Part 11 - Unexpected Happenings

Early morning 8:15 am, everyone's awake but only one person wasn't ... namely me.

I should've woken up by now, but I'm still asleep and my mom and Silver were getting ready. Mom had to go to work in 30 minutes and Silver about the same. 8:30 am and I'm still asleep, my mom called out to me a couple of times but I didn't respond. I was sleeping happily and with a smile on my face, until 8:45 am. Mom was getting really impatient now, considering that I had slept through my alarm clock again.

"Razor, Razor! Wake up Razor!" Mom yelled shaking me like mad.

"Ugh, mom, please 5 more minutes." I groaned.

"No more, you got to leave for school in 10 minutes!" She yelled.

"School starts in 10 minutes?! Why didn't you wake me?!" I yelled.

"I tried! You just wouldn't wake up!" She yelled back.

"Aaaah! I'm going to be so late!" I shouted.

This startled even Silver who was waiting downstairs.

"Wow, that was ... loud." Silver thought.

I rushed to the bathroom asking my mom to get my clothes ready, while I took my quick shower, my mom put my clothes in the bathroom and prepared my lunch. I got out, dressed myself real fast, put my books and stuff in my backpack and checked if I needed anything else. I got downstairs, picked up my lunch, put it in my bag, and put on my coat.

"Ok, I'm ready!" I said.

"You sure? Check again." Elena said.

I double checked only to find I missed my wallet, keys and my pen case.

"Crap!" I yelled and ran back upstairs.

After a few minutes I came back down looking satisfied and ready.

"ok, this time I am really ready." I said.

"Haha, about time too." Silver laughed.

"Hurry up you two! You're already late enough." Elena said.

"Yea you're right, alright, come on Razor, I'm driving you to school today." Silver said.

"Alright! A ride with Silver!" I smiled.

Elena, Silver and me all laughed in unison and right when Silver left the doorway I stopped.

"Silver ... aren't you forgetting something?" I asked mischievously.

"Huh? Like what? I got my keys, wallet and ... why you looking at me like that?" he asked.

I looked back and saw Elena look at me, then looked back at Silver.

"Come on! Don't you get the hint?! Get back inside!" I yelled.

"Wha? But we're late! There's no time." Silver said.

"A kiss only needs to be a minute! Do it!" I said.

I kept nagging and saying he should go back inside to give my mom a kiss. He kept declining until he finally gave in.

"Alright! Alright! Just stop nagging!" he said.

"haha yay I won. Ok I will." I said.

Silver went back inside to give mom a kiss. It was just a kiss on the cheek and I kept looking at him with the same dull eyes, like I keep on looking at him when I'm annoyed.

"What? You want it to be more?!" he said.

"Well ... yea! Come on loverboy! Show her what you got!" I yelled.

"Hey! Not so loud!" he said looking left to right.

"Fine! But you'd better keep this quiet in school!"

"Haha, ok, I will ... Loverwolf." I laughed.

Silver sighed and gave her a kiss on the mouth this time and it lasted a whole wopping minute. I was surprised at how the wolf that said there was no time, took his time to kiss her. When they finally stopped kissing, they looked at me and saw me with a big grin.

"Oh, now what?" Silver asked.

"Nothing ... nothing at all." I said still grinning.

"Come on you devil." Silver said.

With that we left home and headed to school. The trip took about 15 minutes and thus I was late 10 minutes already.

"Ok, you'd better hurry to class now." Silver said.

"Yea! I missed 10 minutes already!" I yelled.

And with that I left Silver and headed for class. I knocked on the door and waited for response, when I heard a come in, I entered and apologised for being late.

The class seemed to take ages even though I missed already ten minutes.

"Hey Anna, sorry I'm late." I whispered.

"Hey, don't worry about that, you didn't miss anything at all."Anna responded.

"However, be careful ... teach is in a bad mood today."

"Hm, that can't be good." I said.

"Anna! Razor! Be quiet!" The teach yelled from at the blackboard.

"Sorry!" Both me and Anna said in unison.

"Wow, she actually heard that?" I asked.

"Yes I heard that Razor." the teach answered that for Anna.

I was stunned and surprised that she did, I thought she had gotten a little bit too good at hearing now. At first she didn't hear anything at all, now she hears too much. I was annoyed with that thought.

Anna suddenly passed me a piece of paper, written on it was whether I still remembered what we agreed on doing today.

The teach suddenly put down her crayon and turned around.

"If there is something you have to tell, Razor, Anna, why not tell the entire class about it." the teach said in an annoyed way.

"What? You told us to be quiet so we are." I responded annoyed with her remark.

