Sleep is an amazing thing, dreams even more so. However, sometimes the darker side of the human mind prevails during sleep and we see things that are uncomfortable or disturbing. in English, Sleep paralysis + Bad dreams are horrifying

You're lying in bed, face down, right hand under your pillow providing your head support as you doze.

Your mind is groggy but pleasantly relaxed, your eyes just barely cracked open, just enough to let a sliver of light in.

Everything is quiet just as i should be.

your sheets hug you closely but that gap for your head allows warm air to escape keeping you cool as the fan in the corner of the room circulates the air with a soft hum.

That's when it strikes you. You are not alone.

It's not much to go by, a tiny squeak, and a dull "Thump" are indications that something just entered your room towards your behind.

You immediately turn your head to see the unwelcome visitor...

Or so you try, you cant move your head.

You try to flip yourself on your side, but you cant.

*Thump*

What ever is behind you just got closer, you can feel vibrations from the footstep.

Your mind is racing now, you try to move again, anything even just a twitch in your finger still you lay motionless, you can feel the current in your nerves yet your muscles don't respond.

*Thump*

It's even closer now, despite the constant churning of the fan you can hear the footstep.

Your mind is in terror, you physically are unable to make the slightest adjustment to your position, your mind is now wide awake yet your body is still asleep.

Air. you need Air. If you can breathe, you can wake up.

But you can't.

Despite how hard you try, your diaphragm will not contract, you cant gasp, you can't move.

Suddenly the weight on your bed shifts, it's right on top of you.

you feel a breath on the side of your neck, right by the artery.

your thoughts scream for air, for movement, for something, yet nothing happens.

As this all happens, it begins to fade gradually, as you feel something on your neck, the last of your thoughts fade away as you drift off into unconsciousness again.
