Lee and Mina (Episode 5): New Beginnings

NOTE: This story takes place where Part 4 left off.

When Paula and Lee returned from Kyle's house, Raymond was waiting in the living room for them, seeing them come into the room together, curious about what happened while he was busy with Mina. "So...how did things go?", Raymond asked calmly.

"That's all well and good, honey...but we still need to know what he intends on doing about this", Raymond answered back, wondering if he should've gone over there with them to get a straight answer.

Paula approached her husband, placed her hand on his chest and touched her cheek to his. "Relax, sweetheart...Kyle's a good boy. "Raymond...you worry too much. Kyle wants to help Lee raise their kids, but at the same time, he also wants to be a part of Mina's life as well. He doesn't want them to end up like Maggie and I, he wants them to stay together", Paula explained calmly to her husband as he calmed down somewhat.

"Well...you always told me that you would've liked to have more kids...and while this isn't exactly what I had in mind, I suppose we can help our daughter", Raymond told Paula softly, deciding to help Lee raise the babies inside their daughter's womb. He then turned his attention to Lee as he became a bit more serious. "However, there are a few conditions I want to impose upon you and your boyfriend in exchange", Raymond explained to Lee as she looked up to her father and felt nervous.

When Raymond heard his daughter's reaction, his eyes teared up a little. He didn't mean to make her feel scared, he just wanted to explain some things to her. "Sweetheart, come sit down between your mother and I", Raymond asked calmly as Paula moved over to make a space for Lee to sit down on the couch. Lee cautiously obeyed her father before he took one of her hands and held it gently.

"Honey, what I meant was that if your mother and I are going to help you with the kids, we're going to need you to be responsible too", Raymond softly explained to Lee as she looked at him curiously, seeming a little calmer given that she had her mom at her side and how he was speaking to her in a loving tone. "First of all...I want you and Kyle to stay in school. Your kids are important, but so is making sure you prepare for your futures. We don't want either one of you to drop out of school and struggle to support them", Raymond continued. "Secondly, and most importantly, I don't want you two giving us more grandchildren after this until you're able to support them on your own. If you and Kyle want to be intimate with each other, I want you to make sure that you use contraception before you do it", Raymond added in a more serious tone. "Do you understand what I'm getting at, honey?", he concluded a few moments later as Lee nodded and he touched his nose against hers.

"Lee...Daddy loves you...Daddy will always love you and I will do whatever I can to make you happy. You and your sister are very important to me", Raymond assured Lee, thinking that she needed it at that moment. She embraced her father tightly, knowing deep down that what he was telling her was the truth. "Good girl...now then, Daddy has something important that he needs to discuss with your sister. Why don't you stay here with your mother and start thinking of things you'll need for the babies", Raymond calmly told her daughter before leaving Lee with Paula. However, Raymond had a hunch about what this so-called crisis was.

"Let me guess...your daughter bought "yiffberry candies" from some raichu named Athena and got knocked up, didn't she?", Raymond asked back, catching Fawn's father by surprise.

"Why yes...how did you know that?", the male ninetales asked in response to Raymond's "mind-reading" abilities.

"Because the same damn thing happened to my Lee", Raymond answered back. "I'm willing to bet that Simone is probably in the same boat that our daughters are in too", Raymond added as Fawn's father started to get upset as Raymond could hear growling coming from the other end of the line.

"When I get my hands on that electric rat, I swear to God that I'll...", Fawn's father started to grumble before he remembered that he was talking to another one of those "electric rats". "Sorry, I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about that bitch that duped our daughters", he promptly added apologetically. However, Raymond knew full well how Fawn's father felt.

"That's alright, I'd call her a rat too...in fact, I'd call her far worse things than that if I had my way", Raymond mentioned as an idea popped in his head. "Hey...we should get together and do something about this", Raymond added as the male ninetales on the end of the other line was listening. "Go call Simone's dad and find out if she ended up like our daughters. I'll call the school principal and the three of us can go find this Athena and make HER life miserable!", Raymond continued as Fawn's father seemed to like the idea quite a bit.

"You got it! I'll call him right now and then I'll start getting the paperwork ready. We'll make our move tomorrow", Fawn's father exclaimed as Athena had no idea that she had just made a very big mistake. While Raymond was hell-bent on beating the ever-loving snot out of anyone who threatened his daughters, he just couldn't hit a female. He learned long ago that unless he was acting in self-defense, it was never appropriate to hurt a female. However, Fawn's dad and Simone's step-father could do things unto Athena that would be worse than any punishment that Raymond could possibly dish out. Fawn's father happened to be an attorney and Simone's step-father (a German Shepherd) happened to be on the police force. Mina reached out for her sister's hands, holding them gently as she looked at Lee. She intended to release it on the officer, knowing that it was likely that he would be incapacitated by the shock.

Once Athena had been subdued, Raymond turned her over to the police officer so she could be taken into custody and placed into a suit that would prevent her from using her electric charge. "Well, I guess we'll have to add attempted murder to the charges she'll be facing then, won't we", Fawn's father mentioned, going with Simone's step-father to start the legal process while Raymond returned home.
