Puppy Love : Part 1 by: Pent Ghelsburg

Disclaimer: This story series is the fifth continuation of my other series. While it is not directly related to the background story of my fursona, it is very early in his life. This story attempts to maintain the scientific realism of my other works. However the basic theme now shifts from something new but not all together different. Be also mindful that this is my third go with some minor smut. Let me know if you have any comments, suggestions, or criticisms. I am open to everything so please feel free to leave me a message!

Chapter 1: Morning Routine

A new day broke, the sun rose over the horizon as the alarm chimed in the first day of school. Summer had seemingly ended before I knew it. Stretching and yawning I crawled my way out of bed. I was not one to complain. I loved to learn and was eager to make new friends. It would be my first day of 7th grade, even know I had technically been through the motions in my previous life. All that was forgotten to me and I wagged my tail excitedly preparing for the auspicious return to school life. Samaliel had already set my things on the side of the room for me to change into.

Working the sleep out of my way, I groggily carried my way over to the closet. I grabbed the change of clothing before heading my way into the shower. Turning on the hot water, I stepped over to a nearby chair and began to strip myself of my Pajamas and underwear. Now naked I entered into the warm water as it ran a over my skin, matting my fur. Bathing was a tedious task that required much attention and shampoo. Taking a bar of soap into my paw I began the laborious event of lathering up my furry body.

After several minutes of lathering, and several more of allowing the suds to settle I began the process of shampooing myself. This took almost a quarter of the bottle each time, assuring that no length of fur was missed. Every square centimeter of my body was shampooed from my footpaws all the way up to my ears. Once complete in this endeavor I allowed the water to rinse off the remaining cleaning residue. Now feeling fresh for the day I stepped out and turned off the water. The room was still hot and steamy, and moisture dripped from my body.

Taking a towel from the rack, I sat myself down and began the equally painstaking process of drying myself. Gripping the towel in my hand I began at my feet, working the fabric in between my paw pads and over the top of my footpaws. Then I took the woolen material around my legs and behind, trying my best to work the moisture out. Continuing upward I worked the towel around my rear end and tail before drying my sheath and balls. Before long I heard Samaliel's voice beckoning me down for breakfast. I tried my best to rush the drying by employing a hair dryer to speed up the process.

Not liking to be rushed, I continued until I felt that I had sufficiently dried myself before finally clothing myself in my school uniform. A form fitting pair of black slacks, red button up shirt, black shoes, and matching socks were the schools go to colors. The set had been modified to accommodate my tail and digigrade bone structure. Feeling contempt that I had been dressed, I finally retired out of the bathroom and made my way back into my room. It was the beginning of a beautiful day.

Chapter 2: The bus ride

Stuffing the necessary supplies into my backpack, I looked around making sure I hadn't forgotten anything. I wouldn't want to not be prepared for my first day of school. Not wanting to anger Sama, I rushed downstairs before plopping myself onto a chair. Samaliel had already finished making me oatmeal and fruit, which he served warm together in a bowl. Not much was said Samaliel knew I was likely excited, nervous, or possibly even a combination of both.

After finishing my meal, I thanked Sama and hugged him. Samaliel then inquired.

"Want a ride to school?" I considered this notion for a moment.

Did I want to go in the bus with the other kids? Perhaps Arthur would be on the bus, I thought to myself.

"Nah..." I responded with some hesitation.

Samaliel simply nodded before handing me a pre-made lunch bag with some things inside he'd stashed for meal-time later that day. I hastily placed the bag inside of my backpack before hastily making my way outside. It wasn't quite as warm as summer but there was a distinct change in the climate from camp. The season was in fact changing so it would likely become cooler over time. However my fur made it easier to accommodate a colder climate.

It wasn't long before the bus arrived. That banana yellow cheese wagon carried on stopping at my house with a hiss of air that resulted in the glass doors folding open. Looking up the black staircase, I spied a pudgy looking pug of a thing sitting in the chair, should the chair had even shown beneath it's own girth. Stepping up stairs the large, androgenous looking thing shoved a donut into it's maw without paying much attention to me before saying:

"Get goin' kit"

Feeling the bus move beneath me only hastened my movement forward as I jostled around the bus searching for a friendly face. Some of them seemed familiar but most of them were foreign since I had not seen them after their changes resulting from the accident. Looking around I didn't spot Arthur, so I filed into to the first open seat I could find. Looking over to my right, I spotted a thinner looking golden Shiba Inu puppy. Looking him over he couldn't have been more than 11. He was quite cautious with my entry into the chair next to him, huddled up by the window, tail between his legs.