"Anna just asked me on the paper whether I still remembered our promise. That's all."

The teach came to us and snatched the piece of paper out of my hands, she then read it and put it back on my desk. A few more minutes passed and everyone was starting to be bored with her teaching. A few tried not to yawn but failed, and everytime someone did yawn, she would turn around and scribble something on a paper. Finally I couldn't help it anymore.

"Ah, so ... bored." I sighed really silently.

"If this is so boring Razor, why don't you give us the lesson in a more fun way." the teach said putting down her crayon and turning around slowly.

"um ... I ... can't teach." I said.

"Then don't interrupt my lessons." she said while scribbling something down on that paper again.

A few more yawned and said a few things and everytime people did, the teach turned around and scribbled things on that piece of paper.

After a while the teach stopped writing on the blackboard and told everyone to just copy it.

Not even getting some information, we all just copied the blackboard and waited.

The teach then saw that everyone finished copying and started talking.

"Alright, first of all there are a few people I'd like to see today after school again." she said.

"Starting with Razor, for being so ... bored and rude and for being not even human or wolf. Then we have ..."

"Teach that's unfair and discrimination!" Anna yelled.

"The school laws forbid this kind of thing!"

"Well then I guess you'll have to come to detention too, Anna." the teacher said.

She named the entire list, which was practically half the class. Then soon after the school bell rang and everyone left the class.

"Man, I really can't stand her." I nagged.

"She changed. That's for sure." Anna said.

We left the hallways and entered the next classroom where we found Silver sleeping on the equipment.

"Wow ... Silver? Asleep in class?" Anna said looking surprised.

"I bet he had a ... wild night." I said looking mischievous.

"Wild night? What you mean Razor?" she asked curiously.

"Oh, um nothing, just forget I said anything." I said looking away.

At that moment Silver woke up and looked at me, looking rather annoyed. My guess was that he heard everything I said.

"Razor, come here for a minute will you?" he said.

"Um sure? What's wrong?" I asked.

"Remember what you promised me!" He loudly whispered in my ear.

"Oh heh, right ... that." I said looking down.

"Sorry, won't happen again."

Silver then stretched his arms and craned his neck, looked around and noticed everyone was already inside the classroom.

"Hm, looks like everyone really wants to have FE today huh?" he asked.

"yea!" Everyone yelled in unison.

"Well, guess I'm sorry to disappoint you all then." he said.

"What?!" everyone yelled in unison again.

"Why? What's going on?!"

"You all ... are going to have a test today, no right now." Silver said.

"What?! What kind of test? You didn't say anything about a test coming up." I yelled.

"Oh I didn't? Well there's a reason for that. I didn't want you all to practise for it. I want to see how well you have become with ranged weapons, and if I had told you, you would've practised and trained to the max, just to make sure you wouldn't fail. And now, you have to be confident only and your aim must be true." he explained.

"Hm, I see. So all we have to do is trust on our basics and everything we learned to get our points right?" I asked.

"Pretty much yes." Silver said.

"Um, but I can't judge right now."

"Huh? Why not?" I asked.

"I'm exhausted, didn't close an eye last night." he said.

I looked at him with an eyebrow lifted.

"Stop looking at me like that Razor, cause you're going to be the judge." he said.

"What?! How am I to judge?!" I asked.

"All you need to do is see that they stand behind the line on the floor and see if they hit their targets. There are 10 targets so hit them all and you get 10/10 if you miss one just reduce the score by one, that's it. Basic ain't it." he said.

"I suppose so." I said.

"Well I got a favour to ask all of you." Silver said.

"Um, please keep an eye out for the principal so I won't get caught sleeping, I really am exhausted and need some rest."

Soon everyone of my class started taking turns to hit the targets and score their points. I was watching everything, from where they stood to how they tried hitting the targets. Almost everyone had had a turn except a few, including me, when we saw the principal coming this way. We soon woke up Silver and I gave him the papers with scores. I then had to try and score my points, which I did without fail. The principal then entered the door, and stood there watching as the few remaining took their turns and scored their points. As soon as everyone had had their turn, Silver then ordered us to practise a little fighting, while he started counting up the points. After a few minutes Silver then announced everyone's score.

"Alright, let's see here." Silver started.

"On first sight, nobody failed the test which is great. The lowest score is an 8/10 which is still great."

The principal stood there watching and listening to what Silver was saying, motionless and looking rather ... annoyed. My guess is that the principal knew Silver was sleeping a few moments ago.

"Ok then, hm lets see ... you all did the test so fast I ... don't exactly have a lesson prepared." Silver laughed.

