Part 10 - Everlasting Friendship

I was looking at Silver when he told me he wanted to know me, he was ... really important to me. I treated him like the father I wanted, and hopefully one day would have. I wished, with all my heart, that he would never leave me.

"Come now Razor, let's go home. Don't do that ... inhuman thing any longer." Silver said.

"S ... Silver. Thank you." I said closing my eyes.

"Thank you, for everything and for being with me."

"Don't mention it, now come, let's take a look at those wounds of yours." he said.

When he got to me and wanted to treat the wounds, he found they were already half healed. The bullets that were shot in my body were coming out and my wounds were closing fast.

"That's ... amazing." Silver said with eyes wide open.

"You ... heal so fast."

"I ... know, it's weird, but I feel great." I said eyes back to plain gray.

"It's like I've never been hurt at all."

"That's ... very strange, but at least, you're doing ok and that's what matters." Silver said with a slight smile.

"You don't know how worried I was with you covering for me twice."

"Heh ... people do strange things ... for the people they care about." I said.

"I believe you in that Razor, I really do." Silver smiled.

We walked home, Silver held his arm around me and I did the same, keeping him close to me pushing my head against his shoulder. When we arrived home, mom was looking happy to see us both alive and well. She hugged me tight and then hugged Silver for bringing me home.

"I'm so glad you're both ok." Elena said hugging me and Silver again.

She then looked at me, eyes wide open. She noticed the holes and blood on my clothing.

"Razor, a ... are you alright? There's blood on your clothing!" She said.

"Yea mom, I'm ... just fine. Don't worry about it." I smiled.

She may have noticed the holes and blood, but I'm sure she couldn't find any wounds. For half the day I was quiet and didn't say a thing, most of the time I was just spending in my room, holding my parents' picture in my hands, crying ... wishing they were here. Here ... to help me, to hold me when I'm feeling down. But I know, they never will be at my side again ... ever.

A knock came to the door and I quickly hid the picture and dried my tears.

"Come in." I said.

Silver then soon entered the door with a sad face. I'm sure he could tell I was hiding my tears, my sadness all to myself. Making it almost unbearable for myself. Without words he came sitting next to me and hugged me tight. He held me in his arms ... exactly the way I wanted to be held. Careful, yet hard so I know, I'm being held by caring and helpful arms. The arms of a person that cares for me. Someone that wants to help and protect me from all danger. Someone ... like a dad.

"Silver. Thank you." I said silently.

"Hm? What for Razor?" He asked.

"Thank you ... for everything, and also thank you for being with me now and back then." I said.

"And also ... thank you for holding me right now. Just ... what I needed."

With that said, I closed my eyes and fell asleep in his arms.

"Don't worry Razor, I'm here for you ... whenever and wherever you need me, I'll be there for you." Silver said right after.

Few hours later

I woke up and found myself on my bed asleep next to Silver who was still holding me. He didn't move away from me ever since I fell asleep.

"Thank you ... Silver, you're the ... best friend someone can wish for." I said.

I got up and tried not to wake Silver at which I apparently failed to do since he was looking right at me.

"Well, you're welcome Razor, you're a great friend to have as well." Silver said.

"Heh, thanks ... buddy." I smiled.

Elena soon yelled to both of us to come down for dinner, which we did, both smiling at each other, happy to be together and having a great friend like each other. Dinner looked delicious as usual and I was starving like a wolf, heh. Dinner didn't last long, since I was so hungry I ate it pretty fast. Both Elena and Silver were staring at me as I was pretty much just pouring everything in my mouth and swallowing it all. I noticed this and stopped chewing and started staring back at both of them.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. Looks like you're starving here." Silver said.

Both mom and Silver were pulling up their eyebrow and kept staring at me which made me feel uneasy, almost like I had done something wrong.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked.

"No, that's not it." Elena said.

"You're pretty much just swallowing everything whole."

"Oh, um that. Heh, um sorry about that." I smiled putting my hand behind my head.

"I won't do it again, it's just ... I was hungry."

"We noticed." both mom and Silver said in unison.

With that we all laughed and had some fun after dinner, Silver telling some jokes and making weird faces. Mom, making some of her best cookies I've had in my entire life and me playing the piano to keep a nice mood in the house. We all enjoyed the time we had together and before we knew it ... night had already come and it was bedtime for all of us.

"Well, that was a lot of fun." Elena laughed.

"Yea sure was." Silver smiled.

"Hey Razor, where'd you get so good with the piano?" He asked.

"I never learned it anywhere, I just practised on my own. Teaching me everything I needed to learn." I explained.

"Well you're doing great at it, so keep it up." Silver said.

"Sure, will do." I smiled before heading upstairs and going to bed.
