, and having lost the battle, she lost the right to protest with Lina in the first place. The sex was amazing, and it was one of the few pleasures that kobolds could share in a world that didn't properly value them, but it didn't have the same, long-term enjoyment of being taken care of.

She was bathing in a river; her scales were completely soaked with dirt, covering up the brilliant, neon orange that normally made her stick out in a crowd. Blue eyes simply couldn't sparkle with the same tenacity that they did before, now that she was on her own again, and she was completely famished, having gone almost two whole days without anything to eat.

She knew that she couldn't face Harry again. She didn't want to face him again, even if she remembered the way back to his house. She just wished that she could return to the life that he gave her, even for a day, and soak up all of the luxuries that she had.

The moment was so brief that she could hardly remember how wonderful it was, and now, she was wandering around the forest aimlessly. She knew that going back into town meant that a lesser wizard or slave trader would simply shuffle her off to somewhere else, and she knew that the world outside of the wilderness wasn't much better, if at all.

Running out of options and energy, to boot, Charsi regretfully made her way down the path toward Harry's shack. It may have been small and dusty, especially for a great wizard, but it was still the largest home Charsi ever had the pleasure of living in, and moreover, she actually had her own bed, rather than having to sleep on bushes that were filled with bugs, or dirt that got stuck between her scales.

"That home was a paradise...I was such a damned fool to leave it!" she cursed herself as she tried to swallow her pride. "If I'd just been able to keep a hold of my head, I wouldn't be in this mess...I'd be eating freshly cooked meat every night and sleeping in a real bed!"

Charsi tried to focus on the feelings of disgust that she felt for Harry. He was a typical, human male in her eyes, existing only to find pleasure in life and using anyone that happened to be at his disposal to achieve it.

She felt a different kind of disgust as she made her way down the path to Harry's residence and saw a female there with him, rubbing her open palms down over the robes upon his chest.

"He...he's moved on already?!" she tried not to exclaimed, as she gritted a paw at her side. Claws dug into the softer flesh of her palm as she stood and watched the man who had treated her so well cavorting with another woman, only weeks after they shared their time together.

A silent ball of rage, she curled up into the taller grass of the over-grown forest and watched with narrowed eyes as the new kobold smoothed her paws upon Harry, working the tension and stress out of his shoulders. Even through his robe, Charsi could see his member starting to grow with enjoyment, and his eyes slowly rolled back as the new woman on the block gave a quick display of her unique set of skills.

She was fully dedicated to Harry within just hours of meeting him, after seeing the kind of life that the wizard could offer her...and Charsi was sick with jealousy.

With a rage burning every bit as bright as the scales that covered her body, Charsi did everything she could to keep still. Her fangs were clenched tight together as tears welled up in the corners of her eyes, and though she tried to prevent it, she simply couldn't keep her body from shaking with anger.

The bushes were blown apart by a sudden gust of wind as Harry flicked his wand in her direction, ever vigilant about his safety. "These woods are mine, foul creature! Show yourself if you wish to be struck down with dignity and honor!"

"Dignity? Honor? You know nothing of those things, you filthy wizard!" Charsi cried out, as she stood up from the bushes and glared upon Harry.

The wizard blinked with surprise and gripped at the red and yellow pattern of his scarf with a nervous clench. "C...Charsi? You're alive?"

"Lina and I went into the woods to have sex, you idiot! She wasn't going to kill me!" Charsi cried out, as she began stomping her way over to the wizard and his new assistant. "Do you give up on all of your women so easily?"

Charsi's heightened intelligence gave her a more intricate understanding of human relationships, making Harry's move to a new kobold that much more insulting than it should have been. It seemed that his ability to offer a greater life, however, was already infecting his new hire, as she hissed at Charsi.

"I'd be careful to cross her, Charsi. She's very good with her paws, and it looks to me like you're already standing on shaky legs. You could scarcely hold up in a fight before...do you really think you can handle her?" Harry asked, allowing a false grin to cover his nervous expression.

To have been humiliated in battle the way that she was never sat well with Charsi. She prided herself on being a warrior, even if that was the only skill she could offer Harry.

With her claws extended, she took another step forward, determined to prove that she still had what it took to get the job done.

"Get rid of the wench before I tear her to shreds, Harry. You know that I will."

"You want her gone?" Harry asked, refusing to step out of the comforting embrace of the new female. "You come and get rid of her yourself, Charsi."

Stepping away from Harry and smirking, clearly seeing Charsi as no kind of a threat, the poor kobold made a terrible mistake. She charged against the more experienced fighter and slashed at the air, but even in an exhausted body, Charsi was twice the fighter her opponent could ever hope to be.

FWISH! Claws tore through the air in front of Charsi as she kept taking steps back and away from the new female, putting little effort into her dodging. It was all a ploy, as Charsi backed herself into the trunk of a tree...and then simply ducked.

Claws missed her headfur narrowly and stuck into the trunk of the tree with a painful THUNK, and the new female found she didn't have the strength to pry her arms away from the bark.

"You aren't anywhere near my level, sweetheart...but that doesn't mean I'm gonna take pity on you," Charsi assured her, as the orange kobold stood behind her trapped opponent and slipped a claw into her scales. The new female cried out in pain as Charsi drew a letter upon her back, pulled the claw away, and stuffed it back in an inch further down.

Standing nearby and watching with a pasty, pale face, Harry trembled with fear as Charsi little carved her name into the back of the losing female with her claws. The sound of chitin moving through tough scales was like teeth grinding on a bone, and Harry's stomach nearly leapt out of his throat as Charsi made her way to him with blood still dripping from her paws.

"I'll keep the slut around for when I'm feeling needy," Charsi suggested, as she made her way back to Harry, leaving the second kobold stuck to the tree, crying out with pain. "As for you, wizard...make my bed, make me a meal...and Harry?"

"Y-yes?" he asked, his lower lip trembling as he immediately ran for the door of the house.

"If you ever cheat on me again...there is no magic in the land that will undo the horrors I will unleash upon your pathetic body!"