The boy seemed afraid for sure and could have likely used some companionship. So I decided to placate his anxiety.

" Hey there, you don't have to be afraid."The boy didn't seem to say much, instead bundling up into a ball.

I decided to just let him be. After the bus finally stopped at the school. Wishing my seat-mate a friendly goodbye. Deciding that he'd warm up to me eventually.

Approaching the school I couldn't help but feel nervous. Looking around, an array of different canine species encompassed the building. It was an all boys school and I was ready to learn new things. I was especially keen on seeing Arthur again, hoping that he'd enrolled at the same school. I approached the building with some trepidation but did my best to ignore it and carry on.

Chapter 3: School Days

Making my way into the school, I shuffled my way through the crowd of fur and backpacks. Many students were taller than I was and a small few were smaller than I. Finding my way to the information desk, I made my to a line. Inquiring the purpose of the line, I gathered that it was for schedules. Surely that was something I needed to get to class. Filing my way into the A-G line, I patiently awaited my turn to get my schedule. Looking around me to see if I could spot Arthur, or really any friendly face that I knew from scouts.

After being shoved forward and guided, rather roughly, to the front of the line I returned my attention to an older teenage jackal who was manning my line. Asking for my name, I chimed my response before the older male searched through the his files. After searching the jackal pulled out a small yellow paper and handing it to me before asking me to move aside. Making my way to a clearing over near the wall, I examined the small paper and deduced that my first class was in room 704. Looking around the building I searched for some sense of direction before spotting a map.

The map showed me that the 700 rooms were in the west side of the building. Apparently all of 7th grade was divided into that quarter. Looking for markings leading to the west side of the building I made my way to the middle of the hall, where I believed 704 would be. After deeming myself correct I entered into the room labeled 704. In the front was a lithe looking hyena, writing on the dry erase board. Toward the back was desks organized into rows. Half the room was filled with male furs of various shapes and sizes, though all of them were of the canine variety.

Finding a spot in the front row, I set my things down before pulling something out of my bag to write with. Then sitting down I folded my arms and shuffled my feet into the desk. Several moments later, after more students filled the room, the bell rang signaling the start of class. The hyena turned around and began to address the class, first calling role. After hearing my name, I raised my paw assuring that I wouldn't be marked absent for the first day of class. After completing role class the hyena introduced herself as Mrs. Fontaine.

It was only homeroom so not much more needed to be said before we were sent off to our first real class. For me it was my favorite subject, Science. Not in the same hall, in room 805, it didn't take me long to gather before I traveled across the corridors. Larger furs populated this building. It seemed my brother had opted out to register me for advanced science with the 8th graders. I didn't regret the choice and instead decided to welcome the challenge before entering the room.

Chapter 4: Science

The room was sparcely decorated in comparison to Fontaine's, who was also my history teacher. Instead I found more solace in the decoration of devices and glassware that littered the counter on the side of the room. It was typical of a lab, yet more than what I was expecting from a Middle School classroom. It didn't take me long to get my things together for Science class. I was ready for anything the instructor would throw at us.

Unlike in Fontaine's room the instructor seemed to be absent. Perhaps they had not had a homeroom. A door opened before a Beauceron appeared donning a labcoat and thin glasses atop it's snout. Fixing it's glasses so they fastened against it's head the toned male overlooked the class with a grin before introducing himself in a thick masculine French accent.

"Good evening pups, You may call me Dr. Moreau." A deathly silence came over the class.

My heart skipped a beat for moment. Had he really just invoked the name of Moreau? Was it the same ones in the stories? It couldn't have been...or so I thought. Feeling a poke from behind me, recalled my fears back to reality. Looking to see who it was, I was met with a ferocious grin, one that I was all to welcome to see. The smile belonged to Arthur and it sent my prior anxiety soaring, before I had a crack of a ruler on my desk.

