Chapter One: The birth of a Captain and New Power
It began a month before Aizen summoned his espadas, I walked down the hallways of the solciety acdemey completely shy and oblivious of what to do I hid my face in my porcelean mask as my black hair flowed down to my waist. I swiftly walked through the hallways, face down,and books in my hands. Until CRASH!!! I fell downwards seeing stars I quickly came back to my senses and scurried to grab my stuff. I then attempted to grab my kido book when I felt a rough gloved hand on mine. I slowly looked up and saw a captain with a wooden mask on, I looked at him and stared straight into his bright yellow eyes and was mesmerized. I looked into those eyes and I felt at home. Embarassed I soon gathered up my books and ran to my class I kept running, my heart pounding as I kept running until I reached my class and today was the captain test and I couldn't wait until it was done.
One class later... my eyes went wide as I looked at the sheet (though no one could see) I passed and became the third division's new captain!!! I slowly walked up to the teachers in utter shock and asked," Um, Captain Kyouraku Shunsui and Captain Ukitake Juushiro is this well... perhaps right?" The captains then looked at me and smiled Captain Ukitake then replied,"Yes they are you answered all the questions correctly, your extremely powerful, and extremely intellegent." He smiled brightly then asked," I just have a question did you perhaps mastered your bankai yet?" I looked up,smiled (through the mask), and said,"No, I haven't but I am extremely close." Then all of a sudden I felt my spirit pressure suddenly rise. I felt energy flow through my body, then without any warning my body began to burn I felt so much pain I practically screamed as the pain overflowed and I fell into the darkness.
I moved my head left and right wondering where I was, wondering what was happening, and why I was here.When suddenly," Hello child." a voice called. I soon moved my head and suddenly the darkness disappeared as I entered my innerworld a world full of beautiful flowers as that half had light the other contained darkness and a world of skyscrapers. I felt awe and shock at the sight of my innerworld. I moved and looked around until. "Hello child" I turned around and saw (well what appeared) a beautiful archangel claded in gold and silver armor and next to her a dark and dreadful reaper with a claws, spikes, and dark leather wings completely claded in black and red armor. The pair then asked in unison,"Do you know our names?" I nodded then whispered,"Tsubasa and Shinigami ." They both smiled as a ray of darkness and light envoloped my being and my eyes slowly fluttered open.
I opened my eyes and looked to my sides as I noticed my mask was still on. The burning pain stopped and felt an item on my neck. "That necklace will contain your vast spiritual power." I arose and moved my head to the left to see the 4th Division Captain Unohana Retsu it seems I'm in the healing center I slowly got up and felt my weak legs collapse. I fell, bent down on one knee then once again I tried getting up and was successful. Slowly and steadily I walked towards the captain, bowed, and gave her my thanks as I walked out of the room. I placed my hands on my waist to be in complete shock as I looked down and noticed I didn't have one zanpukto but three but the guards were different there on one was a black star, on the other was a white star, and the last one had a silver hilt with a rose guard. I ignored that thought and quickly walked to the head captain's office.
After I reached the office and recieved my coat I quickly put it on and used flash step to get to the entrace of the third devision's quarters. I entered the quarters and was welcomed with several gazes as the devisions lined up and ready. I slowly walked towards the front steps and looked down to see that my lieutenant was already infront of me greeting and quickly respecting me. I told him to stop and began talking," Let me introduce myself my name is Nero Damian and as you know I am the third devision's new captain. I hope I can get along with every single one of you extremely well and I hope that we could all be great allies and friends. I am sort of strict, but I will try my best to not force you into doing something you would regret. So I guess that is all, thank you for listening to me." I quickly turned around and headed straight into my office and began the high loads of paperwork. Wondering how this will all work out and if I see those beautiful yellow eyes again.