Silver closed his eyes and started rubbing his forehead like in deep thought looking for something to do. He finally stopped thinking and opened his eyes again with a smile on his face.

"Ok, I know what we can do." he said.

Silver started tossing over all the equipment in the crates, everything that was in it was literally flying through the classroom.

"Look out!" Anna and me yelled in unison.

Part of the class managed to dodge the equipment just barely. Silver was throwing all the equipment to random places in the class. I then noticed he was getting annoyed with not finding what he wants.

"Darn! Where is it?!" He yelled.

"Principal you wouldn't know where the little black box is do you?" he asked.

"Hm, little black box? I'm sorry Silver, I don't." The principal responded.

"However, maybe the cleaning group might know where it is, they cleaned this room a few moments ago."

"Hm, ok, then I'll go ask them." Silver said.

"Ok class, I'll be right back."

Silver soon left the class leaving us with the principal. Everyone was staring at the principal as he was writing something down on a piece of paper. He looked around and then looked back at the paper. Nobody dared to ask what he was writing down. A little later Silver came back inside with this black box he was talking about.

"Ok, sorry it took so long, the cleaners indeed had the box." Silver said.

"Alright then, let's start."

He then opened the box and dropped it on the floor, it didn't take long before something was emerging from that little black box. Something big, that it is hard to imagine it would fit inside that small box. Soon a big machine-like thing was standing where the little black box was just moments ago.

"Alright, everyone ... meet the blocker." Silver said.

"This big thing here, is a good friend of mine."

"The ... blocker?" I asked.

"Weird name."

"You'll understand why he's called that way soon, Razor." he replied.

"Allow me to show you why he's called that way."

Soon Silver was punching and kicking at that thing with amazing combos none of us had seen and that big thing just blocked all of them.

"See, I didn't land a single hit. That's why he's called the blocker." Silver said smiling.

"Well if you can't hit it immediately when attacking straight at it, why not just try attacking from behind or try to get it of its footing." I said.

"Well, try it." Silver said.

"Actually, everyone ... try getting blocker of its feet."

Soon everyone was taking turns trying to get Blocker of its feet. So far none managed to. Soon almost everyone that attacked was panting from being tired.

"Heh, see so far nobody managed. Principal why don't even you try to get it of its feet?" Silver asked.

"Fine." The principal said, putting away his notes.

The principal gave a good punch which made Blocker wobble a little, yet didn't flinch a bit. Everyone then had a turn, panting as they had tried hardest. Everyone ... but me.

"What's the matter Razor? Scared you can't make it flinch?" Silver dared me.

"Oh, I'll teach it how to fly." I said confident.

"We'll see, go ahead, Blocker's ready for you." He said.

I went up to it and closed my eyes, with a quick spin and a good punch at where his stomach is, I actually landed a hit, even though it blocked my attack. However, it was being thrown back and flew against the wall.

"A ... Amazing strength." Silver said.

"See, told you I'd teach it how to fly." I laughed.

Everyone was amazed that I could make it flinch and throw it back, while no one else could. However, soon after that happened, Silver ordered us to train with Blocker. It didn't take long and Silver was starting to close his eyes now and then. When he finally remembered that the principal was still in the classroom.

"I'm ... in trouble now ... aren't I?" Silver asked.

"You can say that again." The principal responded with angry eyes.

Everyone turned around when they heard that. Nobody would've thought that Silver would get in trouble.

"Wait! Being in trouble for what?" I asked.

"For sleeping in class." The principal responded.

With that response both Silver and the principal left the classroom. We waited for about 30 minutes before Silver came back in the class looking really sad.

"Silver? Is everything ok?" I asked him.

"Hm? Oh um yea ... sure. Everything's ... ok." he said looking away trying to hide his sadness.

"You're lying ... what's happened?" I asked.

Silver closed his eyes and gave a sigh.

"Well ... I suppose I should tell you now since ... it'll most likely be the last chance I'll have." he responded.

"What you mean last chance? You still have us tomorrow!" I said.

"No ... not ... exactly. I ... got fired. I have to pack my bag after teaching you guys now." he said.

"What?!" Everyone yelled in unison.

"Yea ... I ... hate it too." he replied.

"I love teaching you guys but ... I suppose I got too careless that I fell asleep where the principal was watching me."

Everyone was looking down and sad, except ... me, I was looking down but not sad, I was ... mad.

Mad at the principal for doing this to the person I care most for besides my mom.

"I'll get him to give you back your job!" I yelled.

"Razor don't!" Silver yelled.

But I was already outside the classroom running towards the principal's office.