"Pay attention, young man." Moreau beckoned my attention, flicking the ruler on his wrist.

Not wanting to incur his wraith, I quickly turned around. I only assumed Arthur had done the same. The male was an imposing figure and his under-shirt did little to hide his muscular aperture. Returning to his podium, he droned on about the class rules and expectations. Hearing his lecture one could safely guarantee, that Moreau was not going to be a pushover. Going over his own past Moreau had a variety of experience, though most of it military. He refrained telling us why he was no longer enlisted, instead responding with:

"That's none of your business, pup." Before crossing his arms defensively.

Going over the lab portion of the class, resulted in a smile from my face. Even my tail was wagging as he began to discuss the experiments that he had planned this year. Despite Moreau's obvious strict nature, I could tell that I was going to like this class. After all I had an infinite and insatiable love for science. Nothing Moreau, or anyone else did for that matter, could dampen my enthusiasm for it. I would make it my goal to impress Moreau, surely he could show me something new sometime. After finishing, Moreau dismissed us for our next class. The tense air of unease was released as the boys exited the class.

Chapter 5: Lunch

Outside Moreau's class I finally got a chance to catch up with Arthur. Though it hadn't been long since we'd seen each other, it felt like an eternity. Outside the lab, I felt a playful tug on my tail before turning around and discovering it was Arthur. Looking up at him, I gave him a playful lick. He explained that he was in 8th grade and after examining our schedules together we deduced that we had 3 classes together; Science, Math, and Gym. Though this was not every class, it was better than nothing.

We didn't have much time to catch up, it was enough to know that we'd at least see each other for part of the day. Resuming to our next classes, the first half of the day continued on like normal. It was before the end of French class that my stomach growled and I realized that lunch time was near. Patiently awaiting for my dismissal from French, I made my way into the cafeteria. Entering inside of it, I was greeted by hordes of other male furs, the youngest group of which had already gotten their food.

Our grade was the 2ndreleased to lunch. Most of the boys in line were boys I had seen throughout the day. I assumed that 8th grade would be last. Shuffling forward in the line to the front, I got my choice of dishes. Being a vegetarian, I selected fruit, vegetables, and other greens for my meal. My drink of choice was milk, which I had become more accustomed to since being weaned off of protein shakes. Finding my over to the lunch tables, I located a suitable spot where I could resign to quietly eating food without fear of being bothered by other furs.

Shortly after the first bell dismissed the 6th graders a new group of boys entered the room, most likely the 8th graders. I had not paid them much attention before sensing a presence behind me as I ate. Suspecting mischief, I looked behind me and veered upward, examining an unknown seemingly larger and more intimidating fur. It wasn't long before the older boy shoved me insisting me to vacate the seat, assuring that no other spots were to be had.

Partially afraid and not wanting to incite conflict, I removed myself from the seat. Looking around, many seats were available. Just that moment of hesitation resulted in the larger boy pushing me over the table, spilling my tray and left over milk onto the table top. He pinned me down before growling. Even the stench of his breath was unappealing. Not able to move, unable to retaliate I was unsure of what to do, somewhat in a panic pinned under the larger boy. Luckily someone lept into action, perhaps not even knowing someone else was at risk.

Locking the boy from behind, Someone seized the other boys movement which allowed me freedom to escape. Finally able to breath a sigh or relief, I realized it was Arthur. Arthur was not deterring, instead commanding the bully to apologize before he was released. To his dismay, a delayed adult intervention resulted in the two breaking up the fight. A frown came over my face, I felt a bit guilty as the two were wisked away, seemingly to detention. But it seemed I was out of harms way for now...Though I couldn't stop thinking about how Arthur would be negatively affected.

Moping my head in dismay as the bell rang symbolizing the end of lunch. I couldn't help but feel at fault for Athur's punishment. Surely I would have to apologize later, assuming I saw him the rest of the day. I decided that I should report the incident to the principal, or at least someone of authority. Perhaps that would reduce Arthur's sentence. So I picked up my garbage before throwing it away before making my way to Administration.

To be continued....
